Its me dr faisal khan, refference no 2YECKL.I have booked the flights from london to islamabad & return tickets.Now my mother in law is unwell and she is on death bed.I want to delay the flights of my family(wife & Kid).
The etihad office in islamabad is refusing to extend their flights, eventhough I am happy to pay for the change.
Even my traveling agent is refusing to change the dates.
I will be thankfull, if u help me on humanitarian basis.

My wheelchair got damaged on your flight
I flew on flight EY450 - Etihad Airways from ABU DHABI to SYDNEY on the 11th March 09. I use my own wheelchair to get around and when I got on the plane the crew put it in the hull of the plane.
When I arrived at Sydney airport I saw that my wheelchair had been damaged. I am very upset as I need to use it to get around whilst I am in Sydney on my honeymoon.
We fly back to England on the 1st April 09, where I will get it repaired. I would like to know if you would be willing to compensate me, as it was on your flight when it was damaged. I will have to send the wheelchair to Germany for repair so I will need to hire another one whilst mine is getting repaired.Which is somewhat of an inconvenience as mine is tailored for my disabilities.
I am sending you photos of the damaged to my wheelchair. In the photo you will see that the push arm is bent, I presume it must have been thrown or jammed against a heavy object.

Flight delayed over 24 hours due to insufficient fuel for flight
I had the misfortune to fly Etihad airways on the 29/01/09 to Kuala Lumpur from London Heathrow. The flight started well as we were on time and the aircraft was very modern. However we had insufficient fuel to reach Abu Dhabi so we were diverted to Al Ain approx 40 minutes flight away. After being held onboard for about 4 hours we were told to disembark and wait in the lounge- no refreshments were provided. We kept being promised a take off was imminent, as per videos on youtube see etihadflight for details. Come 8 am we were told to go back on the aircraft where basic refreshments were provided, refueling was done and we arrived in Abu Dhabi that afternoon about 12 hours late. The staff were useless and didnt know what was happening/ didnt care. We missed our onward connecting flight and were told our new onward flight would leave the following morning over 24 hours delay with appalling service and 1 proper meal. I would never fly Etihad again, their customer service department doesn't want to know.

I was on a flight that day also that was delayed due to fog closing the runway at Abu Dhabi.
Our plane wasn't carrying enough fuel to circle Abu Dhabi for 12 hours which is completely understandable and so it diverted to Al Ain. We sat on the ground there for what seemed like an age before returning to Abu Dhabi. I too was disrupted in getting back to London but it wasn't the airlines fault. I was taken care of by Etihad with hotel and meal costs. Inconvenient yes but not the airlines fault. I saw your youtube videos and I thought your "video evidence of the delay" in order to try and wangle an upgrade was laughable to the point it was almost embarassing.
Flight staff kissing on board
I was flying with Etihad last month, I was waiting around 2 and a half hours for a refreshment, so got up and went to the rear of the plain only to see two staff members full on kissing each other they were so embarrassed and asked if i wouldn't mention this to any thing. i couldn't hold it in for much longer, after reading about what happened to that poor family that got kicked off the flight.after flight crew made an error on there seating.

Etihad does not have a customer services department. They do not care at all about the welfare of their customers.
If something goes wrong you will never get any help from them.
So if you value your time and life - Dont fly with etihad.

I have found Etihad Airways attitude appalling in my experience aswell having suffered major delays and a flight diversion and their customer service and staff are an absolute joke. I am writing to you re: an experience my family and I had on flight, etihad airway ey 0612, we are a family of 4 with my wife’s nephew also traveling with us.
On saturday 28th february 2009 my family and I arrived to casablanca international airport at 6.30am to depart to australia. we went through the usual protocol, we arrived to where the passengers were boarding, handed our tickets to the ground crew,
This is where the problem started; we were given the wrong boarding passes without our knowledge. the lady at the boarding department gave us a pass from abu dhabi to australia. we made our way down to the plane. as we arrived into the plane we were given directions on were we were seated.
We made our way only to find that the seats were allocated to two other passengers and my wife was seated 13 isles away. I sat my two kids down aged 4 and 6 and made my way to the front of the plane to discus the problem. I raised the matter with one of the flight attendant only to be told that nothing can be done about it as the flight was full and return to my seat. I knew for a fact that there were 17 spare seats and five of them were side by side we got into a disagreement, she was rude and disrespectful to me and my wife, called my wife a dog and a number of other rude words. I reminded her over and over again that this is there mistake and it has to be rectified before we fly. I requested to speak to the captain at lease five times and was again rejected that privilege
The plane was delayed for over an hour and a half, we were told either we apologies to the flight attendant or we had to all leave the plane there was no other alternative
By then the other passengers were getting involved with rude comments to the staff about there behavior towards us. we were then told to leave. they removed our luggage left it on the runway sent us on our way. mind you it was around 9 degrees. no body from the entire etihad airway would help us or wanted to get involved.
I am requesting immediate action towards the flight crew and dismissal of soumia, flight crew chief. this whole matter was handled wrong and this should have never happened we should have never been told to leave the plane. once I arrive back to australia I will commence a law suite and approaching the current affair and what ever other television and radio station that wants to listen. too many other problems with etihad airway have gone on deaf ears, but not this time.

i support u etihad guest fully!instead of takin it out on the crew who have no idea how seating system works, deal with the ground staff.plus if u check in late, chances of getting seats together are next to nil.so be on time, early, and check your boarding passes before you board the plane!
I wish to lounge a complaint against the flight attendant, the poor handling of a simple matter by the flight attendant. In state of doing what is part of her job to fix a simple mistake that was caused by the airline she was shouting using an un appropriate words I think that was vary wrong and with such service I will not fligh with Etihad again, I have never came across an airline who ask a family to exit the plane at that time without fixing there mistake or giving them an alternative, I really hoop that this will reach someone who will take action.

as we read this email we cannot just judge the people on how you were treated on that flight. i suppose you didn't tell the whole story before you posted things here. did you or did you not gone wild on that flight. since you are not getting the seat that you want, how did you respond on the crew? i mean...there are no reasons why they will off load you if they didn't think that you're a threat to them. you must have said something that made them feel that you're not safe to fly with.
I feel for this family and think they should follow it up further beacause the way they were treated was disgraceful and embarrasing not to mention humiliating.

I brings this to your kind attention that i have booked a flight ticket on 5th september 2008 through online by paying from my credit card. But due to my plan changed, and promised by etihad that this ticket cannot be used any more as this is a promotion ticket, i canceled my ticket and requested to refund the money afther the required deduction. The ticket cancellation ref. No. [protected].
Etahad promised me that my money will be credited back into my credit card account in 22 to 30 working days. But as of today, it is overdue of 40 days but nothing was credited into my account from etihad. I have called call centre and logged complaint so many times, but each time staff giving a default reply of “email sent to the concerned division and please give us a call after 24 to 48 hrs”. But so many 24 hrs are passed.
I have been paying interest to bank for the amount which is still pending with etihad.
And today on 20 november 2008 when i called them back and they are replying that my request had been taken to refund the money again they are asking me to wait 22 to 30 working days. When i asked them why it is again to wait for 22 to 30 days ? They replied they have taken the day of my complaint as ticket refug request.
Then when i asked them that if i do not request to refund the money, what will etihad do ? They said etihad will not refund the money if we do not request.

My partner was a passenger on Etihad airways from Johannesburg to Hyderabad. He was due to make the return journey on the 26th of January 2013 but unfortunately died in Hyderabad.
We requested a refund for him and myself for the partly used ticket under the sad circumstances but the only response we have received so far is that the refund has to be made into a South African bank account. This does not make sense as payment was made by credit card and therefore refund should be made unto the same credit card used to make the purchase. Furthermore, I am not resident in South Africa and do not have a bank account there.
I explained this to Etihad South Africa - no response to date (Feb 20th 2013) and I complained directly to Etihad online complaints centre (March 12th 2013) - no response.
It seems to me that their intention was never to make the refund and their unresponsiveness to the valid issues raised confirms it. I will never use Etihad again and urge anyone to avoid them if possible - there are better UAE airlines - Qatar and of course Emirates who have always provided sterling service.

I agree: travellers never fly Etihad.
They owe me a refund for more than 500USD for a 10days delay of my luggage and they never refunded a single penny.
This airline company has no reliability at all.
It was my first bad experiences with Etihad. I never heard before and surprised me that carrier can cancel the whole trip without customer consent. As everybody mentioned the Customer service is horrible, they can not resolve the issues. I booked the flight by Priceline and I missed the flight though it was not my fault because flight left earlier than scheduled. They asked my to pay to change the flight and I was ready to pay for it. Suddenly, I got an email that my flight has been cancelled due to no show. I called the Priceline customer service and they asked me to rebooked the flight with change fees $600 each ticket and I was ready to pay it. But they tried to rebook but unable to do it because of cancelation. When I called customer service of Etihad Airline they asked me to rebook with double price.
Never think to go with Etihad and tell others not to go with them. Please stay away for this kind of the carrier.

I have booked ticket for may family, then later on I changed the return date and paid extra, in total I paid close to $4K, which a lot of money.
On travel date 4/5 EY318 from Riyadh, they denied us check in claiming that I did not pay for changing the booking, which is not true. After hours with Etihad support, they said that yes the payment is confirmed. However, it was too late, and they will not help us with alternative flights. I paid a lot of money and Etihad refuse to help. I called my bank and they told me Etihad was holding back the payment. Etihad also saying that it is not refundable ticket, so tough!.
I need to escalate to the right management level and I want my money back. Pleas help.
I don’t think Etihad Airways are human beings who care about serving people and ensuring that there is fairness, transparency and good will amongst your clients. For me to be sending 15 emailsis just wrong. I have contacted the Travel Agent who advised me that the refund will only come to (South African Rand) R3 826. If I recall i paid (South African Rand)R14 998 for 2 tickets. I have a bad experience with Etihad. I booked tickets 2 days ago and before proceeding to booking confirmation I get advertise that cancel fee and change fee is Nil as plans do change for many people. However today when I went to change my reservation, my call got diverted to some centre.Upon asking regarding my change in date, they mentioned 135 GBP change fee per person + difference in amount for fare shall be payable. After lot of argument regarding this change fee which of course never told to me before nor I got any reference in policy, I got angry and asked them to cancel the ticket. But I got surprised they said the ticket is non-refundable and will be forfeited if cancelled. Hence I don't have choice but to go for change and pay the fee, but again when I received the new ticket there is change in ticket price than the additional amount I am supposed to pay. Again I called them and asked why this difference, for which they said it's a mistake but we will deduct whatever I am told at the time of booking... I am waiting for further surprises..

I am ashok ullattil having booking reference zdzu6v and ticket no:607-[protected] travelling from kuwait to calicut on 28 september 2008 and calicut to kuwait on 04 oct 2008. While going from kuwait there was 5 minute delay for ethihad flight ey304 and reached abudhabi airport at 22.50. At abudhabi airport we the passengers from kuwait reached the boarding gate for flight ey250 to calicut. We were denied the boarding saying our flight was delayed and could not locate the luggage. This caused me heavy financial losses since my one day leave without pay kd 50 and the ticket for the same day which I paid to the ethihad airline was kd 184.650. The next day ticket for other airlines was available at lower cost kd120 only. I was going for a real estate business, due to delay which from which I lost around kd 500. Hence I request the airline to pay my total financial losses in kuwait dinars 750.000

Bumping customers
This is to inform all travelers, that etihad airways has the worse, customer service. They bumped my family travels and gave it to someone else in pakistan, and they are charging me almost $ 11, 00 us dollars for something l am not suppose to pay. For an airline that has WON so many awards, in such a quick time and being such a young airline as it commemced operations in 2003...it seems some what unfair.
This airlines product and service is one, that is incomparable to that of other airlines for its incredible hospitality in todays tough world of the so called 'Low Cost Era'...(CLARIFY - - -In no way is that incinuating Etihad Airways to be 'Low-Cost').
I have flown many many many airlines into all 4 corners of the world, and by far...some how... Etihad will and shall remain and airline I cannot fault in anyway what so ever, and unfortunatley beats any other arab and western airline on service and Product by incredible distance.
I flew with them from Johannesburg to Manchester and i was supposed to be upgraded with my 'Etihad Guest' miles, however the system at Johannesburg Airport deleted the booking and I ended up traveling economy. When I landed in Abu Dhabi I was greated off the aicraft by a pleasant Etihad staff member, who could not appologise enough. She took me and my family and gave us first class lounge access, our miles refunded, and a free upgrade for our next trip abroad.
Clearly people have different experiences, but i feel it is upto the Traveller to decide for THEMSELVES who they fly.

Luggage mishandling
I had booked a ticket for my son from Abu Dhabi - Cochin - Abu Dhabi through EY Ticket # 607 [protected]. My Son traveled to Cochin by Flight # EY280 on 28/06/2008 as Un accompanied Minor UM10. There was 2 luggages with him of which one luggage sent through citi terminal and hand luggage sent through check in counter as the hand luggage was not allowed due to un accompanied minor. When the flight arrived in Cochin it was noticed that the hand luggage which was sent through the Check in counter ( Tag # 7648709 ) was not reached in Cochin. My son was there in the air port almost 2 hours between 4 am to 6 am as the officials were searching for the luggage with him. His relatives were waiting outside without information about him and they were really worried. Upon checking with Abu Dhabi Etihad office on 29/06/08 morning we came to know that the luggage was not sent to cochin on 28/06/2008 and they confirmed that the luggage will be sent through Etihad Flight on 29/06/2008. I regret to inform the concerned officials that no body from Eithad office had called me regarding the same as it was a mistake happened by the luggage handling office. I need to know how we can collect the luggage which will be sent on 29/06/2008 as our home town is almost 300 Kilometers away from the cochin Air port and who will pay the transportation charges. We expect a better service from Etihad as we are purely depending on Airlines when we are sending our children un accompanied. I expect to receive a reply soon from the concerned in this regard.

i have travelled with this poor quality Etihad airway on 6th Nov 2011 and till now i am looking for my luggage. where did it go?
etihad airways has the worst customer service you can ever find, there is no guarantee that your baggage is safe with them the only reason we commute with this airways is they are cheap when compare to others. so my request with all the future commuters is not to carry any valuables in your main baggage while travelling with ETIHAD AIRWAYS, or else you will land yourself in a helpless situation which i have experienced while travelling from dublin to hyderabad. on 9th october 2010. they missed to transfer my baggage at abu dhabi airport which was my connecting destination for hyderabad flight and after waiting for almost three hours at collection point they never bothered to inform me about my baggage and only after the conveyor belt stopped i went to inquire, one of their executives who was literally standing 5 feet away from the baggage collection point had the list of passengers who missed their baggage at abu dhabi, enjoying by looking at the troubled passengers. one more thing never give your passport to any of the staff of ETIHAD AIRWAYS at their complaints counter or else only god will help you coz they even swapped my passport with another lady named mamta at their hyderabad counter and i'm fortunate that god helped me and i realised intime and managed to catch her at the exit door.

I flew from Islamabad to sfo on 19 jan 2009. I had 3 bag for the third bag I paid Rs9800 which is equall to US$125. My three bag was booked all the way to SFO last destination.When I came to JFK the immigration took a lot of time so I missed my connected flight then I went to United tkt counter to catch the another flight to SFO. All three bags were with me when the United tkt agent saw me with three bags she said I amgona chage you for the third bag. I said I already paid in Islamabad also I showed my receit but she said no. Double charging!
I had paid charges of 209.05 a$ (For excess weight) to etihad air lines in cairo air port on 30/12/2007 with my master card. But when checking my bill, I found that they charged me with double the amount. The same payment came in two lines with the same amount of 209.05a$.

I have a list of complaints from my recent experience as a business class client.
I have traveled with Etihad in the month of Feb and paid 1600+ USD. After 6months they have charged again on my credit card and there is no proper response from the customer care. How can Airways store user credit card information and charge after 6months. If I didn't check my transactions I may have lost my hard earned money.
I applied for visa for Abu Dhabi. On 9th July for 48 hours transit visa. . And I check online and there I see this msg.

I purchased a through flight from Melbourne, Australia to Berlin, Germany. Due to late arrival in Brussels I and around 5 other passengers were too late to board the connecting flight. Etihad then said I had to purchase a new ticket. This connecting ticket cost over $1000 and the other passengers were offered the connecting flight for no charge.
The transaction online failed .
I did not receive any emails confirmation
Nor any ticket number .
Still I was charged the ticket fare .
When contacting the customer service ,
They say they don't keep track of their
emails ...
