Eonon.com's Dishonest Warranty Policy: Beware of Backdating and Discounts
So, I bought my second Eonon unit from eonon.com after my first one failed outside of warranty. They gave me a 20% discount on my purchase on February 6th, 2022. But now, this second unit has failed within warranty, and they're telling me that my warranty is backdated to the purchase date of my first unit. Apparently, my warranty expired in November 2022 because they gave me a discount on my second unit. I think this is very dishonest of them, and I would advise others to stay away from this company. I even attached a photo of the email they sent me to prove it.

I gotta say, Eonon is not the best company out there. I got myself a GA5166x and it's been nothing but trouble. The sound doesn't work half the time and I gotta disconnect everything every few weeks just to reset it. And don't even get me started on their customer support. It's all chat or email from China and their English is not so good. They don't even have phone support! And when it comes to their warranty, forget about it. They don't honor it at all. They sent me the wrong system password and an older update file instead of a newer one. It's like they're selling old stuff as new. Even the Best Buy install guys won't touch these units. I recently purchased a unit from Eonon, but unfortunately, I am experiencing some issues with it. The unit is not powering on, and I have been trying to get in touch with their customer service team for the past few days. However, I was informed that they were out of office due to the national China day holiday for four days, and now they are out due to the weekend. It's quite frustrating that I have to wait for so long to get a response from them.
Moreover, I have been trying to explain to them that I have 12V going to the unit, and all fuses are good, but they seem to have trouble understanding my issue. They suggested sending me a wiring harness, which I don't think will solve the problem. I am quite disappointed with their customer service, and I feel like they are not taking my issue seriously.
In my opinion, it's better to buy something from a US-based company so that you can easily return it in case of any issues. Dealing with Eonon has been a headache, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to waste their money on their products. The customer service team seems to be a bunch of idiots who don't understand English and are not willing to help their customers.
Scam Alert: False Apple Carplay Claims - Don't Waste Your Money!
This product is a total scam. They claim to have Apple Carplay, but it's all a lie. There's no wireless or even wired connection, haha. It's a complete joke. The mirroring application takes forever to set up and you have to do it every time you turn it on, haha. It's so bad that it'll make you late and annoyed when you're trying to get from point A to point B.
I'm currently trying to get a refund from them, but they're dragging their feet and trying to stall until the 2-month warranty expires. What a bunch of [censored]s, haha. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. Don't make the same mistake I did and avoid these lying [censored]s, haha.
Impressive Eonon D5168 Stereo: Easy Installation and Great Customer Service
I just got my hands on the Eonon D5168 and I must say, I'm impressed! I installed it in my 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback and it was a breeze. The installation process was simple and took me only around thirty minutes. All I had to do was remove the dashboard panel, take out the old radio, mount the manufacturing bracket to the new stereo, install the new stereo, and connect it to the wiring harness. It was a direct fit and I didn't have to make any modifications or do any custom installation.
I did run into a few hiccups during the installation process, but the quick answers and help I received from Eonon's customer service team made everything a lot easier. They were very helpful and patient with me, which I really appreciated.

Eonon Head Units: A Complete Waste of Money - A Two-Year Nightmare Review
Eonon head units, they are a complete waste of money.
I mean, seriously, what a nightmare! I thought I was getting a good deal when I purchased this head unit for my BMW F30, but boy was I wrong. For the past two years, I've been trying to get it to work properly, but it's been nothing but trouble.
First of all, the unit won't save any settings, especially the time and date. And don't even get me started on the crashes - it happens all the time, and I have to restart the whole thing. And when I use apple CarPlay via the usb dongle, forget about it - it's a disaster.
But that's not all. The memory card slot has dropped inside the unit and swallowed up three memory cards. And the touch screen freezes constantly. And to top it all off, the factory settings menu has changed itself partially to Chinese, which I don't even understand.
And let's not forget about the split screen function that doesn't work, and the Bluetooth that keeps dropping out. I mean, the list goes on and on.
So, if you're thinking about purchasing one of these after market head units, do yourself a favor and don't. Save yourself the headache and the money. Trust me, it's not worth it.

I've been using my Eonon for about 3 months now and I have to say, I'm not too impressed. One of the biggest issues I've had is that it doesn't have a sleep mode. Every time I use it, I have to reset the sound. It's pretty frustrating, to be honest.
On the other hand, there are a lot of features that come with this unit. Unfortunately, it won't hold its memory. So, now I have to sit in my car waiting for it to start up, then wait for the music to start, and then I have to go into the sound settings. It's a bit of a hassle, but I guess it's better than nothing.
One thing that I do really like about the Eonon is the reverse camera. It's amazing, really. The picture is crystal clear, even in the dark. The camera is definitely one of the best features of this unit.
However, I'm starting to get really fed up with it. I'm wondering if it has a battery inside that needs replacing, like on a computer. (Even though it has a memory wire to the battery.) It's just not very good at all in the sound software department. It's a complete fail.
Overall, the unit I have hasn't had any other problems. But, to be fair, I really only listen to the SD card. So, I can't speak to how it performs with other sources.

Mixed feelings about Eonon GM5164: Great product quality, slow shipping, software issues, and flat bass. D series may be a better option
I recently ordered the GM5164 from Eonon and was excited to receive it. However, I was disappointed when it took 10 days to arrive even though I paid for expedited shipping that was supposed to take 3-5 days. The tracking system showed that it traveled halfway around the world before finally reaching me.
Despite the delay, the product was packaged beautifully. The main carton was surprisingly tiny and had a few tears, but the internal boxes were strong and okay. The product quality is Grade A, and the price is very good, although it could have been a little bit cheaper.
Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the product. The GM series has a Miracast feature that no other brand or non-brand has ever attained. However, I could only use the Miracast feature once perfectly, and their software needs fixing, but they don't even admit it.
I bought my product with TPMS, and the GUI of the indash needs tweaking to properly work with TPMS. After sending about 10 emails explaining to them that the TPMS is at times acting up, they finally said okay, send the TPMS back by shipping, and we will test it. If it's defective, we will send a new one. I've been trying to tell them that the software of the indash needs tweaking to properly work with TPMS, not that the TPMS is defective. Sheesh.
The sound quality is good, but it could have been awesome. The problem here is the two subwoofer outputs they have in their inbuilt amplifier. My full option Camry has great speakers with inbuilt woofers, but I don't have any subwoofers. Now, after paying for an upgrade, I'm stuck with an amplifier that is sending flat signals to my speakers because it relies on two subwoofers to give bass. This is ridiculously funny. But hey, the quality is good, just flat bass :( I will not add subwoofers to my car, knowing my speakers used to handle bass extremely well on the original amplifier.
The after-sales service is okay. They are friendly, but hey, my issue was not solved, and I just let it slide, knowing that I am happy I didn't get scammed. The products are good, but buying a D series is a better option than the GM series, as it's even cheaper and has all the features you will be using on the GM series lol.
