My agent Evan Wilson refuses to discuss my policy and will not contact me. Also, I was harrassed, by the office manager and a secretary for nearly 30 minutes when I tried to reach him at his office. They were very disrespectful and made me repeat my email address, phone number and address innumerable times. Instead of explaining why my auto policy increased...

Our car battery died Saturday evening so we called farm bureau roadside assistance just to find out their only phone was out of service. We were stranded and had to bother a friend to come and rescue us! Unacceptable!
Then Sunday called them again to set up a tow truck service to come and get out car. We were very specific we needed someone to our house by 7:00am because I had a morning appointment. No one came and when I called farm bureau, right away, Beth - the woman who answer the phone- started giving excuses for the towing company saying they were probably in traffic. A towing company has to allow time for traffic if they commit to a set time of service. And farm bureau should try to help me and not make excuses for them. Last time we needed a tow truck it was the same thing - It took over an hour after they called the closest one! Either they have to get better providers, not promise on a time or put pressure to get the service done in a timely matter. So irritating!
Homeowner's insurance
I bought a house in 2012, and got my homeowner's insurance through Farm Bureau. I asked for "coverage that pays my mortgage in case anything happens to my husband because I cannot afford it on my own", she assured me she gave me this coverage. I did not know it was called mortgage protection until I was watching FBN about 6 months ago, then I checked and realized she NEVER gave me that coverage, she LIED to me. She also never bothered to update my phone number when I gave it to her. This has done me irreparable damage because 1 year ago, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Now I just cannot get mortgage protection insurance even though I asked for it and should have had it, DO NOT trust this company and DO NOT believe their lies.

Home insurance canceled
My parents have been with this company for over 50 years with no claims on the house and insurance was dropped. the reason was my father had built a practice ball field and had some sheds with his tractors parked in them. Sad to say the company still took premiums for the next tens years with every thing the same. i believe they should be given their money back that they paid in for those years.

claim denied
On december 23 my home was vanalized 25, 000 worth of damage. I've had my insurance with Farm Bureau since 1991 paid in over 100, 000 in premiums and this was my first claim. Because we were doing some remodling and all our furniture wasn't in every room they denied the claim since the criminals might have thought we weren't living there. Basically a loop hole in the policy not to pay for the damage to my home the very reason I pay insurance premiums. Run from farm bureau as fast as you can!

Refusal to pay
I am in utter shock about the way I have been treated by Farm Bureau Insurance Company after I filed a claim with them regarding damages to my home. On August 8, 2010, a 25 ft. tree limb (which was green and had blooming leaves on it) fell on top of my carport (which was attached to the home) causing much structural damage to the carport and the vehicle parked underneath. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE, NO WIND, NO BAD WEATHER OR STORMS.
I spoke with the local adjuster, Chris Fontenot, on the phone and Mr. Fontenot proceeded to tell me that the damages would have to fall under the "wind, storm damages" portion of the policy. I told him that the weather had been beautiful all day...blue skies, no rain or wind. Mr. Fontenot stated that my deductible would be $4, 700.00 instead of the usual $2, 000.00, and that this incident DID fall under the wind storm portion of the policy. He also insinuated that if I did not agree with his judgment, then he would file it under the "falling objects" portion of the policy. Conveniently, NO POLICY OF FARM BUREAU'S COVERS "FALLING OBJECTS".
The adjuster did not even bother to write down all of the damages to my home, 4-wheeler and automobile on the estimate of damages. Not only are they not going to pay for helping me get my home back in one piece - they have also stated that the vehicle that was underneath the carport structure is not their problem to repair. WHAT IF THAT PERSON DID NOT HAVE FULL COVERAGE ON THEIR VEHICLE? THEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN UP TO ME TO COME UP WITH THE MONEY TO FIX THEIR CAR SINCE IT WAS ON MY PROPERTY...
I have paid premiums to this insurance company for years. I have my home, vehicle and life insurance with Farm Bureau. I am appalled that I have paid in so much money to them and have had nothing but condescending idiots to deal with. From Supervisors to Adjusters, I have had nothing but pure hell with these people. I am getting all the information together that I can to bring to a local attorney in hopes of putting a stop or at least a slow down to this illegal mess.
I am definitely changing insurance companies and will make certain that I warn others of this fiasco.
WHY WOULD I HAVE EVEN PURCHASED INSURANCE IF THEY ARE NOT GOING TO COVER ANY MISHAPS. Isn't that what insurance is for?...ACCIDENTS...
Beware insurance policy purchasers.

I was involved in an accident on July 3rd, 2016 around noon clear sunny day. I'm 38 and my 15 year old daughter was in a chrystler 200 4dr and was rear ended by a driver who hit us going about 30 miles per hour as the light was turning from red to green. My trunk was smashed into the trunk and my back seat was turned and both our head rests cracked. we were both transported to e.r. room by ambulance and released no broken bones but whip lash and some long L WORD lumbar something. Anyway I am on disability already for my back I have degenerative disc disease and a buldging disc and my daughter no prior injuries. The agent Andre Lyons contacted me and stated that my car was totaled and they would pay the NADA price of my car but I was upside down so my GAP insurance had to cover that part on a wreck that wasn't my fault. He then started advising me to call the hospital and have them billed instead of medicare because I would lose my check. After 2 days of questions and my honest answers I felt uncomfortable with the situation so I went see an attorney for a consultation. I have no money from my car they paid off, I have to return the rental or pay out of pocket if I keep vehicle until I find another car. He stated without medical bills I didn't have a case worth 1500.00. It upsetted me because since 7/3 ive been on bed rest, need assistance in and out the tub, had to get an Mri on my knee that wasn't mashed into floor board and a 15 yoa daughter with neck pain and headaches now. I FEEL LED ON, BETRAYED, LIED TO AND AT THE LEAST I SHOULDNT HAVE HAD TO PAY THE DEPOSIT ON THE RENTAL CAR. THIS WHOLE CASE MAKES ME FEEL LIKE THE CRIMIINAL AND NOT THE VICTIM. I JUST WANT MY BODY TO STOP HURTING, MY VEHICLE REPLACED AND A FAIR OFFER FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTERS PAIN AND SUFFERRING. I TRUSTED THIS AGENT AND HE PLAYED ME LIKE A YO-YO. WELL I NOW HAVE AN ATTORNEY AND FOR EVERY PENNY HE MADE ME SPEND AND EVERY LIE HE TOLD THAT MADE ME CRY AND HAVE A PANIC ATTACK WILL BE HANDLED ACCORDINGLY. I JUST THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AT YOUR OFFICES. HE WAS EVEN TRYING TO GET MY MEDICAL RECORDS AND WE HAVE ONLY SEEN THE CHIROPRACTOR TWICE. WHO DOES THAT. IM WALKING WITH A LIMP. I WOULD LIKE THIS INVESTIGATED AND I REALLY DONT FEEL HE IS SUITABLE TO INTERACT WITH THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS OF HEALTH, TRANSPORTATION AND MONEY. MY NAME IS ANASTASIA DAVIS EMAIL ADDRESS ...MSSUGAD33@GMAIL.COM...I AM DEALING WITH THE FARM BUREAU IN OPELOUSAS, LA. AND THE AGENT WAS ANDRE LYONS. I SURELY HOPE THIS DOESNT GO UNNOTICED AND IM AT LEAST GIVEN A COURTESY CALL EMAIL LETTER SOMETHING I AM EXTREMELY UPSET AND HURT. THANKS AND GOD BLESS.
FYI, I am an insurance agent in another state for another company. However, it should be noted that no insurance company that I am aware of will cover a vehicle that was damaged due to a claim on a home insurance policy in any state. Whether the claim was due to fire, lightning, wind, theft, etc... It doesn't matter. I have spoke to many clients that rarely drive their vehicle, and think that since it stays in the garage of their home that they are covered. This is NOT true. If you want any type of coverage on your vehicle, I recommend checking with your agent to find out what IS and what ISN'T covered on your auto and home insurance policies. Unless your home insurance company specifically lists "damage to auto" as a coverage, it is safe to assume that there is no coverage to your car.
failure to pay claim
I was injured in auto accident and had P I P coverage with Farm Bureau, they refused to pay and used delay tactics to put me off until they could no longer and found bogus reasons to not pay in the end!
Yet they claimed on my record that they HAD paid me $3, 441.00 which they did not pay.
I have a complaint en route to the BBB, The Office of Insurance Regulation, (which prior assisted Farm Bureau in their negative response), The Flint Journal and Farm Bureau themselves, trying to get someone to listen to me.
Isn't a contract a contract?
Is it fraud that they claimed for a year and half that they paid me, when they didn't?

Denied Claim for Theft
I owned a business with a partner and we decided to use Farm Bureau for all of our company insurance. My business partner owned another company and had many employees working for him in that company. In the middle of the night, he (or an employee or employees of his) came into my store and picked up everything he bought into the company with and left. In the process they actually took some of the equipment I owned. I filed a theft case with the police department and also a claim with Farm Bureau. They DENIED my claim because he was a business partner. Now, like I told the claims guy, I do not have proof of who took the items from the store. It very well could have been an employee of his that he gave the key and the alarm code too. Help me get Farm Bureau to pay the claim. It is a theft.

Jeremy Van Curen
One of Farm Bureau's insureds made a left turn in front of my daughter causing her to broadside his vehicle. He was cited for failure to yield. There was a witness. That was 3 weeks ago, Oct 12, 2009. The adjuster, Jeremy VanCuren, keeps dragging his feet on settling the claim. He has twice told me that he was going to the salvage yard to look at the car - as of yet he hasn't done it. He won't approve a rental and he never calls me when he says that he will call. As of yet, we still do not have vehicle to drive and can't get any where with this agent. In fact, as of last Wed he had not even got the police report yet. My daughter offered to being him a copy of the one that we had. He declined the offer. He doesn't want to settle - I guess he thinks that if he just keeps dragging his feet we will get tired and just settle. All he is doing is making me mad - I'm thinking of getting an attorney.

I Have Oklahoma Farm Bureau and have had them for 10 years without a claim. I have replacement on my house. During this Ice Storm of Feb. 2010, they informed me that my replacement does not count on this claim and they will only pay me 2500.00 with a 500.00 dedcuctable, leaving me $2000.00 to pay for a claim of burned up appliances and televisions and a furnace, which adds up to over $8 to $9, 000.00. I have 3 cars and 2 homes insured with this company. I have contaced "IN YOUR CORNER" channel 4 about this and I'm hoping to get it on television how OKLAHOMA FARM BUREAU TREATS IT'S CUSTOMERS TERRIBLY. THE ADJUSTOR ACTUALLLY TOLD ME THAT BY SHORTHING OUT MY APPLIANCES DURING THIS ICE/'SNOW STORM WITH A GENERATOR BY ACCIDENTALLY CROSSING THE WIRES WAS NOTHING BUT NEGLIANCE ON MY PART AND THEY WON'T PAY FOR THINGS JUST BECAUSE I WAS BEING STUPID...
PLEASE CONTACT IN YOUR CORNER AND TELL THEM YOUR STORY. MAYBE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE OR AT LEAST WARN OTHERS ABOUT THIS COMPANY.
If i were you i would'nt waite another day on this guy. if you get an attorny you can make this guy pay for it as well as a rental car that you can get on your own because of his neglect! don't settle let your lawyer do it for you at the other guys expense!
Cancel Insurance
My elderly parents (age 83 and 84) have been with FarmBureau insurance for almost 15 years. They have been basically claim free on both their home and car until this past year. A claim was file on the vehicle for a damaged side mirror that was replaced and several months ago, their front door was kicked in, and the door had to be replaced.
They received a letter indicating their insurance would not be renewed because of too many claims. I was completing taken back since they have been loyal customers for years. I assume the only thing Farm Bureau wants is your insurance premiums with no claims. I called the agent Clesste Bunde in Omaha, NE to discuss the matter, and she did not return my call. So much for service.
Recommendation, STAY AWAY FROM FARM BUREAU INSURANCE.

Bad service
A Farm Bureau Insurance agent, Kevin Wcisel, used his client association with my 81 yr old father to garner a PERSONAL loan. They have done business together for several years.
Mr. Wcisel offered to pay an interest rate of 44% on a loan of 10, 000.00.
This was an unsecured loan written to him personally with out family knowledge or consent.
After contacting the District Manager, Dave Ward, I was informed that "nothing illegal occured". what about corporate ethics? Can that possibly be acceptable conduct of an employee?

I take back what I said. He is a con. FBI deserves what they get when they keep taking him back after dropping the ball so many times.
if he was paying it I do not see the problem.. And he was a personal friend. I don't see an issue at all
auto repairs
My wife and I were rearended at a stop light on July 5th, 2008 in Monroe N.C.The guy who caused the accident slammed into the car behind me at a high rate of speed causing my wifes cell phone to fly out of her hand and hit our back glass .We both suffered personal injuries as well as damages to our car.A few days following this accident I carried my car to...
