I ordered a sofa for home from the El Dorado in Pembroke Pines with plans for it to be delivered to my house prior to our 23rd wedding anniversary party. The purchase was made on Sunday 11/26 and the delivery was scheduled for Thu 11/30. To schedule the delivery my husband had to give away his work day which meant a loss of $500 on his pay check. The order was for a 3-seat reclining sofa. When the delivery people came and opened the boxes they found they had to right arm sides. The delivery guys called the warehouse with my husband and they said there was no other part and we would have to keep the incomplete sofa and wait for delivery of the missing part in Jan. The seller said to wait until the end of the day to see if the other part was in one of the trucks. It was not. Next day we are offered the opportunity of another delivery date for Tues 12/5. It meant another $500 loss for us so adding the sofa would end up being more expensive to use. We asked to speak to a manager to try to at least get a credit for our delivery fee or something. He did not talk to us and told the seller that there would not be a warranty for delivery, the only option for us was to cancel which means having a celebration at hoe with no sofa and $500 less in our pocket. Unfortunately these big companies can't care less about their clients.
Claimed loss: money-$500
Desired outcome: warranty for services offered Reliability and care for costumers.
