grandkids
My grandkids were take. And two were adopted out. I was fighting for the other two and they refused to ever let me know when hearings were and the lawyers we paid did nothing but take my money. There is no reason my grand boys couldn't have come to me. I'm still in my young 50's plenty of time. Now they refuse to take any cards or gifts to the boys and I'm sure they think I've forgotten them. Heart wrenching
Medcadi
The medicadi aid office in east STL Illinois acts different towards white people.less aid & getting the run around when we ask simple questions.i have asked over & over again when my medicadi application is due & been told it is due in a few weeks & then told by same black lady says u are good until December 2017.I asked which is it & she gave me a attitude & then refused to send me a application In the mail.i told her I guess when I get a ride I will go to the aid office.she then told me I am wasting my time going down there.ever since the Belleville office closed I have had problems with the aid office in east STL.They always have a attitude towards me & other white people who need help.they are even rude to social workers from the epilepsy foundation that take me & other clients down to the aid office to get help
Medicade, health, financial and snap benefits
I am on permanent disability due to type 1 diabetes, strokes (12 "mini" strokes, 3 major strokes and 3 diabetic comas), minor brain damage due to blood sugar in excess of 1400 (April 2014), gall bladder removal, acid reflux, arthritis, severe back pain, ostioperosis, 4 fractures (January, 2014), pinched nerve in my neck, cataracts, pancreititus, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and low iron. I have been hospitalized 26 times in the past 3 1/2 years. I also lost my left arm in an accident with a saw in 2011. I was active in the work force for over 40 years, and paid into social security all that time. I have medicare, which downgraded my coverage last year causing me to loose all of my doctors, none of which accept HMO. I am currently in need of an insulin pump, a prostetic arm and an MRI for my back. I have applied for medicade for medical, financial and snap, and had an in-office interview with DHS. Medicade denied my claim saying information was missing from my claim. My home is now in foreclosure and I am within weeks of becoming homeless. Why was I denied? At this point, I feel as if I am being denied life. Without a home or needed benefits, AND without all the drama, I lave little if any chance of living another 6 months. I can and am willing to provide documentation to substantiate all above information. Also, my son is now and has been an active member of the US NAVY for 13 years. What is he serving to protect? I am very frustrated by this situation. I have contacted supervisors at my local DHS office regarding this several times. The response from the supervisers is "that sounds like a problem for an intake worker", and then my call is promptly transferred to a voice mail which is full, and my call is then disconnected. I have called the toll free appeals phone number 3 times. All 3 times my call was disconnected. I have left voice messages at my local DHS office 6 times and none of my calls has been returned. Does my government wish for me to curl up and die? That is the feeling I have at this time, and it looks like that is my fate. Does anyone care? If so, I expect to be contacted back in a reasonable amount of time. I also intend to send copies of this complaint to my local newspapers, TV stations and the President. I would prefer the benefits and consideration which I worked and paid for, for over 40 years. Mismanagement
I was staying at this shelter for an extremely long 6 months and getting nowhere super - fast.Come to find out my case worker (Robert izzo) got fired for not proccessing clients paperwork in a timely fashion. To my misfortune i was one of his clients. My case was given to sue antoine (Not sure if last name spelling is correct) whom, in order to not get...
