Foxglove Management I never had to pay overage fees before, but now they suddenly appeared

I never had to pay overage fees before, but now they suddenly appeared. They can't explain why they're so high. We've lived here for 3 1/2 years and they've never treated us like this before. I don't know what the property manager is up to. Most of the other tenants I've spoken to have the same problem. It's just not fair.

Foxglove Management The staff never communicate with each other, everyone is always on a different page

The staff never communicate with each other, everyone is always on a different page. Maintenance doesn't know how to keep track of appointments, however if a tenant makes an appointment and it's not there when maintenance arrive they are charged $50, however maintenance can forget about appointments all the time and the tenant never receives compensation. If you need something from Foxglove, you have to call them multiple times a day and make sure that they are doing their job because they are incapable of doing it alone.

These guys should be held accountable for takin money from their tenants illegally. There are plenty of complaints of tenants whose deposit is taken by the business under bogus claims. My complaint has to do with a them takin $60 dollars from me without a justification. When you inquired for an apartment to rent, they make you feel an application for $60. I have no issue with this as far as they give me response within the time that is stipulated in their document (maximum of 48 hrs). I felt the application at the beginning of the month for an apartment whose rent was $500. I have a solid job and excellent credit record. 60 hrs have passed and never received a response. I call and nobody responds. Go personally and still they have no way to justify why no response. The so-called background check is not conducted, they just take the money and serve nothing. At the end, they show me an email sent to a different email address. A mistake from them and since I did not receive an email, technically I was not served. I request my money refunded and they deny without merit. Still a month passed and no email or call was given. They took my $60 and gave me nothing. Who defends customers in these cases? Is the ComplaintsBoard.com of any use? There is no decency and there is no respect for people, business like foxglove is just takin advantage of students because they lack the resources to defend themselves and there's nobody to come in their representation. The manager at this place should is not professional enough to deal with people who challenge their practices. I am still considering to sue. Not that the money is any concern but their lack of accountability. I mean, do they even read the reviews from their customers?

Foxglove Management If I could give Foxglove management a lower score, I would

If I could give Foxglove management a lower score, I would. They are the shadiest leasing company. The owner won't meet with tenants to discuss overages or unit problems. The office employees they hired in the past two years don't even know where the apartments are located. I've called with multiple problems before, and they couldn't even describe the building. Currently, they've been charging other tenants $60-$100 for "electric overages." I've lived in the same unit for almost three years and never been charged this much before. Other tenants agree that Foxglove overcharges and nobody's happy. When you ask the office employees what you went over on, they charge you for a printed copy. But the copy doesn't explain why the overages are so high. They provide no evidence for the increase. This year, they added "renter insurance" to get more money from tenants. Even if we get insurance elsewhere, we still have to pay them a fee each month. Lately, they've been doing apartment inspections without notice, claiming we're subject to them. Men come in without permission to inspect air vents. I don't think they can require us to allow them in without permission. In the past, I've had many problems with them, but this is the worst. In the two and a half years I've lived at Ty Court, they changed my mailbox key twice without permission. Each time, they made me pay to file a report, claiming my key was "jammed." I told them both times that my key was fine, but they denied changing the locks. I had to pay $25 or $50 for each new key. The second time, I couldn't access my mailbox for over 6 months. I filed over five reports with Foxglove, but they never sent anyone to help. I had to pay the fee each time. I ended up paying over $7,000 in collection bills because I couldn't get my medical bills on time. I know my complaint probably won't make a difference since they have so many tenants, but something needs to be done about their management style. I doubt they follow ComplaintsBoard.com regulations.

Foxglove Management We gave back our keys on August 7th

We gave back our keys on August 7th. They said it would take 30-45 days to get our security deposit back. We've been reaching out every week, but they haven't told us when we'll get it. They keep asking for more time. It's been over 60 days now, and we still don't know when we'll get our security deposit back. We really want it back.

This company changed their email without telling us tenants, so we couldn't contact them. Plus, they've been charging us too much for electricity and water by splitting the whole unit and charging like that. Many tenants have reported this. I gave my 30-day notice, but they said they didn't get it because of the email change. But their website still shows the old email, and they didn't tell us about the change. I won't pay extra because it's their fault, and I want Foxglove to explain why they overcharged me. They won't show me the bills from their sources. They also added $25 to our rent each month for a "benefits package," which is just renters insurance and wasn't in our lease. I signed a lease for $725 a month, not $750.

Foxglove Management They turned off our power the day AFTER we paid rent

They turned off our power the day AFTER we paid rent. We tried to understand, but after 7 hours without power, we called back and the manager yelled at us. On 4/7, we paid the rent on the morning of 4/6, and we have proof. They came to our apartment and shut off our power, and now they want to charge us $100 for disconnecting and reconnecting it. They charged us twice on 4/6 and 4/7. We called after not having power for over 7 hours (still don't have it as I type this). The manager was really rude and yelled at us, saying that they provide us with a home and that we should have paid rent between the 1st and 5th of the month. They won't give us any refunds or waive any fees. We've never been late on payments for a whole year. The lease doesn't specifically mention that they will shut off the power. The lease also says that if they do, the reconnection fee will be $30. They waited until business hours to charge us $50 on 4/7, but they charged us $50 the day before even before shutting it off.

Foxglove Management I rented from Foxglove for over 2 1/2 years

I rented from Foxglove for over 2 1/2 years. I am now embarrassed to have ever promoted such a business and warn others of my (well documented) experience. Towards the end of my time (I chose to leave based on these experiences), I endured extreme unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and they withheld money that I was rightfully owed. Just to name a few, management attempted to force an increase of rent addendum within a 1 week period, applied charges that were not identified within the lease, entered my apartment without permission or due reason and claimed they did not. A key issue I had involved being overcharged for utilities as the apartments share expenses despite this not being stated within the lease or ever being disclosed prior to signing. I brought this to the attention of management numerous times, to no avail. In fact, despite following all guidance and instructions from their representatives, which I have documentation of, they did not uphold their end of agreements and took money from my deposit for the issues they promised would be addressed. I was told my issues would be escalated to the owner, whom they initially referenced the name of a person who is no longer living, and then corrected themself to say they are not allowed to tell me who the owner is. The owner never contacted me despite my multiple requests. When I sent my requested documentation proving the promises that were made by active management personnel, I was told that they were no longer with the company and did not uphold claims that were said by such representative. They also overcharged the admin fee on my account. After I brought this up, and it took several more weeks and an entirely new check to get that reimbursed. I feel this company is incredibly untrustworthy, dishonest, and unethical. This company gives a poor reputation for the owner, who has several other businesses within the area. I desire a response from the owner, as I have already spoke to the property manager to no avail.
