They did my terrazzo floor and it looks terrible
They did my terrazzo floor and it looks terrible. The stains didn't come out and the owner won't even come to my house to check it out and fix it. I was out of town and sent my assistant to pay and sign off on the job, but he didn't know what it should look like. Now they won't fix it or give me my money back. Bad customer service and a bad company to work with.
I called Dr
I called Dr. Terrazzo to ask about polished concrete. I talked to the boss, Chris H, and he said they do it. On 4/15, workers came and checked the floor and gave me a quote for $4,743.00. We agreed on the price for grinding, sealing, and polishing. The workers were in my house from 4/15 to 4/19. Dr. Terrazzo charged my credit card without permission. At the end of the job, it was clear that the work done WAS NOT POLISHED CONCRETE like the Polished Concrete Association or other good Polished Concrete contractors say. Also, the crew messed up new drywall and broke two bathroom vanities, countertops, and plumbing fixtures. I had to hire another company to redo the floors in my house like the Concrete Polishing Association says.
We have no one in our database with this name. If, we in fact, did work for you, and you're not happy, we will gladly do anything we can to fix things! Also, if we damaged anything, as requested in other forums, please send us photos and actual receipts, we will be glad to stand behind any work we performed...we received no written notice from anyone with the last name "Romaguera" whatsoever. We remain here to fix or do anything that we did wrong, this osunds like a competitor review, of which we have many. We perform 5-10 jobs per week, and have been in business over 20 years. that is a minimum of over 5000 jobs in that time period. Two supposed bad reviews in that time period out of 5000 isn't bad...
I paid $3700 to Dr
I paid $3700 to Dr. Terrazzo to fix my floors. They did the work on May 9 and 10, 2022. Dr. Terrazzo's team didn't protect my stuff, so my cabinets, baseboards, doors, and appliances were damaged. They gave me $100 off for the damage. The floors weren't fixed like they said they would be. They missed a whole section of the dining room, and when I asked about it, the lead guy was mean to me. They left marks all over the house with their sander. The repairs they did do were bad and didn't match the color. They didn't go around the edges of the rooms like they said they would. They said we didn't need to remove the baseboards, but they got ruined anyway. My doors got water damage too. They messed up my house, and now I have to hire someone else to fix it. They only polished the floors for 5 minutes with a mop and a bucket. When we didn't want to pay because of the bad work, they made us pay anyway. I have pictures to prove it.
We never received any receipts to your complaint. Had you provided them, we would have been glad to pay for any damages, as well as return and fix anything you weren't happy with. We never recieved any notification that is required that anything was wrong. When someone just files a review, without seeking any solution, it lends to the fact they didn't want a solution. Again, if oyu weren't happy, let us know and we will fix anything that isn't right, period.

I paid Doctor Terrazzo $3900 to fix my terrazzo floor on August 27 & 28, 2021
I paid Doctor Terrazzo $3900 to fix my terrazzo floor on August 27 & 28, 2021. They were supposed to diamond grind, hone, & sand it to a mirror finish, polish it, and add a protective sealant. They were also supposed to repair the carpet tack holes with marble chips that matched the originals. However, they did not follow these steps and the results were terrible. The entire floor has circular scratches, the tack holes are dull, missing material, and rough. They did not grind, hone, or sand the floor to a mirror finish. They did not even clean it before applying three coats of solution to make it shiny. The solution has concrete pieces glued in it, which feels like sandpaper. The owner refused to come back and see the damage and threatened me on the phone on September 1. He said it was illegal to dispute the credit card and that he would lean my home, take me to court, and make me pay his lawyer. I am retiring after having a heart attack and do not need this man's threats. My home is in boxes and I am waiting for Capitol 1 to award me both disputes. Now I understand he can still lean my home anyway. He attempted to send a repairman without an appointment, and the floor was covered with cardboard for kitchen carpenters. He never called to ask. He did not do the job. I had to finish installing the new kitchen cabinets, so the terrazzo restoration has to be done the dry method, which is more work and costs $5500 from Safe Dry Restoration. The ComplaintsBoard.com should not give A+ ratings to companies like Doctor Terrazzo with terrible work performance and unprofessional owners who threaten elderly clients to take money they did not earn. It has been almost two months, and he is not welcome to return to my home. Worst business.
Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/27) */ The customer notified us she was not happy with her job. THE NEXT MORNING we had a crew, with a supervisor to rectify any of her issues. She turned them away when they were 20 minutes out, and said they could not come to fix them. I offered, more than once to fix any issue she had whatsoever. When she continues to dodge us coming back, and stopped payment with following proper guidelines, we are contractually protected, and can file a lien on the property-she agreed to that with her signature...we have the ability to dry polish as well, and it wouldn't cost anywhere near $5500. Time after time we have offered to fix any of her issues, and we have been strung along. Florida state law is very specific as to disputing work and charges, and none of the statutes were followed whatsoever...again we offered multiple times to fix her issues, she declined. We perform hundreds of terrazzo repair and restoration jobs annually, I would rely on our record with the BBB to speak for itself regarding her comments about our company-In the interest of business, if the homeowner agrees that resolution was reached with no former complaint, we will walk away. While we are within our rights to lien and sue per contract, and the fact that we returned to rectify any issues, AND the fact that we also dry diamond grind and polish when requested, we will agree to leave things as they are so as to make things easier on the customer. We are sorry this didn't turn out the way either of us wanted, but will absorb the expenses already incurred by our company to this point. Us agreeing to this should conclude this matter, we request the homeowner agree that we reached an amicable agreement, as this fulfills her request for resolution. Thank you. UPDATE: although we offered compromise not to lien and file suit, the customer still vehemently attacks us after we have bent over backwards for her-

Due to the nature of terrazzo, stains don't always come out, you were made aware of this before we started, and you had your husband tell us to continue with the work anyway. You told our lead technician, "do what he wants". He instructed us to continue. Your "assistant" was actually your attorney, of which you tried to use to coerce us. We have your signature acknowledging our stain policy, our crew did everything they could to make your floor look as good as they could, and communicated several times the progress. YOU asked us to continue even after such. If htere was an actual "fix", we would have certainly done it. Again, you were mad aware through the entire proceed, yet you said to continue, even after you were made aware of staining. We did everything we could do to try and make you happy. I see you used a false name which lends to the fact you are just trying to hurt our business rather than being reasonable. Poor business behavior on your part-
