Freeway Auto Ins. 4454 Van Nuys Bvld.

Freeway false advertised no down payment on Thursday July 18, 2007. Lou, one of Freeway's agents, lorded me in their office by telling me I would have no down payment and ins at $85 per month. I was told if I got there on Saturday July 21, 2007 at 10:15 AM he could get me at that rate. However, when I got there he first said, "Oh that rate is gone. I can get you a good rate with someone else." I was in that office for over an hour to no avail. He started giving me astronomical quotes all w/down payments of other previsions such as automatic transfers from your checking acct.

Unless you are going through a preferred company, your going through a brokerage... As for the Broker fee. Its negotiable. Insurance is like anything else, there are different quotes for different folks. People complain about paying so much...well don't drive drunk, don't speed, put your kids in seatbelts and car seats, and make a full stop at lights (this is coming from a person with a DUI). Yes they CAN charge up too $485 dollars in Broker fee, but like previous posts, if they save you money with that fee included then they did something right. I work for freeway and apologize to those who've had bad experiences with bad agents. But just like anything else, use common sense and know what your buying. On the other side of the "broker Fee" spectrum, we have clients that haggle and complain and sit there till we onle charger $1 broker fee, and have sat there for 2 hours... and these clients come in month after month swapping cars, asking why the payment is thirty cents different from what was printed out...why is the mustang more expensive than the malibu... Yes these are questions we get from a person whom we will service their policy for the life of the policy.. that was only charged $1! Nobody likes fees... but we do provide a service. As for the person earlier saying you can go through progressive directly..well our rate with them is still cheaper. check it! As for the 15 dollar a month... Well next time you see a car commercial for zero down, 240 a month on a 2011 magnum... read the fine print right! well our commericials have those too..People only hear what they want... Much like everything else.

Free way insurance are liars. They will steal your money so be careful. Even after you cancel the policy they will still remove money from you account and they will not refund it. Please people stay away from them or you will loose.

Tengan mucho cuidado.

Guys its all about education. Of course if you go to a broker they are going to charge a broker fee. Just like you get a hair cut and you pay for that, you have some one clean your house and you pay for that. And yes it is right that some brokers are just out for the sell. I work (Not worked) for Freeway Insurance and I have worked for other brokers like Adrianas (Scam central) and really guys as far as brokers come Freeway Insurance is one of the cleanest brokers out there. It's true there are broker and prouducers that I said are just out for the sell but there are brokers that are educated and helpful and make even more money doing so. The problem is that most of you didn't like to hear the truth over the phone and went with the guy that told you the lowest rate. Lets be honest all you are on here ### about brokers lying on the phone and the price changing when you got there. Did you even give any one else a chance if they qouted you higher? NO! Because you want to hear the lowest rate. If you call I give you a "real qoute" you're just going to go with the car salesmen like broker that gave you 15 dollars a month. Lets get real in this game not only the brokers are screwing you but you are screwing yourself. You call 20, 30 places and then go with the very lowest not the one that was most helpful, you get there and don't want to do the math or reseacrh and then sign every thing with out reading it! You get home and look at you paper work and look at you account and bills and then you feel ripped off. You could have helped yourselfs from the beginning but you were to lazy. And we as brokers just did our job and told you where to sign. We sold you a policy like you asked us to and you agreed to the amount. You get upset that you screwed your self because you were to lazy to ask questions or do the reseach. Well sorry now the broker did his job like you asked him too and now you have to pay him like you agreed to do. I will say this a lot of the brokers that are hired and not expirenced just skip so much and then you get mistakes on policies and clients have ever right to get mad and at that point they have a right to get some type of refund as well. I'm not going to make Freeway Insurance look like the ace here but after working with companies like Adrianas were they slave drive the brokers and pay them nothing and dont have any training, apart from them not having a license, Freeway Insurance is not that bad. And if you give them some time the way the company is changing they are going to work to change the way we do business all together. They are looking at all this. They are looking at your comments. From bottom to top they are paying attention and they don't like it any more than you like it. And we are going to be turning things around. As a long standing agent with the company I'm happy to see that. And I know we will get better. I'm sorry you didn't like what you got but I'm sorry more that the broker did not educate you on what you were getting even more.

Freeway insurance brokers are liars and money stealers. I needed to upgrade to comprehensive and collision coverage and this broker short for Fran****** told me that I had to open up a new policy in order to do so. I guess me being so new to insurance and being young, his dumb butt decides to take advantage of my situation. So he and his boss Fern***** opens us up a new policy with the sane insurance company I previously had. They ask for $400 for the insurance first month and the broker fee. Well I did not have they said i could pay in increments. I pay $250 as a down payment and that I would have to come back in a week to pay whatever I can. They told me to cancel my liability insurance because I did not need the other policy. Well a week later I call my previous insurance broker (from freeway insurance) to tell her of the situation and and she tells me that all I needed to do was upgrade my previous policy. I was like "What?! I didn't need to open a new policy?!" She said no you didnt need to. Now angry that I am I call my insurance company and ask if I only needed to upgrade and they said yes it was true. So I call back the Fran guy and I say hey corporate said you didn't not have to open up a new policy for me, I wanna cancel the one with you and get my money back. He said oh okay let me see what I can do I'll call you back. Ten min later he calls and says okay I cancelled the policy with us and your getting $ 353 back and I was like okay bye. So I woke up next morning and called my insurance too see if this guy cancels the policy with them. The customer rep said that Fran cancelled my previous policy that I wanted to keep and upgrade with no broker fee and what not. The customer rep resolved the conflict and cancels my policy with Fran and returnb my first month back to me. So I call Fran and tell him what happend and he talks to me like he didn't know what happend. He said oh did that happen they must of made a mistake. So his coward butt transfers him to the manager Fern and I tell him what happend. Ofcourse he's gonna side with his employee and I told him I want my money back and that this false advertisement shizz aint fair. I told him that they should of known better and to just of upgrade our insurance.Fran said I was just trying to get you good rates. I was like yea sure. So he goes ahead and issues me a refund that will arrive to me in the mail. If they lie to me about my refund or if they charge my card without my consent, all hell is gonna break lose! Im gonna be a social worker so this type of injustice should be stopped!

WOW, people, you guys are amazing, I am also an employee for Freeway Insurance Co... The Greatest company Ever...Hehe, Jk, but I am an employee in the Hawthorne office. 1st, In every company you'll have bad apples so dont let one bad apple ruin your mentality towards an insurance company. With this said, dont get screwed twice either. Do your homework, go to dmv, pull your driving record, SHOP AROUND in person, not over the phone (go into 7 different offices or companies). You'll see what you been missing. As i said, i am a broker, so if i spent 2 hours explaining your ### how insurance works and all different coverages, YOU SWEAR I AM NOT GOING TO GET PAID FOR IT.
About the $15 a month...This is what i tell the customers that sit infront of me...Brother/Sister if EVERYBODY paid $15 a month, YOU FREAKEN swear the innocent bystander you just crashed into or ran over because you were drunk and speeding will be covered to the fullest. I ask them, "if i crash and destroy your car, but i am only paying $15 dollars a month, WHO THE HELL is going to pay for your losses" We as brokers get paid crap like a previous agent posted, but one thing about me (also a top agent in the company) we do really good because referrals. Yes we kind of lie over the phone, but remember over the phone you are getting "A QUOTE", whats a QUOTE, its an ESTIMATE and last time i checked and Estimate is not an EXACT. 99% of the people would not like EXACT numbers over the phone, they would continue shopping until they found someone who LIED and gave them a LOW BALL QUOTE. My customers leave the office with COMPLETE knowledge of coverages and insurance options. REMEMBER, brokers and contractors and all kinds of workers CHARGE FOR THEIR SERVICE. And like other person posted, FREEWAY is cleaning up the bad apples, and i love that. You guys want to really get screwed and come out feeling dirty out of an office, go get an insurance policy at ADRIANAS lol you'll really know what "Fked up, scanless bs they do"

WOW! Did that person call him or herself a "Top Agent with Freeway? I do not understand how would anyone by an insurance policy from that company. Their employees are represented in much detail here on complaint board. I agree with insurance watcher, something has got to be done to stop the lack of professionalism at Freeway Insurance. People, almost anyone can get an insurance license. I have had mine for more than 15 years. I am a former employee of Freeway. I left many years ago. I just could not stomach the "boiler room / sweat shop" atmosphere that existed at FWI back then, and is now 100 times worse . Their "top agent" really has a grasp of the English language. Top Agent really "splains" him / herself really well. Freeway employees do not last in this industry very long. I have known many former employees that have left both FWI and the industry for many reasons. If reading the words written by "Top Agent"(and the other employees of FWI) is any indication as to who is presently selling, servicing and conducting the day to day business at FWI, then they are in really big trouble. The standard, professionalism and character of the people who work there is suspect. Last time I checked words like ethics, moral character, honesty and trustworthiness are still big part in any industry - especially for the insurance industry. To lie to customers as you say it top agent is deceitful and wrong. My advise to all who read my post is to start from page 1 and read about all of the post that real people have posted here. Read the half brain proclamations That the FWI employees have posted on this web domain.

At least top agent is honest about coming clean about the "lies" they use at FWI to trick you into buying their brokered insurance.

This company is dishonest. They lie over the phone to lure you into the office, promissing no down payment, and low monthly rates. I KNOW I WORKED THERE FOR YEARS.
Once you're in the office, they change things, higher monthly rate and HUGE down payment, which includes a BROKER FEE OF UP TO $485 ! Most people do not have clean driving records, so if you have one point (speeding ticket, etc) or two points (DUI, etc) they will use that to their FULL ADVANTAGE TO RIP YOU OFF ! If you have a clean driving record, they are trained to make up lies on the spot, for example, your vehicle not being registered in your name.
If you make changes on your exisiting policy (add or drop a car, change address, change coverage, etc), they will LIE and quote a high price with your existing policy in order to convince you to change to a new policy because that way you can be charged a BROKER FEE and the broker will also receive commissison on the new insurance policy as well. Brokers receive commission on the broker fee and for the insurance policy. The pay rate commission at Freeway is LOW, so brokers (Freeway is a BROKERAGE OFFICE meaning they shop their insurance companies for rates, the people selling are the brokers) are trained to mislead and cheat customers, if they do not meet a certain quota, then they receive minimum wage.

The Parent Company of Freeway Ins. also own Southcoast Insurance, Solo Insurance and other brokerage offices, so the SAME THING goes on there. DO NOT SHOP THERE.
Freeway Insurance is also being sued by employees for unpaid overtime, along with other allegations.

Come on people stop being ignorant, do you really think people are going to work for free? If you think that freeway insurance or any insurance company is ripping you off then go to a preferred company they don't charge any broker fee, but come on if you have your license suspended, a DUI, 3 speeding tickets and 2 accidents do you think that they are going to take the risk and get your bussiness, the answer is no, or if they do take your bussiness the monthly payment will be $250.00, would you rather pay $200.00 to a broker and get you monthly payment down to $110.00? That is my experience with freeway, i really save a lot of money because they have a lot of companies to choose from and to be honest i don't really have the time to be shopping around and be on the phone all day, they do the shopping for you obviusly they need to get paid for their service.

Stop crying about fees, lawyers, insurance brokers, mechanics, car salesmen charging fees, WOULD YOU WORK FOR FREE?

Freeway Insurance is not a direct company. As long as you guys keep going through a broker you will always be robbed. all drivers with clean record should not be paying a broker fee. go directly with mercury or on your own computer go through progressivedirect.com one thing i will tell you guys out of all the agencies freeway insurance is without a doubt the biggest rip off. dont be fooled the broker fee is included in the downpayment. the higher the downpayment the higher the broker fee. the broker fee is negotiable. do not let them tell you it is the cheapest. no matter what plan you take you should not pay anymore than $40 over your monthly payment as you initial payment.. if you are paying too much more on your first payment than what your actual monthly payment is... you are being ripped off. you guys complain about being lied to or deceived. i have the best solution for you. department of insurance. go to search california department of insurance and the website includes the phone number, this is worst than throwing the cops on them. if you guys hate them that much and want them shut down for their dishonest business all they need is enough department of insurance complaints and they will be shut down.

all these agencies that are providing you with infinity, foremost, and progressive you can get your policy directly through the company without paying a broker fee even with a bad record. example: you have 3 tickets and your monthly payment is $80 and the broker says all wee need today is $500. this is a $420 dollar broker fee which of course they are not honest enough to tell you that because then you will run faster than speedy gonzalez. what they tell you is that it is included in the value of the year. this is ###. if you go direct with a company at the most you will pay if your monthly payment is $80 you will pay $100 covering your first month and then you pay nothing else until your monthly is due. just dont get robbed, i wish someone wouldve let me know. if they did anything you feel is dishonest or unfair, speak to the corporate office and if they dont want to give you a full refund then let them know you will proceed with department of insurance. i guarantee they will be on their knees refunding your money because they want to stay in business to rob the money of the uninformed customers. they will charge you $100 for changes to your policy that can be avoided by making changes directly with the insurance company. these are some tips to prevent you guys from getting robbed like i got robbed by freeway multiple times until i finally did my research and spoke to the proper people. if you want to add a vehicle no matter what vehicle it is they will exaggerate the price so that they can open a new policy through another carrier and then charge another broker fee. make your changes online or over the phone directly with the company to avoid getting screwed.

the funniest part of all is when you have a clean record you will end up paying less even on the monthly installement through a direct company than with freeway. so no broker fee and lower monthly payment. and when you make a monthly payment in the office or changes to the policy there are no further agency or broker fees.stop getting pimped by these lame agencies, they have a license to steal. any problems with your policies remember you can always go to the department of insurance and they will handle most complaints that are rational.

DO NOT BUY YOUR AUTO INSURANCE FROM: FREEWAY INSURANCE, SOLO INSURANCE AND SOUTHCOAST INSURANCE, THEY ARE BROKERAGE OFFICES OWNED BY THE **** SAME PARENT COMPANY ****** . I WAS A FORMAL EMPLOYEE AND KNOW THE INS AND OUTS OF FREEWAY INSURANCE (WHERE I WAS EMPLOYEED AS A BROKER FOR YEARS).

EMPLOYEES ARE TRAINED AND PRESSURED TO LIE AND CHEAT CUSTOMERS OUT OF THEIR MONEY BY CHARGING HIGH BROKER FEES (UP TO $485, THE EMPLOYEE RECEIVES A SMALL COMMISSION RATE FROM THIS ALONG WITH A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE POLICY AMOUNT).
EMPLOYEES ARE EXPECTED TO LIE AND SAY PRETTY MUCH WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SELL THAT POLICY AND GET THAT BROKER FEE OUT OF YOU ! I READ SOME OF THE COMMENTS POSTED AND AM NOT SURPRISED THAT SOME EMPLOYEES WILL GO AS FAR AS TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE TO NOTIFY THE DMV THAT THEIR *** PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMER IS NOT INSURED *** (THIS IS A BLATANT LIE, TO PRESSURE AND TRICK YOU INTO BUYING), THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE ! WHEN AN
INSURANCE POLICY IS CANCELLED BY THE ACTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY, THAT COMPANY WILL NOTIFY THE DMV THAT THE CUSTOMER'S POLICY HAS BEEN CANCELLED, THEN THE DMV WILL SUSPEND THE REGISTRATION UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS INSURED.
IF A CUSTOMER CURRENTLY HAS A POLICY WITH FREEWAY INSURANCE AND WOULD LIKE TO ADD/DROP A CAR, CHANGE COVERAGES, ETC, THE EMPLOYEE IS TRAINED AND PRESSURED TO QUOTE A FICTICIOUS HIGH PRICE IN ORDER TO CONVINCE THE CUSTOMER TO BUY A NEW POLICY
( WITH A DIFFERENT INSURANCE COMPANY, THAN THE ONE THEIR CURRENTLY WITH) AND OF COURSE BE CHARGED ANOTHER BROKER FEE . THERE ARE OTHER DISHONEST PRACTICES TO LONG TO LIST !
*** *** *** HERE'S A VERY HELPFUL TIP: BROKER FEES ARE NEGOTIABLE, MEANING YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT (NOT ONE CENT), EVEN IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY THE POLICY FROM THEM ****** TELL THEM YOU WILL ONLY PAY THE SUBMISSION AMOUNT OF THE POLICY (MEANING WHAT THE ACTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY REQUIRES TO INSURE YOU ), AND MAKE SURE THAT ON THE "BROKER AGREEMENT FORM" IT STATES 0 BROKER FEE. *** *** ***
THIS COMPANY IS ALSO BEING SUED BY IT'S EMPLOYEES AND FORMER EMPLOYEES FOR UNPAID OVERTIME, ALONG WITH OTHER ALLEGATIONS.
THIS PARENT COMPANY RIPS IT'S CUSTOMERS OFF AND EMPLOYEES !

The concept I find myself agreeing with nowadays (after getting my insurance license and working in various brokerages) is that anything that is essential to your day to day living, like auto and health insurance let's say, should be socialized. Why? To get rid of the profit, which gets rid of the incentive to lie and cheat to get more profit.

In this case the state should take care of the rates and the coverages, because the state is the mofo that is requiring you to have insurance. That's how these big scams work, you have a big authority, like the state, telling you have to abide by certain laws, and the law of the free market in this commercialized country comes into play and you have a bunch of private companies trying to exploit you having to abide by those certain laws, where if the actual authoritive entity requiring you to follow those laws provided the means within itself, sans third party, of cooperating with those requirements, then everything would be a lot simpler and probably cheaper.

freeway insurance is the BIGGEST! fraudulent insurance agency out there period... I am a current broker/employee for this company We are trained in Sacramento, in the corporate office for one purpose and that is to LIE that's right the only thing this company is good at is to lie to their employees and the customers. First they'll teach us how to get people into our offices, because nothing is more important to this company than to get you into one of there offices, and how they do that is simple they lie to you over the phone. When someone is looking for a quote, the agent will sweet talk you just to get you into their office. He/she will try to get very minimal information off of you over the phone, so that way when you come into the office and the price changes they'll have BUMPS, thats what they call it when they have something on the person that wasn't disclosed over the phone, for example... driving experience, VIN# on the car, with or without a valid California DL. and many other rating factors. So when you go into an office the agent will build rapport with their client to get him or her to buy the policy. Freeway insurance is the largest brokerage in California in order for them to stay on top of their game they need to charge high broker fees. So if an agent presents to you a quote sheet with liability and uninsured motorist if you maybe have one ticket on your driving record you shouldn't be paying no more than 20$ over your monthly payment anything over than that is there broker fee. No matter how sweet the deal looks, don't pay anything above 30$ over the policy monthly payment.Trust me if the agent can't sell you that policy the office manager will step in to give you his manger discount, ###! they're just lowering their broker fees don't let them. I can go on and on about this but if you know that you have a good driving record stay far away from freeway insurance as possible, because at the end they'll just take your $$$$ without telling you. Go to a preferred company like AAA, Progressive Direct, GEICO, Farmers, Allstate or any other companies.

Even though I work there I still disagree how our top mangement is forcing us agents/producers write policies. It is all about charging a HIGH Broker Fee! Us producers get very little, only the small percentage of the fee that we charge. I'm asking myself very often is how much would I pay someone to write me a policy and I answer myself that I would not pay anyone more than $100, and you better same me a some money and provide decent coverages. My only suggestion to potential clients is SHOP, SHOP SHOP...Call every single insurance co. under the sun to compare the rates, especially if you have clean driving record. Just because they say that they are the cheapest, that does not mean they are, don't ever fall for that. And also understand, insurance agent also has to eat and pay bills, therefore there is nothing wrong with paying a REASONABLE broker fee for our services. In my opinion REASONABLE Broker Fee should not be more than $100.

I mean I work customer service too..so I try to be more patient. but this ghetto chola girl was the agent that helped me ...it took a whole half hour for her to give me a quote..then they take your car papers away in a stupid little room and they don't give em back till the end...anyways...she took forever...so finally after almost an hour since I got there...I told her just give me the quotes cause I gotta leave...the Chola got angry and man seriously they have bad customer service..all the girls there looked like they were going to a club and were yatting amongst them...I don't recommend anyone going there..freaking expensive...I got the same coverage at mercury and bout 150 bucks less and I was in n out in 15 min.

Too all the people crying on here, the only reason u get charged so much is cuz ur a pain in the butt. U wanna pay nothing yet they also need to make there money, they only get a percentage of it and its very small. They can charge u 350 and only get like 40 out of it and only reason is to put up with everything u guys complain about it. If u get an an accident ur not calling the insurance company they put u with, ur calling them. Any little thing that happens u depend on them to fix it. If u ain't paying anything then y would they wanna spend the time to help your cheap ases.

Dear Insurance Shoppers,

I will save you from a nighmare Insurance Agent and agency. Freeway Insurance is horrible, customer service is horrible, broker fees are too high.

I am a very unhappy customer. I was very patient but keft getting thrown aside becasue they didn't care. I had already put down huge sums ($350) for depost to add a car to an existing policy. My payment was getting withdrawn automactically so wheater they took care of me or not they didn't care. My broker Sue Whittle (SHE IS NOT HELPFUL BUT WILL CANCEL EXISTING POLICY TO HAVE HIGHER COMMISION) and the manager Luis Aguilar are simply not very honest people.

I went into Freeway Insurance because they had given me a Auto Insurance Policy Quote which was a savings of $80.00/yr. over what I am paying. When I got to the office, Ivonne Chavez was working with a client who was very upset because he was told one thing on the phone and now, in the office, Ms. Chavez was telling him a different story.
After I filled out paperwork etc. and waited for 20 minutes, the same happened to me. I showed Ms. Chavez the quote I had been given over the phone for a one year policy. She looked at it and insisted she needed my driver's license, and my car's registration. She then started surfing on her computer looking for an insurance company to assign me to. She is a broker and I already did that. Then she asked me if I have my marriage license with me for another discount? Shoot, I've been driving in CA for 47 years, married nearly 40.
After a half hour Ivonne Chaves tells me she cannot find a cheaper rate than what I have now with Loya Insurance. All that time wasted and I'm not happy that my so called $100.00 discount I was given over the phone was now a lie too. I told Ms. Chavez she wasted my time. And now she says she should be treated with respect, when I've been lied to and treated like a peon?
I don't like to deal with people who lie to me. You make up your own mind. I know from experience when the business starts with lies it only gets worse. I recommend you go some where one is told the truth.
Now they have a lot of information on me to sell.

Thats with all brokers it's rare that you get an honest quote. Freeway trains their brokers to bring you into their offices and from there on they will do anything possible to keep you from getting up. The average broker fee for them is $175 they start from 395 and from there they bring it down. . I worked for them not by choice they are buying a lot of agencies in southern California .

What really irritates me is that Ivonne Chavez treated me like an idiot. She was training another young woman on the "routine." I was pissed as I walked out the door, after Ms. Chavez said I should speak to her better etc., she and her little trainee both laughed their butts off at me like the whole incident of gettng me upset was so humerous. Then, with all the information they had collected on me, FreeWay Insurance started calling me and leaving me phone messages to call their office. The whole gang of offices should be droned. Scams are the same as terrorists! I.E. not good for America and NOT GOOD for good honest folks.

I AM AN INSURANCE AGENT, THESE COMPANIES LIKE FREEWAY, ADRIANA'S, OTHER BS COMPANIES ADVERTISING $0 DOWN $15 A MONTH ARE LIARS! YOU CONSUMERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT IT DOES NOT EXIST! IT IS ILLEGAL! THERE IS NO FREE INSURANCE!
I GET CALLS ALL DAY LONG FOR QUOTES AND MOST OF THE "VERY INTELLIGENT CONSUMERS" DO NOT BELIEVE MY REAL QUOTE BECAUSE THEY SPOKE TO ONE OF THE LYING UNLICENSED AGENTS OF THESE LYING COMPANIES THAT TOLD THEM IF THEY COME IN TO THE OFFICE THEY CAN GET A POLICY FOR $15 OR EVEN BETTER(2 FOR 1) WHAT THE HECK IS THAT! ARE YOU BUYING PIZZA?. IT'S CALLED A BAIT AND SWITCH PEOPLE! WHICH I HATE DOING BECAUSE IT IS BS!
UNFORTUNATELY THESE DIRT-BAG COMPANIES ADVERTISING THIS NONSENSE HAS MADE OTHER HONEST INSURANCE AGENTS LOOK BAD. IT IS SAD TO SAY THAT THESE GUYS WILL EVENTUALLY TAKE OVER THE INSURANCE BROKER BUSINESS BECAUSE OF THE MASS ADVERTISING THEY DO SPENDING MILLIONS OF $$$ AND THE SMALL INSURANCE AGENCY ARE NOT ABLE TO COMPETE,

PEOPLE! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL INSURANCE AGENCIES! NOT THESE OFFICES WITH UNLICENSED AGENTS WRITING POLICIES!

i went into the santa ana office on 17th st. the manager there was sort'a training this girl, his name iam not sure of but i am going to find out because i am going to do everthing i can to have this stoppped now. well what happened was he was giving me a quote on some insurance in which i thought well maybe i should. i gave him a down payment of $ 49.00 and told him i would have to go and see if i could get some more money. well when i left i stopped at another place, and sure enough i was getting ripped off, so right there in another insurance office i call freeway back and told them i am not going thru with this. i never signed anything at that time, i still have not gotten my $49.00 back and then they tell me to come back to the office to sign cancelltion papers, it was acutally a contract, these people are sleazy and i am going to persure this to this highest court.

The people here who defended Freeway sound like they work for them. There's way too many detailed, similar horror stories here as well as on other sites for them to be unfounded or told by 'crazy' people. Thanks for all your posts-- you saved me from falling into their trap, which I REALLy don't need right now (who ever does, but I'm on a fixed, very low income with huge medical debt--which seems to be exactly the sort of vulnerable type these low-lifes target). So sorry so many of you had to find out the hard way. Can't believe they haven't been wiped out by a class-action suit, the ###. Don't know how some people live with themselves sometimes.

I 'm the one who posted the last comment. I forgot to mention something. I thought I already posted it, but for some reason, it disappeared. Anyway, I wanted to say that I called the number that Freeway advertised on TV. It was after hours, so I got voicemail, which said I could go to costulessdirect.com to get a free quote. I went there, but the site just says "CostULess Insurance" (of various sorts, including auto)--absolutely no mention of Freeway, not even if one clicks on the auto insurance heading. So, I'm just speculating, but I wonder if CostULess is yet another one of Freeway's sheep's clothing, perhaps in response to all the posts from furious customers here and on other sites. So, just beware.
