As a non-customer who has been insured by USAA for my homeowner and auto policies for about 19 years, I was surprised to find that I ‘d been charged about $970.00 on November 6, 2024 for an insurance product by Farmers/ Foremost with my Chase visa credit card. I have no idea about what insurance I'm supposed to have purchased. The phone number listed for the transaction is [protected].
Chase is helping me dispute this charge. When I called the phone number given me, the agent announced himself as representing Farmers Insurance. I tried asking about the charge only to be told this charge was authorized by USAA via Foremost, a division of Farmers.
I contacted USAA who flatly denied this.
When I use a search engine for the number [protected], the first page entry refers to Farmers Insurance, but further down the page, there’s also data about an ongoing nationwide fraud activity.
