I like ready to heat meal services
I like ready to heat meal services. I enjoyed Fresh-n-Lean for a few months and wanted to take a break. An improvement would allow selection of specific proteins. I like shrimp and whitefish but not salmon, yet I had to decline seafood to avoid salmon. In one delivery, I received two salmon dishesmistakes happen, so I wrote it off with some disappointment. Good variety of meals, and I selected a plan that met macro needs of protein, veggies, and complex carbs. Packaging was not excessive. And, I kept some of the chill packs for use in cooler and to ice aching muscles from my workouts.

I have been using Fresh n' Lean in the middle through pandemic. I have used several other ready-to-heat meal services and so far Fresh n Lean provides the best food quality. The presentation, the packaging and the taste. Regarding delivery, despite once or twice when there were issues, the customer service team was very responsive and the issues were reconciled in a reasonable way. Here I provide a 5 star rating, to encourage and hope the business can maintain the quality of the food and its strength, and keep striving to improve other aspects so it can stand out from similar food delivery brands.

One thing I wasnt a fan of the breakfasts; a lot of them were oatmeals that, for my purposes, is easy enough for me to make fresh at home. Overall, such a good experience way, way better than eating frozen Lean Cuisines that are not very filling!
These meals are Convenient. Tasty. Cost effective. Gluten free. Great service
Our schedule is very busy during the week and *** improves our ability to work efficiently. The time saved on grocery shopping, as well as planning and cooking meals for the week is invaluable. We have stress-free evenings, and eat good and healthy food together as a family. We have used this service for several months and it has always been delivered on time.

The new system is very convenient to manage orders, it allows customers to postpone a shipment and/or edit plan items. I've been ordering since January and while there were some shipping issues due to COVID-19 initially, they were responsive in rectifying the situation. My only wish would be for more sustainable packaging, as my area does not recycle much of the packaging. I can recycle the actual meal container and the shipping but nothing else."

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent customer service. Im an airline pilot, it fits perfectly into my travel cooler and meets every need I have. I save literally hundreds of dollars a month on food using fresh n lean.

Overall the food has been very good. I will ding them on the packaging however. Several times now one or more ice packs will become damaged during the shipping process. The end result is that the liquid leaks out and all but disintegrates the inner lining and cardboard box.

My husband and I have been enjoying our meals since January. There have been a few incidents where our food did not arrive, but that was due to shipping not the company. Their customer service team was quick to respond via email and provide a refund and/or expedited response from the shipper. I believe all of this correlates to shipping issues due to the pandemic, and fully appreciate how they have handed each issue. As the company grows it would be nice to be able to have a profile to show meals received that may not be your preference. Having said that I have never had a meal that was inedible, only one that is not necessarily my favorite.
I love the food
I love the food. I have eaten from the Whole 30, Paleo, Classic and Protein+ menus. All are fantastic. I took one star away for customer service. Not that it is bad; but before the company had a website that you could contact them, make changes to your subscription, etc - it was near impossible to talk to someone. Plus the amount of food restrictions I have make mistakes not uncommon in my food selections. I predominantly eat from the Paleo menu but now (because of blood tests) have switched to Protein+. The switch was easy and I was able to do it myself through my account on their website. If things continue to improve this way I will rereview and give them 5 stars.
This company is horrible
This company is horrible. I started my subscription for 10 meals (5 lunch and 5 breakfast). I received my food with no variety at all. Double of everything and on top of that the food was HORRIBLE. I tried chatting with their customer support on Sunday 11/1 and nobody got back to me at all. I also tried calling and was left with no answer. I finally got in touch with them on 11/5 and they tell me it is too late to cancel my subscription for a refund. So now I have to pay $108 for food that I will not eat because it's horrible. A company that stood by their food would make sure all customers are happy regardless. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a meal prep company that you avoid Fresh N' Lean.

I want to corroborate some of the experiences I've read written before mine. I cannot find an easy way to cancel subscription, despite that the come-on suggests easy cancellation. I called four days ago to cancel and was ostensibly put in a phone queue to be answered within 48 hours. Never got a response. Meanwhile, I'm now beholden to pay for a second week of meals that I do not want. And don't even get me started about the quality of the food. With this food as an option, I'd prefer higher protein options from McDonalds (because I actually like McDonalds, but don't eat it for health reasons). This company need's to work on its service design concept. As soon as I'm able to do so I'm unsubscribing. I hope I can find a way to do it.

DO NOT give your money to these people. You can not even access your account information on their website. There is no "Login" button. Then, it is impossible to get ahold of them on the phone. I just wanted to change my meal plan (as you can on many of these website). When I couldn't even do that on the website, I tried calling. I was on hold for 48 minutes and then had to go to work. I tried later in the day. Same thing. When I finally figured out how to cancel my subscription via their website (which was not easy and I am an tech savvy 44 year old elementary school teacher ) I realized that I would have to pay for another week because I missed the cut off date for canceling the order for the next week. This is a scheme! This is how they make more money. I can't believe this business is still in existence. HUGE RED FLAGS!

We received a Gift for Fresh and Lean
We received a Gift for Fresh and Lean...when i did finally get to talk to someone & order breakfast meals, we received them 3 days later then told. Now I called two days in a row to spend the rest of our gift card on lunch meals, had to leave our phone # twice, the voice mail said that someone would call within two hours..no call as of yet! I am very displeased with this company. If they state two hours & no one calls with a whole day ahead- then something is wrong with this company. I would never order from them again, First of all it's very very hard to talk to anyone, and then they never call back! I will tell my son to call the credit card Company & get his $$ back, it's not worth the Aggravation. They sent a e-mail saying we will get a free week of meals because the first delivery was three days late...good luck with that promise ! Mrs.

I've been using this meal service for over a year now and love it. The food is really delicious, they provide a great variety of meals, I find the pricing to be very reasonable, and they have excellent customer service. I communicate with them via Facebook Messenger and they're very responsive and quick to handle all my requests. At the beginning of my service, I had some issues contacting them via phone but I think that was because it was the start of the COVID pandemic so things were all screwy with every company so I don't hold this against them. I did reach out to them via email and the response was a bit slow, but again it was the beginning of the pandemic so everything was amiss. Once I found out they were on Facebook Messenger, that was a game changer! I got responses within 24-hours. They are quick to make service changes according to my requests with no questions asked (address changes, vacation holds, skip some weeks, etc.)...they are always accommodating! I give Fresh 'N Lean 5-STARS for everything!

BEWARE! Non existent customer service! Go elsewhere for this service. I wish I would have done a little more research before subscribing blindly - lesson learned! Once they have you on the hook, good luck with getting anyone to assist you. I've been attempting to cancel my subscription since 5/16. I've left several messages (no one answers the phone) and emailed. As I write this on 5/19...crickets. One thing they are good at is charging your card! I followed up several times on Monday morning 5/18, before noon PST, their cut off time, and left several messages (all before noon PST) and also emailed. Of course, they were quick to charge my card for the subscription that I've been attempting to cancel! Mind boggling. Save yourself a lot of time and headaches and go elsewhere! I have yet to try the food but given the yelp reviews, it sounds like the food is mediocre, at best. Now, I'm not even looking forward to the food that is sitting in my fridge. Beyond disappointed. I've never experienced such horrible customer service with any merchant.

Fresh n Lean is a No-Go: Stay Away! Disgusting meals and terrible customer service on planet! Stay away from these fraudsters. They will charge your card before the item is shipped and if you have any issues with your order, they won't issue a refund. My first order had a long hair in one of the dishes. Some of the food smells bad when opened. Other services notify before the next shipment, but not Fresh n Lean. I asked them to cancel my remaining order; they ignored it and sent the next one anyway. I returned the order but wasn't refunded my $111. They sent this email instead: Hey there! Sorry to keep you waiting, we're addressing your request amidst a high volume of emails. We aim to respond soon. Meanwhile, visit our FAQ page for possible answers to your questions. Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you, Karina

I've been subscribed to Fresh N Lean for 5 months now and I find most of the food to be very tasty. I love that all the packaging is recyclable, too! While I have experienced some of the challenges documented by previous reviews, I have been very happy with the product. Also, I do believe FnL is maturing their online service to allow customers to manage their own accounts and subscriptions, so some of the issues outlined by previous reviews will be resolved. Prior to the changes they are making to their customer online accounts though, customers were required to contact customer service, which has limited hours. Being used to doing everything online and instantaneously, it is sometimes difficult to adjust to a product/service that has a slower response time or that requires a set time for changes to be made. However, customer service has always been courteous and professional and has resolved any issues to my satisfaction. I, too experienced a time when the product was sent by FnL, but not delivered by the shipping company. I was relying on that food as I was eating strictly Keto, so I was required to buy something from the store, but FnL reimbursed me for the late delivery in a reasonable amount of time. I've also requested several changes and they've adjusted accordingly.

Since my husband will be out of town in the middle of an out of the way area, getting off work at midnight every night, we decided to get Fresh and Lean for him for easy, ready to eat meals. The first week went without a hitch (with some doubles of some meals). We ordered our second meal delivery with a guaranteed delivery date of Saturday, March 20th. By 4pm, the package was still not delivered. I called and FnL assured me that it will be delivered by 7pm. By 6:45pm, the package was still undelivered. I called FnL back and I asked them to call the shipping company to check on the status of the package. Joey (CS) said he will call me right back but never did. So my husband never received lunch and dinner for Saturday. I called 5 times on Sunday but nobody picked up so I tried the chat button several times but it wasn't working. Their hours are 7am to 7pm daily. Since no one has reached out to us via email or phone, we are left in the dark about the status of our order. I have no idea IF and WHEN my husband will be receiving his order. So I proceeded to file a refund request on FnL's website along with sending them an email with the history of the issue. After submitting the refund request, a pop up notified us to wait for further instructions. I also contacted my credit card company and started a dispute on the charge. As of March 22nd, our refund request is still showing as pending on our account with no other communication from this company. In conclusion: - Fresh n Lean never delivered the product at all - Fresh n Lean never communicated with us to update us on the status of our paid for order - As of March 22nd (two days later), our refund status is still pending approval by FnL - As of March 22nd, our order has not arrived - So Fresh n Lean has our money and we never received our food While the refund request may take a couple of days to get approved, FnL never communicated with us about how to make up for not delivering food for two days (third day today, March 22nd) while holding onto our money or at least to let us know what happened to the delivery. So Fresh n Lean has not approved our refund request yet and also has not delivered the food we have paid for. All this with absolutely no communication from the company. One unhappy customer like us won't make a difference in their business but business ethics and practices like this are never a good sign. Thankfully there are other companies we can give our business to.

A was just wondering about this type of food service and I was doing some speculation to know the menu and the final cost. The site isn’t clear and I didn’t want to make any subscription. They simply charged me and I only saw when I opened my email box at night with a email confirmation of my subscription. They immediately took the money from my bank account. I don’t want any food and I want my money back. After 1 hour I managed to cancel the subscription, the website is purposefully very confusing, but it doesn't say anything about when they will refund my payment back to my account.

I have been trying to get in contact with a member of the customer support team since Sunday, February 14. Today I tried calling the customer support number and no one answered after I had been on hold for over an hour. I am currently on hold and still have yet to speak with anyone. I also requested a call back and sent another follow-up email. I know there might be increased calls due to the pandemic, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

I was to receive my order on Saturday, December 12, but the delivery never occurred. When I reached out to them, they stated they would refund me for both weeks since I canceled the service. Upon examination of my credit card account, they only refunded me for one (1) week. On Monday, December 14, the delivery was attempted but the box was dripping wet, the ice packs were melted, and the meals were room temperature. I refused to accept the package as the food has already gone bad. To this date, I have not received the other refund as promised.

I've repeatedly tried to cancel my fresh n lean subscription. I've emailed and called customer service. I've been on hold an hour or more each time I call. I finally give up. I've tried their on line chat, but it doesn't work. They give no option to cancel other than calling. I've contacted A *** and have put this in dispute. They require proof of cancellation, but there is no way to contact the company. I am currently on hold as I write this. This has been ongoing for months. I think this is a disreputable company. i have been trying to cancel for months.

They problem is that on their website there is no way to cancel membership or even change my credit card information. They only way to contact them is by email or phone. I have sent two emails with no response. I called and was on hold for over thirty minutes when finally I was told to leave a message or hang up. This is no way to run a business even during this pandemic. This operation appears to be a scam. I do not want to do business with a company that obviously has no desire to communicate with its customers.

I have been receiving orders for Fresh and Lean for less than a year. When I wanted to delay or skip shipments in the past, I would open a chat with them and it was easy. I tried to cancel end of last year and they convinced me to stay on with free snacks. 1.5 weeks ago I attempted to chat with them to delay a shipment again. The chat didn't work and I sent an email. I have since sent 3 emails and called twice with no response. They have continued to charge my card and send me meals that I didn't ask for. I am now trying to cancel again and can't get ahold of them, they are non-responsive. I am having to dispute charges with my credit card and may have to cancel my credit card if they won't stop charging it and wont' let me cancel

I received my first order from Fresh N lean on 12/19. I placed a one time order for 5 days worth of meals. I ordered meals that adhered to a specific lifestyle and they did not meet the criteria upon delivery. I did eat one of the meals within the use by date and was sickened. I made numerous attempts to contact them via telephone with no answer. On 2/3 they delivered an additional set of meals and charged my account. On 2/4 another additional set of meals was delivered and charged to my account. Again, I was not able to communicate with them via telephone and sent email correspondence. I still have not received a response from this company. This company exhibits many traits of a predatory business. I should not have to pursue legal action to simply recover my loss and unsubscribe.

I ordered a one week subscription of Keto meals from Fresh N' Lean for $218.00. The following week I received a notification stating that *** was shipping another weeks worth of food, which I didn't order. I have called the company and emailed them only to not have any of my calls or emails returned. I am in the process of purchasing a home and would like to avoid any collection and credit discrepancies. After no returned call or email I received a third email stating *** was once again sending another weeks worth of meals. I was out of town when the second delivery arrived and upon returning home I found a spoiled box of food. I would like this to stop and since the company will not reach back out to me I am forced to file this complaint. I am currently disputing all charges to my account from this company.

I am unable to cancel my subscription to this company's services. I have filled out an electronic form on their website, sent multiple emails, made multiple phone call attempts, and via the phone number requested a call back, all of which have totally failed to result in any type of communication from the company other than automated responses. I have just made note of a third charge to my account, making it the second one since I began my attempts at cancellation. Later today I will be visiting my bank and attempting to halt any funds from going to this company. I believe that this organization has intentionally made a nearly impossible to cancel system, in order to force individuals to give them money for a service that is no longer desired. Lastly, I would like to add that I have reached out on their social media pages as well, in a last ditch effort to find some kind of contact within the organization. Also, to no avail.

On there site the only ways you are told you can cancel or to call, fill out an online contact form, or send an email. On 1/22 I called and was on hold for over an hour with no answer, and no call back, I then filled out the online contact me form requesting to cancel all future food subscription, and I sent an email to [protected]@freshnlean.com requesting cancellation, this was on a friday which was before their required sunday cancellation day. I never received a response from anyone, then on 1/25 my bank account was again charged in the amount of $132.80 which i did not authorize. On 1/25 I again sent another email requesting cancellation and refund of the $132.80, and used their online contact form requesting the same, I called and again no one answered and I was put in a queue which the system said could be up to 2 hours.

I attempted to reach a chat representative, their website stated no one was available, with the option to leave a message. I left a message and never received a response. I attempted this again twice. As of today, 1/31, still no response. In addition, I attempted 6-7 times to reach them on their 800 number, during their advertised business hours. Each time I wait on hold for one hour plus, no one answers, and the call eventually just drops. I requested a callback rather than wait on hold, their message stating that I will receive a callback within 2 hours. They never call back. Their website claims they have extended hold times due to COVID. If they have this level of call volume, I suggest they hire more agents rather than stick it to their customers. Since I have seen that they have extremely poor, i.e. non-existent customer service, I no longer wish to do business with such a poorly-run company, and wish to cancel my order with them. Again, I requested this with no response or answer from their call queue. Please ensure they cancel order.

I have been a customer of this business since June . I am billed weekly on Sunday $170.52 for a meal delivery service which their website states will be delivered on Fridays ***. I have had some late deliveries but no serious issues leading up to this point. On 1/25, I was charged $170.52 for my weekly meal delivery. I never received this shipment. I contacted their customer support via email on 2/1 asking to be refunded for this charge and asking whether the service was continuing to operate. The automatic response requested 2-3 business days to respond. I have not received a response four business days later. I have attempted to call their customer service line. I waited on hold for 25 minutes and did not receive an ETA or any indication that anyone actually was manning the line. On 2/1 I was again charged $170.52 for a meal delivery service to be delivered today, 2/5. I did not receive the delivery today and it is now 830 PM in my timezone. I do not anticipate it will be delivered in the middle of the night, as that has not happened in the 7 months I have been a customer nor is that standard practice for parcel carriers in my area.

I, the consumer, placed an order with this food delivery service, wherein you are asked to indicate possible allergies. I did so. I received my first shipment (weekly shipment) approximately 1 week later. 15 meals were delivered, of the 15, 7 of them contained an item I noted to not include, due to a food allergy. I contacted Fresh n' Lean via their website chat feature and was told by a representative that "I may have received the wrong box" and I'd further be credited for my next shipment. I did not received a 2nd week shipment, or any email (like the first) that one was scheduled to be shipped or delivered. Over a two week time, I have sent numerous emails, I've called their phone number during their indicated office hours, I've left a chat message leaving call back information (they claim to return your call within 2 hours), and have never heard from Fresh n' Lean since the original chat, explaining that I wouldn't be charged for my next shipment. Currently, here is the facts: I received my first shipment, majority of which I am unable to consume due to allergy, when indicated during purchase. I have not received a 2nd week credited shipment (I was not charged). This shipment should have been received on Friday, January 28. I have been charged on January 30, for another shipment for assuming, a 3rd week shipment. I am unable to reach anybody at Fresh n' Lean to cancel this recurring payment and cease all business with them and further inquire as to the missing shipment. Quality meals that are tasty! These meals are very convent for our busy schedule, and also allow me to help my elderly parents who need good food, with minimal exposer to using the stove/oven. I have had a few issue with shipping and *** have always made it right.
The *** product is delicious and ample. Delivery has been no problem and always arrives on time!
I love the food. I have eaten from the Whole 30, Paleo, Classic and Protein+ menus. All are fantastic. I took one star away for customer service. Not that it is bad; but before the company had a website that you could contact them, make changes to your subscription, etc - it was near impossible to talk to someone. Plus the amount of food restrictions I have make mistakes not uncommon in my food selections. I predominantly eat from the Paleo menu but now (because of blood tests) have switched to Protein+. The switch was easy and I was able to do it myself through my account on their website. If things continue to improve this way I will rereview and give them 5 stars.
Good vegan meals. Variety is solid to keep me ordering. Price competitive. I appreciate the ability to skip weeks as I travel a lot and don't always need meals.
