theft
Approx. 6 years ago I got an idea and I called Davison Design for help. I was told that I needed to come up with $795 for them to check and see if my idea was a new one or an old one. I did not have the money. So all these years go by and I get a phone call from William Bronson of Davison Design and he told me how great my idea was and that I could make a lot of money but he needed the $795 up front. I told him I could not spare it because I was a Dad and had a family so he asked what I could pay and I told him $150 so months go by and William still talked to me about making money and what a good idea it is and so on. I was not work alot and I did not have money to spend on this because of Christmas and my sons birthday was in September so in August of 2013 was the last time I spoke to William. I did not answer any calls from him. I did not respond back to any emails at all. I get a receipt emailed to me for payment of $195 on November 29 of 2013. I called William up and asked him why he took money out of my account WITHOUT my permission? He laughed at me! He said I lied to him in August about what my idea presented in front of business's. So William took it upon himself to steal money out of my account during Christmas time without my permission. I never told Davison or William to take money out of my account without my permission! I told him I wanted a refund and he said no. I told him that he was a thief and a con artist and he still laughed at me. When I tried to get a refund from the company I get no responses. How did William even know if I even how money in the account? He did...$195 is a lot of money to me!

lies and corruption
Davison sales rep, Steve Smith called me after I sent an inquiry asking for more info on how they work. When he called he asked questions about my product idea. After hearing my idea he proceeded to tell me that he had never heard of my idea before and he believed They could take it to the market fast. He called me many times telling me how my idea was one of the best he ever seen come through Davison and that it would be a huge success. finally he told me that if I paid their fee quickly that my product prototype would be pushed to the top of the list and in six months it would be finished and ready to take to the market. After I paid them $11, 000 of my hard earned cash they made a ugly looking prototype that looked nothing like my product idea and he said that it didn't need to be made exactly as I requested. After 2 years I found out they just shelved me product. They are trying to charge me to take it to other companies. They took my money knowing they had no good intentions and now wont give me a partial refund. Check them out on the BBB
davison bring your idea to hell
i have been scammed for $7000
i submitted an idea to Davison and they phoned me 100s of times and they said what a great idea, its a very very good idea. They send me lots of videos, lots of magazines to wheel me in and after that they asked me to pay $750 for patent searched. I paid that. They said my idea is unique. To make the idea how i want, in the same way i wanted it they told me to it will cost $9300 and in order to start the design I needed to pay to start $7000 so i paid $7000. After 2 months i received one picture with a product which already exists in the market and nothing, absolutely nothing did this design had to do with my idea. i told them NO, this is not what i paid for and they said 'we did this because its very cheap to make'. I did not agree, they say that on the contract it states that we will choose the cheapest way to make the product, this is their argument. I cannot believe it and they said if you pant to make a prototype you have to pay another $2, 300 and we will present it to a company. I said no because no one will manufacture this as the product that they claim to have designed already exists. I contacted the company who makes the original product that Davison claim to have designed but which they have stole and they say that it is copyrighting of our product and which has a patent. This whole process cost Davison only $23 to buy and sell to me for which I've paid $7750 for. What a mistake i cannot believe it! People who read this please don't, DO NOT pay any money to them because what i experienced and what they have put me through makes me want to [censored]. The money, i borrowed it from bank, so i have to pay $10, 000 back to them and ended up with no product, no money, no hope. Thank you Davison for ruining my life. I'm crying and writing right now.
Whoever wants to contact me for more information please do not hesitate to contact me.you will not believe what they said before taking your money and after they take your money they completely change their attitude.

Dear bethea: I have emailed you five times with no answer. she dropped me as a astrolger without warning and I have no idea why. I haven't bought any products lately that is probaly why she dropped me which makes me believe this could of been a scam. I love the jewerly I got but it doesn't make me any happier or rich in life like bethea says it would but I still enjoy wearing it anyway. If bethea is a scammer she shouldn't be online anymore I know she hasn't contacted me anymore. it shouldn't matter if I buy something or not she still should of still emailed me as her astrolger.
Sincerely,
Linda

Sounds like it's just a scam to get your money if they make you believe you did something you did, in fact, not do.
fraudulent/scam artists
Nothing has changed since davison co. Was indicted in 2008., except maybe their name. And after giving them $795 I found out too late. Yes, upon reading other complaints, their price has increased, like their bs. Once they received the $795, the woman I was working with changed. Her attitude became pushier. Now she wanted more money before anything else could be done. From what I saw and what she told me was totally different.in other words I needed to come up with $5000. And like a true salesman, if I came up with the money within a week it would be discounted by 50 dollars. I explained my disability and what it took and the time to come up with $795. She didn't care. It was basically get a backer, rob someone, whatever it takes to get the money. She professes to be a christian, while robbing them if she can. I ignored her sharp comments along with her calls. The only way emails stopped was when I referred to their indictment in 2008. She knew how I struggled but it didn't matter to her. All of her calls were lies. It was a lot of bs and getting money from me at any cost. My lesson was learned. Investigate first. Not later. It's really sad that the consumers don't get any money back and george davison is allowed to continue to rob the world with no accountability. Another complaint I read indicated the company employs 100 sales people. The lady I worked with, debra watson, indicated to me that 300 people did what she did, when I asked her. So the company is allowed to continue on. My question is this, why weren't they put out of business, instead of a slap on the wrist when they were indicted? A good indicator of future behavior is past behavior. So he is only getting worse than he was before.

Submitted idea along with money to have them help patent idea and sell and or split royalty fees with and they scammed me along with 340 others here on this site.
their knowing before hand ur invention is not going anywhere... they take your money and build your confidence so you stay.
I feel I was taken by the company and their representatives. When I first started with them brad Felix said I had a great idea and kept up with the greatness of my product. I invested to date approximately 9, 000. Now they want $350. Because the one company they had in mind, Boston medical, didn't want what I had. They checked no other companies like they said they would and if I wanted to go further to now send them $350. I would like to take out an ad on the front of a newspaper and announce DO NOT USE THEM . What can I do about this...I think the company may very well have some good points but the majority of the people do loose and they know how to pull you back into staying with the program.
NEED HELP ! My idea is with Davison, already giving them a little over $800.00. I really feel as though my product woud be a good one. My rep, Hasan makes it sound so great. They are looking for $9, 020.00 . They already informed me of a company that might be interested (so he says). At one point Davison put through a payment of my visa on the wrong day. Davison issued my a refund, so I gave them the authority to put it through when it was supposed to go through. I felt confident in them then. I've been trying to come up with this money from all different places. It is coming down to me using my disbability check and taking out $300.00 each month to pay this off. (which I really can't afford to, at times a barely have food for my family). I guess my question is there any body out there that has any good to say about this company or am I being taking for a fool. The videos sent to me with the people and success stories are so realistic. PLEASE POST YOUR OPIONS, NEED HELP. AM I WASTING ALL MY MONEY ?
yes you are following a dream same as me i paid 750 dollars and then wanted a further more money 1400 im sure i stopped it there plz stop the debit being withdrawn go to bank whatever and stop the paments him taking it from your account take my advice shut him down ch
They scammed me out of $13, 000 I am looking for an attorney now.
11,000 invention scam
Hello,
My Name is Valerie Strickland and I'm writing to you in hopes that you can help me. I have been through a total nightmare with a company called Davison. It all started almost 2 years ago they contacted me because they liked my idea I put on an online questionaire. They buttered me up real good right from the jump. I have all the documents and contracts and "portfolios" but for the initial purpose of this letter I will keep it short and simple. They first charged me $695.00 for Pre-Development and some other balogna. After that was completed and after my husband and I took a roadtrip out to Pittsburgh (from NJ) to make sure this was an actual company and not someone running a scam from their basement they hit me with another "Development" charge of $9, 840 and 10% royalties assigned to Davison. I currently have the patent pending to my product and I plan on re-newing it again in March. This company is reduculous. First off, I was shuffeled around dealing with numerous people one EXTREMLY rude (Frank) and one that got fired (Charles) although he was actually very nice, go figure. They constantly told me one thing on the phone and another in writing. I'm at the point now where I insist on speaking through e mail so I have copies of all the bs they feed me, but Wilma Wallace said "they do not communicate via e mail". They must be afraid of the paper trail.
So after all that money I sent them I was told by a man named Charles Cassella there would be NO FUTHER charges! After looking this company up on rip off and scam websites I learned of nuerous other people that have the SAME story as me! Same names and same lines of bologna they were fed! (Wish I found this beforehand) But unfortunately that too was a lie. After presenting to their "Targeted Company" and them not being interested in it they insist I pay them another $385 to repackage the idea! They claim they change the packaging to match the targeted company during presentation so they can "invision" the product being theirs. Not to mention when I requested my product sample there was no company name on the crappy box they sent me, which looked like it took $5.00 to make! Actually receiving my product sample infuriated me! It took over a month to get, which makes me think they never actually had one to begin with. They may have made it when I requested it! Let's not forget that I've given Davison almost $11, 000 when all fees are added up. The product sample looks like something you would buy from a dollar store! When I complained they told me it's just the "idea" they're presenting and when a company shows interest they'll fund changes to the product. I thought my $11, 000 would fund something a little better than the hunk of junk they're presenting. No wonder the 2 companies they presented to diddn't bite. I wouldn't buy their presentation either. Here's another problem I have, if they have to "invision" the idea of my product with whatever changes they wanna make why can't they "invision" their name on the box?! It makes no sence for me to pay $385.00 to re-package and to re-package again when the targeted company thinks the product looks like a POS. My sample also didn't "solve a problem" like it was supposed to. The problem was taking down and putting up holiday decoratins repeatidely. My sample was supposed to include a lantern of some sort that would stay up as landscape lighting in between holidays. They sent me a pumpkin and a snowman! They breached contract more than once.
Davison told me "I hired them" that "I was in charge" imagine that! If it were only true things would be going much smoother. I have specifics for my lighting idea. I had a name they ignored because the interested company would name it. I wanted energy saving bulbs, which were nowhere to be found on the $385.00 box I paid for. I wanted a QUALITY product, which I was assured via phone that I would get for my $11, 000 investment, in fact that was why it costed so much. My husband is an electrician and has been for almost 20 years he told me exactly what would work best for my idea, they ignored it all. Actually when they sent me the product sample paper I had to sign I signed it with a note saying how Charles Cassella told me the final product would look much better and they told me they could not move forward until I signed without the note attatched. This was after they already had all my hard earned money. I have 2 kids and another on the way funds are VERY limited for my family. I busted my but to give them all that money, just to get ripped off. I have no more to give and they are at a stand still unless I pay MORE money to re-package. I have discussed my idea with other invention production companies but they also want almost asm much money, and I just can't afford it! I want to be seen on air to tell my story so hundreds of other people don't get scammed by them! I'm telling you they are professional con-artists! If I could just save ONE family the financial hardship they have caused me I would be SOOOO happy! I really believe in Karma and I hope they get caught. I can not afford an Attorney to go out of state to sue for numerous breaches of contract either, my options are pretty limited, not to mention my dreams shattered!
According to Davison, I will owe them no royalties if I secure a deal with another company as long as it is not the 2 companeis they presented my idea to. I just got my release from them in writing (which I had to fight for despite it being in my contract!) I have a product sample, which isn't up to my standards but still get's part of the idea across. I have a "patent pending" (which after discussing my idea with another company they told me it really isn't "patent pending" that was more of Davison's word-play game) already and my portfolio of all the scematics of the product. Anything you guys could do to help would be MUCH appreciated. My family is depending on this. This cost really hurt us and I refuse to give Davison another dollar, their customer service is unacceptable and I hope they go down in flames. I'm looking for a company that will listen to my ideas and actually make them happen, not say they will make it happen then you have to "invision" the product. I could have invisioned it for free! I have made numerous attepts to speak to Mr. Davison himself, with no luck. I guess he's just too busy scamming more clients. They claim they take my product idea to trade shows, yet when I asked the if they could tell me where they have brought my idea they said they don't have that information! It's amazing how "the boss" which was supposed to be myself has been left in the dark. I have recorded conversations between them and myself where they say one thing on the phone then they put another in writing. I have filed complaints with scam sites and the BBB is currently investigating the matter. I won't stop until I bring light to the situation! In times like these to take advantage of people, especially those supporting a family on a very limited income is disgusting!
I REALLY thought this was a reputable company, I did soooo much research on them beforehand. They were even on the news claiming how they help the economy by producing American made products, deturing customers from imports and boosting our ecomomy. I contacted 7 on your side to inform them about the ad and how that company treats it's clients but I never herd back from them! I had to do some serious convincing to get my husband to support this idea as well. As you can imagine I have not stopped hearing about this mistake and huge financial loss we had taken by pursuing this idea. The only thing that my husband said was that it was a great idea and he really believed in me and would back me up 100%. He was supportive yet reluctant on the validity of Davison. This is why we spent even more money taking a trip to "Inventionland" located in Pittsburgh to see for ourselves. We really made sure we dotted our i's and crossed our t's. I feel like I let my entire family down!
Thanks so much for your time in reading this plea. I just don't know what else to do besides reach out to anyone and everyone that could possibly help me and my family. I am re-newing my "patent pending" or whatever it actually is, which is up in March 2012 in hopes someone bites on my invention during the next year. Also, to protect myself from Davison taking my idea which they have every detail of and making a profit on their own, they already made enough off of me. I guess I will have to talk to the patent office directly without Davison's manipulation involved. Please contact me to discuss the details of my idea, I'm sure you will love it. It is economical, it solves a problem, everyone uses these, and it will save customers money in the long run if actually made according to my specifications. ANYONE I have confided in has thought it was a GREAT idea! Perhaps I fell through the cracks with Davison, but they have had numerous chances to make it right, they just don't seem to care. I'm preying to God I can find SOMEONE that cares! SOMEONE that has the power and following to shed some light on thse scammers! Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to me vent. Take care guys, and keep doing what you do best, helping people!
Also I have no proof photos because they are good at what they do and they do not put their BS in e mails or contracts, I do however have RECORDED coverations where they are caught in MANY MANY lies! They are professional scammers, just google it!
Thanks Again,
Valerie Strickland

rip off of 15,000. dollars
December 20th 2012
It will be eight years ago in April, that my life and the lives of my five precious children, turned upside down in the worst possible ways imaginable. That day, april the tenth 2005. I lost my children, my home, my community, my church, my dignity, my freedom, my livelihood, everything. Without going into painful details, I was in a situation that only money could fix. I was returned to my country of birth, Canada, after thirty years of absence, not a penny in my pocket, nobody to help me. It was to say the least, an excruciating experience that I do not wish on anybody. After turning to every single associations under the sky, I understood that only I could find a solution to be reunited with my beautiful children, I needed a plan and fast.
After almost a years of crying and experiencing deep depression and sorrows, I wiped my eyes and went to work. Years prior, I had a genius idea that every household under the sun, would appreciate and need. It was a simple and very ingenious little idea. After many hours of praying and searching the Net, I found them, Davison Integration.
I contacted them, and spoke with a very professional representative of the company. He explained to me in a very details and comprehensive way the role of this particular company. He let me know that they would need 60 dollars to research my idea, to make sure that I would not be waisting my money and time pursuing an idea already patented or created. That is what sold me with this very crafty company. Very well done indeed. I am in no way, an easily persuaded kind of woman. I am actually pretty skeptical, I thought.
At that particular time, the hardships of my life had taken a devastating tole on my money situation. I had to turned to my poor children, all the way in the US Virgin Island, to supply the 60 dollars needed to continue on this very important venture. Hanging on to the glimpse of hope, they emptied their pockets and piggy banks to supply me with the 60 dollars that could save our lives.
I do not want to get in the details of this rip off Company tactics, simply because, I do not want the heartless, money hungry predators of the internet world, using this wicked information against another honest, desperate soul out there.
It has been a relationship of over six years with that company and an approximate 15, 000. investment that prompted me to write about my experience with them. They are very tricky with their legal mumbo jumbo, even though I consider myself a very intelligent, resourceful woman, they convinced me after many instances when I was ready to quit them and expose them, to continue on my dream. Every time that I wanted to speak to a higher supervisor of the Company, it was impossible. Things finally came to a screeching halt a couple of months ago. I decided that I would try to sell my idea as well on my side. I contacted Davison and ask them to ship my invention so that I could make a proper video of the actual prototype and also see with my own eyes how it really worked. The reaction of Miss Autumn Luwneski, my representative at Davison, made me extremely nervous to say the least. She was extremely reluctant to send me the actual invention. She was desperately trying to convince me not to do this. I even felt kind of bad and reassured her that I would not rip them off by selling the idea myself, and that after the professional video, I would send the invention back to them, so that we could both benefit from such a creative idea. I told my husband and my partner in this business venture, that I had already a very, very bad feeling that we have been ripped off . She sent me a contract via e-mail of two options, having the invention sent as is or having the crew check it and repair it if necessary, duhhhh, I took the second option. Another very genius trick of Davison. It gave me the feeling that they were legit and honest one more time. After almost one month of waiting, the invention got here. My heart was pounding, I was so very excited to finally see my 15, 000 dollars investment. After examining and trying the prototype, I started crying and screaming, indeed I had been had. The invention did not work, it was a flimsy little two electric wired that did absolutely nothing, attach to a store bought item, which they tried their best to conceal by sanding down the name of the company. After my son examined the prototype and researched it online, we found out that it was a store bought item of a whopping 20 dollars.
The real tragedy here is that these people after many complaints of taking honest, hard working people money through the years, still have the ok and the right to operate. I tell you, the real criminal are not necessarily behind bars. They will argue that the client is difficult and not patient enough, I was, for the last six years with them. I was polite, I even apologize when I got skeptical at time.
The naked truth is that I am still away from my children, I could of used this money in legal representation, which I do not have much faith in anymore since I also got ripped off in that department. What gives the right to this company to steal my money and string me along for the last six years. They stoled from an entire little american family that was desperate to be reunited. To top it off, I involved this precious young lady, that has been working in a deplorable kitchen of restaurant the last thirteen years from 6 am to 3 pm Hard, hard money they stole. They took our money. If anybody would come in my house and steal 15, 000. they would be in jail. If any employer would refuse to pay me 15, 000 dollars of wages, they would be pursued by the law, why is Davison still invited to morning shows, radio shows, ect...
How long before somebody punishes these crooks. They were the nicest people to me, until I asked them why they rip me off like that. They would argue that it is my fault for not pursuing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for six years, I cooperated with them at every single requests. Some people reading this will argue that it was my fault for believing their lies. It is the same phenomena than when somebody abuses you, they blame you for taking the abuses, instead of punishing and correcting the abuser. I believe in Davison, every time people tried to make me doubt them, I defended them.
I Know for a fact though that if the justice system fail to protect and avenge us, the poor people just tying to feed our family, Karma and God won't

I recently contacted Davidson Co. and spilled them my invention by email. Then to my surprise I was contacted by a representative from the Davidson Co. by the name of Jack Burlie. He said my ideas was marketable, and was willing to make an exception for me to make payments of 150 per month. so i could get my invention off and rolling as to marketing, development of product, B L A H< B L A H < B L A H . So My friend was was suspicious of the way they were going about it, and I wanted to call her bluff (that she jealous). But to my Surprise she was R I G H T. For as mad as I was for her to rain on my parade. I think her and You guys for having this available for people like me with an idea, but know money to help getting invention off the ground.. If anyone can pass me the R E A L people that could help me would be the best.. I will help anyone in anyway to shut these fake want to be something DOWN. Get them where it hurts.

choosing to work with davison was my greatest entrepreneurial mistake
In all of my years of being an entrepreneur, I have never felt so disappointed, frustrated, and powerless as I have than though working with Davison Design. This is the first time that I have ever posted about a company in public forums and the first company complaint I felt compelled to submit to the BBB. I even wrote a personal letter to George Davison himself in hopes of receiving some form of response.
I understand that everyone has their own unique experience when working with Davison, but mine on nearly all accounts has been overwhelmingly negative. If after reading, you still choose to work with Davison, you must know two things. First, any verbal communication or agreements are completely nullified when you sign the first contract, meaning any Davison employee may persuade or coerce you with false promises and information while not being held liable. In my complaint to the BBB, you may pay particular attention to the things I was told throughout the entire process that turned out to be untrue. Second, just because a company has signed on to be included in Davison's list of potential target corporations does not mean that they share any professional working relationship. The target company that was chosen for my project turned out to not even return any communication whatever from Davison, let alone any decision whether to accept or reject my idea. After thousands of dollars spent and over 10 months of waiting for a reply from the target company, I did not even get the courtesy of a rejection.
Below is my exhaustive account of my unfortunate working relationship with Davison. And if an employee claiming to work with Davison feels the need to respond to my post with offers to contact their customer service department, I have already attempted this multiple times and have been virtually ignored. If my issues were able to be resolved through their customer service department, I would have had no need to post them on this forum.

Letter to George Davison:
Mr. Davison,
I am taking the time to write you personally in order to bring to your attention some facts you might find interesting about my experiences as a client working with representatives of your company.
When I first had my idea for a new invention, I made it myself and actually used it successfully for 3 months. It was so successful, in fact, that my friends and family encouraged me to make more and try to market them. While researching this avenue, I came across Davison and was immediately impressed. After a long search of looking at other companies, I decided to put my full trust and faith in yours.
I also read up on your background of how you got started in the inventing business, along with all the hardships and challenges you had to face. If I remember correctly, I believe that is one of the main reasons why you decided to start your own company; to help people bring their ideas to market while avoiding much of the negative experiences you had when starting out.
That is why I find it unfortunate to relay to you that I have been exposed to many of those same negative experiences and emotions while progressing through the design/presentation process with your company. I know you care about your company and have spent many years refining the design process, but for me as a current client, I feel that my trust in choosing your company to work with has been misplaced and I am now filled with doubt and disappointment.
My idea spent about 6 months going through the design process and has now been in the hands of the target company for over 8 months. They have not yet offered a response to the acceptance/rejection of my idea. So you see, I am not disappointed over the result of my idea, rather the design process itself, the representatives I worked with, and the lack of value that I now feel as a paying customer of your company.
I tried multiple times to resolve my issues with Davison’s Compliance Department, but after 3 weeks of being virtually ignored, I was left with no choice but to file a formal complaint with the BBB of Pennsylvania against your company.
I have included with this letter full documentation of my communication with the BBB and a representative of Davison. In the complaint, I tried to be as objective as possible, sticking to facts and not opinions, as I sincerely believe that my rights as a paying client of Davison had been violated. This is opposed to being perceived as a disgruntled client who didn’t like the way the results of my idea turned out. I do not yet have a decision from the target company, so the ending of this story is yet to be revealed.
It is my hope that you take the time to review my case and my idea’s history with your company, in order to help your company improve. Of course, I would like a favorable outcome to my idea, either by refund or acceptance by the target company. But at this point, I can only give an unfavorable review of my dealings with Davison because I do not feel that I have been treated fairly or considerately as a client, which will ultimately lead to future loss of business for your company.
Thanks for taking the time to read this letter.

Official BBB of Pennsylvania complaint:
I am writing in concern over the status of my project and the poor quality of services rendered by Davison Design.
I have been working with Davison for over a year now and have contacted multiple representatives of the company regarding my dissatisfaction with each step of the design process with little or no results.
For clarification, I will break down each stage of the design process and include my comments.
Pre-Design
During the pre-design process, I was told by my director that I would be allowed to give feedback for each stage of development, in which Davison would then use to make adjustments. A client/designer communication would be established and a two-way street of feedback/implementation would continue until the client is satisfied and thus could proceed to the next step. This was a critical point in my decision to work with Davison, as I already had working prototypes of my idea and specific information to the field of which it would be applied. I was more than willing to supply this information.
However, this client/designer communication turned out not to be true. After speaking to the vice president, he confirmed that the design process is a one-way street, where Davison provides what they think is best and there is no option to rework a project if the customer is dissatisfied.
I was also told that my idea would be presented to the target company in person, so that it could be explained and demonstrated. This also turned out not to be true. The only initial piece of information the target company received was a virtual rendering on a piece of paper.
During the pre-design process I was informed that the research and design costs of pursuing the development of my idea was eligible to be claimed as a deduction on my taxes. This was another big reason for choosing to go ahead with working with Davison. However, when it came tax time, there was no representative at Davison who could help me file the proper claim or confirm that the costs could be deducted. Even after my tax preparer called the IRS, he received conflicting information about this deduction.
Virtual Rendering
After receiving the virtual rendering, my reaction was one of disappointment. Of the three goals that Davison has set for itself in the virtual design process, I found only one out of the three was successfully accomplished.
“First, we have attempted to compile as many of the functions and features as possible of your original idea into one complete, cost-effective product that we can present to the corporation.”
- I believe this was successfully accomplished
“Secondly, we studied information about the corporation and attempted to integrate your idea into a product suitable for their line. As you will notice, your rendering illustrates packaging geared directly towards the corporation's line of products.”
- The overall package design was extremely generic and the compilation of images could have been taken from any internet photo site. I personally researched the target company’s product lines and the presented design was nowhere near the scope of their existing product packaging. I requested multiple times for a list of how the virtual rendering was specifically geared directly towards the target corporation’s product lines and was never supplied an answer.
- The images on the product packaging themselves were poorly photoshopped and the working product depicted on one of the images was grossly enlarged, completely misrepresenting the proper use and dimensions of the product.
“Lastly, we studied the name to make sure it communicates to people who have never seen a product like this before.”
- The name on the design was not chosen properly from someone with knowledge in the field to which it would be applied. While it may seem minor, the name is wholly inaccurate and would give anyone unfamiliar with the product an incorrect impression.
These concerns were recorded on the survey that accompanied the agreement and after speaking multiple times with my director and vice president, my dissatisfaction was well known at this time. I did, however, sign the agreement to continue with the process because I was told through these conversations that A) if I wanted a rework, it would have to go back at the front of queue just like a new project and may take additional months to complete, B) I was told that the virtual rendering could still be changed throughout the process after the agreement was signed, and C) I was told that the virtual rendering was “just an representation of the idea” and it was implied that it carried no real importance. If I had known at the time that this would be THE ONLY PIECE OF INFORMATION initially presented to the target company (and currently the only piece) there is absolutely no way I would have allowed the process to continue without a rework of the design.
Executive Summary
I felt the Executive Briefing fell way short of accurately and professionally representing my idea. The actual product sample presented in the photo appears to have rough-cut edges, it looks wrinkled, the stitching does not look uniform, and overall does not portray it in a manner that looks like it was professionally made. I supplied my own prototype to Davison for an example which appears of better quality construction than that which is represented in the summary.
The product packaging design looks like it was “cut and pasted” directly from the virtual rendering onto this briefing. I never did see the completed product packaging as it would be shown if the target company asked for it.
During the entire design process, I volunteered much of my own feedback and opinions of what I would have liked to see incorporated into the design and to help aid the design team in an area of which I was told they had little knowledge of. I didn’t see much (if any) of my feedback used and the inaccurate design summary reflected this.
Also, in the “New Discovery” section, there was a grammatical error. While trivial of itself, the Executive Summary was supposed to be the “final proof” of what would be shown to the target company. This made me question Davison’s quality assurance team as well as the quality of information the target company would actually receive.
Again, the above concerns were noted on the opinion form sent in with the signed agreement. And again, the only reason why I signed this agreement was because it was confirmed through speaking with the vice president that a re-design would not be possible. This is quite contrary to what I was originally told during the pre-development phase and before any money was paid to Davison. I made the choice to continue with the process, even though I was very dissatisfied at this point, because the alternative was to have my project halted and my fully paid money wasted.
Presentation to Target Company
Once I was transferred to the Licensing Department, I received an email indicating as such and was informed that my current director would no longer be my contact. This was fine, except that the incorrect name of my director was used in this email communication, which was very odd. I had also tried to contact my director asking for more information about the tax deduction for a few weeks before this time and received no responses. It was only after speaking to my new Licensing Dept. contact that I was informed that the director I had been working with was no longer with the company. This was also very odd considering all the questions and concerns I had throughout the process and furthermore, this unfortunate event was never communicated to me prior to this time.
I have been told that the virtual rendering was submitted to the target company and as of this writing, it has been over 7 months in their possession with no decision made. I have been told by my licensing department contact that 4-6 months is within the commonly acceptable time frame, which I understand. I am also fully aware that the company has the right to delegate as long as they wish without coercion from Davison to arrive at a decision. However, I have requested repeated times for the director in contact with the target company to simply ask about the status of my project on my behalf. I would like to know whether my idea is being legitimately considered among the target company or if it has even been looked at or forgotten about. I have been told that the director is in regular communication with the target company but when receiving updates from my Licensing Dept. contact, I am mostly told that the director only got a voicemail on his last call. I have requested to speak to this director as well as requested to see a list of the calls made and their results during the time in which the target company has had my project. These requests seem to have been ignored.
Customer Service
Since my extreme dissatisfaction has been escalating, I have attempted to contact Davison’s Compliance Dept. via email. I have sent three such emails indicating my concerns with the status of my project. The first email response was received three days after the initial submission and indicated that someone from Davison would contact me. I did receive a call from my Licensing Dept. contact shortly thereafter, but only to tell me that the director once again was not able to talk with the target company’s contact. No response was received about my project concerns. Two weeks later I sent another email to the Compliance Dept. and after no response after three more days, I sent another email. Another week has gone by and still I have received no response addressing my concerns.
Thus, I am now compelled to write a formal complaint through the BBB. As of now, I have no idea of the status of my project other than being in the possession of the target company. And to avoid the perception of a client who received a negative decision from the target company, I have filed these complaints before a result has been given. I have also moved to requesting a refund of the money I paid to Davison for the continual poor quality of services rendered as well as the misinformation (either intentional or unintentional) that persuaded me to sign the agreements during the developmental stages of the design process.

Most recent attempt to contact Davison's customer service dept. (also no reply from Davison):
I hired Davison Design because they claimed to be a full service company for developing and marketing ideas to corporations with which they have an established rapport. My design was sent to the target corporation, JD D'Addario, 10 months ago and there has been no decisive response from them. I recently discovered that Davison has attempted to contact D'Addario only 3 times in those 10 months, only leaving voicemail messages with no indication that these messages were ever returned. When directly posing this question of communication to my licensing department contact (of which I already knew the answer through my complaint filed with the BBB) she avoided answering, as if there was something to hide.
For a company that is supposed to have a reputation of carefully selecting target corporations to market ideas to and adding them to their database, D'Addario has shown no interest in returning any communication with Davison, let alone providing any feedback or decision about my idea that has been sent to them. I understand that target companies may take time to provide a decision, but in all regards D'Addario appears to be a "deadbeat" company that has no rapport or respect for Davison whatever. Also while Davison claims to have complete knowledge of the target company's marketing and manufacturing processes, they have claimed complete ignorance as to the company's product review process, which I find disconcerting. They say each company has its own review process and they may need time to show the idea around their departments and such. This reasoning was understood for the first 4-6 months, but at month 10, with solely a virtual rendering on a piece of paper and no indication of returned communication, this no longer holds credence.
Davison has lost a lawsuit for transparency issues before, and I see a complete lack of transparency in regards to providing me, a paying client, with truthful answers or tangible results. I have also seen no evidence that Davison is actually performing the actions that they claim to be taking with my idea.
I paid Davison for their service and trust in choosing a company to market my idea to, with which they claimed to have an established working and professional rapport with, and they simply have not delivered. It has been indicated that after 10 months, Davison hasn't even received any returned communication from D'Addario whatever and I have just been informed that Davison will no longer attempt to contact the company. To have a working relationship with this company is a false claim, and is certainly not what I paid a professional company for. For this, I request a full refund.
Thank you for your response. However, it too is very similar to the unsatisfactory response to my complaint with the BBB. That is why I have chosen to voice my experience on multiple review sites and with government agencies. By no means is my complaint harassing or defamatory, as I have only stuck to the factual account of my experience with Davison in order to inform other potential consumers. Anyone reading my full complaint can plainly see that the evidence I have supplied is far from baseless and in fact can be supported by two simple questions which I will now pose to you.
First, does Davison record every phone conversation that it has with its potential clients and existing customers? If the answer is yes, then I urge you to go back to my original conversation with Mr. Evan Cincala or any subsequent conversation thereafter, for which I can provide accurate call dates and times if you so need. It will become apparent that I was deliberately told information that was not true in order secure my written consent on the contracts. This is a classic example of an illegal "bait and switch" system for which I am embarrassed to have fallen for. If the answer is no, then that is a most unethical form of "plausible deniability" in which Davison employees may tell potential clients anything and everything to secure a written contractual consent while falling back on the "we said-they said" excuse to give unsatisfied clients like myself the perception of being untruthful or otherwise mistaken in what we heard. I did give written consent on each contract, as you consistently point out, and I make no question about this fact. However, my signatures were also based on additional falsities that were told to me in order to coerce and influence my decision to sign. This is a "sin of omission", promising in words one thing, having me sign a contract for which I understood its contents, and then retracting any verbal commitments thereafter with the explanation that they were not in the contract.
The second question, is JD D'Addario still on your list of potential clients to market new products? If the answer is yes, knowing full well they have returned NO communication with Davison whatever throughout the entire development and marketing process, then this is highly unethical for any business, as any client following me with Davison choosing for them this same company is already set up for failure before they even begin. Yes, I was shown that JD D'Addario was marketed to before but when was the last time Davison had any contact with them? Did they ever return any communication from previous clients' ideas? Was I set up for failure before I even began? And most importantly, how many other companies are on your list of potential corporations from which you can evidence no returned communication? If the answer is no, then good for you for removing them! However, that is a direct admission that Davison failed in supplying me with a legitimate corporation to which to market my idea.
The truth is, I understood every contract that I signed and all moneys paid to Davison. Poor quality work notwithstanding, I understand from my experience in business that professional contacts are worth far more than a product sample. I paid Davison for their professional business contacts and established marketing relationships with SELECT corporations with whom I have no rapport with. As it turns out, neither did Davison. If I would have received a rejection from JD D'Addario within a reasonable time frame, I would have been satisfied and taken my loss as added experience. However, I received no response at all, which means the service that I entrusted Davison to perform was not fulfilled. And that is my foundation for requesting a refund.

misrepresented themselves
I paid Davison over $6, 000 to patent and manufacturer my invention. After not hearing from them for almost a year - after paying them my borrowed investments, they told me that someone else had registered my invention. I searched all over the internet and could not firnd a product even remotely resembled mine. They flatly refused to return my monies - or parts thereof, stating that it was used to research my invention...
WHAT A BUNCH OF THIEVES!

how are they still in busi?
I"ve read so much about Davison and the complaints againts them I was just wondering how it is that they are still in business. Also how they could even dare to advertise on a website like this one. They must have someting on someone. Comments?

I do have a job actually. I defend anyone who is unfairly accused. YOU posted a complaint about a business you have no dealing with. How do you know they are unethical? Because someone said so? That makes YOU unethical and ignorant and a rumor monger. How do YOU sleep at night?
Like I said, rumors aren't nice. How about I post a complaint about what a dirty conniving [censored] you are all over the internet? Would you like it? I mean, since I have never met you and all...it will be true right?
Next time you post a complaint about a business, make sure it is one you have actually had business with. People like you are disgusting. I bet you were a bully rumor spreader in grade school.
Wow! What a fun job you have! How much money do you get for defending unethical businesses? Is it worth it? How do you sleep at night? I guess that makes you a prostitute too!
I have a comment...I heard you were a prostitute and that you give free oral sex. I guess since I read it on the internet it must be true so I want to know how you still have a day job...
Do you see what rumors get you? Do you not think you should judge a business on personal experience and not he said/she said? You are here slamming a business you know absolutely nothing about, and I am willing to bet my bank account your employer, if you have one, has complaints too...how are they still in business?
lost money
The company charged me $10, 000.00 to design my invention and present my idea to various companies. Davison claims to have presented my idea to over 50 companies but never showed any proof of doing so. After several years of dealing with their company I requested to have the prototype of my idea sent to me and it was not only cheaply made but it did not look like the picture that was sent to me! They took $10, 000.00 and I have nothing to show for it but a cheap prototype.
rip off artists
My business partner and I designed a cosmetic item and submitted technical drawings, detailed specification, colour jpeg photos and also sent a working prototype (they "didn't receive" it). Now seven months and several thousand dollars down the road, the only thing to show for this is a third rate computer generated graphic of a completely different design (actually a virtually identical copy of an item currently marketed by Dior!) and rather a lot of snippy behaviour from one Daniel (Weisz?) of Davision. According to him, everything appears to be the fault of their design team - who I am not sure even exist! Of course, it is impossible to speak to anyone from said design team, or even find anyone at all within the company who seems to have any idea how our invention is progressing - NOT, obviously. I can only plead with anyone even thinking of giving this bunch of snake oil salesmen the benefit of the doubt, DO NOT. Avoid this company like the plague. The only people who should be interested in Davison should be investigative journalists and a law enforcement agency or two. That they remain allowed to fleece genuine people who hope to see something they have designed become a reality, is itself a travesty. They are immoral at best, criminal at worst.
Further to the response from Davison. In no particular order: I was never under the illusion that my invention would generate multi-millions, I WAS however mis-sold the idea that it would actually be made reality by yourselves - something that you seem unwilling or unable to do. Despite numerous attempts to obtain information as to the developmental stage of the invention, the standard answer when anyone from your company is available is that "they don't know". Apparently it is also not possible for Daniel (our contact) to extract any sort of update or knowledge from the design team and he stated he is also unable to provide any time frame when they might actually produce anything at all- a very unusual way to conduct business. Surely you must accept that as an "inventor" or "investor" it is only reasonable that after over seven months of waiting and $11, 500 later, it is not unreasonable to expect something tangible from your company. However, your staff seem unwilling to even be available to contact, never mind get in touch themselves. If you had submitted technical drawings, photos, a working prototype and eleven and a half grand, would you not expect to be kept in the loop? I believe your statement to be a standard one size fits all response that aims to deflect any shortcomings on behalf of your company by accusing any complainant of being a disgruntled former employee or competitor. I am neither - I am a disgruntled customer.
lack of professionalism
Okay,
I was contracted with Davison Inventions to pursue "pre-development" work. This was about 800.00 to pursue. No big deal...
Now let me preface this with the fact that I had ONLY signed the contract to pursue this initial stage. I had not in any way agreed to pursue any other services through Davison. I paid the ~800 in full right away.
They had put together the pre-development work, to completion, and mailed it to me...
A few days after I received my package, both of my "backers" had to drop out due to financial reasons.
I emailed Sean Jones, my sales rep, and told him that I wasn't able to pursue the 2nd stage (licensing presentations/prototype, etc).
When I told Sean to close my account, I was replied to, via email, with the words "What a waste of time, I will close it now."... ... ... That was it. No "sorry for your troubles", no "best of luck", rather an email telling me that, EVEN THOUGH I FULFILLED MY OBLIGATION OF PAYING THE 800.00, I wasted their time...
If Sean thought that I was going to be pursuing the next step, that was an assumption on his part. If they offer services in stages, and we decided to pursue ONLY THE FIRST STAGE, how would that be a waste of time? I just don't get it...
If this was a "Waste of time", then I would expect a full refund of my 800 dollar, waste of time, investment.
Knowing that the pursuit of my invention from start to finish, was going to be between 8 and 12 grand... I would expect a significantly higher level of service and, even more so, professionalism.
I email the CCA and called and left a voicemail for their "president"... No response from the CCA, but I did get an email from some lady in response to my email. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to understand what I was communicating. She kept speaking over top of me and eluding the point of professionalism lacking in my time with Davison. She kept repeating herself saying "we fulfilled our obligation"...
I am not speaking to their obligation.. The bottom line is, don't tell someone who paid for a service that it was a "waste of time".
My issue was not resolved. And the woman that called me back, told me that the decision to not give me a refund for this "waste of time" was coming "Straight from the president"...
Fellow Inventors, do not "waste time" by even thinking about contacting Davison. I would hate for anyone else to receive the same lack of service and professionalism that I did.
Again, I invested additional time emailing their CCA (which has been responding to just about every complaint with the same canned email), and calling the "President"...
I feel like a fool for investing a dime. Don't do the same.
need an attorney
Has anyone suggested to Davison that would like to speak to an Attorney before signing anything for your invention? I told Davison I would like for a Legal Aid person to look over the contract before signing any agreement as it states in the contract on the page after you sign that sent. He got upset and ask what I didn't understand. I told him it was there suggestion in the contract that we might want to consult an Attorney before signing. He had nothing to say and told me I am wasting his time that there are people he needs to tend to that want to make money.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Well I am Amanda Hargus and I have a complaint myself. I was contacted several times by "product manager of New inventions " and before I ever had a chance to sign a contract or come up with some money to start "creating my invention " I see a commercial with my product being promoted. It was around 8-12 weeks from the time I first presented my idea to Davidson or Inventionland (which by the way is exactly how long it takes to create MY PRODUCT! ) that I saw the first commercial. I have 2 very close friends which, lucky me, are the two most well respected, well known, lawyers in Shreveport, LA and Alexandria, LA working on this situation for me. Boy am I glad I spoke with one of them about my idea before I even entered it on Inventionlands page, and recorded our conversation. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY OR ANY IDEAS! THEY WILL STEAL FOOD OUT OF YOUR FAMILYS MOUTHS TO LINE THEIR SILK LINED POCKETS. I WILL SEE YOU IN COURT!
How did you contact Mr. Davison himself? Do you have an email id of his. I'm being a victim of them and would like to make Mr. Davison aware of this. I guess he is also a part of this and not only his staff. His email id would be helpful. Thanks!
more like a car dealership
I am writing in regards to Davison which is supposed to help the average person go from product ideas to actual inventions. Back in January of 2012, I contacted them in regards to my Gablet idea. Of course, right away they sent me videos about success stories and their Inventionland. After several phone conversations with my representative, Jonathan Boyd, I realized this company was nothing but a fancy version of a car dealership. There was nothing remarkable about their customer service or assistance that I received in the past six months. Unfortunately, this was after I gave them $795.00. By the early part of March, the process had gone no place special. They did nothing for me that I could not have done myself on the internet. It is a scam! I recommend to anyone looking to work with Davison that you look for and read as many reviews as you can. I should have! Do not buy into it!
Sincerely,
An extremely dissatisfied customer

To whomever is considering Davison as a way to get their idea out to the market place please let me advise you not to. The company of Davison sets out to real you in with with a whole lot of scheduled phone calls. In the event that you miss a call they will not return your call. The first stage is the pre development stage where you will be told that a upfront fee of as in my case 795.00 to get the ball rolling. Henceforth, comes more scheduled phone calls with a confidentiality agreement that they will send to your email. This statement will abide by the law of the state you live in . For the state of Tennessee you have to cancel your law biding contract with them within the first seven days of you and the invention developer first signed the contract agreement. My conflict came in when they sent me a predelopment package of my predevelopment satge. There was no usable information towards my product idea at all. I received a DVD of patents of previous inventions that did not include my idea. I also received a portfolio package without anything in it. However, there was a letter stating the need for more money to be poured out into the the company of Davison in order for them to move forward. I asked my Invention coordinator if I would need to give out more money. I made it clear that I would not be able to. She Tonnette Matt, assured me my $795.00 would cover the expenses. I went on with more scheduled phone calls to later receive another letter in the mail. This letter spoke about packaging my product and getting it before a company. The sad part is this is what I was told under my $795.00 in the beginning. It went on to state the costs to move forward with their company. There was a $120.00 processing fee of a patent. When you are able to get a partial patent for $100. I felt this should have been included within my $795.00 fee. They went on to present options to pay out to them anywhere from $120.00 to $8, 000 plus dollars for a 90% pay out to the inventer and a 10% pay out to Davison. This is where I drew the line. I closed my account with them today on [protected]. I was told I was not intittled to a refund under the contract that I had signed. I feel I was mis lead. I know Im definately intitled to a refund due to false advertisement. They did not uphold their end of the contract what so ever! If One, is considering Davison please be weary and aware of their luring tactics to keep you wheeled in . I would like to start a petition to sue the company of Davison including everyone here who has been scammed by them. If there is one already started please contact me at shunshynze@yahoo.com
arrogant and not professional
Even tho every complaint site, is advertising for the company I am complaining about. I am still going to post.
Davison.com/inventionland.com
Protect your invention and money and do not do business with these people.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have an invention company that does every step for you? There was one, or at least I thought.
What seemed to had started as a nice company, took a turn for the worse, when the founder, after making himself rich, leaves the company to be run by little kids that have time to build a mini-Disneyland, and not attend a business client in a serious professional manner, especially when they already know you are not rich, or at the very least make you easily assume it, once you join and work with the wrong person. In this case the CEO, can you believe that? Who knows maybe the founder lives in Florida and is dreaming to try and become the next Disney, is that all they got in creativity and knowing how to run a professional business? The place looks the size of a chucky cheese in their website video. And is the same very place where they supposedly make the products.
Its amazing how, without you expecting it, always there is someone to try and knock you off your, dreams, and progress, (which in this case the word progress seems to be foreign to them). Did nothing, while I am giving them my money, they didn’t ever look at my file.
It all started ok with this professional gentleman named Featherling, apparently he moved on, (good for him) and I found myself working with an atrocious CEO by the name of Sean Jones, Thanks to him I can safely say “Don’t trust your invention to Davison” has the audacity to tell you the lie that your file is being looked at when its not. Almost, every-time he arrange to call me, he would have no idea why he was calling me for. After confronting him about it, he behaved like a child and disrespected me numeral times, back and forth through email. So I had no choice but to let him know what a piece of garbage he is. In all my years of work I never treated someone like that. In the contrary, my professionalism brought me lots of clients.
So how are you going to trust someone like that? He behaves like a hungry sales person or broker, speaking 600 words per minute, like a disclaimer at the end of a car dealer commercial that you cant barely understand, and not answering your questions directly. That is insulting one’s intelligence. Trying to convince you to pay, at the same time never giving you a straight answers about the status of your product.
If a supposed professional in this field can’t tell you at least a ballpark idea on the marketability of a product. Say no and get out fast before they will take your life’s savings, at the same time treating you like a second priority, insulting you and putting your moral down. This way it’s you’re fault. See?
They start by telling you that they would work with you even with little money, to reel you in.
There are better and safer ways for you to grow with little money, don’t just hand it to anyone without making sure you research very deep and be careful of bogus good reviews. Demand updates in writing.
Its amazing how a handful of people can turn on you from one day to another. Because when you complaint to the company they protect each-other, I know this because when I called the lady said” who is this so and so? I said: “that is right I am so and so as you must already know” in a firm voice.
Once they saw that I wasn’t as stupid in a trance like other people with money signs in their eyes as they thought I was, they decided to panic and revoke my invention.
Oh, how can I forget the best part. After he realized he wasn’t going to be able fool me, he tells me that my contract had expired for my invention without telling me, but he was open to take my money. And said that they were going to revoke my invention. So there goes my invention and money, stolen.
Open your eyes, be aware and realize this is not the America you once knew.
Am sure if you call them they know exactly who I am, and say that I am crazy irrational person, they are not going to admit it. They didn’t expected me to be aware on their little scam. How is it that so many people commit crimes here, get away with it with their money, and get the royal treatment? And you are just a nobody crazy person making things up. One day you will have to explain yourself Mr. Sean, and someone is going to take your speedy deceitful talk and shove it back in your mouth, and perhaps do visit you in person by surprise and you are going to be running like a screaming little girl.
Land of the Greed, and Home of the slave.
I know one day I will succeed either way and leave this land of crooks that grows daily in the united states .
Sean Jones is a disrespectful child minded adult, with the title of CEO which fits him way too big, and would rip-off anyone and everyone. And will soon be away, Havin fun, in the sun with my mon.
Be careful everyone, in this economy everyone is capable of anything, and openly get away with any crime.
Wow I am totally shocked. Not because Americas crooks, as it is evident, but of Davison/inventionland. They should be ashamed, apologize and compensate me for the nerve wrecking fiasco that this speck of dirt CEO did to me.
Find the truth, do not join these demonic money hungry and disrespectful wolves.
