I could not have asked for a better plan, implementation, and follow up. I spoke with several waterproofing companies and Exterior Waterproofing was the only company that put together a plan to mitigate the problem outside of the house instead of collecting and pumping it once it got in. The crew was quick, efficient, and cleaned everything up.

So thankful I finally connected with Phillip Mendoza, after having numerous foundation companies look at my water problem. He is knowledgeable, reasonable and his lead man, Mark and crew get it done! They are in and out and clean up well.
Warning, there are many companies out there that are not reputable, over priced, recommend unnecessary services.

Phillip and his crew did a great job. He gave us a very clear understanding of the best way to solve our water problems. He also had excellent suggestions on how we could get effective waterproofing, but also save money. His communication with us throughout the job was great- sending us photos and explaining the progress of the work. I highly recommend Exterior Waterproofing.

Several neighbors highly recommended Phillip's company to help us with a potential drainage problem. He answered when I called and spent time on the phone to understand our situation. He then came out to the house to evaluate. His assessment was that no action was needed, which gave us peace of mind. This was all at NO CHARGE. Phillip is very personable and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend his services.

Philip Mendoza, his lead man Mark and crew just finished water proofing the basement of our 1940 bungalow. They did more work than originally contracted at no extra expense. They connected the trenching inside the perimeter walls and connected the downspouts from the exterior into a big drain that then connects at the back of the lot. They repaired messy concrete that they had not created. Periodically throughout the project they sent video updates. This is a six star business!

We purchased a house that had an array of issues in the basement. In reaching out to a handful of companies for estimates, it became evident that there were different approaches to solving our problems. This could have been a huge headache, but Phillip walked us through a comprehensive solution that his crew executed on our tight (and hectic) schedule. Exterior Waterproofing went over and above to give us peace of mind while treating our new home with respect. They also coordinated directly with our other contractors to ensure the handoff was seamless. I highly recommend Exterior Waterproofing.

PEACE OF MIND! That is what my family and I have now after Phillip and his crew have waterproofed our home. After a great deal of research and multiple estimates from different companies, Phillip's company was the ONLY one is Birmingham who could provide BOTH an interior and exterior solution.

After three other bids to waterproof my basement I was advised by two different contractors to contact Phillip at Exterior Waterproofing. I'm so glad I did! He not only beat their prices by several thousand dollars (one by $11,000 from an outrageous bid) but he was the most informative when we first met. I knew he had the experience and knowledge that I was looking for. His workers are top-notch as well. They arrived before 8 in the morning ready to work.It was a large crew who were very polite and professional. This was not an easy project, but they got it done in two days! Phillip M and his team at Exterior Waterproofing, LLC are the best in this region. The level of detail and quality of their work exceeded my expectations. I started out by using a different company and had a system installed that did not meet my needs.

Phillip helped me every step of the way and I could not have remediated the problem without his expertise. Working with true experts makes a big impact on your project and when it comes to this type of work, my advice is to hire only the best because your home is an investment.

Also, Phillip's no pressure no nonsense approach to sales stands in complete contrast to his competitors. I enjoyed working with him and his team. And love the results of his work more than I would have expected.

Phillip and his lead man, Mark, were professional from start to finish. Ahead of the project starting, they came out and educated me and my wife about various solutions to our drainage issue and then provided a very detailed scope of work. Once work began, they communicated daily with pictures and videos of the progress being made. Once complete, they cleaned up as if their work crew had never even been there! Our project comprised of installing ~500 ft of french-drains, ~250ft of downspout drainage, and a custom solution to tie into the underground storm drain. In addition, they cleaned up a 1,000 sq ft crawlspace and installed a sumppup that ties into the downspout drain line. All of this was done in 5 days and they stayed within budget -- a rarity!

Phillip and his lead man, Mark, were extremely professional and I would recommend them to anyone who needs moisture issues addressed in their basements. We were considering other companies, but ultimately went with Exterior Waterproofing for several reasons: (1) the price was 1/2 that of competitors and included more; (2) during the pandemic, Phillip was the first to mention that being a consideration (masking/limiting in-person contact), rather than me insisting; and (3) I met Mark, who would be doing the work, at the time of the formal quote, rather than a salesman, so I knew what I was getting into. In the end, the project was done well,
in half the estimated time, and they left our basement spotless. We were extremely pleased with their business and would recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I own an older home (90+ years old) with a cellar that presented a unique set of issues. I had a number of companies provide me with estimates, but Phillip and Mark were the only ones to give a scope of work that was considerate of both my budget and my goals. As for the work itself, Mark and his crew could not have done a better job, and they absolutely left the space better than they found it. They showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and (most importantly) respected our home by cleaning up after themselves both during and after the project. I even received photo/video updates from Phillip every day. I told Phillip when we first spoke that I was looking for someone I could trust to handle this project the right way, and these guys absolutely validated that trust. I cannot recommend them enough.

Phillip M came to my home 2 months ago and gave me an estimate for a water leak in my basement due to an unused 2 inch PVC pipe through the block wall to the higher than basement backyard. I accepted with a "3 week lead time". It turned into 2 months but I am glad I waited. Mark and his crew came out and took care of my issue.

I want to say I was impressed with Mark and his crew. They knew what they were doing and seemed to help each other as needed. I did not understand all of the techniques, but enough to know they all knew what the other was doing or needed. I doubt that I will have water issues again. I am writing this today after Mark and his crew were here this morning. Time will tell, until it rains hard again, but again I think my issue is taken care of.

Phillip and his crew were wonderful! I talked with several companies about putting a drainage system in my basement - the bid from Exterior Waterproofing was by far the best. Phillip, the company's owner, took the time to explain why a drainage system was the best option for my situation, and answered all my questions. The guys on the crew did a great job and Philip made sure the job met his standards. In the month since the work was done, we have had several severe thunderstorms, and the basement has stayed completely dry...and the pump is definitely working. I decided to get the battery back up system - it is pretty cool to be able to track how much water is being pumped away from my house. Exterior Waterproofing was recommended to me by several co-workers, and I have now recommended them to several neighbors. Thank you for the great work!
