Denial of Claim
I don't understand how a insurance company can do this. On 06.25.2021 my daughter's car was stolen. My daughter was actually in Dallas at the time but, because I'm the owner of the car I made the report as soon as she notified me that the car was gone. I went to the police department close to where the car was stolen from. Address 7808 S Halsted St. When I arrived to make the report I found that the car had been reported as a hit & run. The car had been impounded. It was a lot of running around because I didn't make report before the car crashed. The car was discovered gone about 6am & her in Dallas contacted me about 8 or 9am. Don't know when the car was actually taken. Made a thief report with the police dept. After making report contacted the insurance. Insurance company did what they do with investigation. After 2 investigators findings the company denied our claim & told us because the car didn't appear stolen the couldn't & wouldn't be covering the claim. I received a denial letter around August 28, 2021 explaining to me that the car didn't appear stolen. no windows broke nor lock on doors or ignition had been touched. This is a 40,000.00 car & this is hard to believe they aren't covering it. Today these car jackers & thieves are smart. Everything is computerized. They get your vin # & come back & get your car. How are they still in business? I'm sure I'm not the only one that this has happened to..

Payment not received for auto claim files
My car was hit from behind while I was stopped at a red light. The collision caused damage to the rear bumper, causing approx $1300 in damages.
More cost included a car rental while my car was being repaired. Founders was extremely difficult to contact, either by me or my car insurance - Geico. I have a photo of the insurance card of the person who hit me, taken at the time of the collision. Founders informed Geico that there was no evidence of the collision being caused by their client.
Desired outcome: I would like to recover the total cost of the repair to my car and car rental.
Very bad experience with foundesr insurance company
Founders insurance company in Indiana is refusing to pay our insurance claims for over 3 years.
We provided Founders insurance company with two HIPAA Medical Authorization for two years of access of medical record. Founders did nothing in processing of claims, and now they are requesting the additional the HIPAA Medical Authorization. The purpose of this delay is to dismiss and not to pay our claims.
Insurance associate Gina Santonastaso with support of her supervisor Michael Morse made up some preexisting condition for my daughter – chronic migraine, which were never diagnosed by doctors. Founders insurance company refused to informed us about our rights in this insurance case in Indiana. We were trying to make a complaint to the executive of Founders insurance, but associates Gina and Michael refused to provide us with the contact information.
Founders insurance company provided incorrect, misleading, incomplete, and materially untrue information on key issue of this dispute to Indiana Department of Insurance and that is violation of Indiana insurance code (Title 27 of the Indiana Code). The IDOI is not resolving consumer complaints, but protecting illegal activity of the Founders insurance.

Rental reimbursement
No one will return our calls, they have had the invoice to refund over 1 month. Their insured is at fault and the accident happened November 18. 2021. 3 months ago and our vehicle was a total loss and my husband has been out of work and we are 1 less vehicle. Not one dime has been paid out to settle this claim. No one with Founders insurance will answer or return our calls.

An incident with Founders insured whom was at fault 6/16/2022. To date I have had no verbal contact, each time I call, no answer, cannot leave a voicemail. I recieved a small check for repair to my car over a month AFTER the date of accident with no explanation. Told me to go pay for my own rental and bill them. Adj should work w/the rental / shop

I was rear ended by a driver who hold founder insurance policy... my car was hitted from back ... they write a estimated cost but the adjuster is unable to get hold off.. and when I call they said they need investigation who is at fault... of course the driver who hitted my car back was at fault... it was a matter of jokes how people trust this company and buy policy... it not so trustworthy that they delay payoff ... and people intentionally buy this policy to make other drivers suffer for damages...

Full coverage insurance?
It's been 3 weeks since we hit a deer, founders deemed our 08 Mercury mariner a total loss for $3400. After our deductible We can't buy a reliable vehicle for that we'll have to fix the damages to our vehicle the accident caused damages to the grill and busted the radiator. They offered us to buy back our vehicle for $1600 that's leaving us with $600 for us to repair our vehicle. How is a vehicle their saying is a total loss cost $1600 to buy back? Pretty confused and paying for full coverage did nothing but waste my money plus the money I had to pay out of pocket for tow and rental and still haven't seen a dime I definitely wasted time and money with this insurance company.
105 days since accident - no resolution or response
My son was in an accident on 6/24/2020. He was the first car hit by the driver insured by Founders which pushed him into another car. My son's car was deemed a total loss. It has now been 105 days and Founders does not want to offer a reasonable settlement. Founders kept blaming the delay on the second car hit insurance company, but since ours was the first impact, we should've been dealt with first. Founders has given false information to my insurance company and me and refuse to respond to any correspondence. I have even emailed the VP who simply responded that the claims adjuster would handle the matter and not to include her in an correspondence. My son has been without car all of this time. I sent comps on what the replacement cost is and their response is that they don't cover replacement. I sent Ohio Revised Code documentation on where they have failed -- still no response. I'm frustrated and at a loss of what to do.

I am currently on hold again. The claims rep never has returned my phone calls and after reading the many complaints I'm wondering if she ever will. Their client ran into our car and was cited. He lied to the officer but it was clearly his fault. We took the car in for an estimate which was forwarded to Claims but we have never heard back. So while waiting I was transferred to a voicemail. This is the absolute worst customer service I've ever received.

Hi, I was in a collision accidents with one of your costumers. I was hit going straight when the costumer was making a left. A claim against your insurance company was opened. I was told to email my estimates and pictures to the email address. I sent the email on the 15th and yet to hear from my clams adjuster Jovie Figueroa. I am unable to open my driver side door and unable to afford my car rental on a Reimbursement basis. I am looking hear from my claim adujstso we can further discuss my claim.

On Tuesday, 2/28/2017 there was a severe storm including large hail that broke my windshield and put dents all over the body of my car. Over the rest of the week and following week I attempted to call Founders to report my comprehensive claim but wasn't able to get anyone on the phone. I left voice messages on their automated answering machines but no one ever returned any of my calls. After several attempts to reach them I stopped calling in with the thought that after a little time someone was going to get around to my name on their list and would return my calls. My having other issues to handle in my life, I began to only make follow-up calls a few times every month. I called the agency/Cloverleaf once to see if they could help me get my claim filed but I got hung up on after trying my hardest to pursue convincing the lady to get someone with Founder's claims department on the phone. When I called back I got a fast brush-off by a different person who stopped me in my tracks saying 'no no no you have to call Founder's claims yourself and make your claim.' That was my whole point, I couldn't get anyone at Founder's on the phone. Finally I got a call back after months had gone by. It was September by now. I was given a claim number and directed to take my car to an auto repair shop in Collinsville, American Pride Auto body. So I called and made an appointment to take my car in. After that my claim was denied because according to Founders I took too long to report my hail damage. It should have been reported in less than 90 days. I explained to my adjuster, Dan Marino that I had called many times trying to report it but wasn't able to get anyone on the phone. Now he wants me to prove that I made calls to them. I have to call my telephone service providers and get detailed copies of my telephone bills showing any of their telephone numbers. I've tried to get the call detail from At&t but wasn't able. I will try again but I told Dan that since I had called in on their 800 numbers that maybe he could have his telephone bill checked. due to 800 numbers being incoming calls to his company he should have a record of my telephone number on them. He then tells me that he tried already to check but that his office has moved from one building to a different building and due to different telephone equipment, he isn't able to pull any records of telephone calls during the time frame from 2/28/17 through the end of the year. This is so ridiculous. Why would anyone have full coverage auto insurance not file a comprehensive hail damage claim? I'm not letting them get away with not paying for my car to be repaired. I'm going to file complaints with the Attorney General of State of Illinois and also file a small claims court case. The good thing is I've cancelled my auto insurance with Founders and I have better insurance with a new company with higher coverages and lower premiums. I can't continue to give my money to any business that doesn't give me good service. I just hate that they got so much of my money before I found out what a shyster company they are.

Accident occurred on 2/14/17 claim #[protected]. Was jerked around from the start the body shop submitted everything timely but could get no response from insurance on how to proceed. They have even have lied sating an adjustor went out to shop never happened. Despite repair cost not exceeding the amount insurance said we had before total loss... They waited till day 18 after hours to tell me it's totaled and oh by the way we only cover 20 days of rental. Settlement offer was well below even getting anything comparable car seats were not covered. I am out of pocket how bill, rental fees, and been without transportation since. My children have medical issues that are going untreated as I can not transport them. I was advised by indiana insurance commissioner not to settle. After realizing the process was taking to long I decided take loss and settle at that time I was told my already to low settlement was going to have body shop storage fees deducted from my amount. If I had ever been told that I would have gotten it to my driveway. I have called james taone as I was told he was my adjustor supervisor 6 times with no return call. I have also filed a complaint with indiana insurance commissioner and will do so with better business bureau. On July 31, 2017 I was asleep and my car was parked outside my home my neighbor cross the street came home from work and ran into my car she gave me her insurance information and it was founders entrance I have called them several times with no call back one time I got a lady on the phone and she sent papers to fill out and I sent them back since then I have never talk to anyone there and never received any call backs to messages that I've left I called my insurance company and they contacted founders insurance and told me my adjusters name is Regina Reyes. I have left several messages for her and no call back I called her supervisor James and left a message no call back my next call will be to a lawyer and to the TV station and to anyone that will listen to what I have to say about this lousy insurance company This is a bogus insurance company needs to be shut down and I'll try my best to make sure that happens

On Friday 2/17/17, I spoke with a customer service rep by the name on Luz, I was reporting my incident of a hit and run and severe damage to my car the rep luz! got irritated I guess and begin being short on the phone or stopped answering questions period, I'm on the other nd thinking (they are suppose to be helping me and yet I feel like I did something wrong) after she ignored my hellos for minutes she said okay your claim is done would like the number I said yes but can I know what you have down, I said that I tried to ask you but you didn't answer, she got rude and hung up the phone before giving me my claim number...Leaving me to have to call back and wait on hold for 20 minutes, and then she picked up again..i got my claim number and her name. (worst experience ever! with my own insurance company)
full coverage - total loss
August 28th, 2016 my car was in a flood at my home in Cincinnati, Ohio. This flood caused severe damage to both my home and car. I immediately called Founders Insurance that next morning to make them aware of the situation and to get my car inspected for repairs or losses. I was told it would take 24-48 hrs to get someone to my home to look at the vehicle. I was okay with this because there were other cars ruined on my street as well, and my neighbors and family were told the very same thing by their insurance companies. So I waited patiently for them to contact me about coming out to see my vehicle. Kenny an hired insurance adjuster came out to see my vehicle August 30th at 1:30 PM. He took pictures, looked at my vehicle interior, exterior, under the hood, trunk, and under car. He felt based on his expertise my car was a total loss. So he let me know he would return to his office, send Founders his pictures and findings, and my adjuster would call me within 24 Hrs. Did I get a phone call? NO! Did I get quality care or concern, NO! Instead, I had to constantly call Founders to get answers to what was going on. I was finally made aware after calling, and calling, that I had a new Total Loss Adjuster instead of a repair adjuster now for my vehicle. Her name would be Kim Desjarlait, and I was given her direct line. She states on her VM to leave a message and she will respond within 24 HRS. Has Kim responded, NO! Does Kim call me to let me know she is aware I exist and is working diligently to handle my claim? NO! In fact, I haven't heard from Kim or anyone else at Founders since 8/30/16, and since then I have called, and left numerous VM. I just got off the phone today with a Founders Claim Dept Cust Serv Rep, and tried to get results. She was rude, nonchalant, and basically let me know if Kim doesn't get back to me, then I just have to keep playing the waiting game. No one has time to just keep sitting and waiting for results. They don't wait to be paid each month!
I am complaining about the poorness of their company
My car was totaled after a client of founders hit my car in april i informed them where the car was located more than once in which was accumulating storage in my name sent a fax of the first bill from the towing facility and still founders didn't go to adjust the car that i informed them was totaled and that if they needed me to send pictures i would not that it's my responsibility but if it would help considering i thought would save them from paying but they didn't go look at the car until june and don't want to pay for the bill won't show me how they got the settlement because i had a running car when it got hit and now a bill of storage and car accident not my fault and can't even get a settlement to pay for a tow bill or another car no response anytime you call always get voicemail no return calls spoke to supervisor and still waiting for them to send a way they got the settlement the worst company i've ever had to deal with
Great company, cancel my insurance after paying for 6 months, said payments where do in 3 months, even though I pay 6 months at a time..funny thing is, that they said it was canceled 6, 6, 2017 shows my policy till 9, 6, 2017 an also the date it was written, at the bottom of the page is 6, 6, 2017 didn't receive there letter till 6, 10, 2017. I'm calling my lawyers.

nothing but a hassle
I am not a client, however, one of Founder's clients hit my parked vehicle and caused $1700 worth in damage. This "minor" accident has turned into over a month's worth of headaches for me so far, and at this point I have had my car repaired (however Founders has not yet paid the auto body shop in full) and they are presently refusing to reimburse me for the full amount of the rental vehicle I required. (I picked the cheapest rental car available, and I only needed one because my damaged vehicle was the only vehicle we have that will accomdate our entire family!) The "adjuster" they sent out to view the damages on my car--even after I had already taken my vehicle in for an estimate--took pictures with his CELL PHONE and missed $600 worth of damages by only noting one of the three separate panels that was damaged. He also didn't show up at the body shop to review the additional damages at his scheduled time and has not contacted them since then. I will also be taking Founder's client to court, gotta get my money somehow! I would not recommend Founders to anyone looking for a reputable insurance company who takes care of business.

worst accident experience ever.
I got hit by one of their "insured" April 11, 2012. I just bought my car the last week of february. This guy tore a CHUNK out of my car trying to turn left in the friggen RIGHT lane. At the scene, he told police it was hit fault & was ticketed. now almost a full month later, my car is STILL sitting in my garage. I'm livid that I have to call and call & never get through to an "adjuster". Now they're claiming their insured had a different statement than I had & they're waiting for the police report. A bunch of bs if you ask me. Even the appraiser saw that he hit me twice. These people are gonna be catching suites against them left and right. Moral of the story is, I want my effing car fixed & wished that these fools would speed things up.
