UIF Application
Last year in February (2021) I filed a UIF application. I had all my documentation in order. Then I was told it would take up to 3 months to see the first payment.
Three months went by and no payment was given. I then went to the offices in Vereeniging. There I was told that I had to wait till me CCMA case was over and get back to them with whatever documents they give me. My case was scheduled for 3 October 2021.
After my case was completed, I then went to the Vereeniging Department of Labor and handed in copies of the outcome. I was then told to come back after 2 weeks. I went back after 2 weeks and I was told nothing had been done. the gentleman the took more copies of my documents and told me to come back after 2 weeks again. This went on till now where I was told to come back after 2 weeks.
I need clarification on what is going on with my matter. I am a single mother and require answers, as this money will help my children and I.

An employer who is refusing to pay my uif
I, Crispen Mapungwana, Passport No. EN175307, was employed by Spartan Group and signed an 18 months contract as a Construction Manager beginning 9th of July 2018.
The employer, through Mr. Tshepo Mamabolo, phoned me on 8th of January that he has decided to terminate my services. I asked him to give me the reasons and he said the reasons will be communicated to me in the termination notice. On the 10th of January, I received the termination notice. Again the termination notice did not have the reasons for the termination save for the second paragraph which read as follows and I quote in verbatim: “Human Resources will lease with you regarding all items of contract regarding your termination of service”. However right up to the last working day I never heard anything from the employer.
At the time of writing this summary of facts on 25th March 2019, I haven’t received my salary and other benefits for the month of January 2019. The other benefits are per diem and transport costs from Lusikisiki to Johannesburg.
I followed up in early February 2019 and the employer told me via whatsapp that I should be patient with him till he get paid by his client.
Sometime in February 2019, the employer paid everyone else except me. Again he told me via whatsapp that still his client hasn’t paid him and had borrowed money which he paid others. He said I should be patient until he gets paid by his client.
The employer was eventually paid by his client sometime in March and he paid everyone else except myself. Following my follow up, he in turn asked me to assist him in his claim and other matters and I categorically told him that I was no longer his employee and all what I wanted was my January 2019 salary and other benefits together with the following documents required by the Department of Labour for me to access my UIF:
1. Completed UI-19 Form
2. Completed Department of Labour Salary Schedule
3. Certificate of Employment
4. December 2018 and January 2019 pay slips
At the time of writing this summary of facts, I have not received any of these documents and my salary and benefits for January 2019 calculated as follows:
• Salary………………………………………………………………….…. R50,000.00 (Taxable)
• Per Diem……………………………………………….……………….. R 2,000.00 (Non-Taxable)
• Transport from Lusikisiki to Johannesburg………………R 1,000.00 (Non-Taxable)
• Total…………………………………………………………………... R53,000.00
CLAIM No. 2-UNILATERAL CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
My contract with the employer which I signed as alluded to above, was for 18 months, meaning my employment should have ended in December 2019. However, the employer, through his notice of termination of employment dated 10th January 2019 unilaterally changed the terms and conditions of my contract of employment. I demand that the employer pay me for the remaining duration of my contract as follows:
Monthly Salary and allowances of R53,000.00 as calculated above, multiply by 11 months from February 2019 up to December 2019 which amounts to R583,000.00. February 2019 to December 2019 is the remaining duration of my contract following the unilateral termination of the contract on 31st January 2019.

Desired outcome: Please pay me my UIF as required by law
Non payments and defamation of character
My name is Lerato Cathrine Ngoepe, working for South African National Defence Force.
In December 2021 my contract was not renewed and I wasn't informed of the termination before hand which resulted in non payment for 15th January 2022.
My debits declined causing me unnecessary defaults.
I enquired with HR and it seems they had no idea why my contract was not renewed. This however resulted in my allowances for November not being paid.
To this date im still fighting for my allowances. They only renewed my contract after I contacted them but my allowance were not paid to this date.
This was a great inconvenience to my financial situation.
The other complaint is about a senior at work spreading harmful rumors about me without receits. She claims I hack phones. Without any proof she is tainting my name for no good reason and no action was taken against her.
My workplace is becoming more and more toxic because I have nobody to back me up. My email address is Katrien. [protected]@gmail.com, my contact number is [protected]..
Your assistance in this matter will be highly helpful.
Regards
Lerato Cathrine Ngoepe
Desired outcome: For my Management to be contacted as well as HR office.
Coida Letter of Goodstanding
I'm specifically complaining about the outsourced company called Atleram Solutions, a Mr Demana who calls with a private number because clearly his intention was to hide something.. He has no customer service skills whatsoever but works at a customer service Centre.. the audacity to even hang up on a customer when there's a complaint is appalling.
We've been trying to apply for a COIDA certificate for close to 2months with the same error blocking us from doing so (Validation Error-your attempt to register with the compensation fund failed validation, kindly forward a screenshot)
Which has been done over & over with follow up calls but no joy. Was told umpteenth times the matter is being escalated to Frans & Ingrid, but clearly someone is not doing their job and business from our side has stopped due to this.
When outsourced companies like Atleram Solutions can't resolve issues like this & hire people like Mr Demana, who are the customers supposed to speak to?
Desired outcome: Have a COIDA Certificate at least in the next 7days as time waits for no man
UIF payment not received
Good day
On the 6 January 2022 I reveived a ms to say my claim is being processed and will receive payment in the next 10 days. Up until now nothing has been paid. I logged a request on U filling but my status still shows sent to paymaster since 7th January 2022. I called on Friday the 18th of February 2022 and was told the system is offline but the lady took my details and and will send my stuff to be checked. Up until now no feedback. I call Bellville labour no awnser. This is really bad as no communication is given. I send all my papers and even got confirmation that all documents have been received for my maternity benefits. It's almost month I am back at work and still nothing. The only payment I received was for October a d December 2021. Please can some one get back to me
Desired outcome: I would like my payment to be paid out.
Uif payment
I submitted my uif application in 2020 via the online platform. In June 2021 I received a message that my application was approved and I must go sign at my nearest department of labour which is in Nigel. I went there and they asked to see my documents, after which they said I will receive my money after 14 days. It is now January 2022 and after numerous emails, phone calls, going to the labour department, I still have not received my payout and I learned that in June 2021 they had not submitted my signed document but had reapplied. I was there again today and they again gave me the run around saying they don't know what is going on because it has been approved and everything! It has been 17 months since I was retrenched and applied for UIF...WHAT MUST I DO! I AM STRUGGLING! PLEASE HELP ME!
Desired outcome: For my payout to happen
I was retrenched in December 2020 and submitted my UIF claim on 13 January 2021. I was unemployed for 2 months (January and February 2021). I supplied all the relevant documentation and received no response. I managed to find employment on 1 March 2021 and have been in constant contact with UIF requesting my UIF payment for the months of January and February 2021. UIF keeps telling me that I cannot be paid as I am currently working. Do they not understand the procedure. Why do we pay UIF. It is now over a year and still no payment. Shocking service.
Unfair contract of employment items
Employee works 6 day week, 51 hours per day, 1 year and 1 month - employment contract was only provided to employee in 13th month. Employment contract states it is a Fixed Term contract and NO leave will be generated. Any annual leave will be unpaid leave. Also states that overtime can be required due to operational requirements but overtime is not payable (employee under the overtime threshold) Employee questioned these items on contract and was told to reign if not happy. Company is small business with about 5 employees
Desired outcome: Investigation and Intervention of unfair labour practice

Still waiting on Uif claim to be paid
My name is David Marinus. My contract ended May 2021 and I applied for my normal uif claim online via Ufiling in June 2021. In August 2021 my application was parked due to outstanding document which we emailed the same day. I called in early September and was told the documents was received but they are in a back log. I called in again two weeks ago and was told the documents was received and i will receive an SMS within 5 days which I'm still waiting for. I called in again last week and was told i must resubmit my application. Why must i resubmit my application and wait another 5 months before they pay my money? I don't have money to visit the branch and was told it is safer and faster if you do your application via the Ufiling portal. I want answers please.
Desired outcome: Feedback
Services are extremely slow
My complaint is the slow service given to customers at the department of Labour in Seshego Polokwane. I have been going to the department for the fourth day now, still unable to be assisted. The offices open at 7h30 but they stay working and letting us clients in at 9h30. They take over 20-30 minutes to assist one person. We cue from 6am and other people even sleep at the entrance so they can be assisted the next day. I have been here 6am each day for the past 4 days and have still not been able to make it inside by 4pm. The cues have about 100 people, yet they don't even service half of them. The other clients skip the line and are allowed to enter even when they came late because they Cleary know someone inside. The service is seriously appalling and it's painful to see a pregnant woman sitting for over 8 hours waiting on the ground for assistance that never comes. The cues are outside the gates and therefore (as much as its due to Covid) we are unable to see the employees inside and this just enables them to slack off and do the bare minimum.
Desired outcome: Employees should do work and service people, quickly and efficiently. Hiring of more staff to assist if the workload is impossible to handle. Shaded waiting areas for customers. Designated waiting area for pregnant woman, aged.
Service
My name is Nastasja fisher. I submitted the application forms in November 2020, and to date September 2021, still haven't gotten any feedback or help. I have to borrow money every month to travel to town to find out what is happening and when I will finally receive a payout. A month ago a lady named Natasha at the Cape Town branch told me my name is on the list at head office I should just wait, she gave me a number to contact her. When I called she took all my details and said she would call me back asap. It's been 11 days I'm still waiting on her call. Everyday I call back several times but they never answer. When I finally got ahold of her she was rude and put the phone down in my face (hung up). The staff is rude and has an attitude. I am hopeless as to what I can do and if I'll ever get any help nevermind payment. I would really appreciate it if someone, anyone could please get back to me.
Desired outcome: Payment and rude staff dealt with accordingly
Registration of staff
I need to know if I am a registered worker I don't get paid any overtime at all on Sundays and Public holidays and if I am sick don't get paid even if I take a doctor's note

Unsafe working conditions
On Friday the 27/08/2021 the gardener for our Sectional Title complex was requested to cut overgrown bush by the Trustees. It was a very windy day. Justice had no safety gear or harness. He didn't have protective glasses, working boots or gloves. He worked alone with just a ladder. He has done so on several occasions alone trying to reach branches of high trees. There are two employees. The other employee is employed as a domestic worker. She has been given working gloves, working boots and workwear.
Desired outcome: These allegation by investigated and the appropriate action taken

My name is Medalinah Ncube [protected]. I got retrenched may 31 2020 and I applied for my normal uif claim online in June 2020 tilll today im being told there is a back log I must wait.
If there is a back log why are 2021 people being processed and not me. I have sent servel emails and resent my documents many times. They have comfirmed claim was processed its with the assessor but till now 13months later I must wait and be patiant.

No payment and no feedback nor communication from department of labour UIF claims department
Applied for UIF last year October 2020. Submitted and followed up re claim numerous times, and every time the official say they will get back to me to advise re the claim approval, but never do. I was assured that all the documentation I submitted was correct and complete. But have not received any reply to date to indicate whether the application was approved? Resubmitted all the documentation in January and again I was told that they will notify me within 10 working days. No reply received. I logged a case enquiry at the contact center 1st June 21. And was told I will receive feedback within 10 working days. Today is the 22nd, and I still have not received any feedback? No feedback and no payment from UIF for 8 months now. I am at complete loss, as I just don't know what to do anymore?
Desired outcome: To please receive my UIF claim that I applied for.
