FirstKey Homes We applied for to rent a home around June 14th, paid $100 in application fees

We applied for to rent a home around June 14th, paid $100 in application fees. We never received a decision on our application. On or around June 14th my wife and I found a beautiful home that was just posted on FirstKeyHomes.com for rent. We saw that this home had just been posted newly available as of 2 hours prior, so we jumped at the opportunity and applied for the home via their website. We completed the application exactly as per the instructions provided including all of the correct supporting documentation (2 weeks paystubs, bank statements, photo ID pictures, etc.). At that time we also paid $100 in application fees via credit card. The very next morning we called into FirstKeyHomes and and spoke with a representative who advised us that our application was the first one in on this particular home (7518 Lullwater cv. Huntersville) and not to worry as we would be the first application to be processed for this home. Later that same evening we received an email from FirstKey Homes asking us for more supporting documentation (an identity quiz and letter from my employer). We had some questions regarding this request and tried to reach out to the person responsible for our application (Breonna) but she was extremely unresponsive and did not return calls. Regardless, we submitted all of the requested documentation by no later than 5pm that same day. However, upon logging in the home we applied to now reflected that it was suddenly unavailable and more suspiciously the rent amount showed it had been increased to a higher amount than we applied for. We reached out to firstkeyhomes about this and was informed that despite them reassuring us that morning that we were first on the list, the home had been rented to someone else. Mind you this was after they took our $100 in application fees. After much distress, we decided we would still continue the process as they advised us that if we were approved it could be transferred to a different property. We tried reaching out to firstkeyhomes many times over the next 1-2 weeks but none of our calls were returned. We left many messages trying to get the status of our application with no success. After about a month from the time that we applied, paid $100, and submitted all of the requested documentation we ended up finding another home through another company. I called most recently to try and request a refund for our application fees since we had still not received anything from them and was told by the customer service representative not to worry and that he would forward it to his managers. A manager then reached out to me shortly thereafter and agreed with me that it was ridiculous to not even have received a decision as if our application just went into limbo of sorts. He explained that while he could not personally issue a refund he would forward our details over to the management office and that they would reach out to us. They never reached out to us and this was about a week ago now. Yesterday we randomly received an email saying that we are approved, however after waiting over a month and having our calls and messages ignored we had no choice but to rent from a different company. FirstKeyHomes literally ghosted us, took our money and disappeared. We want our $100 application fee returned to us.

FirstKey Homes Flooding Issues (both restrooms) Gas leaks FIRST KEY HOMES IS THE WORST

Flooding Issues (both restrooms) Gas leaks FIRST KEY HOMES IS THE WORST. DARLENE IN THE FT. LAUDERDALE OFFICE WAS MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE REVIEW I MADE THE LAST TIME THAT SHE BEGGED ME TO TAKE IT DOWN. I DID BECAUSE SOME OF MY ISSUES WERE RESOLVED. THIS TIME IT'S WORSE. EVER SINCE 5/23 MY HOUSE HAS BEEN FLOODING. I'M TALKING ABOUT LIKE AN OCEAN. THEY TOLD ME SINCE I DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE IT WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE ANY OF MY LOST AND DAMAGED GOODS. THE PLUMBING IS TERRIBLE. IT IS NOW JANUARY AND HERE WE ARE FACED WITH THE SAME ISSUES. WE HAVE TO TRAVEL TO LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND RELATIVES HOUSES JUST TO USE THE RESTROOM AND TAKE A DECENT SHOWER. WE HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH FECES IN BOTH SHOWERS FOR THE LAST MONTH IN A HALF AND NOTHING STILL HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT. WE HAVE HAD A MAJOR GAS LEAK THAT COULD HAVE COST US TO LOSE OUR LIVES WHILE COOKING EVERYDAY, BUT GOD IS SO GOOD HE KEPT US. GAS LEAK BEHIND THE STOVE AND THEN WE COULD NOT COOK FOR A WEEK. THEN ANOTHER PERSON CAME OUT AND SAID THERE IS NO GAS LEAK. THEN ANOTHER COMPANY COMES OUT FOR THE PLUMBING WAY LAST WEEK AND WE HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD FROM ANYONE EXCEPT FOR TODAY WHEN TALON PLUMBING CALLED JUST TO SAY THEY WILL BE OUT HERE TOMORROW ONLY TO DO A CAMERA INSPECTION. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG TO EVERYONE ONLY SNAKING IT. I PAY 2250 PER MONTH TO LIVE LIKE A DAM BOMB IN MY OWN HOUSE. ALICIA GOT ON THIS CASE AND WAS TRYING TO HELP AT FIRST. HOWEVER, SHE KEPT FINDING HOTELS THAT LOOKED LIKE DRUG DEALERS AND USERS STAYED THERE. THEY WERE FILTHY AND DISGUSTING. FIRST KEY HOMES COULD DO WAY MUCH BETTER. IT'S SAD HOW EVERYONE COULD GO HOME, SHOWER, USE THE REST ROOM AND REST PEACEFULLY WHILE WE HAVE TO BE UP ALL NIGHT CRYING AND EMBARRASSED WHEN WE HAVE TO KNOCK ON OUR NEIGHBORS DOOR TO USE THEIR RESTROOM AND NEVER GO TO SLEEP. THEY LEFT ME TO FIGURE OUT EVERYTHING. I AM BREAKING THIS LEASE. THE ONLY THING THEY CAME TO DO WAS CONVERT THE GAS TO ELECTRIC, PUT A NEW STOVE AND MICROWAVE (AFTER I HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE ON MY OWN) IN THE KITCHEN. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND I WILL MAKE SURE I MAKE A COMPLAINT TO Complaintsboard.com AND THIS TIME IT'S NOT GOING TO COME DOWN BECAUSE EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW HOW MY CHILD AND I HAVE TO LEAVE IN A SEWAGE SMELLING HOUSE. I HAVE SEVERAL VIDEOS AND PICTURES AND ALL I CAN SAYBIS YALL SUCK AND YALL ARE NOT RIGHT. YALL MAKE TOO MUCH MONEY FOR ME TO HAVE TO CONTINUE TO PAY RENT, FALL INTO DEPRESSION AND NOT HAVE A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT TO LIVE IN. THIS JOURNEY WITH FIRST KEY IS ALMOST OVER...NEVER AGAIN! I AM MENTALLY ILL BEHIND THIS ENTIRE SITUATION. MY DAUGHTER CRIES EVERYDAY. WE ARE DEPRESSED AND UNHAPPY. WE JUMP OUT OUR SLEEP BECAUSE THE STOOLS AND SHOWERS MAKE LOUD BUBBLY NOISES AND FILLS THE TOILETS AND SHOWERS WITH MORE DIGUSTING WATER FROM UNDER THE HOUSE. WE ARE EMOTIONAL AND WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS THAT THEY MAKE US STAT HERE. I ASKED DARLENE AND ALICIA IF I COULD JUST BE MOVED TO ANOTHER NEW PROPERTY. DARLENE SAID U GUYS HAVE TO RUN MY CREDIT ALL OVER AND I WOULD HAVE TO BE APPROVED ALL OVER AGAIN TO SEE IF I QUALIFY FOR ANOTHER PROPERTY AND ALICIA NEVER RESPONDED AT ALL REGARDING THAT MATTER. SO, I AM STUCK BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE. I HATE IT HERE. IT'S SAD HOW ONE OFFICE WILL MAKE A WHOLE ENTIRE COMPANY LOOK BAD...I NEED TO SPEAK TO THE CEO

FirstKey Homes Carbon Monoxide leak no general maintenance ever done

Carbon Monoxide leak no general maintenance ever done. My family could of died. My home has been without power and the temperatures have been under 50 degrees in my home. My central heat runs on gas but I noticed it went out out while the power was out but eas running when I came in from work. At some point while we slept it webt out when the power outage came. I contacted my landlord and did an emergency work order and the centerpoint gas company who came out almost immediately. The centerpoint technician saved our lives he dod testing with a device but told menthat it was probably due to the furnace being sparked by the electric and since the power is out the furnace is now out because he was experiencing the sane thing in his home during the winter storm. While he checked the furnace he said that there was CO, carbon monoxide, coming into my home. He shut it off immediately and told me i need to contact ny landlord immediately and asked wheb was the last time the home had any general maintenance. he said that a pipe was not connected causing the carbon monoxide to enter my home. He turned the valve off and posted a notice on the furnace and gave me copy with information about the carbon monoxide. I contacted my landlord First Key Home emergency maintenance prior to calling centerpoint. Finally a maintenance technician called from first key and said there was nothing she could do that they would need a technician. I told her what are we supposed to do die because I know this is serious as fellow Texans are dying. So she said shed call back she called me back and told me they were gonna send a technician the following day. Mine you there was no heat or power due to the rolling blackouts and freeze warnings. Nothing is being done I have contacted them back over and over. If they can send someone to go ahead and connect the pipe to eliminate the carbon monoxide entering my home so we can at least have heat. With the power finally restored for 2 days now the only issue is no on has come to fix the pipe on the furnace.. I have called the energency maintenance number multiple time and spoke with multiple people Rita and Erica were the most enpatheic and tried to help the other 2 basically told me the could only direct me to 311 for warming center locations due to the disaster that to my knowledge subsided because roads are no long icy and power has been restored now to most Texans including myself for 2 days now. In spite of the winter storms general maintenance upkeep hasn't been done for the 3 almost 4 years I have been in this rental property but I was unaware of things like a furnace needing to be checked but I know i have to change my own filter, light bulbs, door handles, locks and such. I was told they sent this to my local property management with urgency and I am unable to reaxh them. They would not give me info on the vendor that they supposedly sent the work order, to so I can try to contact them directly, the won't give me a corporate contact number, and I cannot get ahold of the local property manager maybe they are closed but during this time there should be some sort of local emergency contact to talk with directly. They told me that due to the winter storm they are handling the urgent orders as they recieve them but they are directing people to call 311 and to use warming centers that is not something I can do with small children. My home is freezing especially during the night temp drops. We have been sleeping huddling in the living room using our body heat for warmth. When we finally got power we were using my stove but it went out after a few ours of use which I opebed yet another emergency work order as we were using for heat before it went out. I pay about 1300 a month rent on time. I just want this issue taken seriously and to stop being pushed around. Me nor my family deserves this we have been treated loke this isnt affecting us. This is a big rental company emergency protocols should have been in place as this winter storm was forecast before it hit Texas.

FirstKey Homes Security Deposit Hold Refunded on a lease that has not been executed

Security Deposit Hold Refunded on a lease that has not been executed. On Oct 20th 2020 I applied for a home managed by FirstKey Homes. After a few hours I was contacted and told that my application was approved for up to $1624. Immediately I received emails regarding the home and what needed to be done to secure the home. Application fee was paid and the security deposit for $1395 was paid and cleared 2 days later.During the initial conversation with the customer service agent I was told that if the home I selected became unavailable due to the current tenant decision to stay , that I would have the option to either find another home that suited me or I could receive my security deposit back if nothing I wanted was available. With this guarantee, I moved forward with the process to hold the home until my desired move in date of Nov 15th. The home was not available for touring but I was encouraged to drive by the location, in which I did a few days later. I live out of state so I relied on the photos online to guide my decision. Upon arrival at the premises, I was underwhelmed with the neighborhood, the immediate surroundings and the lack of upkeep to the property. It resembled nothing like the picture, and I had not even went inside. Futher investigation of the area produced unsavory crime statistics and safety concerns. I immediately reached out to FirstKey to resolve this and mitigate a solution and there was not response. I emailed, no response, I called and no answer. Being frustrated with this process, I attempted to contact the "Leasing Coordinator" listed on an email and was told that a representative would contact me, never happened. Now a week and a half later, not only am I frustrated I feel as if I have been scammed out of my security deposit and can't contact anyone for answers. Fast Forward to Oct 30th I send another email to resolve this and ask what the policy is on receiving my security deposit back since I have not taken possession of the home and there are safety concerns. I even offered to resolve with an amicable solution and I get an automated response from everyone that I emailed except for a individual who promised to forward my email to management. Again, nothing. At this point Im advised to contact legal representation because this is absurd that you can't get anyone to respond. Ironically, I receive a email that tells me I can not get my security deposit back and that this not an option and that I can have possible have my deposit and application transferred to another home if I had one in mind. Well, a week in a half ago, had my emails been answered you would have seen the alternative homes I would have gladly welcomed, but as of this date, they have all been rented. So no there is nothing else I want to rent and if the treatment is the same, why would I want to? I was told since the home I applied for is not available and I have not toured it, policy won't allow for a cancellation. How does that statement even make logical sense? So I ask, when will it be available? Unsure. What ? How can you not know if a resident is going to vacate when you have a move out policy and its the 30th of the month? and if this is true, why haven't I been notified , its the END OF THE MONTH? I Asked for clarification because at this point I am confused. So if I tour the home and don't like it I can cancel but I can't otherwise?or is it the current resident really isn't going to move, and you knew this, but you accepted my money and application and now want to force me into a lease in another home under these pretenses? Im beyond outraged with this fiasco and just want my security deposit back and to move on. Its not hard, I then was told I can pay a 2 month early termination fee and be released. released form what? I have not taken possession of anything. Why would I move in someplace then give you notice to terminate only to pay you 2 months of rent which in reality is 4 months (Security plus 1st month and 2 more months) when I haven't even received keys? Sounds like a scam to me

FirstKey Homes The house was not cleaned before move-in, several other issues with the home

The house was not cleaned before move-in, several other issues with the home. Communication hasn't been great. My experience with FirstKey has been a nightmare. We are moving out after less than two months. When touring the home, we definitely saw some issues, however, we were under the impression that things would be fixed/cleaned before we moved in. The home was not cleaned before we moved in. And when I say not cleaned, I mean literally nothing was cleaned. The window sills were filthy, the floors were dirty, nothing was vacuumed, the blinds were dirty and the ones in the kitchen had food splattered all over them, there was some urine/feces on the toilet when you lifted up the lid, there burnt out light bulbs, there were dead bugs in all the lights, the mantle and shelves in the living room were dusty, the carpets were so dirty that my socks turned black after just a few hours of moving stuff in, up and down the stairs. On to the basement- dirty doesn't even begin to describe it. It was so dirty we could barely see the floor. And that is where we were supposed to do our laundry. I spend $700 and 15 hours cleaning just one room in the basement so we could use it for our laundry. There were cobwebs and centipedes all over. There were ping pong balls and socks down there as well. One of the light bulbs was burnt out. I've been here for 5 week, and I still haven't done laundry here. I've Ben driving 35 minutes to my dad's house to do laundry. Also, there was only carpet on the first few steps to the basement, but it was filthy. Covered in dirt and dead bugs. I reached out to my property manager, Matt Soel, and told him of all of this. He just asked for pictures. It wasn't until a few days later when I discovered that the pull out drawer was full of grease and old food that he decided to send out a cleaning crew. It was a team of two who "deep cleaned" the home in less than 45 minutes. I deep cleaned this home and it took me almost 5 hours. They did almost nothing. So I had to hire a cleaner and spend another $100. Then I had to hire a carpet cleaning company for $180. So altogether I spent almost $1,000 getting this home okay enough to live in. The property manager only took off $250 off our rent for one month. But we still had to pay to do everything. Other issues we discovered upon moving in: -front and back doors have trouble locking. You must push them in or pull them closer to you to get them in the track to be able to close them -Almost none of the doors latch when you close them -you have to push the bathroom door in and pull to the right to get it back on track to shut, and the door handle just spins and spins. We've gotten stuck in there several times -the shower head looks like it's about to fall out of the wall -there a hole in the floor of the office and you can literally see into the basement -the wood on the walls/stairs in the basement looks rotted or like it was chewed on by an animal. The same for the wood near the whole in the office floor. -there are chips in the kitchen flooring -there are silver scratch pad things everywhere which lead me to believe at some point there was a mice problem. We found several traps in the basement -the grout in the kitchen and bathroom is very dirty. Some parts are almost black. -Some blinds are broken -Within two weeks we had to call emergency maintenance twice. Our toilet stopped flushing (only one in the home and they almost didn't send someone out before office hours) and our furnace broke. -If you run the water in the bathroom sink for too long it smells like sulfur -Ceiling in master bedroom appears to be caving in -The shower drain was clogged when we moved in -There is a dinner plate in the floor vent in front of the mirror in the living room. We have decided to break our lease after only 5-6 weeks of living here. We had asked about not having to pay early termination fees due to the condition of the home, but we were denied. We are still considering getting legal help for this. There is more, however I am out of "characters left".

I reported musty smell, dampness smell, toxic mold numerous of months that was over looked by First Key Homes. I Rent a Home from them in Atlanta, GA. And my property manager Joey and the Director Elizabeth an many more property managers have failed me. They left me/my family helpless and hopeless. They dont care. Listen Please be ware. Use my nightmare and story below and read it. Because you never want to rent from them without having your rental home inspected before moving in by professionals. These 2 professionals later saved my life. A air quality test and mold/water test is needed before renring from Fitst Key Homes. I saw mold finally and reported again in Oct 2020 they decived me and did nothing. They even left me without heat for about 3 weeks doing this entire situation. The toxic mold came from leaking pipes and more they covered up. Joey & Christine of First Key Homes played mind games with me. And they all tried to get me to sign a form saying the mold and all damages was gone. But I new they was trying to deceive me. In the early part of Nov 2020 Joey & Marquita did nothing. Then I finally told them if they didnt send some I was gone to reported them to my county code enforcement. They finally sent a Senior Rep out finally on Nov XX XXXX, a lady name Christine. BEWARE SHE IS REALLY SNEAKY. She covered up the entire issue. They tried to cover up the real problem. They lied to me. I kept getting sick everytime I was in the home. Im still seeking treatment now. I am allergic to the mold. Then my property manager Joey and Christine kept telling me I had no leaks, pipe leaks, or no issues of toxic mold in the home or crawl space. I went an paid for my own reports because they refused to. Then I found out the truth. FirstKey Homes House has crime issues since moving in cannot even get a return email since 2/2 Security doors are iffy at best and asked to be repaired etc -

House has crime issues since moving in cannot even get a return email since 2/2 Security doors are iffy at best and asked to be repaired etc - Since I moved into this home I have been terrorized by crime and vandalism with little to no action from the rental company I pay $1500 a month to. Someone had the keys to my home and got in while I slept one night and vandalized some of my possessions and the home(none of which has been repaired by First Key Homes). It took 3 days to have the locks rekeyed! I sat in the house all weekend about to have a heart attack waiting for this to be done even though I was told it would be done on Friday(no maintenance email came to me that day - I received one Monday so I believe nothing was done until then). I have emailed 3 people at the company repeatedly with pictures of the damage that someone does to the home on a just about nightly basis with nothing being done to curb it. I gave up when it became apparent no one gives a care about the home or me(just the $1500 a month I pay in rent). I had to call 911 Friday night because the vandals were driving nails into the bricks on the side of the house that is dark(I requested a $20 floodlight be put up weeks ago but nothing has been done). This is the second time in about a month the police have been to the home(they did not take a report either time - that is another story). I do not feel safe here any longer and have consulted with an attorney(Sean O'Brien Snider and Horn). I do not wish to take anyone to court. I want to work out an amicable settlement between both parties to terminate the lease so that I can get out and go somewhere and sleep again. I am pretty sure this whole situation has given me PTSD because I am jumpy any time that I hear a noise. I am afraid to go outside after dark. I have a hernia and am limited to what I can do or I would have already done something about the issue. I have spent hundreds of dollars of my own money securing this home. I still do not feel safe with an alarm system and cameras. The house is in no where near the condition it was in when I moved in, I also believe the ad said the home had an alarm system in it when I looked at it on their website which could not be further from the truth. I had to have one installed myself after the lock box was left on the door for days after I moved in(I texted the property manager multiple times without so much as a reply to have it removed). I believe that made people believe the home was still vacant and a more attractive target for crime. I am also not sure that the locks were even changed before I moved in and that is probably how someone had the keys. I just want to work out a settlement so they can have this place back and I can get out of here. I do not feel like the company has held up its side of the lease and I just would like to leave but I am not wanting to leave without making it fair for both parties. I would be willing to talk and settle and would prefer to do that, I did not know a better way than this other than involving attorneys etc and no one wants to do that. I asked to be contacted by email because I work in IT during the day and am not sure of my hours and also because of my hernia(which I need surgery for - waiting on a work comp claim determination on it at which time I will be making 2/3 of my salary if approved and if not I will probably be making nothing until able to work again after healing) I feel sick to my stomach and do not feel like talking on the phone. I had asked that when contacting 3 people at the company(names I will be glad to provide it needed) but never received a reply email just 1 voicemail. I even asked for contacts in management and was never given those either. After reading the complaints on this website I feel like the best thing to do is for us to work out a deal and walk away so I can move on with my life and you can find another tenant and continue making money. I would be willing to forfeit my deposit as part of the settlement. I do not feel the $2950 in the lease and the number of days notice is fair given the circumstances. I look forward to a reply.

FirstKey Homes I am writing this last email to the Firstkey Homes staff to let you know I am deciding to seek a lawyer

I am writing this last email to the Firstkey Homes staff to let you know I am deciding to seek a lawyer. I have tried to work through this with the Property Manager and Cash for Keys and it's not wise from my standpoint. I have faced many issues with this home that was no fault of mine. I have put my and my kids' health in jeopardy waiting for the company to repair the home. I have been more than patient and cooperative only to be offered a price that won't even help me to move out of the property and discriminated against by the property manager ***. Here is a list of events: I will have exact dates when I pull all emails, maintenance requests and call logs.4/2022-6/2022: Pipes burst in the walls and the flooded home was in the home with no water for days called the emergency maintenance line they never came out to even cut the water off. I had to find someone to cut the water off for me. The water ran for hours and flooded over half of my downstairs. When Firstkey sent someone out weeks laters it was several different companies coming for the same issue. But I never fixed it. I had several walls cut out in the home and was like this for months. All kinds of bugs, wasps, insects, etc were coming inside the home. Firstkey had Serclean come 2 months later to dry the moisture and only clean half of the carpet. They never checked for mold as I requested only moisture after 2 months. The sink downstairs was removed so we only had 2 bathrooms working in the home and the sink was in the garage for 2.5 months. I called Firstkey Maintenance for months every other day. I was told by *** that the work order was updated as completed and nothing was even fixed. When the *** came to cut out the walls they did not cover any of my items so of course the sheet rock fell all over my furniture , food and everything that was in the area they cut out. I had to clean it up and throw a lot of stuff away. All of these issues were reported to the property manager. I was placed in a hotel with all of my children and with one bed and a couch. It was not enough room for me and my children and there was no stove or microwave so I had to purchase food. This occurred during the inflation on food. So I had to purchase food for me and all of my children during the hotel stay. Then when I was placed in a hotel that was 30 minutes away from my home and had to drive them to and from school spending *** on gas every 2 days during the time there was an inflation on gas. I had to miss hours of work to make sure my children got to and from school also. When everything was finally done 2.5 months later I was only given a month's credit for rent. I didn't complain about items that were damaged, because I couldn't afford to get the renters insurance. Not to mention when the home was advertised on the site is stated that it had a pool and tennis court with the amenities and that was false advertising because the pool does not belong to the wyndsor at *** neighborhood. When I questioned Firstkey about this they stated they didn't know when they knew the whole time that it was not a part of the property. Now let's fast forward to the month of November:11/22: The toilet started running in the hallway in the ***tairs bathroom I put in a maintenance request and then called it in because the toilet was running nonstop and I didnt want it to increase the water bill and it was an emergency maintenance request. It took Firstkey Maintenance over two weeks to come out to stop the running toilet. He stated that the toilet was put in incorrectly because of the way the home was built, and that is the reason the toilet was loose. He stopped the toilet from running by replacing the piece on the toilet . I had already cut the toilet off but it continued running. The ceiling started leaking water and then started collapsing. I reported all of this and sent emails to everyone listed on this email. We were eating dinner and a big piece of the ceiling collapsed and hit my baby in his face and scratched and bruised it and my 11 year old was ok thank God. This was the same spot that they cut out and replaced back in April 2022 when the pipes burst the first time. After they sent someone out to fix the hall bathroom and pulled up the floor around 11/7/2022 they never came back to do anything. The master bathroom toilet started to stop up and I had to put in another request. Son's plumbing came out and fixed the toilet. After a couple days p*** started coming up through the tub and the standup shower in the master bathroom whenever we ran water in the sink, or flush the toilet, and the shower would not drain. I put in another request and two vendors were sent out. Creative Plumbing came out and looked around for 5 mins and stated it must have been a blockage now it's clear everything is okay. An hour later is when Sons *** came back out and dropped a camera in the toilet and discovered that a s*** from the cabinets that were put up in the kitchen had holes that were screwed through the pipe connected to the toilet. Here is where all of the issues have come from and it was finally found after months or flooding and back*** in this home. So now it has been a month and a half with only one bath and half bath working. No flooring in the bathroom ***tairs or sink. It took a month for *** to come out and half repair the ceiling. It is going to fall again soon. I have called several times regarding these problems, sent emails, pictures and videos of everything. And these repairs are still not completed. Also mold is showing in the ceiling in both the bathrooms coming out of the vents and around the shower. So there is mold/mildew in the home and I have proof that after moving here my daughter's asthma has been in the yellow/red zone compared to the home we resided in before. I showed the mold to the asthma specialist and the doctor at the hospital and they stated this plays a huge part in her flare *** and attacks. They advised me that I should not be living in the home and also my baby has been having issues with his asthma and having to go to the hospital. I have had to place my daughter on a very aggressive steroid also and miss a lot of work because of her flare *** and attacks. I have been paying to reside somewhere else so my kids can be comfortable and in a healthy environment. This home was rented to me with some serious maintenance issues that were overlooked and still not fixed and the company wanted to vacate the premises and I was willing if it would have been sensible. What I was offered isa *** in my face. I have lost a lot of money so YES I am having a hardship as *** emphasizes every conversation I have with her. Also I barely make my 40 hours every week because my 2 small children stay sick and I barely make my part time hours at my second job now so yes its a struggle. I know that state assistance is closed. *** and you didn't have to explain that to me. I am not a child, I am a grown woman. I came to this home through a domestic violence program and that is how I was able to receive state assistance and I am not ashamed of this. I thank God that I am alive to be able to tell my story. I do not want any sympathy or anyone to be empathetic. But I would like respect and be treated as a human and not overlooked because I had to get state assistance for the first time in my life. My husband of 15 years took me down, *** took me down, my health after *** took me down and having 2 sickly babies. But this is why I will continue to fight and live my life regardless of what I am going through. Even though I received the state assistance the whole time I was there the rent got paid, Firstkey accepted the money and *** has sent a payment for my balance now. I wanted to bring that up because this is how *** said it to me so I was discriminated against because I have been going through some life changing events and health issues for the last 1.5 years and need some help. I am still not going to let this situation get the best of me. You all do not know my story but I KNOW MY STORY! This can happen to anyone so be careful how you treat and talk to people. So all of this has taken place and I am offered $1000 upfront (where can I move to with that?) Nowhere at all, and then 3 months rent after I return the keys. Now let's be realistic, you have to pay at least 2 times the rent and it is at least *** a month. Application fees and admin fees) You have to pay a deposit for utilities, get a truck, and movers! Then 3 weeks to move and there is a process to apply and wait to be approved. This is a SETUP FOR FAILURE and *** don't forget I have had a hardship since I moved here. even though I came through as a domestic violence recipient and was referred to state assistance.(which has been a great blessing to me.) So I have no choice but to contact a lawyer to see what can be done immediately. I also asked to be transferred to another home in the same district so I don't have to move my children's school. They have been through alot. I was told no because I have a balance but yall are offering to clear my balance, and pay me to vacate. It does not make any sense to me.Now I am tired of typing this is very heartbreaking for a company this big to do their tenants this way. Please send me over corporate information and I need to contact the news stations, Complaintsboard.com etc. Not to mention this is occurring a week and a half before Christmas and my baby's 1st birthday?. I am sure I won't get a reply. I have had several emails to be ignored. I am sure I have a few things missing here but these are the major issues/concerns.
