Department of labour change our nature of business
We fill in and do all the necessary form to get our Letter of Good Standing from the Department of Labour. All the years from 2019 untill 2023 ROE was paid but when we received the Letter of Good Standing our Nature of Bussiness was suddenly change from Transportation of goods, waste and card boxes to Tourist, Travel Agent, Broker, Vehicle Hire. This letter of Good Standing is no use for us because we are a transport bussiness as from 1996. Why did they change our nature of bussiness without our concent? Now they want us to fill in forms to change of nature of business (CF-1B) We did not change our bussiness they did. Why must we change something that was the same for the last 30+ years because of the error of Department of Labour?
Desired outcome: The urgent correct Letter of Good Standing with the nature of our bussiness:Transportation of goods, waste and card boxes

UIF Maternity
I logged a claim in May via Ufilling and I sent all the required documents via email but I did jot receive any feedback, in stead my claim was cancelled. I resent the documents now in July, it's been 2 weeks now and my Ufilling claim was cancelled again with no feedback whereas the documents we're sent and a response was received that the required documents we're received and that I should give them time to review them. I am failing to understand why do we have to beg for our money bcz we're paying UIF monthly so it's our money!
Uif maternity application
My son was born in February this year and I've been struggling to claim my money for months, I went to the centre in jhb cbd and the employees were so rude I was told to return 6 times and on my last attempt they turned me away shouting at me rudely,
This is not the way it's supposed to be as we claiming the money we've been paying for years,
I then tried going to the labour centre in Roodepoort for assistance and there I was able to submit all my documentation successfully and was advised that I would receive payment by the first Wednesday in May, it is now 3 weeks later and I have still not received even one payment,
I tried emailing, calling the call centre, no one is assisting me,
Who do I turn to for assistance?
Why is it so difficult to claim maternity, I have a little baby why should this be so difficult
Desired outcome: For my application to be paid
Bad, ride racist clerks at phoenix labor office
I had my uif form filled by my doctor on mon 22 may and proceeded to the uif office in Phoenix. The clerk helping says that the system shows I am getting a salary in Jan n Feb of R2000 and R300 do I don't qualify for uiif. I told him that I have not been back to work since Jan and it was not a salary. He tells me to get a letter from my HR stating what the payment was. I get the letter and go back Tues the 23 may only to be told that the info on the letter is not good enough. I was supposed to have each amount, the month and the reason. The reason in the letter stated that it was payed rebate not a salary.
So I ask the clerk why didn't he inform of his requirements on mon so I could get the correct info. He says he told me. Which is a lie. I ask why must they make us go up and down. He says I'm not understanding him. I ask for a supervisor. He says he will get some one to speak to me. 1.5 hours later I ask him who I am waiting for. His reply is I saw you taking the no for the regional office. There is no supervisor here do what you want. He made me sit there while the 2 guards as well as the rest of them spoke in Zulu and had a good laugh at my expense.
Desired outcome: An investigation into the clerks who are rude, unprofessional and racist. Who don't do their jobs and because they don't answer to anyone they can treat the public how they wish. A written apology from the clerk involved

Maternity UIF payout
I have submitted all my documents for my UIF maternity claim when my son was born 25 Feb 2022. My son is turning 15 months. I am following up with my ticket reference bi weekly - with no feedback from the UIF department. The only feedback I get is generic e.g. give us time to review your case etc.
I feel this is money deducted from me every month for the past 16 years and ongoing . It should not be this hard to claim.
Desired outcome: UIF claim to pay asap
Poor service delivery
My name is Pauline Bokaba, Director of Green Device Recycling Company, I registered U-filling in February 2023 and my profile hasn't been unblocked, and I've been calling no one is willing to help they always telling me they escalating the matter, but none of of the supervisor or manager is available to sort out this matter, and now one of my former employees cant claim her money due to matter of unlocking the profile to access her funds. my case reference is C-[protected]-000311.
Desired outcome: To be resolved and try to speed up the people's cases sooner and communicate with us instead of being quiet.
Volksrust branch
People gathering on the side of the building, NO security or system in place, people push in and no respect. No cummunication from inside to patrons on the outside therefor No system, people coming from the back and pushing in, unfair
Only 2 people running the office and having to attend to more than 150 patrons
This issue has been ongoingsince March till today 4 April 2023. We understand that loadshedding also adds to the problem. Priorities and let complaints be one side and signatures for maternity benefits be dealt seperatly. There is no place for mother and babies tobreast fead nor a changing station as this adds to health issues and risks
No dustbin in place, litter all over the place.
Desired outcome: Have security In place more people working on the insideNo facilities for mother and baby to attend to breastfeeding or changing diapers.
complained against the UIF for claim not paid out
Since 29 July 2022 till today 07 March 2023 I still waiting for UIF for a paid out on my retrenchment. They have every week lots of the same stories. Like we did send you information to the wright department. They send the application for capturing. Week after week. The did received all the paper work, they admit.
For how long must I wait for money I work for? Some times they will pop a e-mail after your phone call, and just say they working on the case please give us time ( how long do they still need to work on this case, there is so many workers) I don't understand that the work can't be done in time.
Please assist me in this case it will highly appreciated.
And some times a email op up and ask please rate our services. and a section that you can give your problem...oooo forget this it's if they only use the good
comments.
Wages, hours and unfair treatment
We as a liquor retailer have been work 11 to 12 hours a day, we're underpaid and mistreated. We work on weekends and public holidays as tho it is a normal working day. We get a day off if we worked on a Sunday, but a nothing for a public holiday besides closing @5pm.
Our toilet and lunch breaks combined has got to be no longer than 45 minutes for the entire working day. Our annual leave has also been cut down to 2 weeks only.
We are mistreated, we are over worked and underpaid
Desired outcome: I would appreciate the labour officers giving us a visit helping us out with the unfair practices at our place of employment

UIF Maternity Leave not paid 14 months after initiated
I NEED URGENT ASSISTANCE ON MY PAYMENT PLEASE.
I feel like I am following up and no one is doing anything to assist me. It’s been over a YEAR and all I hear is, the case will be escalated.
I am in desperate need of these funds. Everything has increased, interest rate, petrol, groceries and I need these funds to assist me financially.
I am asking you to PLEASE process payment and assist me by making sure I am paid what is due to me.
Your urgent attention and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Please get in touch with me via email - saadiqa.[protected]@gmail.com.
Desired outcome: Please process my payment as soon as possible. I need these funds URGENTLY
No comms & assistance with my documents submission.
It’s been over a month that I have been waiting for my funds to get through. I called, emailed, even went to the labor office, however they were offline, then it was loadshedding and they said they don't have a generator. This is my last resort and I hope that something will be done cause this money is my means to live for me and alot of other people. It's unfair that we adhere to their process and they are not bothered to even communicate should there be any issues from their side. Emails and calls aren't answered. This is frustrating and unfair to the public as a whole. No responses even to my emails sent to complain about this.
Desired outcome: Paid out my Dec. payment as that money is means of survival. Better communication with the public.
UIF Claim
Good afternoon, after attempting to register my claim online (which now have been sent to assessor) for three weeks exactly. After several emails to the webmaster with no reply back, I decided to pay the Labour Office in Alberton a visit, on my first visit I was informed that there are more documents required which I then obtained. I then returned on Friday 25 November with the correct documents and joined the que. At around 12:00 there was loadshedding and we were told to come back in two hours.
I decided to come back on the next working day as I had a Job Interview at 14:00, so on Monday 26 November I went back and joined the que again. Since then, I have had no assistance at all as every day for this last week at around 12:00 the system suddenly goes offline. and does not come back online until 16:00, which sounds very odd. All I need is for the Dept to ensure that my claim is registered.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate it a great deal if my claim can be registered once and for all.
Claim delay.
Gooday
I'm the above mentioned individual who has applied for his normal unemployment UIF as I was dismissed at work last year (2021). My application has more than 6 months now and that is because I'd be notified that I have insufficient documents when I enquired about the feedback delay...
I submitted all my documents, the last document was sent on the 2nd August, I always call after sending an email to confirm if the document is received... to my surprise I haven't received any feedback on my application, I was told more than twice that the status of my application is "PARK something" and that will be escalated to the processing department until today...
Pity I don't have any communication with the CAPTURING/PROCESSING DEPARTMENT because it seems like they are the ones dragging their feet when coming to this application... or maybe somebody somewhere is not doing his/her job...
With all due respect, May I get assistance on my application... no payout was paid to me from the I applied.
Thank you

There is a problem with an awkward shift where one is required to complete their shift at midnight 23h00 / 24h00 and resume work at 08h00 / 09h00am the next morning, this is after working a 10-hour shift which starts at 13h00 / 14h00 and ends at 23h00 / 24h00.
There are times where one works a 7+ day stretch because of the roster change.
Is this even legal?
According to the manager there is no way around this.
Campaign: Music Magpie
Desired outcome: For the Department of Labour to investigate if this shift change meets the required shift change standards as per South African Labour Laws. For the company to abide by labour laws and set shifts accordingly.
Permanent employment
In the department I work in, there's only 1 person permanent out of 13 Temps
(we are 14 in the team or department). We have been Temps for almost 2 years now and they only keep renewing contracts instead of converting us. Now recently there are two posts out in our department the two are permanent post. The job is there by DHL Express won't convert us. Salaries are confidential but we already know we earn less than permanent staff.
Desired outcome: Permanent employment
