I purchased silk pajamas for my wife for Christmas. Unfortunately they did not fit and my wife didn't care for them. The ellesilk.com website in quite bold lettering says they have convenient and easy free returns for 30 days. This is copied directly from their website:
FREE RETURNS
Easy & Free
Convenient return & exchange service within 30 days.
I emailed their customer support to say I needed to return the item for a refund. I received an email back on 1/03/25 where they provided an RMA # with a link to instructions on how to make the return. In the instructions it gave me an address in China to mail it to at my expense. I sent a reply to them that their website states free returns within 30 days. Ellesilk customer service then replied with an email stating that free returns were for defective items only. On 1/08/25 I sent an email back with a screen shot of their return policy. No where in the return policy does it say or imply that only defective items were eligible for free returns. I asked again for them to honor their stated policy of free returns and to send me a prepaid shipping label. ellesilk.com has not responded to my last email. This is false advertising when they claim FREE and easy returns with zero mention of "only on defective items".
Desired outcome: Would just like to have a pre-paid shipping label to send back the silk pajamas and refund my purchase price
