The solar panels have only worked for 2 months out of the year that it has been installed they constantly go out because the breakers are overloaded and overworked that's what 3 licensed electricians have told when they came to put in recessed lights amd said its not safe and they lefy no space taking every available breaker space but apparently the phone receptionist knows more then these electrician as well and says everything is fine they are all trying to scam me, well i know someone is but maybe not them. My home is old and needed to have the box updated instead of taking all my free space in my box, and it's going off and they want me to run tests on it after they charge us 20,000 shouldn't u send someone to service it instead of me ? Also my dad was in his last days when he signed the contract and not in his right mind, it kinda seems like a predatory deal on a senior citizen. He would not be pleased if he would be here to see this mess

I was recently installed by ESP and I was impressed with the number of texts I received from the company. I preferred that kind of communication. The panels look great and the design was exactly what I was hoping for. If I could do it all over again, I would still stick with ESP based on my experience.

ESP If you're looking for solar, I advise you go in a different direction

If you're looking for solar, I advise you go in a different direction. They installed panels on my home 2 months ago and the system still isn't operational. They never call with any updates, you have to initiate all contact yourself. Even then, you won't ever talk to anyone who can tell you what's going on. They all say "we'll put in a note to the project manager." I've never spoken to this mysterious project manager. I've been waiting on a "special" circuit breaker this entire time that's apparently coming from the far away land of Nevada. Now, after 2 months, I called again today and they have the circuit breaker but can't get an electrician out to me anytime soon. Meanwhile, the loan for the solar panels still sending the bill so I'll be paying a solar bill and a electric bill until the project is actually finished. It's almost as if they installed my panels knowing they wouldn't finish the job, in order to secure payment. Overall, this company lacks professionalism and transparency. They're also extremely rude. I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to buy solar through them.

Energy Service Providers; installed the solar panels; on the roof; and I haven't heard from them since. They left me; with no idea when; or what it will take; to finish the installation; and activate the system. The delay; in non completion of this project; Is an indication; that I may have made the wrong choice; in selecting Energy Service Partners as a solar provider.

It has taken several months to complete this project. They have missed 3 inspections and the city billed them, which they haven't paid yet. The city put a hold on the account. They keep giving me the run around every time I call. Didn't explain correctly and I didn't know this would be an actual loan againt my house. We didn't agree to that! They are scaming us! They put a lean on our house! We Want these panels Removed! ASAP. CANCEL THE WHOLE PROJECT!

ESP If I could give them negative stars I would!

If I could give them negative stars I would! Do not do business with this company! They only care about over charging you and not even completing the work! Good luck getting a hold of anyone that can help you or answer your questions. Once they take your money they do not care. We started our process in June, it has been over a month and we still can not turn on our panels! We paid to have an electric outlet installed with our panels. No one told us it was on back order and that it wouldn't be done. Our service representative never called us once! Not even to give us a date when we can expect the outlet to be installed. Also when the panels were installed they left a huge mess in our yard that we had to clean up our selves. If someone from California renewable energy comes to sell you on using ESP as your solar provider, shut the door! Do your research and go with another company that is reputable and ethical and will complete the job at a reasonable price. There are so many solar companies out there so I know it can be hard to know who to trust. Believe me, you do not want to go with ESP.

This is not a company, this is fraud or scam. You cease to exist for them after you have paid the money. What you can expect: 1. Unprofessional installation, 30% of solar panels have not been connected properly for more than one year. 2. Any request if they can't sell you something you don't need will be rejected. And it doesn't matter if it's a warranty, maintenance, etc. I don't know how they still do business. If you want to save money, time, health, just stay away from this scam as much as possible.

First off, don't trust ESP, especially once they install the system. They use substandard components and won't stand behind them once they fail. And they will fail. Second, don't expect good customer service. They're rude and you'll be lucky if they respond to your concerns. When, and if, they do respond, they'll sidestep any responsibility. In other words, after the install , you're in your own. Third, if you do choose to use them, caveat emptor. During installation, the installer caused a voltage surge into my home causing over *** in damage. Even though the surge was obviously caused by the installer, ESP refused to take responsibility. Finally, from start to finish, the installation took over 4 months. So, if you're in a hurry, forget it. I've had my system for less than a month and, at the moment, it's not working and it's going on a week since I contacted them for help. Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ENERGY SERVICE PARTNERS.

ESP We had 18 panels put on our roof, when the installers installed the panels, 6 where scratched

We had 18 panels put on our roof, when the installers installed the panels, 6 where scratched. At no point did the workers advised of the damaged caused. I then called the company various times emailed management as well and finally spoke to a manager in the warranty department. This lady was finally able to care care of the issue in regards to the scratched panels, but from upper management, have not received a simple phone call nor email. When the panels where installed, no one ever advised us the we had to still be conservative on the energy, until the inspection was done and the City would have to approve the installation to use the energy from my panels. When I spoke to Brandon a manager and advised of how much my bill had came out to, he then told me he can't pay my bill! (Really) I wasn't asking for my bill to be paid nor for the whole year, what my argument was that as a company communicate better to the consumer, and let them know step by step of the process and not just tell some one, (it's in your contract) Who ever spoke to my wife and I, made it seem that everything was ok and working once installed. The only thing that was told AFTER is congratulations on you're purchase. This is very upsetting and that's why I'm reaching out to you guys.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I started my project. I was supposed to have my panels installed on April 8th. They called and said the installers called out sick and rescheduled for April 14th. They came at 7:30a.m. and left a little after 3:00p.m. I was supposed to get a $100 gift card for my inconvenience, still waiting for it. It's like they left all of their trash on my roof because every time the wind blows, I'm picking up something else and throwing it away. That is if my puppy hasn't gotten it first and chewed it up. Fingers crossed the installation goes well.

If I could put zero stars I would! ESP put solar panels on a roof without it being permitted and then look to place the blame on me the customer. Their policies and procedures are out of line and will fail you too as a customer. The project manager and his supervisor have provided me with the worst customer service of my life. They dodge direct communication and do not follow through with messages that are being left. I'm being told I'm on the hook for a loan and my electricity bill while these guys are not around to help resolve the issue. I paid them to do a job and they have yet to complete it but have my money! STAY AWAY!

ESP I only put a Star cus I had to

I only put a Star cus I had to ...this company is no good and will never get back to you ...They are not honoring what they explained to me. I was told my main panel was outdated and it was going to get it replaced when I signed.. Then 5 months later time of installation the contractor tells me he's going to put a gma which is a adapter that makes your old main panel work. When I called to get clearification, ESP and SIMPLE SOLAR a worthless solar company pretty much said that is the cheaper route instead of replacing my main panel like I was told... biggest headache having these issues this company doesn't reach out to you...now I'm dealing with them, the installation company and the finance company that is already been billing me for 4 months and I still haven't been connected or contacted. Don't trust their reimbursement plan I just read Your response and it's a lie .. I already submitted proof to u in the blueprint ESP sent me in the beginning that has main panel upgrade, also the permit submitted to my city calls for a main panel upgrade...and a recording of ESP manager installer confirming my Main panel upgrade...the issues with you guys is not honoring and wanting to go the cheapest route ... Future customer don't get scammed and always ask & inform urself of what the r doing to ur house ...and NO. your company doesn't reach out... I haven't heard from anyone.

ESP I think this has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with

I think this has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. They gave me a date that they would be finished and that came and gone. I got involved in the permit process to try and speed up the time frame and I got them the city permit 3 weeks ahead of time for them and then they told me they were trying to get approval from edison, which at minimum it takes 30 days for edison to respond. I was told I would not have to pay for edison and a solar bill in the same month, which was not true either. I could go on and on. The selling point to me is that they kept telling me about getting a 7800.00 rebate from the goverment and that I would get it on my tax return and if I gave the 7800.00 to loanpal that my payment would remain the same until my loan was paid off. What they NEVER said was if you quilify you will get the rebate. So I did my taxes and because I dont pay a huge amount of money to the feds I dont qualify for the full amount of the rebate, therefore my monthly bill is going to go up to about the same price or more than I was paying for Edison. So I went XXXXX.00 in debt to end up payiny solar the same amount I was paying Edison. So my experience with this company was horrific. I would NEVER reconmend this company to nobody. They lie to you on just about every question you have for them. I'll be honest, I would like for them to come and take there solar system off my roof, give me my money back and return to gettting power from Edison. I could go on, but I will stop for now.I hope no one else get's screwed as I did.

ESP This company doses solar installations!

This company doses solar installations! The installers and the inspectors are fine and friendly. They answered all questions I asked mostly. They were on time and did their job quick and clean. The problem was the entire office staff were terrible. The salesman even quite as soon as my sake was done. I tried to call and get some information from them. They never called me back. I also sent emails from their web site and they never answered them either. I also sent text messages to them and got only the cursory answers to some of them. The installation was done very quick but it took a very long time to get my system to actually work . The company inspector was there and approved it as well as the city contractor inspector was only a few days late but approved th product nd the work. The company did not take 2 picture they needed to send to the energy company to turn it all on. They wanted me to do it but gave me bad instruction as to what they needed. I did take the picture and sent them to 2 different people at their office. They finally told me that they would get someone from the company out to do this. It took a very long time for this to happen. Then the DWP sent out some men to change the meter and make it ready to work but ESP was to turn it on themselves. It still took days for that to happen. In all this after my system was inplace I still got 2 big energy bills because of ESP's mishandling of all this. My system was in place for 2 months at least before anything was done about trying to make it work with the DWP I am still waiting for the DWP.s next bill to see if it actually works or not. ESP told me I could use an app on my phone to see if it all works but have still refused to tell me how to get that to work evn again after numerous attempts to contact them. I will never recommend these people even though the actual installation went quick and fast and clen. the customer service is non existent!

ESP My issue with ESP does not pertain to the friendliness of the office staff or the installers

My issue with ESP does not pertain to the friendliness of the office staff or the installers. Both were kind throughout the process. In fact, my meter didn't know how to read my system without PTO so my usage doubled and ESP (likely my project coordinator) sent a $100 gift card to cover the extra cost. My biggest complaint that makes it impossible for me to recommend to friends or family is their lack of communication and miscommuncation. I started my project in November . My solar was activated on 4/13/22. Here are the key issues that show the communication breakdown: 1) A new subpanel was recommended by ESP in November during the drawing up of my solar plans. On the installation date (1/24/22), the subcontractor did not have the right size subpanel. They had to come back 1.5 weeks later. 2) The city inspector came out to meet the subcontractor. The subcontractor did not have a CO form and I was not notified that the city inspector would need access to the utility closet for my building where my SDGE meter was located. This required a key from my HOA that I had to go pick up. Both the city inspector and subcontractor could not sign off on my system and had to come back. 3) The subcontractor did not show up when both the city inspector and subcontractor were supposed to come back for a follow up. 4) SDGE required a placard on my meter to distinguish mine from my other townhome neighbors. ESP received the same email from SDGE on 3/16/22. It took ESP 3.5 weeks to get this placard. I obtained the key from my HOA for the utility closet that housed my meter in preparation for the subcontractors visit only to realize the subcontractor had already put it on during installation 2.5 months ago. I lost almost 4 weeks over an issue that had already been resolved. When ESP received the notice from SDGE back on 3/16/22, they should have looked further into it to see they had already performed this task. 5.5 months for a 3.52kWh system seems like an awful long time.

ESP We signed a contract with ESP in November

We signed a contract with ESP in November . The panels went up in December . ESP came back twice, removed all the panels and replaced them. Two times this happened! Over several months. We called many, many times to try to find out what was going on. We were promised call backs, which almost never happened! When we did get an answer it was they were sourcing the parts. Finally on 2/18 the City Inspector came with an ESP person. The system failed the test.
Many calls and excuses later another City Inspection was held on 5/26 - Three Months Later! The system failed - again! One of the failures reported was holes left in our roof, which were NOT promptly fixed by ESP and it rained a few days later. I had a call with Brandon on 7/6, again asking when our system would be operational and the holes would be fixed. He said there was nothing on his report about the holes. I said we have not been on our roof, the only people who have are ESP personnel. A few days later I called and spoke with a woman who said the same old thing about finding parts, and that they were having problems with the City scheduling inspections. So I called the City who said they could have an inspector out the next day after a call. I also obtained a copy of the two inspection reports, and the 5/26 one clearly states there are holes to be repaired. On approximately 7/8 I spoke with the same woman as before and told her this information and sent her a copy of the inspection reports. She said she would get with her supervisor and get back to me. I did not hear back from her so called her the following week. She said she'd been out and forgot about us, and that she'd given the information to her supervisor. I told her that if we don't hear about getting the system fixed by 7/17 we are filing suit. No one from ESP has bothered to contact us with ANY information about ANY progress in getting our solar functional. We have legal assistance at no cost to us so we will proceed on 7/17. We are now paying the power company for electricity and a credit union for the non-functional solar system!

ESP IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE AS A CONSUMER, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE AS A CONSUMER, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Where do I begin on my horrible journey with ESP... I was assigned this installer through the Solar Sales company I used to purchase my panels. In the beginning, it all seemed to be going according to plan. Communication was clear, expectations were set, and the job was well under way. I am now on MONTH 5 of my install journey and the job is still not complete (although ESP sent me communication saying we are, more on this later).

Throughout my experience, I just kept thinking...Do Better. Communication with ESP is at an all time low, and no one seems to know what the *** is going on. My non-existent "Project Coordinator" made little to no contact with me throughout the process, I had to initiate 100% of the calls to ESP to find out the status on my Project. If I am paying upwards of $30k for a service, I expect a base line level of communication from the company.

Once a project has been scheduled, they provide no level of detail on what each job entails (and they will schedule A LOT of jobs throughout your journey). From delivery drivers screaming at my neighbors for a parking spot, to leaving my front gate open and having my dog run out (and having to chase him barefoot across the street), to having 3rd party contractors just show up unannounced and sit in my driveway for 6 hours, you never know what you're going to get with ESP.

The last straw for me, outside of the 5 month and counting timeline, was that they classified my job as complete before it was even finished. I assume this is to collect their payment and move on to the next one. I purchased 13 panels, but only 8 of them are functional. There are 5 panels (worth about $12k) that have never turned on. Instead of finishing the job correctly the first time, they classified my job as "complete" and listed the 5 panels as a warranty issue instead. This is a completely different department than the install team and if you can imagine, takes even LONGER to schedule someone to come out. I have now been given the same BS reply for 3 weeks that the job is "scheduled to be scheduled"...unacceptable. I am paying FULL PRICE for a job that is HALFWAY done.

As I said in the beginning, STAY FAR AWAY from ESP if you have a choice in the matter. I am surprised they ask their customers to offer feedback, but glad I have the opportunity to share my experience with the world. ESP should stand for Everything Sucks, Period.

ESP My opinion of the service I've received so far

My opinion of the service I've received so far.

ESP has failed the Sunrun Solar company.

Unprofessional service with no guarantee!
Sunrun solar sold me a system back in June . A third party contractor from Energy Service Partners came out to install 28th July . The two contractors arrived late complaining there company should have put them up in a hotel. They had to access the electrical panel to add the system. They had to move the switches to different locations in the panel in order for the solar to be added. They did not shut the system down 100% they just started moving switches to different locations. Lights and fans and tv was flicking on and off while this happened. The contractors were running from the front to the back of the roof with the solar panels 35 of them. Not sure if the roof will leak were they were running on it till winter. They urinated in my back yard several times. (Very un-professional) My wife saw it and so did I. When I asked about the electrical set up they had little to no information to share. I felt in the dark. They damaged a chimney bending it so there solar panel would fit not sure if it will leak till winter. They also put white putty all over it and it looked perfect before. I actually painted it last year and now it looks terrible. They did not ask me if it was ok to damage the chimney for the solar panel to fit. All day they were complaining about their company not putting them up in a hotel the night before and complaining they were tired over and over again. We noticed right before they were done the water was off. My well pump surged and went out during the moving of the switches. They called there office and the person they spoke to said to have the pump fixed and they would pay for it if it was determined it was there fault. So I did and the pump company came out and fixed and determined it was there fault. They said this would not have happened if the project never happened and moving the circuits could have caused the surge. Service was very un-professional and rushed and the contractors seemed to have very little information when asked any questions. I sent Sunrun and Energy Service Partners a copy of the bill with a letter from the pump company. I got a call back today 10/16 stating they won't pay for the pump repair as they don't feel it's their fault. This is something that would not have happened if they never started. The solar system is still not up and working and we are in our 5th month. Very unsatisfied with the service would not recommend to anyone furthermore I would out right say don't do it! Sunrun rep. is alright Energy Service Partners un-satisfactory and un-professional. Also at looking at other reviews this seems to happen over and over again!

ESP BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS ENERGY SERVICE PARTNERS (ESP) UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY AND TIME TO BURN AND ARE A GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT. You may eventually get a working product but you will go through a LONG, HELLISH PROCESS to get there. We signed our contract in October , paid in full in February and are not 100% complete in October , and that is with persistent follow ups. Definitely STEER CLEAR IF YOU LIVE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA because they do not have expert staff up here. You will have to wait an extra long time for technical service. If you do use this company, MAKE SURE YOUR CONTRACT SAYS THAT THEY WILL PROVIDE DOCUMENTED PROOF THAT EVERY COMPONENT IS FULLY OPERATIONAL BEFORE YOU PAY FOR THE INSTALLATION. We naively trusted them and it turned out that their "install" was far from fully functioning, both on the solar panels and battery backup. You can not trust anything they say but need to get digital readouts that show that all panels fully power up and that there are accurate production/consumption readings in the monitoring portal. If you get a battery, also get proof that it charges, discharges, and that all outlets you designate for emergency battery power are working when the power is shut off. IF YOU TAKE THEIR WORD FOR ANY OF THIS WITHOUT PROOF YOU WILL BE SORRY. AVOID GETTING A BATTERY BACKUP FROM THIS COMPANY for your solar array. They lack battery installation and troubleshooting experience, and they will blame the battery like there is no tomorrow if you have problems with your system. One of their more "expert" staff didn't even know you could get a battery readout on the inverter display. And ESP executive management and their lawyer also said the battery was the problem, even though we had to work through many solar failures to even be able to find out there were battery issues. The same manager at one point also said said there was "just a monitoring issue" and I had to take the time to take screenshots and show him that the system was not functioning properly (yes, you will have to do their work). TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ONSITE WORK. First, they failed to put the battery on the permit application which delayed our project from the start. We had to follow up every step of the way because they often do not reply to voicemails or emails, and even when they do they often will not follow through. I was also flat out lied to by the warranty rep that said our battery was working when I had proof it was not. Numerous times service staff came out unprepared, either without proper support staff, equipment or both to fully fix the problems. Twice they left while the system was still rebooting, leaving us to have to review the system and provide evidence that things still were not working. I am only telling you a small fraction of our saga here. Almost exactly a year since signing the contract, ESP has yet to get our battery connected to the all of the requested outlets for emergency power. Even their lawyer forgot to follow up on this as promised. We have been waiting a whole month for a response to this issue. The only "saving grace" at ESP is a gentleman named Rudy. Unfortunately they are overly reliant on this one man and he does not live in NorCal. They need to clone him many times over!

ESP I'm afraid I have to add to the negative reviews of ESP on this site

I'm afraid I have to add to the negative reviews of ESP on this site. We already have an array of solar panels being monitored through Sunrun and when the sales associate, Aaron, explained that ESP was an installer that already worked through Sunrun, and explained that the addition of more panels would be an easy addition to make to our account, we jumped at the chance. After signing all the electronic documents and finalizing the initial contract with ESP, we were assigned our project coordinator, Stephanie. Stephanie is the only reason that ESP is getting a 2-Star review instead of a 1-Star.
Our initial install was completed in August. That's when things started going south. First, the installers left all manner of garbage and scraps in my yard as well as totally filled up the recycle bin on my property that we pay for. We were absolutely unable to put any of our recyclable materials in the bin for the remainder of the week.
Secondly, it took nearly a month to schedule a final inspection. On the day of the scheduled inspection, I took the day off work due to having to keep dogs in the house, the inspector never showed up. We had to wait several more weeks for the inspector to come and when he did finally show up, he determined that one of the panels needed to be relocated.
Thirdly, it took until almost mid-October to get a technician on site to relocate the panel. Which turned out to be an all-day process. Fortunately, the technicians were able to gain access to the panel array and electrical boxes from the front of the house and none of the dogs needed to be penned in. Unfortunately, the technicians turned off the main switch that cut off power production from our pre-existing set of panels. I didn't notice that we were not producing any solar power until almost the middle of November when the inspector came to approves the relocation of the panel.
Stephanie was astute enough to recognize that ESP has a policy which states they will reimburse any payments for solar service incurred once a project has been completed, but not approved for power production and we were reimbursed for the approximately $95 monthly fee we pay to Sunrun. However, they explicitly state that they DO NOT reimburse for any utility bills. Unfortunately, we had a warm Fall season here in the high desert of CA and as we had company staying with us, as well as pets in the house, we had to run the AC during the day. As a result, our utility *** for the month that we were not producing any solar power, including our "True Up" ***, reached a balance of over $1300.00. According to ESP, we are responsible for this *** even though it is the result of their technicians turning off the switch that cut off power production to our pre-existing panel array.
Aside from the heavy financial costs that ESP has put on our shoulders, one very significant issue I did notice was the lack of access each department has to each other and how that restricts access and flow of information. Our Project Coordinator, Stephanie, had no way to access or to to speak directly to ESP's scheduling department. Thus, on many occasions, all she could tell me was that she "put in a call/request," but beyond that, there was no further information she could get to me. Again, her efforts and consistent contact with me is the only reason this is not a 1-Star review.
Short story long, I would recommend that anyone who is approached by ESP's sales staff, tell them to keep walking and pay them no heed whatsoever. This has been an emotionally and financially taxing endeavor and I would not wish this experience on anyone else.

Please read my entire review to the end as I have been updating it.

In our honest and respectful opinion our experience with Energy Service Partners has been awful. They did damage to our home including drilling though the outside walls and into the inside walls damaging, puncturing and fracturing the interior walls of our home. Our interior walls are plaster, not sheet rock, so the repairs will be costly in addition to paying for plaster work we must also paint the room and eaves that were damaged. The exterior eaves were ripped through and damaged by misaligned screws from the panel installation done on the roof. We waited from December to April for the workers to come and fix the damage done. When they came to "fix" their bad work the worker only pulled out the misaligned screws and did not repair the damage done to the eaves. He then took a mismatch spray paint can that he had on hand and spray painted over the ripped up wood in an attempt to polish the turd repair work he had done.

Our solar project started Dec. 22nd 2020 and today is March 6th and the sales guy is ignoring our calls after promising to pay our Edison bill until our panels are up and running. To date we cannot get an inspection passed *** the city. Their project has failed 2 inspections and they will not give us a date for when they are going to fix their shoddy work.

In December they convinced us to allow them to install the panels even though we were reluctant because of the upcoming holidays. After the panels were installed (SEE PHOTOS on YELP Under Energy Service Partners - K. ***) they ONLY THEN told us that our main panel could not support the project and had to be upgraded. They only told us that AFTER they covered our roof in solar panels. The main panel was upgraded in late January and the project has been at a full stop since then because it can't pass *** is now March 7th and the project has no end date. ESP sent me an email asking me to review their work so here I am! YOU ASKED FOR A REVIEW!

The sales rep Michael Metz seems to be trying to help and did promise to pay our Edison bill but if you READ OTHER ONE STAR REVIEWS you will find that the promise is short lived and many people are paying an electric bill and a solar panel bill thanks to Energy Service Partners not completing projects.

Update: 5/5 Energy Service Partners had agreed via email and text message to pay my contractor to fix the damage they did to my home. When it was time to pay up they sent a contract written up by a lawyer loaded with legalese stating that they would only pay to repair the damage they did if I agreed to not further review their work.

Update: 5/5 Our Edison Electric Bill was paid by ESP but repair to our home has been stopped by me as I do not trust their work ethic. WE HAVE SEE YOUR WORK! Our house was spray painted in a mismatch color and your repair man left without asking for our approval FULLY KNOWING his work was unacceptable. Simply put there was no repair work done! He just pulled out a rattle can and spray painted over the holes in the eaves and did not even attempt to enter the house to repair the damage done to the interior walls.

Update: April 1st we are now only in communication with the CEO of Simple Solar and not even he can tell me when my solar panels will be working.

Update: Today is April 13th and the hole that was left in the wall by the main panel upgrade since December has finally been filled.

Update: Today is April 16th and there is still no service on my solar panels. The panels are not working four months after installation.
UPDATE: June we are going to court for the damage they have done to our home.

RUN FOR THE HILLS AND DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

ESP The process for the solar started in May 2022 when they sent the roof inspector to ensure our roof was ok to have the solar installed

The process for the solar started in May 2022 when they sent the roof inspector to ensure our roof was ok to have the solar installed. Fast forward to July 12th, 2022 the solar was installed, and was told they are waiting for the city. The installers also did damage to my roof and failed to notify us. I notice when I was walking from my mailbox and notified the company, the intern told me they would fix it when they come out for the final inspection. Fast forward after calling them almost weekly, it's September 2022 and we are still waiting for the city to get a date for the final inspection and them to fix the hole in our roof. They haven't updated me on anything and they only give me an update when I reach out to them. I should have listened to the other customer who reported similar things in the *** and *** reviews. I'm just lucky that I didn't sign the loan documents until the solar panel was turned on or I would be paying for them to sit on my roof. They told me today that the permit will be ready for pick up this Friday the 8th of September then they can schedule the final inspection but with their track record for stringy me along I'm not holding my breath. Do yourself a favor and go with a local company who with take care of you.

Date of system installation May 5, 2022, date of Permission to operate September 4, 2022. Number on the account XXX-XXX-XXXX ESP committed and communicated that the time frame would be 8 - 10 weeks from installation to operation, and it was a total of 4 calendar months. I called and emailed ESP with questions for the reason of the delay and I would repeatedly be blown off or go unanswered. ESP did not communicate effectively or efficiently, causing us to do the work of communicating with the third parties, taking time from our schedule to receive information that they were supposed to provide. The lack of commitment to customer service borders on false advertisement as presented on their webpage and by their sales representatives. Our questions went unanswered and ignored.

I purchased solar panels in 2021. the system was installed in April, but it took ESP until June to activate the system because of a miscommunication. In June 2022 the system stopped producing energy. A technician didn't come out until August 16th. I was told by the technician that the system was not wired correctly and the the inverter had a faulty board that needed to be replaced. Despite repeated attempts to reach ESP for information or an update, it's now September 17th and the system still isn't working and I have no information as to when they will be addressing the issues. As a result of not having the system working for the hottest part of the year it's costing me about *** in additional energy consumption as well as it turns out they damaged my roof in the process of installation resulting in a

ESP I regret ever starting this process

I regret ever starting this process. I've been paying for the panels on my roof for months now and still the electricity does not flow. Things were supposed to be completed today. After waiting MONTHS for these guys to show up, they finally did. ESP's guys came, worked for a while, then came and told me *** canceled and they wouldn't be able to do the work. Ok, fine. I guess we can blame the monopoly power provider for providing monopoly customer service, right? Well, five minutes after the ESP guys leave, the city inspector and *** show up at my front door. The inspector said he just happened to run into the *** guy at another job and had nothing scheduled, so he came to help with my place. *** tells me THEY WERE NEVER SCHEDULED TO SHOW UP TODAY. I called ESP and even though their guys were only gone 5 minutes, they decided not to come back because they "couldn't finish the job today" ESP customer service rep is less than helpful telling me, "This happens all the time" as if that's supposed to make me feel better that I'm not the only customer getting screwed. ESP absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for the screw-up, and offers absolutely NOTHING but excuses, evasion, and half-truths. Avoid ESP if you value your time and money, because they certainly don't.

Panels were installed on 7/30/22, install went well. Workers picked up their mess and were very friendly. That's were all the positive feedback ends, after the initial install there has been missed final inspections. Inspector showed up on a date when nobody was home, called city of *** and they explained he had been scheduled for final inspection by ESP. Project coordinator- *** takes days to respond to simple messages. Always the same explanation- waiting on my team to provide update...It has now been over a month now and still waiting for final inspection to be performed on solar system. I have missed two days from work clinging on the hope that both *** and city inspector will come out and sign off on solar system. Contacted customer service and was given the explanation these things happen often, I guess that's supposed to give me some comfort in knowing not the only person getting *** Especially with this heat wave we could have produced additional electricity to support the grid and lowered our electrical bill.

ESP I notified the company that I had 0 production for over 6 months

I notified the company that I had 0 production for over 6 months. Nobody has clarified why or reimbursed me for $*** bill this caused. I have my panels through ESP. I noticed that my panels were not producing in Feb of 2020. Reached out to the company to ask why it was showing no production on my monitoring app. I was told (and this is a direct quote because I have it in writing) "I'm not sure why the app says 0 but the chart says you've produced over 5 megawatts which is great!". Fast forward a few months and I now have a $*** bill from NV Energy because my system was not producing for 6 MONTHS! Not only have I been pushed aside by customer service (told on the phone that I am wasting my time), they have refused to have anyone look at my panels and are refusing to reimburse me the $***. I did my job! I monitored my panels! I notified the company when it said 0 production! I have been fighting to have someone even explain to me why my panels were not producing for 6 months. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced and when I produced a letter from my power company that states they will shut off my power within 2 days, they promised me I would get a call back for resolution. No call. No resolution. No empathy. And, all in the middle of a pandemic.

They did not complete installation according to contract. *** installed my solar panels Oct. 2021, I start having problems with pigeons, I out a company to go up on my roof to see what was going on. That is when I discovered that they fell to complete the job. They did not install the critter guard that I paid extra for, and because of their failure to install the critter guard, I have birds nesting under and soiling my panels. They refuse to return my phone calls and when you do get someone they do not have a clue and always promise someone will call back and they have not. ESP ESP took many months for the solar install

ESP took many months for the solar install. Had so many mistakes leaving customer to pay bills for many months. Customer had to be the project manager Energy Service Partners started the Solar installation project at my home in November and completed after about 5 months and I am still waiting to get the app installed to see the energy usage. From the start this project was managed very poorly. We had about 6 teams come to do the work and each time one did't know what was the previous team planed on doing and was agreed to the customer. This each team was very inexperience workers made so many mistakes including making unnecessary holes from the roof that ended with water leaks into the house. While there was no communications from the project manager to the customer and other partners of the project. Had many project managers changes every time we complaint and every one of them was same. While they drag this project for many months, customer has to pay electricity bill and before even project completes customer having to start to pay the loan payments. Not to mention all the hours the customer has to make available at home to monitor their work because, if you don't they will do everything wrong.I think I must have add many hours to this project from the start including hours on the phone. I had to play the project manager role for the whole project.

ESP We signed a contract last summer 2021 for solar

We signed a contract last summer 2021 for solar. We had the panels installed a couple months later, 9. Well, it is 8/2022 and we still do not have working panels. We have been paying on these panels since 10/21 even though we were not to start payment until solar fully functioning. I cannot express in words how terrible of an experience we have had with this company. Everything is someone else's fault apparently due to their contracting out. We have made numerous attempts by phone to address our lack of solar. We have had numerous electrical inspections fail where city comes out to check, no shows, no call backs, etc. We have had their own employees tell us they were backed up and couldn't get people to work as if this makes us feel any better. I honestly don't know how companies like these can remain in business. There is so much more but l would be writing a novel. We were supposed to have *** come assess our trees/wiring yesterday *** Well they didn't show up so l text *** number on card. He stated he contacted company contracted and informed them he couldn't make it do to illness, after l stayed home yet again waiting for service. We are at our wits end. My hope is to help us rectify this problem and hopefully prevent someone else from being put in the position we are in. The atrocious work ethic or lack there of is *** and

ESP The solar system we bought in November, installed in February is still not functional and the holes they left in our roof are still open!

The solar system we bought in November, installed in February is still not functional and the holes they left in our roof are still open! We signed a contract with ESP on November 9 with our sales representative *** of KOTA. The necessary underlayment plywood was installed on January 11. The panels were installed, for the first time, on January 16. An inspection by the City of***, was held on February 18 and was Disapproved.ESP workers came back twice, removed the 13 panels, and re-installed them. One of the of the re-installs was on March 27, the other on April 4. ESP came back on May 8 to "finish the Solar Install." Another City inspection was held on May 26 and again was Disapproved. We have texted Omar many, many times about this and he says he's understanding our frustration but cannot get our problem solved to date. We have called ESP countless times and talked to many people there and they say the hang up is with the Inspection Dept. No one seems to be able to get an answer from them, even Brad C. who is the Customer Service Manager. I have talked with the City Inspector and even he said he would call to see if he could shake things loose. Today is August 4, and it may rain tomorrow. There are holes in our roof noted in the last inspection. We started paying $107.04 per month with Technology Credit Union in January. We are still paying hundreds of dollars to PG&E bills for electricity monthly.

ESP I have 25 years of experience in the home improvement industry with emphasis in Solar Panel sales, installation and services

I have 25 years of experience in the home improvement industry with emphasis in Solar Panel sales, installation and services. Which is to say I know the business inside out. I signed up with Quativa on July 2022 and all I wanted for for them to perform as promised. They offered that I would be able to input the client's data, add all additional information such as KWH consumption and through their service I was able to prepare an estimate, submit the client for finance options, generate contracts, close a sale, hand it over to their installers and wait for the install so I can collect. Their system is so FLAWED that overpriced an estimate by $14,000 when I asked them about it, they had no clue, they did not know how to price the system, they had no clue about anything. If they are so INCOMPETENT on something as basic as pricing a system, can you imagine a 50, 000 install?!?!?!? What about the home owner?!?!?!?! The onboarding was a catastrophe, They never returned a call, answer the phone, reply to any of my texts and when they did it was no response at all until I just got fed up with their ineptitude and decided to opt out and get my money back. It's been a nightmare. There are NO numbers for any of their people to be reached other than the inept that were NOT doing their jobs to begin with *** and ***; this people refused to provide me with a name or a number of any of their superiors. All I want is my money BACK and I want it NOW.

I was misled in to signing a contract on an ipad for solar panel installation with Energy Service Partners (ESP) . I was told I was signing something to lock in my rate if I decide to move forward. ESP The solar installation is subpar and one of the worst jobs in our neighborhood

The solar installation is subpar and one of the worst solar installation jobs in our neighborhood. We truly regret being serviced by this company. ESP started our solar installation in May 2022. First, the site surveyor tripped our AC system, leaving us without a working AC for nearly 4 weeks during a hot summer! We called and emailed, but they refused to take accountability, claiming it wasn't their fault. After hiring a technician at our expense, we confirmed it was their fault. Post-installation, we found the work substandard and incomplete. A hole was made in the wall of our home, left open and unaddressed. They sent a worker who hastily filled the hole but didn't paint over it. Their work remains incomplete. According to the site plan/agreement and conduit notes - paragraph 2: 'Conduit to be painted to match exterior/existing background color of its location.' These notes have not been fulfilled. Please see the attached photos. The conduits remain unpainted, and the holes made on the roof during installation have not been fixed. We've been calling and leaving messages weekly for over 8 weeks without any response. Our emails have also been ignored. All our efforts to resolve this issue have been met with silence and inaction. Our experience with ESP's solar system installation has been regrettable and disappointing.

ESP Solar panel installation total payment issue with leased system

I paid for a solar panel installation on my leased system. The installers combined wiring to send energy to the panel and ordered an incompatible breaker, despite a prior site survey. The faulty breaker, a safety hazard, caused my system to power down, costing me monthly payments without receiving energy. This also increased my energy costs due to grid supply errors. After 15 days, the breaker was replaced. Promised reimbursement has not been received, and the company avoids contact. They also falsified operation permissions, and there's no record under my address. I may involve legal action as my property was damaged, and my roof was left exposed to rain. I have documented evidence and seek contact to resolve this issue. I will provide detailed files once in direct communication due to their volume.

On May XX XXXX I signed a contract agreement with Energy Service Partners (ESP) for $21,032 to have solar panels installed, the panels were installed July X XXXX. On July XX XXXX I called and spoke with an ESP representative, he told me he couldn't locate my panels on his monitoring system, he said he would call me back the same day but never did. Between July 28 - August 18 I have called and spoke to 3 different ESP reps a total of 7 times and not one time did they offer any resolution or remedy. On August 12 an *** technician came to the house, he found the monitoring system was hooked up backwards and the wifi from the panels was not connecting to the system. He said he didn't have a new Wi-Fi o him and someone would be out to complete the repair. On August 18 I called ESP, the rep told me he hadn't received the report from the technician yet. I called the technician on August 22, he said that wasn't true and that he reported his findings on August 12. On August 18 I sent an email to *** explaining briefly that I needed assistance, she never replied back. On August 19 I emailed ESP at *** a complete detailed correspondence explaining my experience, I have yet to hear a response. These are the only 2 known emails I have. The first is from the individual who emailed me the contract the second is the email address on the contract.

ESP We have several complaints against a particular Solar Energy Company

We have several complaints against a particular Solar Energy Company. The system does not work at all. In June, we paid a significant amount for power. We contacted the company multiple times over the past year, but our concerns were dismissed. The salesman rushed us through the process. We were not given proper notice. The property is jointly owned with my sister. The representative returned the next day, rushing me to sign on his tablet while my sister was absent and I was unwell. My sister's name is missing from the paperwork. In March, a representative visited us. We were unaware that a solar salesman must be registered with their company. The rep claimed our energy bills would be reduced with the installation of solar panels. We were impressed and asked for a follow-up visit. The rep returned when my sister was away and hurried me into signing the contract on his tablet. I am an elderly man on disability with health issues. We reached out to the company multiple times before a supervisor contacted us, claiming the system was functioning properly. He denied responsibility for the salesman's promises. In June, our energy bill was the highest in years, despite being away for treatment. The solar panels need to be removed at the company's expense, and the contract needs to be reviewed.

ESP In 2019 solar panels were installed

In 2019 solar panels were installed. At the final walk through it was noted, among other items, that broken tiles needed to be replaced. As soon as the rain started, a couple months later, my roof was leaking so bad the water was streaming through the light fixtures in my ceiling and *** on the drywall. I called *** multiple times and I always got voicemail so I'd leave a message. I never received a reply. I had to hire a roofer to patch my *** At the time of the patching the roofer said as it was an old roof it would need to be replaced in a year or *** A couple months ago I called ESP warranty again to discuss them removing the panels and then re-installing after the new roof was placed. I was shocked that I was able to get a hold of someone finally and actually told them that. I told them what I needed and they asked for the roofers contact info, I assumed that was to coordinate the removal. Over a week went by and no contact from *** I called and was informed they were going to send out an evaluator but didn't know when and would call me *** A week later I still had not heard anything so called again. I was referred to my case *** and they supplied me with her email. I can send you the email chain if you'd like but the gist of it says they are not going to send out an evaluator, they have sent my claim to their legal department and that I need to pay them to remove and then re-install the panels. They will not give me the legal contact information. I have asked them for all documents and notes from the before, during and after installation on my roof. My roofer wanted to know why they installed panels on an old roof. I'm not asking them to repair the damages to my ceiling, although I should and I should back charge them for the cost to the patching roofer, but I just want them to coordinate with my roofer to remove and then *** the panels.

ESP Installation of a residential solar setup started 04/13/2022

Installation of a residential solar setup started 04/13/2022. They brought and attempted to install the wrong panels (my husband checked the labels and caught them), had to return on 04/20/2022 to install the correct products. At the time of installation *** was informed that there would be an inspection prior to functionality, and this would be scheduled based upon LA County inspector's availability. The invertor was not operational, the installers left without giving us an update on the invertor and/or whether the system was complete and operational. My husband called my husband 04/28/2022 1:16 & 2:30 pm to request an update and was told he would receive a call back. *** text my husband to advise him that she had requested an update from her team and that she would be in contact at 1:29pm. That afternoon *** was advised that the invertor was replaced, however, this is impossible as no one was let onto the property and it is locked with functioning security cameras. *** reached out for an update on getting the LA county inspection completed and next steps on 05/16/2022 at 1:33pm, and he received a return call at 1:42 pm. On this call *** advised that she would need to get guidance from her team and would follow up. *** calls back at *** 05/16 and says that they are just waiting on a county inspector to become available. Called *** on 06/01/2022 at 1:48pm and text at 1:49pm to ask for an update on inspection/invertor. *** responded the following day 06/02/2022 at 12:00pm to let *** know that she was out of the office 06/01/2022, *** was not available that day. On 06/03/2022 *** text *** stating that the *** inspection would take place 06/08/2022 at 8am, but not for sure and *** would confirm. *** called *** at 1:42pm and stated it would be tentative and she would advise if it was going to happen. 06/03/2022 is also the day that *** was no longer our contact andRemainder of explanation is available upon request

Sales person was not honest about pricing, pushed signing of contract, forged a signature of a person that was not present, and never provided a quote Sales people approached my home to discuss solar in July . We had been looking into getting solar so we listened to their pitch. When they first got to the house they said they worked for the state. Very misleading. They made an appt with us for the following day to get into how solar works, etc. They came back the next day and they did their presentation of what our solar package would look like. The head sales guy told us about how the state had set aside grant money for solar customers; one grant which he said was directly due to the coronavirus was only good for a few more days. He said all he would need was a signature to lock in the grants and the low solar *** we would be getting. We explained that we did not own the house, but that the owner had been wanting to get solar on the house. The sales guy said that only the owner could sign the paperwork. Of course, the owner was not present at this meeting and obviously could not have signed it. I told the sales guy that I would need to speak to the owner first anyway before we decided what we were going to do. We made it clear we were still looking at other solar companies and their pricing. He kept pushing what a great deal this was and I told him if we decided to go with their solar, we would either pay it in full or that we would obtain the credit for the solar, not the owner. In order to lock in that ***, we would have to put a deposit of $*** down if we decided to pay in full. He told us they would give us the weekend to decide and would contact us before they would take the down payment. He assured us they would not take the deposit until we gave them the green light. He then emailed what I thought was a quote. Then, they left. On my email I noticed that the signature was in the owner's name, even though he was never at this meeting. At that point, we definitely were not going to use that company because these sales people were extremely dishonest and just wanted to make the sale. A few days went by and they debited our account for the $***. I emailed the office manager and told them that I had not authorized that and in no uncertain terms that I would not be doing business with them. He ignored my email. The installers even came to my house to try and put the solar up. We also told them that we were not purchasing solar from them. Along with the $*** debited from my account, after a week, I received a notice of a lien filed against my address and the owner of the home whose signature was forged on the paperwork for $***. The *** of the solar was supposedly $***.

ESP ESP has failed to complete our solar project according to the contract and they do not communicate with us for updates, we have to call them

ESP has failed to complete our solar project according to the contract and they do not communicate with us for updates, we have to call them. This project has been problematic from the get go. We signed a contract with ESP through KOTA 11/16 with an estimated project timeline 11/23/XXXX - X/14. Install didn't even begin until 2/14. We were told it would take a day to install the solar panels and it took 3 days. The crew left such a mess after the first day: shingle crumble was all over our front porch and side walkway. They also dropped and left large screws with sharp ends on our side walkway. We have a 5 year old who could have run out and stepped on them and cut herself. They also left trash and a long metal conduit laying on our plants. My husband and I had to clean up that mess. I complained about it to ESP and after the third day they were here to finish the solar panel setup they finally cleaned up but mind you, they got to our house so late in the day, it took them until 7:15 pm to finish, which I basically had to call the sales rep to say they had to stop by 7:30 for my daughter's bedtime, otherwise I think they would have been working later. So instead of 1 day it took 3 days which was not all their fault, they had their truck broken into the second day so the job was started late. The electrical panel upgrade was done on 3/11, which we had an Oakland City inspector review that day and approve( we have a sticker). Then another electrical person came out 3/17 to finish some electrical work and after that review, it was determined the electrical boxes for the solar system were installed incorrectly by the solar panel installers, so they had to come back 3/18 to move all of those solar boxes to right area by the electrical panel. Then the project was put on hold during the shelter in place order from mid-March to the beginning of May. We know this part is completely out of their hands, we are not complaining about this chunk of time. Our final inspection was 5/14 which we failed, but ESP never communicated this to us. After not hearing anything from ESP or KOTA for two weeks, I reached out to our sales rep at KOTA and I found out we failed inspection. It wasn't until the week before 6/10 that I heard from ESP that they were sending someone out to take photos or our setup and that the 3/11 inspection was supposed to have some corrections that were never made. It is now 6/26 and I had to call ESP on 6/24 to get an update and there was NO UPDATE. Our complaint is that it has taken so long to install and get this system up and running it's going on 6.5 months (I didn't count the 1.5 months for COVID-19, it would be 8 months with it). Our contract is based on a 90 day estimate, this is going way beyond that 90 days even without counting the COVID-19 shutdown. On top of the delay, their customer service and project management has been horrible. I would say 80% of the communication has been from me contacting the sales rep at KOTA or me calling ESP directly. To not update a customer on major updates such as a failed inspection is unacceptable. And the fact that it's been over a month since they knew that and they know it's because of needed corrections and to not plan for those corrections to be made is absolutely unacceptable. I also found out at the end of May that KOTA and ESP severed their working relationship after many years. I feel we are caught in the crossfire of this deteriorated relationship between the two companies and it's horrible customer service and unacceptable. At this point, we want them to finish the job by mid-July or we want them to come and take all the equipment off our house and refund the 16K we've already paid. We are also thinking about contacting a lawyer.
