Due to multiple burns caused by Fitbit Ionic, in February 2022, Fitbit recalled and refunded Ionic wearable devices, with each Ionic receiving a refund of $299. I registered a refund on the Fitbit refund registration website in May 2022 and was informed that Fitbit will receive a refund within 3-6 weeks after registration. However, I did not receive the refund within the promised time. So I contacted Fitbit over the phone and email, and Fitbit has been saying that the relevant departments are reviewing and asking me to be patient. In June 23, Fitbit suddenly stated that it could not verify my refund eligibility and asked me to provide relevant purchase vouchers. Although I did not request these materials during registration, I still provided them after receiving this email. Until September, Fitbit refused my refund request. At this point, I began to believe that the Ionic recall was a scam. After registering for a refund, my Ionic's synchronization function was disabled and cannot be used anymore. In Fitbit's view, my Ionic will not have any burn injuries, so Fitbit will not need a refund.
