El Cid Vacations Club review: False information regarding transfer of timeshare

We are contacting you in reference to contract 9005362, for Johnny Thomas and Phyllis Yvette Blair.

During our meeting on October 5, 2023, with Vikrant Bhalla and Marco we discussed the transfers of the Wyndham Timeshare that was in the names of Johnny Thomas and his ex-wife Alena Thomas.

Vikrant Bhalla and Marco informed us several times that Johnny could be removed from the Wyndham contract even if his ex-wife refused to sign the transfer of the property. We were told that the Wyndham property would revert to solely being her responsibility.

We have been communicating with the company Timeshare Equity Services who is responsiblie for faciliting the transfer of the Wyndham property. We were informed by Vikrant Bhalla and Name that the transfer would not be an issue even with Johnny’s ex-wife being uncooperative. We explained to Vikrant Bhalla and Marco how difficult this person was in previous situations.

During our conversation with Timeshare Equity Services on December 5, 2023, they informed us that Johnny could not be removed from the Wyndham contract if his ex-wife refuses to sign.

This is contrary to the guidance we received from Vikrant Bhalla and Marco. This cancellation request is based on inaccurate information provided to us by Vikrant Bhalla and Marco. Based on the information we received, we moved forward with entering a contract with El Cid Vacations Club. At this point we see the guidance provided was a misrepresentation of the process to transfer the Wyndham property.

For this reason, we ask for cancellation of this contract and a refund of the $17, 422 deposit.
