My husband discovered an email from this company in his inbox this morning. The email included his email address and a password for his so-called "profile". The email was titled, "Welcome to Fling.com". Funny thing is that when he discovered the email he called me over to the computer and we looked at it together. The "profile" gave a date that he was supposed to have joined the site, only he was in the hospital (w/ no internet access) on the joined date. After looking online I have found that there are many people getting this same type of email. This company should be shut down!
I'm sorry I haven't been on here in a while. Yes, we did check and there was no activity on the account. They actually send you an email saying you joined, then they send another saying someone sent you a message. When you click on the one for someone sent a message, it leads you to a page to enter your credit card info.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
so why haven't they been shut down?
I don't understand why these people haven't been shut down.
My boyfriend got the same email last night. Really freaked me out. It is so scary that these companies rob people of their privacy and make up information and place it on some disgusting dating site! They need to be shut down!
Have you or your husband checked if there were any activities in that profile/?
Were there any activities inside of that profile?
This happened to my and my boyfriend as well, just the other night I found it. He insists he did not and would never join a site like that. I am curious, how did you and your husband handle it? I even called the company and of course they were not help.
Also, there was even a password for the "profile" that we found! Did you or anyone else experience this?
The same exact thing happened to me. I received an email welcoming me to Fling with a password, but I never joined. Furthermore, once I unsubscribed I immediately started to receive spam from various senders with no unsubscribe link. I know this all must have something to do with Fling. These ### are malicious and should be punished accordingly.
I had four emails from these clowns all within one hour and two minutes of each other.
11.08 Welcome to Fling
11.27 Congrats! Sexy_nat69 has requested a photo of you!
11.46 bigbatty11 wants to meet in person.
12.10 These London girls are online now and horny!
Prior to this morning I had never even heard of this site, let alone registered with them. In the same way I do not use the services of prostitutes, I do not pay to find a date. I wish people, meaning everybody and anybody, would never sign up to or buy from spammers because if that was the case they would definately stop doing it.
FURTHER TO THE ABOVE COMMENT, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE TOSSERS RUNNING THIS COMPLAINTS BOARD WANT NOT ONLY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BUT ALSO YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND FULL HOME ADDRESS IN ORDER TO MAKE A COMPLAINT!
aNYBODY EVER WONDER HOW SPAMMERS GET OUR DETAILS?
YES, I PROVIDED MY (FAKE) ONES.
