Few months back, I was so mad at Elgin furniture store service. Elgin delivery guys brought a broken glass dresser to my crib, the same one I saw in their store. The delivery dudes took the dresser back to the store on the same day. I called Elgin furniture and told the boss what can be done to swap the dresser. The boss said they would get in touch with the company but nothing ever happened. The boss said, "I'll give you off 300 bucks," then he said, "Ok, I'll give you off 600 bucks off your bill." The dresser was worth 1000 bucks, which one of his sales reps said. I told the store boss I'll never buy furniture from Elgin department store.

Elgin furnitur is on my credit report sayin I owe them money, but I don't. I never missed a payment or was late. It's not fair that they're messin up my credit score like this.

I called them up when we went on quarantine and talked to one of their workers. I told them I lost my job because of covid. They said they would change my payments to the end of the lease and not put anything bad on my credit report. But now there is something bad on my credit report and they added a lot of interest to my account. When I told the rep about it, they hung up on me.

I talked to the boss dude last month and he said if I paid a little bit each month for my two late payments, there wouldn't be no late fee. But when I called today, there was a $45 late fee on my account. When I talked to the boss dude again, he said he was gonna charge me the late fee and he wasn't gonna take it off. I did what he said and made the payments, but then he didn't wanna take my payment 'cause I argued with him about what he promised me.

So, like, my neighbors got some furniture from Elgin's on October 9th and the delivery dude hit some wires with the truck. It messed up the wires for the *** and *** Company and also the electrical riser on my house. It cost me $1700 to fix it! The cops and fire department came and made a report, but Elgin's ain't answering my calls to fix it. Not cool, man.

I bought sum furniture from Elgin Furniture 6 months ago and they said I could get 6 months interest free but they didn't tell me that it would add $433 to my bill. I didn't know about this until I got my bill and now I can't pay it off that fast. I talked to the bank and the company and I need help. I feel like I got scammed by a company that me and my family have been buying from for a long time. Thanks.

I'm really bummed about Elgin Furniture's collection practices. I bought something from them about 16 years ago, but then I had a big event happen and I was in the hospital for months and then rehab for another 2 years. I didn't realize that I still owed them a little bit of money, so I just went on with my life. But then I got a notice at work that they were going to take some of my paycheck. I didn't know about it because they were sending letters to an old address that I hadn't lived at for 10 years. When I called to try to pay what I owed, they told me I had to pay almost 3 times the amount! The "big boss" guy basically said he didn't care about my situation and they weren't going to change anything. I just wanted to pay what I owed, but this guy was so mean and didn't care at all. It's really gross.
