ebookers Ebookers Review: Poor Customer Service and Misleading Website

I recently used ebookers to book my airline tickets, but unfortunately, I encountered some issues that were never resolved. I accidentally booked a flight for the wrong time and immediately reached out to ebookers to see if I could switch it to the next available flight on the same day. However, despite the airline having a 24-hour refund policy, ebookers was not willing to help me out. Their customer service team seemed incompetent and only provided responses that were convenient for them. I even spoke with different managers, but they all gave me different scenarios and were not helpful in resolving my issue.

To make matters worse, ebookers does not have a clear complaint department or procedure, and their website is misleading. They also do not follow the distance selling regulations, which has made it difficult for me to find out who their regulatory body is. I would strongly advise readers to avoid ebookers at all costs. It's better to book your flights directly through the airline, even if it costs a bit more, to avoid the unpleasant situation that I found myself in.

ebookers Ebookers' Price Matching Policy Falls Short: A Disappointing Experience

My recent experience with Ebookers was not up to par when it comes to their price matching policy. Compared to their competitors, Ebookers falls short in terms of flexibility and customer service.

One major issue I encountered was the strict time frame for claiming a lower price offer. With Ebookers, you only have 2 hours after making the booking to identify a lower price and claim a refund. This is a very short window of time, especially considering that prices can fluctuate rapidly. In contrast, a well-known competitor allows you to claim a refund within 48 hours if you find a lower rate on their own site or another party's site.

Unfortunately, I found myself in a situation where I could have saved ?176 if I had booked with the competitor instead of Ebookers. Despite contacting Ebookers customer service, I was met with inflexibility and a lack of sensitivity. The call centre representatives were unable to assist me satisfactorily, and a promised phone call from a supervisor was not returned.

To make matters worse, I found the quality of service from Ebookers' Indian call centres to be substandard compared to what I would expect in the UK. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Ebookers and would recommend looking elsewhere for a more flexible and customer-friendly booking experience.

ebookers Avoid ebookers.com at all costs - Terrible customer service and cancelled flights

I had a terrible experience with ebookers.com and I strongly advise against booking with them. I have used many other travel companies in the past, but this one was by far the worst.

I made a last-minute booking for a flight and hotel package, but ebookers took the money from my account and then cancelled my flights. When I called to find out what had gone wrong, they told me there was a card processing error. I assumed my money would be refunded shortly, but that was not the case.

I spent over two hours on the phone with ebookers' terrible customer service and my bank trying to resolve the issue. My bank told me that my money would be refunded in 10 days, but ebookers said they would not claim the money yet they had already taken it.

This booking was for me and my friends, and now everyone's holiday is ruined because of this company. My friends are so annoyed with me and they told me I should have booked directly with the airline. They were right, and I regret not doing so.

If this review can stop even one person from using ebookers, I will be over the moon. Their service is terrible and I will never use them again. Even if flights to the moon were only £1, I would not use ebookers and I will tell everyone how bad their service is.

ebookers Ebookers Review: Terrible Customer Service and Website Glitches Result in Wrong Dates and No Refund

I had a really bad experience with ebookers. I wish I could give them zero stars! I had a problem with their website. Every time I clicked on a ticket or price, the page loaded and said that the price was no longer available and showed a more expensive price. It was frustrating, but I finally managed to book a ticket. However, when I received the confirmation, I realized that it was for the wrong dates! I called customer service immediately to sort out the problem, but I talked to four different people, and none of them could help me. I spoke to people in France and in what sounded like a call center in India, but still, no one could help me. There was no procedure for this kind of situation, and I couldn't even change the flight and pay a fee. They refused to change the dates and suggested that I cancel the ticket with no refund and then buy a second ticket at full price. It was crazy! I spent a month's salary on this ticket, and instead of arriving on the 20th of December to spend Christmas with my family, I ended up with a ticket for the 27th. It was a horrible experience, and I will tell everyone I know to never buy from this company. They were really unprofessional, and it was a horrible experience. I still can't believe this is happening.

ebookers Disappointing Experience with E-bookers Car Hire: False Quotes and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with E-bookers car hire service and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant one. I called to get a quote for a Honda and spoke to a guy named Garrish. He gave me a price of 155 pounds which I found reasonable. However, I wanted to confirm the price before making a booking, so I asked for his name and said I would call back.

When I called back, I got Darren on the line who informed me that the price of the car had gone up to over 300 pounds. I was shocked and told him that this was not what I was quoted earlier. To my surprise, he said that the price had gone up again while we were talking. I asked him to get Garrish on the phone, but he told me that Garrish was off. He said that my complaint would be forwarded to customer services and that I would get a response in 48 hours.

After waiting for two days, I received a call from a lady named Laxmi Viji. She told me that there was no record of me calling the first time. I was frustrated and asked her to get hold of Garrish. However, she told me that there were seven Garrishes there and she couldn't identify which one I had spoken to. I then asked to speak to the manager, but she told me that she was the last point of contact and that I needed to send an email with my complaint and telephone log.

Overall, I was very disappointed with the service I received from E-bookers car hire. It seemed like I was dialing an English number and ending up in India talking to people who were not interested in standing by their original quote. It felt like I was just a pound sign for them and they didn't care about what I was saying. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

ebookers Ebookers: A Frustrating Experience with Wrong Flight Booked and Poor Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about my experience with ebookers. I was trying to book a couple of flights that would take me about 8 hours, but somehow ended up with a flight that's gonna take me a whopping 24 hours! What the heck, man? The website was taking forever to load, and before I knew it, it had processed a booking for the wrong flight. I'm pretty sure it just defaulted to the first flight on the list, which is not what I wanted at all. Needless to say, I am NOT happy about this.

To make matters worse, ebookers then sent me an email saying that payment was being processed for the wrong flight, and reminding me to confirm my correct flight. But when I went back to the website, all I got was a loading screen with no flight details. So frustrating! I tried calling the contact number right away, but the only phone I had access to was the hotel phone, and ebookers started charging me for the call. After going through a bunch of options and racking up a hefty bill, I had to hang up because I couldn't afford it anymore.

Now I've got three emails from ebookers confirming the wrong flight and offering me a chance to confirm the right one, but with a price difference of 20 pounds. I don't know about you, but that seems like a pretty big difference to me. I don't think I've ever used this booking website before, and after this experience, I definitely won't be using it again. It's pretty rare for me to get this angry and write a complaint, but I just had to vent my frustration somewhere.

ebookers Ebookers Review: Terrible Experience with a Travel Scam

My experience with ebookers was absolutely terrible. I made the mistake of booking my travel through them and it turned out to be a complete scam. Let me tell you why.

Firstly, there is no phone number that is easily accessible. They only have an international phone number based in the UK, which is not helpful for those of us with limited calling plans. It's impossible to get in touch with them if you need to.

Secondly, there is no email address provided. This should have been a red flag for me. A travel agency without an email address is not trustworthy. They do have a chat feature, but it's useless for making changes to your itinerary. They'll just tell you to call them.

Thirdly, the phone number they give you is based in the UK, but you'll actually be speaking to people in India. It's misleading to think that ebookers is an English company when they're not.

Fourthly, the customer service is terrible. The representatives are rude and uneducated. They'll even hang up on you if you try to make changes to your flight.

Fifthly, any changes to your itinerary will cost you almost as much as the entire ticket. It's ridiculous.

Lastly, the payment options are not flexible at all. If you want to pay with a credit card, they'll charge you a service fee. Only debit cards are free of that fee, which is another sign that they're a scam.

I really regret booking my travel through ebookers. If I had done my research properly, I would have avoided them completely. I strongly advise you to stay away from ebookers. They're a complete scam.

ebookers Disappointing Experience with ebookers: Incorrect Room Booked and Poor Customer Service in Prague Hotel

I recently had an experience with ebookers that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had called to book a Double room at Hotel Kings Court U Obecnigi Domu 3 in Prague, Czech Republic for a five-night stay from August 5th to August 10th, 2019. I specifically requested a room with a shower cubicle or walk-in shower, as I have difficulty using a bathtub.

Unfortunately, the advisor I spoke with did not seem to understand my request and booked a room with a disabled toilet instead. When I received the confirmation email, I immediately called ebookers to explain the mistake and ask for the correct room to be booked. The lady I spoke with assured me that the issue would be resolved and sent me an email confirming that the room would have a shower cubicle or walk-in shower.

However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there was no information or email about the room with a normal shower cubicle or walk-in shower. The room I was given was intended for disabled people, with a toilet seat that was too high for me to use comfortably and a wash basin that was too low, causing me to strain my back every time I used it. When I asked to be moved to a different room, I was told that the manager was unavailable for the next five days.

Despite my frustration, I decided to make the best of the situation and stay in the room I was given for the night. However, the next morning I tried again to change rooms and was still unsuccessful. I was told that the manager was not available and that I would have to stay in the same room for the duration of my stay.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with ebookers. While I understand that the people I spoke with on the phone may not have English as their first language, I feel that they should have been better trained to understand and communicate with customers. I will not be booking with ebookers again in the future and would not recommend them to others.

ebookers Ebookers: A Frustrating Experience with Booking and Refunds

So, I was trying to book a flight and hotel package online yesterday. I picked my choice and went to the checkout. I put in all my payment details and then it just crashed. It sent me back to the choice screen and showed a message that said "couldn't complete this transaction at present but try later" or something like that. I was pretty annoyed, but I decided to look on another website and found something better for less, so I went for that instead.

Later, I checked my bank account and saw that ebookers had taken my money. I checked my email, but there was nothing there. I called them up and explained what had happened. They apologized and told me that there was no problem and that it would resolve itself after a few days and the money would be refunded. They also told me how much would be refunded, which was only half the amount. When I asked why so little, they said to wait a minute and then left me hanging for 10 minutes before getting disconnected.

I called again and had to repeat everything again. This time, they told me that the amount they would refund in 5 to 10 days was just the hotel cost, not the airfare. For that, I would need to contact the airline directly. So, I did that and waited for 20 minutes on a premium number. Finally, I was told that they would not refund me because I did not purchase the alternative flight from them.

Honestly, I'm pretty frustrated with ebookers right now. I don't really want to call them again and go through all of that, but I guess if I want my money back, I'll have to. It's just really disappointing that a company like this can exist and there's no one I can complain to and make them accountable.

ebookers Ebookers.com: Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service

I recently booked a trip to Lanzarote for four of my friends through ebookers.com, and I have to say, I was not impressed with their service. At first, they quoted me a price of ?218.78 per person, which seemed reasonable enough. However, when I went to purchase the tickets, I discovered that there was an additional charge of ?10.00 per ticket that had not been disclosed earlier in the process.

Now, I understand that they did mention that there "may" be a fee of up to ?10.00 per ticket, but that was hardly definitive. It wasn't until I had already paid for the tickets that I discovered the full extent of the charges. Even then, the ?10.00 charge was hidden away in another section of the website, and it was not at all clear that I would be paying an extra ?40.00 in total.

When I tried to complain about this, I was transferred to call centers in India and the Philippines, and I was not given the contact information for the London office. To make matters worse, I later discovered that there were additional luggage charges that had not been disclosed by ebookers or the airline.

Overall, I feel like ebookers is deliberately hiding these extra charges in order to trick people into using their service. It's a shady practice, and it borders on deception. If they were more upfront about the costs, I might have been willing to pay the extra fees. But as it stands, I feel like I was taken advantage of, and I would not recommend ebookers to anyone.
