recruitment
I'm an HR Manager at a company in Boston, MA.
FEP sends emails to me, our owner, Sr. VP, CFO, etc about candidates they have in our industry, despite my repeated requests to stop.
I've tried calling FEP Search Group and have left a messages, but no one calls me back.
Word of advice - don't get on their mailing list.
They never go away.
I've had to resort to blocking emails from FEP.
Great recruiters, but too busy for the average person
I have to say that FEP Search Group is a good recruiting firm because their recruiters are connected all over the country and they know the hiring managers at every company, but they are way too busy. They don't focus on helping people get jobs, instead they focus on helping HR people find talent - and usually they don't even work with active job seekers. They prefer to work with people who are employed at the competitors of their clients. So I guess, FEP Search Group is a good recruiting firm, but only for a small percentage of executives who are already employed. But there is no scam as some other guy said. Their jobs are very real.
I agree with my colleague, we have both tried to find jobs via FEP Search Group and they helped me but not her because I was a perfect fit for their client in a Quality Assurance VP role. There is no scam - FEP is just a bit 'elitist' in their approach to executive recruiting.

No actually FEP and Sterling Life Sciences are bit scams - trying to get your resume and then have you follow their CEO on Twitter to build up his following. The positions listed are literally verbatim duplicates in multiple cities. Their metatags are broad so cover multiple industries in keyword searches. As example, I typed in "nutraceutical" in careerbuilder.com and it returned 600+ jobs all for these two "companies." I know my industry, have been in it for twenty years and know the players: there simply are not many jobs available under the titles and locations listed. Anything that you hear good about these companies is most likely authored by them. I have reported them and would encourage others to do also.
Are there any places you would recommend?
Great Recruiting Firm - but very 'picky'
Good service from FEP Search Group. Overall, l I'm very impressed with the strength of the network that the Recruiters at this firm seem to have. They seem to know everyone in the CPG / Food industry, from HR to C-Level executives and my friends at HP Hood spoke highly of them also. I was able to get 1 job interview through them with a Dairy company in Idaho that went to a 3rd interview.
In short, their job postings are real, the recruiters are smart and aggressive, and there is no scam going on at all. I would suggest that any senior manager in the food / beverage industry send a resume to FEP Search Group for sure. So my complaint is similar to the last person who wrote one - my complaint is against the person who refers to their jobs as bogus. It's not true, FEP is a good firm and there is no scam period.

Perfectly Legitimate Job Openings
Very good, high quality recruiting firm. They are open about the fact that 90% of applicants will not receive a response, just like 95% of students who apply to Harvard do not receive a response - FEP Search Group only works with job seekers who are a perfect fit for their openings, because like every other recruiter, FEP Search Group serves the hiring company - not the job seeker. My complaint is about the immature job seeker who posted the previous complaint about scam job postings - which is just not true. I am a candidate who has been helped by FEP Search Group many times and am writing this review at their request - they are a good firm, with real job openings, and worth working with again.
Posting fake job offers on their site
This is suppose to be a staffing/recruiting company. You will see lots of jobs advertised on their website. They want you to submit your bio-data/resume and all information. Then you will never hear back from the company. I tried to call on the phone but all you hear is recorded message. To me seems like fake advertisement. Be careful when applying for a...

I was contacted multiple times by someone from this company asking for an updated resume and pushing a 3-month contract position in a town 250 miles away from where I live. I already have a full-time permanent accounting position, which they should know because they presumably got my resume off LinkedIn, and the first line in the job description they offered was asking for 5 years experience in an industry where I have never worked.
This happened before with the same company a few years back. I chalked it up to an inexperienced junior recruiter, but based on what I am seeing in this and other review it's probably best to just block them.
