violation of dnc registry
Almost 2 years ago accepted 2 videos as a trial offer from them. Notified customer service we did not wish to purchase additional videos. Two months later the solicitations started--on our cell phone no less. Usually starting around 8 in the morning and they called around 5 times a day from 3 different numbers. I complained and the calls stopped for over a year. Last month, they started calling the cell again from 3 different numbers several times a day. I renewed my Do Not Call registry in January and it is now March. It is well past the period of time where we are considered by DNC to have a business relationship due to receiving those sample videos. My wife and I have both answered their calls and tried to tell the reps "Stop calling this number" and we have both been hung up on in mid-sentence. I called Customer Svc. today and was told we would receive no more calls; and a half-hour later we got yet another call from them. There will be no more family-friendly dialogue from me to them. My polite bone is now broken.

cold call
Had two of these calls now.
A cold call asking to speak to 'the lady of the house' and a learnt script, playing on the fact that parents might be concerned about too many films being unsuitable for children but then trying to sell two films.
When I tried to respond the woman making the call rudely talked over me without listening to anything I had to say even though I wasn't trying to be rude - only to say that I didn't want to buy the films but agreed that I was concerned about my children watching unsuitable things.
She spoke over me several times rigidly sticking to her script and I ended up with the impression that the cause was just a front for selling films and it wasn't a genuine campaign to protect children from unsuitable content, just a marketing gimmick.

If this is the company "Feature Films for Families" it is a legitimate company. I'm sorry they had a rude person calling when you were contacted.
I bought their films for years. They were based out of Utah in the U.S. and I bought good quality video films from them. I actually still own every film they had available at the time (around 1988 through 1995). But my kids grew up and I don't buy from them anymore.
telemarketer harassing my 80 year old mother
My 80 year old mother is still working - she is a teacher at a pre-school (after retiring from an elementary school teaching career). She bought one film - The Velveteen Rabbit - from this organization some time back. Well, she is being harassed with calls from a telemarketer named John. She has told this caller several times now that she does not want any more of their products, and she does not want to be called at home any more. She has specifically asked to be removed from their call list. This guy John still keeps calling her regularly, and often begins the calls now with "now I know that you are upset with me".
I have instructed my mom to simply hang up on him from now on without saying a word, but I do not think that will stop him from calling.
I would strongly recommend against buying anything from this company. I don't care how great their products are.
Based on everything I've read online about this company, I cannot believe they are still in business. I would think they would be getting fined left and right for violations of the do not call law. I guess nobody is pursing that angle, but I sure will.

My mother had ordered movies about 10 years ago. She ordered them for my siblings and I and we enjoyed most. some are still in the package because they just weren't interesting enough to bother watching. It was way too much hassle to even return them for exchange. every year since then she has gotten phone calls even when she would answer the phone and tell them we are not interested anymore they would call back. She told them she would like to be removed every single conversation. They would call at few times a year and they finally only call once a year now. Odd thing is we moved and they know our phone number but not our address thankfully. She has since had a stroke and can't even remember her address most times. She has told them this and they insisted on trying to sell her things just today. What type of company that promotes having morals and family oriented would try and sell someone with a brain injury anything? We have enjoyed their product in the past but enough is enough stop calling people that don't want to be called. Stop calling people that haven't bought anything for over 5+years. Beating a dead horse will not get it to drink, yet trying to convince people to buy your product after told no is just what this company does.
Feature Films for Families is a great company that does what it can to ensure customers are treated with the utmost respect. All requests to be canceled or taken off of the calling list are COMPLETED HONORED. Also as a company FFFF records and monitors employees interactions with customers on a daily basis. Employees found disrespecting customers or doing inappropriate things on the phone are dealt with immediately. Of course the company cannot catch all problems but they do what they can to minimize the number of issues. As for the “recording” spoke about, Feature Films does use a recorded message to communicate with its customers, however a live employee is always on the phone with each customer. The reason some employees use the recording systems is because with a prerecorded message management is able to control what is being said to each customer. If an employee is having a bad day, not feeling well or even if they have speech impediments or heavy accents, the program still allows for customers to get the same clear and concise message each time. Feature Films for Families truly is a great company that provides a needed service to communities across the country. Biased statements like these from a disgruntled former employee should not sway anyone on the good this company is doing for our nation!
I have worked for this company and can tell you it really is a good company. FYI, it is *not* affiliated with any religion. If you simply tell them 'no', they won't keep calling every day. Some customers simply say "she's not here", etc and thus the return calls. The atmosphere in the company is positive and they really are passionate about getting positive entertainment out there for families. If you aren't happy with the calls, you should call their customer service @ [protected]. They are happy to know what the customer's thoughts/opinions are so that they can change if needed.
My two cents
telephone harassment
I have had it with the telemarketing practices of Feature Films for Families. I used to think this company was a good idea and now I am on a mission to tell everyone I know never to get involved with them. I have been called on every day of the week and at all hours of the day and evening. The male who calls our home will not even let you speak and tell him you are not interested in the films any more. He just keeps on with his spiel. I have just had to hang up on him any more. I have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, etc. to no avail. If the telemarketing practices of this company are any indication of their true motive - making money, they company has lost all value in my view.

I am convinced this is a "recording" ... it is very good at responding to key words that you say, but you will notice that he repeats himself and starts over when he gets "confused" ... try saying something that just isn't what they would have programmed for and see what happens.
Family Feature Films is an abomination. The worst ever. Three to four calls per week, week in week out. They hang up if you try to tell them to stop. They pretend not to hear you if complain. They just keep calling. They somehow beleive that is they persist you are going to buy their product. How stupid.
Let's get the thousands of pissed off people together and not only stop them but punish them financially for their harrassment.
Any ideas?
I too have had many harassing phone calls, the most recent about 20 minutes ago. When I tried to tell the caller that my family has made numerous requests to have our phone number erased from their database, the caller hung up on me. It appears the company is connected with a church based in Utah and maybe this is how some of their missionaries spend their 2 year commitment.
Lucky for me, I just found out my phone service now includes selective call reject and I can assure you this group's number will be the first one programed in.
This happened to me a few months ago with a similar company called Kids First. They claimed to be a kid friendly film company, etc.. and then they harrassed me with phone calls at all hours of the day. I filed a complaint as well and after about a month it finally stopped.
Just yesterday, this Feature Family Films started calling out of no where and now I feel like I'm living the nightmare all over again.
I filed another complaint and I hope it has the same results as last time.
Thank you for sharing!
harassing calls
UPDATE!

Received a call back from Matt Cooper from FFFF apologizing and promising to remove my number from their list.
FTC will move on them if more people register complaints! $1, 000 fine for every violation where they call you after you have told them to stop! These practices can put them out of business! I've done the legwork, now make the phone calls! Join me in stopping the harassment!

I like the films they provide, I think what they are trying to do is important BUT I HATE their phone tactics. I feel like I am talking to a robot not a real person who listens to me.
harassing calls
My wife made the mistake of purchasing VHS tapes from them 15 years ago. For the last several months "Jessie" continues to call my new unlisted number to wake me up despite my repeated requests for him to stop. They are aggressive, deceptive, and unrelenting. I will NEVER do business with them again. Avoid the other names they do business as: Family Feature Films, Visiplex Family Entertainment, and My Family Explorer. File complaints with the Utah Better Business Bureau @ utah.app.bbb.org. Top turn the tables, call FFFF for a change at [protected]. This is their "customer contact" manager Matt Cooper's direct line. He was very surprised when I called. He actually said "I don't know how you got through to me . . ." He assured me the calls will stop. It is too late. I am on a quest to seek revenge. CEO is Forrest Baker. Find his number and wake him up! Fight back with me!

I have had the same dealings with FFFF for MANY, MANY years. I am, according to the guy that calls me everyday from different places all over the US, a "VIP and they certainly appreciate my past support because there are so many bad things that our kids are exposed to"... blah, blah, blah! The man on the other end of the phone is very nice and good natured, however, I'm so tired of trying to turn him down, but at every "I can't right now" there is an alternative way that I can get more movies. I'm just sick and tired of doing this dance every few months that only wastes my time and his. I don't answer the phone anymore when it's an out of state number. So, with that said, I've just called the number for Matt, which a fellow by the name of Chris answered. He said that the calls will stop and to just allow 24 hours. We shall see... I do hope that it works.
HOWEVER...
FFFF is a good company. I just don't care for the excessive sales calls, which is, in my opinion, the only downfall. None of the sales people have EVER been rude to me. In fact, I did one time get a younger salesman and I was able to get him to laugh by telling him "you're really good, but the answer is still no, I'm sorry" He chuckled and let me go, but the guy that has been calling me lately (ok, for the last 2 years, LOL) doesn't take no for an answer until he exhausts ALL possible payment arrangements because, "at FFFF we understand that it's not always a good time" LOL God bless America!
Sounds like a solution for FFFF is to NOT use call centers or telemarketing as way to maintain and generate business. People are very annoyed by unsolicited or commercial phone calls. Phone calling for business is a thing of the past. Consider the fact that many people are getting phone calls from bill collectors that disguise their caller ID, banks wanting payments on late mortgages, credit card companies, etc.
I think all the complaints here indicate that people are saying "Stop Calling ME!" and you're losing business every time you respond and every time you call!
Simply save yourself money and put everyone on a mailing list with double optin. Those who want to be reminded of new movies or re-ordering can simply respond to your whitelist emails. It will save you the cost of paying for a call center service which usually hires cheap labor and not necessarily the best phone people out there since they make little money to meet their needs and you run the risk of having some bozo on the line hang up on customers. Chances are that by now you're doing your own inhouse call center but it's the same thing. Soliciting Phone calls.
While you're providing good value and good films for families, your call center concept is flawed. Just think how much trouble you'd have avoided and complaints if you did not use the phone as a primary sales tool but only as a customer service tool. If they need you, they will call you. This whole call center marketing in the 21st century America is pure crap. Now all the negative complaints indexed on Google makes you lose business. Next corporate meeting, be the innovative genius and suggest that FFF does away with the calling altogether.
Who knows, you might even get promoted. Yeah, I'm talking to you who works for the company and posts here on its behalf.
Personally, I wouldn't do any business with any company that keeps calling me every week or every month to order more stuff. I order more stuff when I WANT TO.

I just called the number and requested to be taken off the calling list. I hope it works. I have about 10 numbers saved in my cell phone so that I don't answer FFFF calls.

I have the same issue with this company. They continue to call regardless of hopw often we say we are not interested. I filed a complaint with the national DO Not Call Registry and will also file one with the Better Business Bureau.
sent unasked for $200 case of films
They ask people they call to give 5 other friends phone numbers who might be interested and apparently someone gave mine. After an increasing pressure filled call I agreed to get a film called Rigoletto. Rigoletto shows up in a big carboard box with 11 other unasked for films and a little under $200 to my surprise has been charged to my credit card. The only number they give leads to a customer service rep who tries to sell you more films. Though I didn't ask for the films they absolutely don't do refunds! Exchanges is their firm policy and only within 30 days. I still get unrelenting telemarketing calls from them a couple times a year. Everytime they call again I complain about the $200 case of films and they hang up on me. Great products, but unethical business practices.

rude relentless callers
This company calls 2 to 3 times per day asking for my husband and when I ask him to quit calling he rudely will not listen and state that he will call at another time. I say "Do Not Call Again!".

They called me a year ago and I told them no thank you. They continued to call which left me no other choice but to be very rude. In the last week they have been calling my cell phone which really made me mad. Finally I stayed on long enough to find out why they were calling and they said I owed them $325.oo. That is total crap! The hade the name correct but wrong address. I've lived in the same address for 15 years. They are very relentless, rude people.
relentless phone sales tactics
My mother ordered movies from Feature Films For Families to try and steer me and my sister in the right direction when I was about 12 or 13. We got a few movies and learned that only my mother watched them. No more movies ordered. Now I am 31 and these people still call her house ALL THE TIME. I have answered and told them to please stop calling, just to be told that they had to hear it from my mother herself. That call happened 5 years ago. About 5 minutes ago I told them that I was my mother and interrupted his pitch to tell him that I was incredibly busy at this moment and to please stop calling. Wrong. It went down like this:
'Hello?' -me
'Hello Mrs So And So?' -them
'This is her.' -me
' (pause) This is Jeff calling in conjunction with Feature Films For Families, this isn't our normal call this...' -them
'You know what, actually I am extremely busy right now, could you...' -me
'OK then I will just call back at...' -them
'NO, just don't... -me
'...another time.' -them
'NO YOU LISTEN TO... -me
'Have a great day!' *click* -them
'...me. *sigh*' -me
What a bunch of crap. Every day. Nobody is even interested in watching the movies. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe, and just maybe, stick with me here, my mother and father will have a 13 year old child sometime soon. I hope it's a boy, I have always wanted a brother. If that happens then I will apologize to Feature Films For Families, but until then I will curse their existence at the sky.

PS- you are talking to a live operator the whole time
They should not use the "recording", once you figure it out you somehow feel violated. They should tell you up front that it is a recording with voice activated responses, then you wouldn't be so frustrated that they don't listen to you. Next time they call I will try something like Mary had a little lamb, and see what happens. I have asked them to NEVER call me and they still do. Even if they put out good products, they should care about their marketing tactics.
They called me too! You were talking to a recording set up to respond to your answers. A way to save money on telemarketeers salaries. I think it is sad that you considered the movies only appropriate for children based on the fact that it has no sex, nudity, foul language, or violence. l wish you would have watched the movies. Your heart may have been touch. We have several of these movies and they all have been great with a message. A big shout out to a company trying to put GOD back into our lives. Our family would like to see more clean movies. I wish you a more open mind. Have a great day.
won't stop calling
They will not stop calling - at least 6 months after I told them I did not want to purchase something from them. They produce "family" movies, but are very pushy on the phone and won't take no for an answer. They are now calling me on at least 3 different numbers at different times of the day. I would recommend never buying from them as they will not let it go...

"I have asked repeatedly, over and over, ad nauseum: Please please PLEASE remove our number from your call list, your registry, your database - pretend you never HEARD of ***-***-****. I get tired of repeating this: husband is laid off, kids are grown, and not only are your calls highly irritating, but they're DEPRESSING - just another reminder of our life situation.
Please, I am asking respectfully: Go away. Leave us alone. PLEASE."
The above is an e-mail I just sent after receiving YET another call. I have tried being polite, numerous times. I have not resorted to anger, nor have I used foul language.
There was a time when I believed in this company, but no more. The way they handle their business is disrespectful, and I will discourage anyone from using their services. They're like vampires: once invited in they will not leave!
We have repeatedly requested to be taken off FFF's solicitation list and we HAVE called the customer service number, all to no avail. I am tired of the calls that start at 8:00 a.m.!
The biggest mistake we EVER made was buying from FFFF. They continually harass you non stop regardless of how many times you say no or can't and they keep calling from different numbers.
So Mr. Grahamm, what you said about FFFF is the biggest crock of horse manure.

I recieved 4 movies in my mail box today that I never ordered I have not even heard of this company feature films for family. The bill states zero so i dont know if they have billed my credit or what has anyone else had these just show up. And if you did were charged in one way or another. I'm very confuzed how I get product in my mail that i did not order or have never heard of.
Thank you for the feedback
They recently started calling for my husband-we have never talked to them.I answer the phone and tell them my husband is not here."Ryan" then says he will try another time. The number is showing up 2 different ways on caller ID
FFFF-[protected] and wireless caller-[protected]
They never leave a message on our voicemail-but there is at least two calls a day from each number. We have never ordered from them-or even heard of them before they started calling.I got online to try to find out who they were-Im glad I found this article!I will make sure I do not talk to these people and I will tell my friends and family as well!
Thank you for having this info available so that I will know exactly what I am dealing with!
I am convinced that this is a "recording" ... he says the same thing every time he calls. It is actually a very good recording as it responds pretty well to whatever you say. Try it next time and say something that is not what they would expect !
I am fed up with them! I tell them do not call my husband gets up at 2:00am...They still call
I too have become upset with this company. I first ordered films when our children were young. They are now 12, 17 and 20. I had agreed back in January to accept the Velveteen Rabbit which I was told was going to be released in Theaters before Easter and wasn't that great that my past donations of purchasing movies had helped them produce this film. I have not seen it in any Theaters and when the caller called a couple of weeks ago, he wanted to know if I was happy with my previous purchases. He asked if I would take a survey. When I know I did not respond the way he would have expected to his questions, he just kept going on, he finally made another sales pitch. I explained the ages of my children and he said we have films appropriate for the whole family, may we send them. However, before I agreed I wanted to know when the VELVETEEN RABBIT was suppose to be in our area, as I had not seen it, he just kept telling me I should receive my copy. I told him 3'xs I had already, and kept repeating my question. He then asked if my billing address where he could ship the latest movies he wanted to send me was the same. ONCE AGAIN, I ASKED WHEN VELVETEEN RABBIT WAS GOING TO BE IN THEATERS. He kept pressuring me, I finally became angry and hung up. All they are doing is pressuring you to buy movies. This time I actually could remember the name of the movie that was suppose to be in Theaters. I have never once seen one in the theaters. This is just home sales. I AM VERY ANGRY, AS TODAY, I JUST RECEIVED THESE TWO ADDITIONAL MOVIES. I PLAN ON RETURNING THEM TO THE COMPANY. AND TELLING THEM TO REMOVE MY NAME, IF CONTACTED FURTHER I WILL NOTIFY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFFICE OF OUR STATE.

sales calls
After asking repeatedly to please not call, I have finally started to file complaints. They call every week at 8:00 in the morning and start their sales pitch by saying, "I know you asked not to call but could you give me just 2 minutes of your time?" unbelievable
Will not quit calling after I have asked them to quit calling, very rude people .
Persistent calls even though we have requested they not call us. This has been going on for several years. For a while they were calling once a week. At least now they're down to once a month.
I sent an email to customer service and told them if they did not stop calling I would blast them on every social media platform I could find AND get them a special spot on CNN. CNN has a live board for local stories you can submit. Can't remember the name at the moment. I received a quick response and my elderly parents number was removed from their calling list.
Now they call from different area codes. And they ask you to input your telephone number (and other info) even though they have it and called you on that number. It is needed for their affilates (?). And what really ticks me off, it the fact that you have to interact with many people. The person that calls you CANNOT complete the transaction let along the phone conversation. This is a real turnoff. Their movies are great, but their marketing technique is a big zero. They are not customer friendly. They are now a high pressure selling machine. I noticed the Sams Club carries some of the same titles (by Family Friendly Films) and with cheaper prices. Oh, to return to the old days when they really cared about your family.
They are relentless at calling the elderly. My dad has been hospitalized this week. I picked up the first call: "Hi, just to let you know this is not a sales call, I'm calling to tell you thank you for your past support and as a reminder this is not a sales call. Everyone likes a pat on the back, right? Don't you like to get a pat on the back?" My response: If I was my mom and I was elderly I might like to get a pat on the back...well, the phone slammed down on the other end. I'm an advocate for the elderly and by he actions of this call, I would say this company preys on the elderly. I'm out for them now. They've called this number too many times this week.
Here you go this is what i did. They kept calling several times a week asking for my wife. At first I told them she was not home which she wasn't. I kept telling my wife that they kept calling and my wife said just don't answer the phone. I tried that for several more weeks, but then i started to get annoyed. They called again and i told them politely that my wife and I did not want to be contacted anymore. That didn't work either. So the last time they called and asked for her I told them that she was in a fatal car accident over the weekend and had passed away and because I am disabled do to t he fact that I am legally blind, I have no need for their products. They haven't called in a while but if they do this is what I will do next. I will tell them that we worship satan and if they call again I will find where they are located, come to their location kidnap them tie them to stone tables, poor goats blood all over them, gut them like a pig and set them on fire while we sing hale satan. LOL If that don't work then I am at a loss and will just go back to not answering the phone. Good Luck Everyone!
It was not a computer I was talking to, it was a real, determined, pushy salesperson, doing their job but not hearing when I said no no no thank-you, even went as far as to put another person, real person on the line too.
I had the same problem and stopped buying but now my grandchildren are enjoying a new movie and asking for more they have seen advertised.I hope not to have to deal with this again but the movies are very good.
OMGosh- Yes, yes - I think that people are not ready for the intelligence this call brings! My husband is a software engineer and even I had to tell him, "Your talking to a freaking computer!" Simply hanging up does not work. However, I did try asking them to hold on a second and then putting the phone down for a few minutes (I heard somewhere that companies don't appreciate the charges that rack up) In any case, eventually you will hear a live person say "hello?" Maybe that's the time to cancel and not waste your time talking with a computer... Seems to have worked for me...
Common folks...get a grip. You are talking to a computer. There is no Jess or Jason...you are talking to an AI computer. (Artificial Intelligence)
The computer is not programmed to accept requests to cease. They just go to the next solution to close the sale.
Simply HANG UP THE PHONE. That's what I did and the calls now only come once or twice a year. You aren't going to hurt the computer's feelings...I promise. Personally, I think the system is genius and effective.
My 2 Cents Worth.

excessive phone calls
Used to buy stuff from them all the time in the 1990's, then did not hear from the company for several years. Suddenly hear from them on my cell phone (which I didn't have back then) in Fall 2008. Bought a couple of re-edited movies- not original productions like they used to sell.
Got a nasty phone call from some woman at the call center about 2 weeks later, saying she was calling to 'settle a bill". It was not even overdue! I said to take my number off the list, DO NOT call again.
Got calls several times a week all through Holiday Season, came to a head yesterday when I received 10 CALLS in a 12 hour period. I did not answer any of the calls, just IGNORE. They called me 2 times before noon today. I called their 800 number and said I wanted top be removed from their database FOREVER, DO NOT call me again. Woman named Melissa veerified the name on the acccount and said my number had been removed from the list. We'll see...

I have received more than 15 calls over the past week from this company (which I used to like!). They use multiple phone numbers with varying call IDs, some which are very misleading, for example: Ryan and Andrea, Dave and Brenda, Jesse and Britn. I have purchased films from them in the past but not for quite a while (maybe 2 years?). I will not take any more calls from them because they are very aggressive and won't let you say "no". I have a list of 32 phone numbers which I have searched and identified as Feature Films for Families. I will gladly supply this list if it is useful to anyone else!
I've been having the same problem. Except i have NEVER had any association with this company before EVER.
I know what this is---

It is now four years later, and it would seem that Feature Films has still not gotten it right, even in the face of lawsuits from Verizon and the FTC. They still use multiple numbers to call from that are still misleading (though most of them do include FFFF somewhere in the ID). To make it worse, our family has never used this company before and we are on the Do Not Call list, so these are illegal blind calls in an attempt to harbor business. Their way of skirting the law now is to ask for charity donations to their company in addition to trying to sell you DVD's, since blind calls from charities are still legal. I read somewhere that they also work off of leads from previous customers, but they can't use that excuse for our family. The name they ask for when calling is not the name that our friends and family know us as (I go by my middle name, even though my phone number is listed under my given name).
While I respect the values the company touts in the videos they offer, they need to extend these values to their business practice and realize that most people don't want to be bothered by sales calls in their homes - this is why they're on the DNC list to begin with! Their reasoning that they call so often in order to catch you at home is, as Innocentious says in his reply above, antiquated as well. In our home, as with many families I believe, we do not answer phone calls from numbers we do not recognize. We let the answering machine grab it, and if it's something we're interested in or something important, we will return the phone call. Feature Films does not leave messages though, they just continue to bother you at all times of the day (one time at 9:00 PM) by calling again and again.
My suggestion to them is: in the face of the adversity of modern FTC regulations on phone calls, why not attempt another line of reaching customers. Internet ads are a great choice if you ask me, they could reach a massive amount of people, while at the same time avoiding the strife of lawsuits and angry phone patrons all together.
Becky,
I am sorry that you got so many phone calls from Feature Films. The fact that you got numbers with peoples names on them came from an antiquated time when we were matching agents to the phone numbers we were calling out on and we simply never changed the numbers to have different name on it when we no longer were using those people to call. A sever mistake on our part that I think we have fixed at this point. I actually enjoy this sight because it help us know what we can do better. We do not mean to call excessively though it is easy for us to do. I like to think that we did not get a hold of you 15 times rather it was just 15 times we called in a week, which may seem excessive, and we are reviewing a better calling algorithm now, was just us trying to get a hold of you ( I hope ).
The purpose of Feature Films is really not to bother people. Unfortunately to communicate with people you have to bother them, trust me if there were another way we would take it, goodness nowadays even commercials on television are a bother ( tivo skip anyone? ) . It is easy in this day and age to forget about things even when we have the best of intentions of doing them. The only reason we call is to remind people about what it is we are doing, trying to provide an alternative to Hollywood. This is not to say Hollywood does not produce amazing things. But my belief is that while Hollywood produces entertaining films they are missing something that perhaps we want but forget about because we get so little of it. Feature Films produces entertainment that if you let it, will touch you, will help remind you what is really important in life, will help you remember what is important. A few of my Favorites are 'Jumping For Joy', 'The Ghost of Dickens past', and 'The Velveteen Rabbit'.
We do not mean to harass though in this day in age of being able to track every phone call you receive it may seem that way. A decade ago odds are you would not have even noticed us calling because there would have been no record, we would have gotten a hold of you and you would not have even known the lengths to which we had to go to actually get a hold of you on the phone. Now a days you can just look at the missed calls and see that we had to call 15 times before you picked up.
We are trying to change with the times, I promise we are. I apologize for any problem, we are trying our best. I know how frustrating and in a sense betrayed it may have felt like for you. Again I am sorry I know Feature Films is trying to get it right. Things just go wrong on occasion.
violation of do not call registry
While this company does provide decent family films, I find their marketing practices to be unethical - which to me cancels out any good they might do. I have not done business with them in 7 or 8 years. I have been on the Do Not Call Registry for over a year. The same person has called me 3 times in the last week. Each time I have explained my rights under the law - and he has CONTINUED with his sales pitch. I have reported them to the FTC, and sent them e-mail explaining the situation. It doesn't matter how good or bad their product is - they are in direct violation of Federal Law. Seems a bit immoral to me for a company that claims to be all about family values and morals...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
who do i call to stop the calls...? I thought I was the only one with the problem of saying no... Now that I know that there are others it helps to stand stronger...
I believe they are a part of the Mormon church. One of the reasons I steer clear of them. Also they call me constantly also. It's annoying.
This organization is trouble! They have called us numerous times, asking for "the lady of the house." (Warning one: they live in the past - 1951 it isn't), Being the caring husband that I am I always said she was not in, hoping they would give up. Once I even said there was no "lady of the house." This didn't stop them.
Today I ried to get to the bottom of it, asking the caller who they were. Silence. I asked, "Do you sell movies, make them, recommend them...?" Sir, this is not a sales call. Still, she insisted we are a past "customer." She also kept insisting we have supported them in the past. Funny, as my wife and I had never heard of them before.
I must have told her this truth three or four times and her scripted response was the same. "We just want to thank you for all your support in the past."
They cannot take a hint. Avoid them if you can!
They do the same here in the UK too!
I'll bet they've still got their sickly script designed to make anybody who ever watched TV feel guilty of being a mainstream perert.
Not only do they have a script, but their method of enlisting conmtacts is probably the same "Do you know of five or ten families who would benefit from these films"; they have to ask this last question, as the addition of contacts forms the main basis of their internal commission structure!
Innocentious is a joke. Don't give us your moral crap when you represent a law-breaking, relentless, uncaring corporate enterprise. Your ruse it to peddle "family friendly" movies using unscrupulous illegal tactics. Don't you think we are intelligent enough to see through you? All you really care about is the almighty dollar, regardless of how you get it. I have been illegally harassed by you for months. Any "caring" company would not utilize your tactics. Period. You were fined $70, 000 in Missouri and now you must pay Verizon $20, 000 for doing exactly what you have done to me. You know it is wrong, yet you continue to do it. We don't buy your BS, and we will not buy your products!
To those above here,
I am sorry for any abuse you feel you have received. Believe it or not annoying people is not the goal of Feature Films For Families. To anyone who feels they have been wronged I apologize. The purpose of calling is not to bother people and I feel awful if there is ever anyone who asks not to be called again and does. That is not what the company wants. I mean it cost time and money for Feature Films to call you and I promise it is not in our interest to call anyone who does not wish to be called. All I can say is like any process things do not go according to plan 100% of the time.
The actual purpose of Feature Films is to help people know that they can support entertainment that not only contains nothing bad but actually has good stuff in it. Hollywood produces great films, cutting edge technology and many other wonderful things, but unfortunately it tends to only concentrate on entertaining. Feature Films goal is not only to entertain but uplift. I can personally say that there are three movies that they have produced that have touched my life more then any other out there. The first was 'The Ghost of Dickens Past' At the end of which I just wanted to take on the world. It reminded me what charity is all about and helped me out of a deep funk that I am so thankful for.
Anyway as for those that get called and don't want it I know it is not what they want. The best thing to do is call their Customer Service if it ever seems you have asked once and it did not get resolved. They do not want to call people who do not want to talk to them.
The sad thing is that it is so hard to talk to people now. Part of the goal of Feature Films was to try to talk one on one with people to try and let them know and understand why their purchase of films would help create more of the kind of entertainment that inspires the kinds of feelings that I felt when watching the 'Ghost of Dickens Past', or the love I felt when watching 'The Velveteen Rabbit'. I know it is hard to forgive a company that you may feel offended you. It was not their purpose to do so. Mr. and Mrs Funk I intend to try my best to make sure you do not get called again, unfortunately there may be more then one Funk ( maybe maybe not ) in Iowa. Or it may be that we are asking for someone else? Regardless I will do all I can.
There is a telemarketer -names Jessie that keeps calling our home. I have told him numerous times to quit calling, but he is relentless.
My husband works 3rd shift and this persoon keeps calling all times of the day. Everytime I try to tell hin to take our phone number off the list he either says he hangs up or says he cannot hear and to hold on the line to get a better connection, only not to return to the line.
This Jessie person is working my last nerve -- whoever is his boss, needs to communicate to him to stop calling numbers that have made requests to be taken off the call list. Feature Films for Family should be ashamed of thensekves - especially in this tryig times for families which is supposed to be what they are all aboutl If this message ever gets to "Jessie" quit calling the Funks in Mason City Iowa -- we are tired of the abuse and unwanted phone calls or we will seriously consider legal action.
If you look further into the law you'll see that it's ok for any company to call if they are an existing or past customer. The Do Not Call list would not apply in this situation.
These folks are relentless. I have ordered many films in the past - they are very pushy and never accept "I'll take one - thank you", but push for 3 or more movies - with extended payment terms. Now we have requested them to stop calling - they are rude and pushy. They call at least once a week at different times of the day - always asking for me. They won't speak to my husband. They always call from different numbers. No matter what we say to them, they just keep calling. I don't care to send them an email as I assume they will start sending emails and harrassing me that way as well. I haven't yet reported them to FTC - how would that work when the phone numbers are different each time and probably not registered in any way to Feature Films. We have been on the Do Not Call List for several years and it hasn't stopped them. I'm not sure, but I think once you have ordered from a company it kind of voids the Do not call laws - I should look into that, but it won't make a difference with these dishonorable folks. Since the phones are not registered to them, they continue to claim ignorance.
rip off company
My husband ordered movies from this company many years ago, and our daughter enjoyed them. That was over 10 years ago, and she has since moved out on her own. We don't have small children in our home anymore.
When the representative called, I explained this to him, and he assured me that the movies we would order would be movies that adults would enjoy, not just children's movies. I agreed to order some movies; I was not happy with the pressure that ensued to have me buy more and more movies as the call progressed.
When the movies arrived I was extremely disappointed to discover that of the 20 movies sent, only 2 would be not be considered movies for young children. I was upset because I made it quite clear to the caller that I didn't want this, and he sent them anyway.
I have just called today to cancel this order, and was told it would take about 6 weeks to process my refund. We'll see how that goes, but will notify the credit card company just in case there is a problem later on down the line.
If called again I will definitely ask to be taken off their call list, and will explain why in detail.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Got charged on my account 48:00 for movies have not orders nor talked to you would like to have that put back. Want my number removed from your account. For poor sportsman
N ship.
I cannot get on the website, I just signed up and love their films, and now I cannot watch them. Great value, great product, but I cannot get to the movies to view them now all of a sudden. Frusterating! I only got to watch 2 movies, did they shut down? If they are bankrupt I suppose I will have to cancel my subscription...
account id 179321 i recieved a bill but never recieved the movies. i would like to cancel the order. i have bought in the past but have been unable to speak ith anyone to resolve this issue. most of your numbers dont work

While I do understand where people are coming from, this is a wonderful cause and if you tell them to only call once/year, they will honor that. They have always followed whatever schedule for calls we have asked. Thank you.
I need you to take me off your call list. Like so many of these people, I asked you not to call anymore. Well, you've been bugging me for years and I've been hanging up on you. This time you caught me at a charitable moment and I said "Yes". BUT I NO LONGER want to order any of your films. Also, I am writing to make sure the films I just ordered come to the correct address. My name is:
Margaret Kaye Rankin
you might have my address incorrect. I live at 1332 Sunset Dr., Key West, FL. 33040.
Please make sure you send these recent films to the correct address.
I am a customer, and i have had some good and bad experiences. The good ones were the ones when they listened to the no "cutsie" movies thing. They did let a few slip through but the kids liked them. The bad thing is that when i am paying for the things when i can they will call me 3-5 times a day sometimes in order to basically ask "wheres my money?" after i just made a payment! I love their movies, and they do have a few nice people in their employ, but they really do have to train the others or get people with better people skills. On that note, I'm actually neutral about this.
My mother used to order us movies from them and had always paid them after she had cancelled and we were older she got a letter saying she owed them money. She called them and told them she had paid them and that she wasn't paying for the bill they had an attitude about it she had told them she hadn't ordered movies in 10 years and that if it were that big of a deal she'd send the vhs's back they insisted she could keep them that it must of been an error in their system but y after 10 years did they try and pull this because they just wanted more money ...they have great movies personally liked rigolleto, the butter creme gang, and no more baths because they teach children things that most movies don't but they are very unreasonable people.

you mean scammers like you?
I used to purchase movies from them because I supported their intentions to make "good" clean films for the family. I do applaud that. My children are now 30 and 22. I have always bought movies when they have called...they always started with the larger packages and I would say no so they would go to a smaller package etc...I would buy the two pack and they wouldn't bother me for like six months...Well it is hard to say no to them they say we will call back at a better time. I explained that my kids are grown and gone out of the house, my finances are not good I cannot keep buying movies from you. I did it for 25 years and cannot anymore. So now I hang up on them. The same guy calls and says " Hi is Amanda there?" I recognize his voice. I hang up...now a lady is calling with the same accent I hang up...they call every single day around 7pm now they started calling in the mornings too around 8:30 am now when I came home at lunch they called again...so now its every day three times a day so hanging up on them doesn't get the message across either. It will cost $3 a month at my phone company to block their number or $6.50 a month for caller ID with name...so that puts me paying money out a month to keep them from calling me...yes I am being harassed! For the lady above who thinks they are great I think you need to go a while with out purchasing something and see if they start harassing you. There has to be a way to stop them without me having to pay a monthly fee. I am telling all my friends and family to call my cell ph from now on as I will not be answering my house phone at all. I will see how long it takes them to stop calling.
I ordered movies for my small children over 20 years ago from this company and canceled account and paid in full. And about 2 years ago I received a call on my cell from FFFF saying I have an out standing bill and if I ordered more childrens movies the balance owed would be dropped. I explained that I did not have a bill and have since moved and at the time I ordered movies I did not have a cell phone so I have no idea how they got my cell number I ask and they had no answer but continued to try to get me to order movies I said NO but he would not take no for an answer. Every since that day they have called and called using several different numbers. So I answered again only to hear same line that I owed a balance and if I ordered new movies it would be dropped. I even had my sister answer and she told them we were contaction an Attorneey so they stopped for a while and started up again.. So I told them if I owed a balance send me the bill I did not want to join again. I have never received bill to this day and still getting calls. I am getting to the point to where I will get very angry. I want these calls to Stop... I want to know why this is happening to me..

I bought great films from them for my children 20 years ago, when they first began. Then I canceled. Year after year, several times a year, I get a cluster of calls, trying to get me to buy. I have been called at 5am twice and 10:30pm. I do not appreciate being woken up for films I do not buy. I continue to ask them to take my name and number off their list, I have called customer service and guaranteed they would never call again and it would begin the cycle of calls immediately. I have my number on the DNC list and update if frequently. I have a no solicitation on my phone that they keep by-passing. Is there something we can do, legally against them, class action suit or something to stop them?
I am fed up with them.

The problem is, if you listen closely, it is a computer calling. If "they" need to interact with you, it will switch to a live person. Even when talking to a live person, it switches back and forth between computer and person. I have tested my theory, and it is true. If you interrupt, it will pause, then a live person comes on. If you are telling them "do not", or "do n't call", or other "key" words it will hang up on you.
