I had plenty money in my bank account when gasbuddy tried to charge it.
My bank shows the charge went through successfully.
Gasbuddy then returned the money for absolutely no reason, said it didn't go through, then charged me another $30. They either 1) dont respond to customer support, or 2) take forever to respond.
They're thieves. Do not use gasbuddy.
Phony price reports at costco manassas va
Reporter allsmiles continually reports incorrect prices at Costco Manassas. He constantly has a price report that is 20-30 cents higher then the actual price. Apparently he does it to get points without actually every visiting the gas station. You should cancel his membership as he is scamming you and the real Gas Buddy users.

first off gas was NOT 103.9 it was 118. I went there 1 minute after price being reported! second. the stupid app gave me wrong directions saying take uturn here and there.. such [censored]., wasted half hour for a 5 min trip going there for nothing. not to mention the gas getting there!

Come on Darla, GasBuddy has no way of knowing a gas price except by the users' contributions. I have this problem in Quebec during the last months, a guy that finds himself funny is advertising 30cents lower prices. Always the same cheater. I'm working on finding a way to ban him... Also, gasBuddy doesn't have a guidance system, it gives you choice among other mapping apps you already have on your phone so why blaming GasBuddy?

The gas buddy "support" is the worst I have ever had to deal with, even worse than the old dell and hp customer support teams in india.
I have emailed gas buddy "support" for over 1 month now, and have not received any response other than the automated "we apologize for the delay" standard email.
If you use gas buddy, just pray you never need support because you will absolutely receive no support whatsoever, and there is no one accountable for the awful customer service provided by the gas buddy team.
For an app which has your bank account or credit card information, failing to provide timely customer support is a huge red flag. I would never ever suggest to my worst enemy to use the gas buddy app for iphone.

I have attached the number of times I have emailed the "support" team only showing back until june 1st, and the repeated automated response. I couldn't fit it into one screenshot, but I have been attempting to contact their "support" since may 16th, 2018, and it has been over a month now but I have yet to receive any support or even an actual response other than the automated system response. It is absolutely terrible, particularly when it is regarding a linked bank account which gasbuddy now has my information but yet cannot provide any customer support.

Every time I used GasBuddy in my area (Pompano Beach, FL), I was mislead by false prices. Furthermore, I was directed to gas stations that do not even carry diesel fuel with reports of cheap diesel fuel. There are several users in my area that produce fake reports to collect points, most noticeably in my area is one nick names "skaden," who makes up prices without visiting the stations, and reports diesel where no diesel is being sold. The company doesn't take measures to weed out these scammer point collectors, and does not p[provide an obvious way to report them, even though they spoil the experience to the community, and eventually will bring GasBuddy down.

I have opened two tickets with support to cancel my account and remove the connection to my bank account. It has been over a month of them continuing to email me back literally with 1 line "Hello, Thank you for the email and we apologize for the delay." - I have responded back 100% of the time and asking what is going on and if my account has been cancelled, but no one ever responds and instead every 2-3 days I get another email saying the same thing. I have now resulted to filing a complaint here and with the BBB. I have closed my checking account all because of this stupid company. I just want the account closed. I have also asked them to stop emailing me unless they have a resolution because at this point it's harassment. The emails just keep coming and makes me more mad with each one.

I received my Gas Buddy card and I cannot activate it. I have tried for months to get the card activated. Customer service, and I'm using that term loosely, is the worst I've ever dealt with. I hate trying to talk someone there. Something that should have been corrected in 2 minutes has taken 3 months. My card is STILL not activated. I can't reach anyone by phone and it takes weeks to get an email from them that doesn't address my issue at all. I have followed their instructions to activate the card and the application just stays on the same screen. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I rate customer service a MINUS 10 (-10).
Customer service is no help at all. I can't get my card activated whether I go online or call customer service. All they keep doing is ( whether emails or via phone) referring me back to wallet in the app. I've been going in circles for over a month. The have even deducted the annual fee from my bank account, so I can honestly say my account is verified. Therefore, I am emailing them 1 more time and sending copies of all emails to their corporate offices. Let's see if they really want my business!

I emailed the company about a problem I'm having with my gas card. It no longer will work. I received an email back 2 weeks later saying it should work now. It does not work now. You call their customer service number and THAT no longer works. They make it difficult to get a hold of anybody. Is there actual real people that work there? This is a bad business and it is no longer worth using their card. Sure, it's nice having a few cents off. But, if you have problems you should be able to get a hold of somebody!
This company also requires your social security number which I did not feel right giving it to them. Is it okay to ask for that?

Amen. As I stated in my complaint, Gas Buddy customer service, and I used that term loosely, is the worst I've ever seen. I don't know why they have a telephone number listed because you'll never get anyone. I have an issue where I need to talk to a real person and have not been able to reach ANYONE. I've been trying to get my Gas Card activated for months. To this day it still is not activated.

I enrolled in Pay with GasBuddy. I read everything before I did. Free... Two small deposits in your checking account. Nothing ever mentioned GasBuddy taking back the twelve cent deposit. That free service now cost me $36 NSF because I was not aware of GasBuddy removing money from my account without authorization. Completely unacceptable. Of course my bank tells me to deal with GasBuddy so I look everywhere on their app for a phone number. Not one. You can only email them for help which I have done. I googled a phone number that of course is not a working number. Absolutely bad business. I have used this app for years but never again and will recommend to everyone Do Not Use!
I have called several telephone numbers and I can't reach anyone to talk too on GasBuddy. They take their payment very quickly on time each month. Where is Customer Support Service if you need any help and need to talk with someone at GasBuddy? This is very BAD SERVICE on behalf of GasBuddy. GasBuddy needs to provide a telephone number where someone will, answer and give answers to my questions. This should be available at least from 7am to 8pm Central Time.

Why would taking back the 12 cents (which they do tell you they will take back) cost you $36? And there's a phone number on the back of the Pay with Gas Buddy card. The number does work, but it might take a minute for them to get back to you if you have to leave a message. I had to call them a couple of times because the app wouldn't let me create a driver ID. I haven't actually used it for a purchase yet, though.

I have already spoken to my attorney regarding this. So put my money back in my account just as fast as you took it out considering I was not made aware of this fee nor did I authorize it! You have overdrawn my bank account! You advertised that this was a FREE SERVICE. You had me put my bank account information in so it would know where to pull the money from WHEN I USED THE CARD TO PAY FOR GAS. I have not received a card, nor have I filled up, so explain to me what this charge is for considering it wasn't made clear to me before, and I have no knowledge of it prior to it being taken out of my account. I am prepared to sue for this as advised by my attorney if this is not made right immediately. No where in all the info or on your advertisement does it mention fees of any kind. In fact the only action that was supposed to have taken place on my account was the two deposits. Which is also false advertisement because you say that I would save $.15 my fist fill up, put if you deposit that money in my account, then your just taking back what you put in and that's not a savings at all. Your just con artist, well your not going to take advantage of me. If you don't fix this as fast as you messed it up, then prepare to see me in court!
So the small deposits is a test to verify, yes this account, yes they take their money back as they never said they would pay you to use their card either. I am seeing a lot of complaints, but have been very happy other than the limits issue and never been charged a penny of my money, the savings comes in the form of a fill up. You fill up they process the fill up cover .05 per gal/ charge the rest to the account that you agreed to have charged. I have had my card for at least 6 months and never had a problem with it.
So did they in fact charge you some fee or remove their money which they did not offer to pay you, they said they were testing...i.e. depositing and withdrawing their money to make sure the account works with the card. I am just wondering because it seems like you aren't the only person who though Gas Buddy was suddenly paying people to use a free service.
I made a similar complaint today. I did not authorize any money to be taken from my account only the two small deposits. I have not received my card and now have a account in the negative. Such a scam!

Used GasBuddy app for a long time in the past and was always satisfied with it, but their new app is the worst ever! It provides false information and is not trustworthy anymore. I tried to contact someone from the customer support to get some information about the new app and wanted to know when it will be fixed, but they did not reply. I'm very disappointed with GasBuddy and guess I have to search for another more trustworthy app.
