Signed up for services on September 6th with “Aaron”. I was told I need no deposit. Nothing was said that “the credit bureau is down and we may check it in a week and charge a deposit then.”
Was charged $389 a week later. Impossible to get someone on the phone when I finally did I spoke to rep who was unfamiliar on what to do but he was nice and had customer service at least. I was then transferred to someone who told me she can do nothing about it and it can’t be waived and their policy is they may check your Experian a week later and charge you and that they let me know this. I advised I wasn’t told this and she said I’m sorry the rep didn’t inform you and chuckled. I asked for a recording of the call or something in writing showing where I was informed of this on September 6th when I called to set up service. As they’re violating the TCPA and UDAAP, by not informing me beforehand. I was then transferred to another rep and told basically the same thing. No recording or written notice can be sent to me, nor were they willing to have the call reviewed. This is ridiculous, immoral, and deceptive to the American consumer and tax payer for a required utility service that is a Monopoly in the area to do.
Desired outcome: A refund or a recording of the call
