I had a tracker installed in my car on the 28th January 2020 from Fidelity ADT Securedrive. I sent my installation certificate to my Insurance Company (Myway Insurance) on the 28th January 2020, I was then told they won't cover my car against theft/hi-jacking. Reason for this is Myway Insurance don't cover high risk vehicles with Fidelity ADT Securedrive. When signing up I asked the call centre agent Angeline Singo if Myway Insurance would approve of this tracker as she said YES. I have been sending emails since then asking them to remove the tracker from my car, as it serves no purpose driving a car and your Insurance Company don't approve of it. Angeline Singo then sent me all their certificates of Fidelity ADT Securedrive but Myway Insurance still refused to accept. Angeline Singo then put me in contact with her Manager Mr Preneshan Govender who I then emailed explaining everything ( This was the whole week of 28th January 2020 - 31 January 2020 only to be told my email was escalated to his Line Manager. I have not heard anything back from him. My husband called him on the 3rd February 2020 to find out when they are removing the tracker. Preneshan then told my husband he will sort it out, but up till now no one came back to us. I then called their customer service department to lay a complaint and was told about a "cancellation fee". When I notified them which was immediately I was still in my cooling off period of this contract. I have never dealt with such unprofessional people. Does it seriously take this long to have a tracker removed. I can't proceed with fitting my new tracker - that is approved by Myway Insurance, as they sent me a list of their approved tracker companies. Mr. Preneshan Govender told my husband on Monday the 3rd February 2020 that we can proceed to fit my new tracker - even though their tracker is still in my car. I point blank refused to do this. I don't see how we can fit a new device with their tracker still in my car. I honestly don't know why they are dragging this whole thing, When we call Mr. Preneshan Govender he don't want to take our calls. I think they deliberately stalling and then want to charge me. Why must I be charged when I was given the incorrect information when signing up with Fidelity ADT Securedrive. I would appreciate it if you can assist me. No one is listening or helping. I want to make people aware when signing up with Fidelity Securedrive - that may also encounter the same problem with their Insurance companies. They need to send all their staff and managers of Fidelity ADT Securedrive on training on how to deal with customers. Clearly they don't know their product or which Insurance companies approve of their tracker. I have all the emails that I sent to Angeline Singo and Preneshan Govender if you want to have a look at it. Please note I am based in Cape Town.
Im also having countless problems like if any work is being done on my car i dont get any calls instead emails so which means if im sleeping at night and someone is stealing my battery they wont phone or trace and check theyll leave it like that...another time at robots i got held up and robbed phones ans5 everything was stolen i pressed the panic button and thieves got away by pressing panic button not a single call made to me
My issue with the tracker is that it consumes my battery, i jump start my car every time I drive out. This is my second battery in 6 months.
i just need this device removed...
i have fidelity tracking unit year march 2021 in ford eco sport that i bought from Ford the glen but the car had some failure in front suspension , i return the car to the Dealership i alert fidelity i return the car to the dealership they must remove the unit but they failed to do that , i also alert Ford the glen to remove the unit at the moment i was told my their collection company nimble group to pay R4500
