Florida Power & Light [FPL] review: Electricity

My electric bill has risen from under $100 per month to $180 on the budget plan which goes even higher in the winter even when the A/C is not in use. My usage has not changed and I even got rid of some possible culprits but it still went up again last month! My 85 year old neighbor who doesn't even have a dryer has the same amount. Our houses are under 1000 SF and there is no reason for this kind of hike in rates. We are both of fixed incomes and it's really affecting us negatively. I'm sure we are not the only ones.

This is outrageous and definitely price gouging. There is no excuse whatsoever to do this to unsuspecting customers. I am disgusted with FPL.

I have also had zero help getting palm trees with an FPL wire going right through them and FPL says it's my problem. Nobody will trim trees with a wire the way it is. I just get a no every time except once where they hacked the trees away from the wire a tiny bit but left branches hanging on the wire! It's still a mess and I would like that looked at again too.
