Got a call from them today
Got a call from them today. Called back 'cause I didn't know the number and was at work. Asked who it was and what she wanted and the lady was super rude. She asked for the last 4 digits of my hubby's social. I don't give that out easy. Told her I was at work and she'd need to call my hubby. She said rudely that this is the number they had on file. Asked her to tell me what it was about, she said she couldn't do that until she verified the last 4 digits of my hubby's social. I said no and told her she was super rude and she needed to call him. She tried to argue with me. Not a good way to do biz... Maybe she needs to be retrained and given some classes on customer service and how to manage her attitude. Talked to a second lady a few mins later and she was way nicer.
I got a call from a local number and a guy answered
I got a call from a local number and a guy answered. He didn't speak clearly and asked if he was talking to me. Then he asked for my address and said I needed to verify my identity by giving the last 4 digits of my social security number. I said no way, I'm not giving that out over the phone. He said they already had it and needed to verify it. I said I don't verify my social security number over the phone, especially when I didn't initiate the call. He said he already knew my full social security number and gave me the starting and ending numbers. I said those were correct and that was enough verification. He said he couldn't continue the conversation unless I gave the last 4 digits. I said we were at an impasse and he could send the letter or not, I didn't care.
This company is so rude!
This company is so rude! I just got a call from some guy named Jeremy who was super mean to me the whole time. He would ask me stuff and when I answered he would be like "Do you even know how to talk?" He never told me who he was calling from even though I asked him a bunch of times. He said I could look them up on the ComplaintsBoard.com but I told him that doesn't mean anything because scammers can be on there too. Then he hung up on me! I'm glad I didn't tell them anything else after reading the other reviews on here. They were mean right from the start. I blocked their number and if you get a call from them, be careful. They don't seem like a real company and they're not good at being nice to people. And if they're reading this, I don't care about your scare tactics. Your guy hung up on me and didn't even get what he wanted. Unless you're really scammers!
Everest Receivables called me while I was with my coworkers in a car
Everest Receivables called me while I was with my coworkers in a car. I told the caller it wasn't a good time, but he was rude and didn't believe me. He said I had to talk to him and fix the problem tonight. He talked over me and yelled. I said I was happy to talk, but not in a private place. He asked why I answered if it wasn't a good time. I answered because the caller ID was local and I have kids who drive. We started yelling and a manager came on the phone. He was nice at first, but then asked how much I could pay. He came back with a higher amount and asked if $9 was a big deal. It is to a single mom like me. He said I had to post date a payment, but I said no. He harassed me and asked why I wouldn't do it tonight. I've never been treated like this before. When the call ended, I was upset in front of my coworkers. This is not okay. I'm not dishonest, just a single parent struggling after a divorce.

We spoke to Maureen E who is the nicest most sweetest lady I have ever spoken to. I wish more people were like her. She was extremely helpful. I love that with us talking to her so early in the morning she made mine and my husbands whole day. As much as I hope to not have to talk to another debt collector, if I ever do I hope it is someone like her

I received a call from them this morning
I received a call from them this morning. They had me verify my address for a document they were going to send. Then wanted me to verify the last 4 of my ssn. I told them I would not verify that until they told me who the original creditor was. They said they couldn't do that so I told them "I have verified my address so just send me whatever document you have." The woman hung up on me.

These people are rude and condescending
These people are rude and condescending. They have been harassing me and they have the wrong phone number. I'm not the person they're looking for and I keep getting calls even though I explain every single time I'm not even related to such person they're asking for. 4-5 calls per week is more than enough. I have asked to be taken off that phone number list and it seems like they never do what's requested.
These people seem like something not right
These people seem like something not right...they are not the nicest people if you are not giving them what they want...she wanted me to give her my bank account information and date it out for 2 weeks when I simply told her that I didn't know if my money would be in by then and I didn't want to take the opportunity of my bank being in the negative...she Got super mad...and I tried to at the end of our call apologize and let her know Jesus loves her and that He saves and she said no comment and hung up on me...i hope she calls back...i will preach more Jesus to her...but she hung up on me..

Today I received a call from a woman named Donna, she wanted me to verify the last 4 digits I wouldn't she then said well I can give you the first 5 just give me the last 4 still I wouldn't. I told her to send me the Bill and then I would take care of it. She said no I cant do that. I preceded to tell this women that I am out of a job because of covid 19 and that's when things took a turn she asked me if I have received the stimulus money and I answered her with a no which she again didn't like. I called back and spoke to a "night shift" manage Rhonda R who claims she will listen to the call. Who knows if she will. All I wanted was a bill since it has been sold to a 3rd party. Please just send me a statement to the address you have on file and retrain DONNA! I AM ONLY PROVIDING A 1 star because I have to if I didn't have to they would get a zero. My next complaint is going to the FTC

I received a call from this company yesterday, spoke to a woman named Katie C. First and foremost, regardless of the nature of the call, Katie was extremely nice from beginning of call, all the way to the end. After verifying all of my information with her and finding out she was a debt collector, I knew exactly what it was for. I was not rude, but honest about my current situation which was tough prior to the current pandemic we are going through. Since COVID-19, my situation has worsened. Katie asked if I was able to take care of the balance in full and I immediately told her no. She then got some more information from me and put me on hold. She cam back with 2 options, 1 was a reduced option in a lump sum to mark it paid in full and close the account, the other was a 3-month payment plan for the full balance. Asked Katie if she would please hold while I talked with my husband. She said yes and waited patiently for about 2-3 minutes while I talked to him. She then had no problem also speaking with him and answering his questions to ease our minds that this was not a scam. She completely understood and even gave us the info to look on this website. After a few more times on hold (again patiently and super polite when I asked) we finally decided we would make the payment. She took all information giving me all information I asked for and then transferred me to the final department to confirm all information and process my payment. At the end of the day, a lot of people come on here and give bad reviews because the person they spoke to was rude or something but most likely they were rude to them from the beginning of the phone call because they were getting a call from a debt collector. I needed to make sure that I came on here to review that because I was not rude to her, she was not rude to me. We both understood why the call was coming in and both wanted to find a way to make them stop. So Katie C. thank you for you patience with me and for answering all of our questions. It was an experience I'm glad is over and don't ever want to do again (paying a debt collector I mean), but happy that I dealt with such a nice person, given the circumstances.

This company has called 2 family members to get ahold of, but have never contacted me directly. I have never registered these other numbers as my own, so I have no idea how or why they are using them. They want me to give my last 4 of social security before they will discuss anything. Which I will not do. I have asked them twice to mail me whatever "important paperwork" they are talking about, but nothing has been sent to me.

We continue to get harrising phone calls from [protected]
We continue to get harrising phone calls from [protected]. We when look up the number it is Everest and they don't identify themselves and say where they are calling from. They continuously call the house phone and my wifes cell phone and they still don't identify themselves what company they are from. What type of place does that? It's very irritating and we want it to stop. They mention my wife by name but so not mention what company they are from and why they are calling. It sounds like a scam and we want it to stop.
This company keeps calling my place of employment requesting my address
This company keeps calling my place of employment requesting my address. When I called them back they already had both my personal phone number as well as my home address. I told them that I could not discuss the matter at work and if they wish to speak with me they need to call my personal number after 5pm. She kept pushing me for more info even after I said that I could not talk about this at work. Calling my place of employment fishing for information is unacceptable! If they continue to do so I will be contacting an attorney.

The employee at Everest Receivables Management Collection agency was inappropriately rude in all manners of speaking
The employee at Everest Receivables Management Collection agency was inappropriately rude in all manners of speaking. Upon attempting to negotiate a settlement, he would laugh, harass my concerns, and refused any attempt to resolve the balance. At the end, he was unwilling to communicate further and said he would return to the creditor to ask for the entire amount. I told him I had been unable to work due to the pandemic situation and have documentation to back that up. I was willing to settle for an amount, that he said he would be able to take to his supervisors, but would not.

On September 25 I signed a Settlement in full agreement with Everest Financial
On September 25 I signed a Settlement in full agreement with Everest Financial. They took payment in full the same day which I can verify with my bank statement. According to their agreement which I can also attach I should have received a paid letter so this collection can be removed from my credit report. The debt still shows I owe 100% on my credit reports which is inaccurate. It has been over three months with no letter or email. I reached out to Everest via their contact us option on their website in early November and never received any reply. I also have a screenshot of their website saying my payment was successful on September 25.

My husband and I received vague phone calls regarding an alleged debt collection
My husband and I received vague phone calls regarding an alleged debt collection. The information provided was vague, I owe no collections per my credit report. I asked for information in writing and was told something along the lines of "by the time you receive the letter it may be too late." They claim that I made payments on this alleged debt but then ceased payments after a year (beginning in 2018), but I never made such a purchase or made said payments. The employee was rude and aggressive, making comments accusing me of hiding something. He was pushy and insisted we "make a resolution" as though I should pay for something I do not owe. They claimed I received emails with information that I did not receive.

I had a bad debt with ***
I had a bad debt with ***. My delinquent account ended up going to Everest Receivable Services. I made payment arrangements with them & paid my bad debt off in full for *** in April. I was told by the representative that my credit report would be updated to reflect that I had paid the bad debt within a few months. A few months passed & this bad debt was still being reported as delinquent and unpaid to all 3 credit agencies. I contacted Everest again & I was then told that I would have to have the bad debt removed myself. I have been trying for over a year to get this bad debt removed or updated on my credit reports for over a year and I have been unsuccessful. I contacted *** for assistance to get the item updated as paid with the credit agencies & the rep told me that Everest would have to update the debt as paid with the credit agencies because they are the company that I paid my money to.

These people called and left a message for me at work (A government agency, to a number that I don't give out to anyone, so I'm not sure how they even got it). When I called them back, they told me I owed money for an old credit card account that is supposed to be paid by my ex husband, and as far as I can tell, has been paid as agreed. He got extremely aggressive and demanded that I tell him if I have the money available. I told him that I am not answering any questions about my finances until I see that this is a legitimate claim, and asked for a letter, or a bill, or something to that effect. His response was a simple, "We're not going to do that. Do you have the money or not?" I have a legal right to see that this is legitimate, and need something in writing to take to court if my ex is not, in fact, paying this bill. I asked several times for something in writing, and the guy got super angry, demanded several times to know how much money was currently in my bank account, and hung up on me.

I had a previous arrangement in place to make payments on a medical debt and I was paying every month per the agreement I had with them prior to COVID-19. I called prior to my payment being due at the beginning of April and explained to them that I was out of work until further notice without pay and wasn't receiving unemployment yet and asked if there was something I could do in terms of payments. I have spoken with them twice this month and the initial representatives I spoke to were understanding and helpful but the agents they transferred me to were very rude, demeaning and unhelpful. They made comments such as "Well you can go ahead and just pay us with your stimulus check since it's meant to go back into the economy anyway" (although I have not received a stimulus check as of date), "you should have known how to budget your money better" and "well this isn't going to be good for you, we'll cancel the scheduled payment but don't expect a payment arrangement to be set up for you in the future". I wasnt asking to stop payments or in no shape or form unwilling to pay, I simply asked for more time because I would not be receiving my unemployment payment until after the payment date. They made a troubling situation far more stressful and had little interest in hearing how the current circumstances are affecting me financially.

Someone has repeatedly called my phone, usually during work hours over the past week.
Someone has called my phone several times over the last week, typically when I am working. I answered today. They asked to confirm J B's address without any pleasantries. The background noise was loud. I inquired about the nature of the call; they mentioned a private document for JB. I clarified which JB they sought. They specified JEB and repeated the address query. I informed them I'm his daughter and they shouldn't call me. They mentioned having multiple numbers for him. I agreed to pass on their contact to JB, noting down the number. A search revealed it belonged to Everest Receivable Services, though the caller hadn't identified their company affiliation. They were seeking my father's address, and the call felt rude. I'm unaware of my father's debts, but I shouldn't receive such calls or be treated rudely. Online research led me to a site with numerous complaints about the company's unprofessional conduct.

I have received multiple calls from stating they are from a collection agency and that I need to verify my social security # & home address. When I research this phone# it comes up as a *** cell number. The person that called from this cell# asked that I call . I then called this number and it stated the company name as Everest Receivable Services. I asked to speak to Chris G and was put on hold for about 5 minutes which made it seem even more suspicious to me and I decided to hang up and do some more research. Messages have been left from Chris G, Rhonda R and some other name that I could not make out. This information should not be the first thing someone ask when a call is made especially when they state that unless you provide them with these details they cannot give you any information, especially with all the scams going on now a days. I have checked my credit report and do not see anything outstanding that has not been settled or is already with a consolidation Company. In researching this company, it seems they purchase old debt at cents on the dollar and then call you to harass you to pay them. I spoke to a lawyer stated I would need to see the original contract/ agreement and if there is such a legitamate agreement who was the agreement made with originally. I was also informed that I should also check to ensure that it was in fact my signature. I don't appreciate being harassed by being asked my personal information. I have received calls from scammers stating they are from the IRS as well. This is not acceptable and I that is why they Telephone Consumer Protection Act was created.

David B**** called my parents home on 9/1 at around 3:45 PM
David B called my parents home on 9/1 at around 3:45 PM. I have not lived there for approximately 25 years and he started asking questions and demanding information about me. He really scared my elderly parents. My mom took his name and number and told him she would have me call him back. She immediately called me at work and I immediately called back to and asked for David B. I was transferred to a woman who was extremely rude. I asked her to tell me what this call was regarding. She said she could not do that until she verified the last 4 digits of my social. She told me that she had a document in her office but that she couldn't talk to me about it unless I gave her my SS#. I told her that I was uncomfortable giving her my SS# over the phone when I didn't know who was calling and what they wanted. She tells me that she already has all of my information but she can't work to resolve it with me unless I give her my SS#. She started getting louder, more argumentative and accusatory the more we talked. I told her that I didn't appreciate her tone and that my name is actually *** and that I do not believe I owe anyone money. The discussion escalated from there. She told me again and again that she needed my SS#. Again, I tell her that I am not going to share my SS# via the phone. I tell her to just please send me the letter and I will address it after I receive more details. She calls me "***" in a condescending voice. Again, I tell her that I do not appreciate her tone. I asked her who she was collecting for because (again) to my knowledge I do not owe anyone any money because I pay my bills on time. She starts yelling at me. She says that she will just note that I have no intention of paying what I owe. I told her that is not what I said. I just need more information. I asked her to just send me the letter and she just hung up.

I've been called by this company on two several occasions and both times they reached me they have requested personal information from me. Both times they were EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. The first time I told them I would not give any information, the second I told them to send me something in writing so I could verify and then start communication. Since COVID-19 many of my accounts that were in perfect standing went to collections so I am faced with this unfortunate reality. I know information of my debts can be purchased so I not just going to start talking to people because they have my account information. Every time I would request information from them I would be ignored, and they would continue to push for private information. You would think if they wanted to establish comminication they would be helpful. After explaining to them I needed something in writing numerous times they then claimed they already had. How could they if they had called me previously to ask for my address? I told them again, send me something and I would make contact with the company if legit. Their response was "I hear that all the time". So they DEMAND my personal information by phone and yet they are rude when asked for theirs? Finally the last person I spoke to said "Okay, I'll will just notify x creditor that you are unwilling to settle this matter". I called back to get their business address information, I was hung up on several times after someone finally gave it to me. With my loss of income due to the COVID-19 shutdowns, I am facing the possibility or losing my apartment, car, credit and ability to provide for my family. These practices are disrespectful and the representatives are rude. I do not want them to contact me or anyone associated with me. If they are able to provide the information I need from them via correspondence and it is legit then I am willing to hear their options. I am tens of thousands of dollars behind so even then I don't see how that might even help at this time.

I'm not the person they're looking for and I keep getting calls even though I explain every single time I'm not even related to such person they're asking for. 4-5 calls per week is more than enough. I have asked to be taken off that phone number list and it seems like they never do what's requested.
