Worst contract EVER! Illustrations claim you will receive an interest rate based on an index (S&P 500, for example), up to a maximum. HOWEVER... you don't really have interest credited to your account every year. You only get the interest if you take withdrawals based on your life expectancy (similar to annuitizing). So my money has been earning 1.5% interest since 2018, whereas the index crediting rate is much higher. For 2024, the interest I should have earned was 19.84%. To get the higher crediting amount, I would receive $2820 per YEAR .
Claimed loss: $31,420
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund to include all of the indexed interest earned but not credited to my account value.
