GasBuddy Mixed Experiences at Valero El Cerrito

As a frequent visitor to Valero El Cerrito, I have had mixed experiences. While the gas prices are usually competitive, there have been instances where the prices were higher than advertised. Additionally, there have been issues with credit card holds, causing inconvenience. The customer service could be more reliable and transparent. Despite these drawbacks, the location is convenient and the station is well-maintained.

GasBuddy Works for me just fine

I question how stupid some of the reviewers here are. "Rejecting my info"? 10 cents off then 5 cents? Can people read? These are the same idiots that didn't read their mortgage agreements in the run up to the recession and caused the housing crisis. There's a lot of stupid people. I read the terms, agreed, and have been getting the discount now just fine. I've never had any issues. Their support the one time I used it could be improved absolutely agree there. But the card works, read the fine print before complaining and you won't have problems.

GasBuddy Never a problem

I use the GasBuddy app every day -- updating prices so that other users can benefit. I've used Pay with GasBuddy more than 40 times since last September (2017) without ever being denied and without a problem. In the six months that I've use Pay with GasBuddy, I've saved about $40 -- not enough to set the world on fire, but it comes out to about a free tank & a half every year. I live in PA, but I've also used Pay with GasBuddy in OH, IN, WV, MD, SC, GA, & FL. I've used the card at Sheetz, Sunoco, Shell, Marathon, BP, BFS, Pilot, Love's, Speedway, & RaceTrac. Again--I've never had an issue.

GasBuddy Gas Buddy prices

For everyone on here complaining that the prices are always wrong are the problem. If the price is wrong you are supposed to report the correct price. Everyone is running to the cheap stations and getting gas without reporting the gas prices. They will always be wrong with no one reporting the current price or verifying that the price is correct. I always report or verify the prices of various stations near me. Gas Buddy started out with just average drivers reporting prices so everyone could see where the cheapest gas was. Now most gas buddy card users don't report prices they just go to the cheap station to get gas.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Rocks

I first started using GasBuddy when my dad passed away about 6 years ago. We had to drive to AZ from WA State. We really relied heavily on the app to help us not only find gas stations, but the ones with the best prices. I always use the app, whether local or on road trips. We also relied on it quite heavily 2 & 1/2 years ago when we took a road trip to Boston for my son's wedding. This app has been a real life saver for us. There were times we weren't sure we'd be able to find a gas station because we took a lot of scenic routes so we could do a lot of sight seeing and it was so easy thanks to this app. This app was a real life saver on those trips. I even use it for local prices.

GasBuddy An excellent money-saving resource

Every driver should bookmark this site. It's useful in two ways: (1) It will locate the cheapest local or en route gas sources, and (2) It will tell you what the gas used in a contemplated trip will cost. I use it primarily for (2), and in the process I also learn the number of miles of my trip.

In order to get accurate results, I need to submit an online form detailing what vehicle I drive and its year, and which grade of gas I buy (and of course my starting and ending points). Or I could enter my gas mileage if I know it.

A minor downside is that as of now GasBuddy will not retain information that I give it, so I theoretically could have to spend a fair amount of time refilling the form every time I want GAsBuddy's help for a new trip. In practice however your form filler or password manager (such as RoboForm) should save your data for you and remove that necessity.

GasBuddy I love GasBuddy

I just read about 20 negative reviews, all of which haven't been my experience GasBuddy! I don't know if I've just gotten lucky or if everyone else is doing something wrong/not being patient etc. Their customer service efficiently helped me when I needed them to. I received the $10 Audible credit and $10 free gas. I've never noticed gas prices being as "off" as some of these reviews are reporting. Sometimes someone will accidentally report a price as diesel when it was clearly a premium price or something. I've been using GasBuddy for about 6 months now, and I won't claim I'm saving a MASSIVE amount of money but extracting a $2-$3 average credit from each time I fill up in gas to put towards something I would have bought anyway via the "shop your way" app is worth it to me, or rather "why not". I haven't had any of the issues these last 20+ negative reviews have reported

GasBuddy Best prices are frequantly fake.

I am anonymous user. I dont login, and I dont have personal info on app. If the app were better, maybe I would sign up. First the app prices are closer than the web page prices. Why are they different at all? Prices seem to sort of follow the trend. So if you want to pay what everybody else pays, then this app will do well. But I don't need an app for that. I look at the bill boards and pick the cheapest station. The problem with the app is finding the cheapest price in town. Lots of them on the app are simply fake prices. Plan a trip to stop at the cheapest stops, and you will frequently be burning extra gas because the cheap price at the stop was fake. So for now, I look for Buc Eees for the best prices. Because it's really a good price and no disappointment. I will not sign up with Gas Buddy. I will check it from time to time, but they don't earn my trust. And from other reviews, Gas Buddy has been disappointing people for awhile. Could be a shill to spread fake news that Bidenomics is dropping gas prices. That would not surprise me one bit.

Recommendation: You get what you pay for...

GasBuddy The worst

Seems like my account is not working now. I have done everything you asked. Now if you could fix this it would be greatly appreciated. I am a Regional manager for a pharmaceutical company. My company has thousands of GasBuddy accounts. If mine can't get be fixed I am going to have the company discontinue all GasBuddy accounts losing your company hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Silly that you would want this instead of fixing an account which had been with you for years. Simply because one of your employees bullied my nephew who is autistic. I will make sure many people hear about this. They employ immature people like Cady and Nychole who like bullying people.

Absolutely the worst company. Simply find another company is my advice.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: A Reliable and Easy-to-Use App for Saving on Gas

Been using GasBuddy for over a year now and it's been smooth sailing. I've used both the regular savings side and the Shop Your Way points side, and while the latter doesn't give you the 5 cents per gallon savings, it's still a good trade-off. I also use the Gas Buddy card along with other fuel rewards programs like Shell Fuel Rewards and Kroger's Shoppers Card to get the most out of my savings. Recently, I signed up for the Gas Buddy plus plan which charges you $5 for $6 in savings. It may not seem like much, but every penny counts, right? That's the mindset you need to have when using this app.

Now, for those who are concerned about the app accessing your account, I can assure you that I've never had any unauthorized charges from it. So, no need to worry about that.

As for the gas price finder side of the app, it's all about what you and those around you put into it. I make it a point to regularly update the prices at gas stations along my route, and I've found that the prices shown in the app are usually pretty accurate. And when they're not, I correct them.

Overall, GasBuddy is a great app for anyone looking to save a few bucks on gas. It's easy to use, reliable, and has a helpful community of users who are always updating prices. Give it a try and see for yourself!

What is the core purpose of GasBuddy, if not to help motorists locate fuel centers with the best prices? Yet, if there is no actual process by which the continual posting of deliberately false information (gas prices) can be stopped and the responsible abuser(s) of the GasBuddy app held accountable, then the entire GasBuddy premise is compromised and therefore worthless as a value-driven mobile application. Glad to read about your positive experience, but just remember, thousands of times per day, motorists drive to a specific gas retailer only to discover that the 'cheap' gas price posted on GasBuddy was simply a ruse designed to lure the unsuspecting customer to that location – either to drive business to that location, or simply out of maliciousness. In any case, it's the well-meaning motorist/customer who loses.

GasBuddy GasBuddy App Review: Inaccurate Prices and Frustrating Updates

This app really got me heated. I went out of my way to check out two different gas stations that GasBuddy said had cheap gas prices, but when I got there, the prices were nowhere near what the app said. And to make matters worse, when I tried to update the prices myself, the app would show that I did, but as soon as I closed it and opened it again, the old, inaccurate prices were still there.

I didn't give up though. I tried to update the prices at two different gas stations, but only one of them actually updated. The other one just wouldn't budge. It's frustrating because GasBuddy asks the public to participate and update prices, but it seems like a waste of time when the app doesn't even update correctly.

After reading other reviews, I realized that I'm not alone in my frustration. Apparently, the app used to be good, but new owners have taken over and are doing a horrible job. I've decided to delete the app and switch to Waze instead. I won't waste my time updating prices for GasBuddy anymore, especially since they don't even update them correctly and leave wrong, low prices for others to fall for.

It's a shame because I was considering getting GasBuddy's credit card, but after seeing how scammy they are, I won't be giving them any more of my information. I'll stick with my current card and avoid GasBuddy's altogether. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone. The end.

GasBuddy Disappointing Experience with Pay with GasBuddy: Missing Perks and Poor Customer Service

I signed up for Pay with Gasbuddy back in October of 2019. I was pretty excited to get started, especially since I heard that I could get some sweet perks with Amazon's Audible. So, I signed up for Audible and started paying $14.95 a month, but I never got any perks with GasBuddy. I was pretty disappointed, but I figured I'd give it some time.

Fast forward to November 21st, and I still hadn't received my GasBuddy card. I was starting to get a little worried, so I decided to contact customer support. I got in touch with a guy named Teagan, who eventually got back to me and sent a replacement card. I was pretty relieved, but then December 10th rolled around and I still hadn't received the card. So, I reached out to customer service again, and Teagan responded with a generic message about processing times. I was starting to get frustrated.

Finally, on January 15th, I sent a pretty nasty email to customer service. I was fed up with not getting any answers, and I wanted to know what was going on. That's when I was contacted by Caillin, who claimed to be the manager. They told me that my GasBuddy card wasn't showing up at my home address, so they wanted to send it to a different address. I was pretty skeptical, especially since I had ordered some unreleased Beatles CDs from Japan and they had arrived just fine.

I still haven't received my GasBuddy card, and I don't really know what to do at this point. They want to send it to an unverified address, which seems pretty sketchy to me. I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service, to be honest. It's even worse than Frontier, and that's saying something. I think I'm just going to delete my account and move on.

GasBuddy Pay with Gas Buddy Review: Beware of Pending Charges and Poor Customer Service

I've been using GasBuddy for a while now and I gotta say, it's pretty good. I recently started using Pay with Gas Buddy and it was all good until I ran into some trouble. Let me tell you, if your card doesn't work at the pump, you're in for a world of hurt. GasBuddy will hold a $30 charge in pending status each time your card doesn't work. I had no idea about this and it really messed me up.

When my card finally worked on the third try, it only allowed for a $15 transaction. The daily limit is $75, so I was pretty upset. I had entered my gas loyalty information at the pump and earned a $1 off a gallon for one fill up. But because of the card issue, neither the gas station nor the bank could help me. I called everyone from the pump! I talked to the store clerk, called their 800 number, and even called my bank. But the bank couldn't see any of the transactions.

The only one I didn't speak to was PAY WITH GAS BUDDY! They don't answer their phones. The recording refers you to send a message via their site, even for fraudulent charges! You can leave a voicemail, but that's about it. I left several messages and sent several messages for the last 4 days.

Finally, I got a call today. And let me tell you, it wasn't good news. They claim nothing can be done. It could happen again and there is no recourse. The nerve of them to tell me how much I saved with the 7 gallons that I was able to receive! I saved because I earned those gas points at the store, not with GasBuddy!

Overall, GasBuddy is pretty good. But Pay with Gas Buddy can be a real pain if your card doesn't work at the pump. And don't expect much help from their customer service.

GasBuddy Is GasBuddy's GB Card Worth It? A Skeptic's Review and Concerns

I gotta say, I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to these things, so I gotta ask - is GasBuddy really all it's cracked up to be? I mean, I've been reading some of the reviews on their GB Card, and I gotta say, I'm a little concerned about the authenticity of some of these good reviews. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some positive ones out there, but they seem to be outnumbered by the negative ones by a pretty wide margin.

Now, I'm not saying that all the good reviews are fake or anything like that, but I have heard that some companies will pay people to write positive reviews for them, even if they've never actually used the product or service in question. And when I look at some of these good reviews, they just seem a little too perfect, you know? Like, there's not a single spelling mistake or misplaced comma to be found. It's almost like they were written by a professional copywriter or something.

So here's my question - are there any real, live people out there who have actually used the GB Card and can vouch for its effectiveness? And if so, is there a customer service number I can call to talk to someone about it? I mean, I'm not trying to be difficult or anything, but I just want to make sure that I'm not getting scammed or anything like that. I work in customer service myself, so I know how important it is to be able to talk to a real person when you have a question or concern.

Anyway, if anyone out there can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not saying I'm definitely going to try the GB Card, but I'm definitely open to the idea if I can get some reassurance that it's the real deal. Thanks in advance!

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Scammers on the Loose

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with GasBuddy. I signed up for their card and tried to activate it, but somehow ended up with two cards that did the exact same thing. And where was customer service when I needed them? Nowhere to be found, that's where. All I got was some computer-generated response telling me to go to their website to resolve my concerns. But after a while, I finally got a response from a real person. And let me tell you, this guy was a real piece of work. He kept repeating the same thing over and over again, like he was some kind of robot or something. I mean, come on, buddy, show a little bit of empathy here.

Anyway, I eventually figured out that this guy was just another scammer trying to make a quick buck. Apparently, he had opened up a business app and had a good thing going for a while, but he screwed up somewhere along the way and now everyone is pissed off. Well, count me among the pissed off. I reported his sorry [censored] to the Better Business Bureau and even went online to report him to the FBI. And to the guy who was talking all that smack about paying attention to the small print? You can go straight to hell, buddy.

If anyone else out there is having problems with GasBuddy, I suggest you do the same thing I did and report them. These people are after your information, and I've heard stories about them scamming elderly people out of their money. All those bogus calls you get from the East Coast? Yeah, those are probably the same people. So be careful out there, folks. GasBuddy is a scam, and their day of reckoning is coming.

GasBuddy Gas Buddy Review: Save Money on Gas with Discount Payment Card & Seamless Google Maps Integration

Gas Buddy is a great app that I have been using for a while now. It has never let me down and always helps me save money on gas. I love how it works seamlessly with Google Maps for turn by turn directions. It's just so easy to use and has been absolutely great for me. Thanks to Gas Buddy, I have saved a lot of money on gas.

One of the best things about Gas Buddy is their discount payment card. If you have a checking account, you can use this card anywhere stations accept debit and credit cards. The first time you use it, you save 15 cents per gallon. After that, you save at least 5 cents per gallon. It's a great way to save money on gas and I highly recommend it.

I recently updated my review to talk about my experience with the Gas Buddy card. I have to say, it works really well. I have never received any fees or ATM fees whatsoever. The card asks for my Driver ID or pin, and my odometer reading so it can give me miles per gallon, costs thereof, etc. If you don't want to enter your odometer reading, you can enter 9999 to bypass this feature. Once the Gas Buddy card approves your account, you can proceed as you would normally. After several days, you are emailed a summary of your transaction, detailing your savings and the price you ended up paying per gallon. I am very pleased with my Gas Buddy card and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to save money on gas.

I know some people have had issues with Gas Buddy in the past, but I haven't experienced any of those issues. My card is linked to my Wells Fargo account with no issues other than just savings so far. Maybe Gas Buddy had issues before, but now those are resolved? Honestly, I really don't like to stick out like a sore thumb. But I for one, still love my Gas Buddy card. I dislike wasting time for others. Thank you again for your time.

Sincerely,

Will and wee dog Bree.

GasBuddy GasBuddy App Discriminates Against Honest Posters: My Experience

When I first got the GasBuddy app, I didn't really use it much. But then I started riding around the city more with my husband and going to Arkansas a lot, so I thought it would be a great way to post gas prices and maybe even win some free gas. As I started posting prices, I noticed that I was ranked pretty low. But I kept at it and quickly rose up to the top ten, then the top five. And eventually, I even beat the person who had been in the #3 spot since last year.

Posting prices was easy for me and I never had any problems receiving points. But then I started to notice something strange. When I posted prices at the end of the day, half of them would be gone the next day. At first, I didn't think much of it and just kept posting. But then I realized that my prices were disappearing while the prices of the person in the #2 spot kept going up. I worked even harder, riding around the city and posting more prices. I even posted over 200 prices after returning from Arkansas for the holiday. But the next day, almost half of my prices had been taken down while the person in the #2 spot's prices kept going up.

Maybe this doesn't seem like a big deal to some people, but to me, it's not fair. I'm participating in an app and posting honest prices, but my prices are being taken down. It's like I'm being cheated out of my points as if I didn't report my prices at all. I've sent numerous feedback messages to GasBuddy, but I haven't received any response. I'm starting to think that the app is discriminating against me and others like me. And I have good reasons for saying this.

I don't want to participate in an app that doesn't give everyone a fair chance to win. So I'll keep posting negative comments until something changes.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: Accuracy Issues and Cheating on Price Posting Rules in Waco, TX Area

GasBuddy is a website that helps people find the cheapest gas prices in their area. However, the Waco, TX area GasBuddy website has some issues with people who just repost the previous price without actually going to the gas station to see the current price. One member, "dbhewitt," has been particularly problematic. On Saturday, 5/2/2020, dbhewitt posted prices at nearly every gas station on the Waco, TX GasBuddy website. Many of the stations are 10-12 miles apart, yet he was able to post over 50 prices in under 30 minutes. This raises some questions about the accuracy of the prices he posted.

For nearly two weeks, dbhewitt posted $1.20 for regular at Rudy's BBQ Store and gas station. However, during this time, someone went to Rudy's and found the price was actually $1.51. They did not post the correct price just to see how long dbhewitt would continue to post the wrong price. Dbhewitt continued to post the wrong price for another week until someone finally posted the correct price a few days ago. Then dbhewitt started posting the correct price. This behavior is not acceptable and undermines the usefulness of GasBuddy.

Unfortunately, GasBuddy does not provide any way to complain about people who are abusing or cheating on the price posting rules. It used to be that posting the wrong prices would get you banned from the site, but some people like dbhewitt have multiple identities on GasBuddy and they just switch to identities and keep on posting the wrong prices. It is suspected that dbhewitt has at least two other active alias identities. This kind of behavior is not fair to other users who are trying to find accurate gas prices.

As a result of this kind of behavior, some people refuse to post prices on GasBuddy. They do not want to be associated with people like dbhewitt and others who feel they must be the only person posting prices, right or wrong. GasBuddy needs to get back to the basics that got their website on the map, which is having members post honest prices and banning cheaters. Now GasBuddy is only interested in revenue from its Convenience Store sponsors and not interested in anything the members have to say. This is why GasBuddy has dropped the Forums, the Whiteboards, and shut off all avenues for GasBuddy complaints from their website. It is disappointing that GasBuddy is not doing more to address these issues.

Overall, GasBuddy can be a useful tool for finding cheap gas prices, but it is important to be aware of the issues with inaccurate prices and cheating. Users should be vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to GasBuddy. Hopefully, GasBuddy will take steps to address these issues and restore its reputation as a reliable source for gas prices.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: Clearing Up Misconceptions and Sharing Positive Experiences

I gotta say, before I wrote this review, I read like 50 of them, and some of them were just straight up whack. People complaining about stuff that don't even make sense, like how they couldn't fill up their car 'cause of some limit on their card. Like, what kind of car they driving? A dang TT unit? Or maybe they just got some bad finances, I don't know. But I got three vehicles, and I've filled all three up on the same day before, no problem. Ain't no car out there with a 50 gallon tank, you feel me? One of my rides is a truck, and even that only holds 28.5 gallons.

And then there's people talking about how the prices on GasBuddy are off. Yeah, sometimes I see that too, but if you look at when the price was posted, it's usually from a few days ago. Prices change all the time, man. I've seen 'em change twice in one day before. Instead of complaining, why don't you just post the new price you see? It ain't that hard. I've been using GasBuddy for two years now, and I can count on one hand how many times I've seen a "false price." And even then, it was probably from a few days ago.

And then there's people talking about how the GasBuddy card accesses your bank account. Like, do they not realize that it's not a credit or debit card? After you buy your gas, it deducts the amount minus the 5 cents a gallon discount from whatever card you gave 'em. And some places don't even accept the card 'cause they don't wanna give you that discount. Like BJ's or Cumberland Farms, for example.

Now, I wanna make it clear that I don't work for GasBuddy or know anyone who does. I've just been using it for two years and I've had nothing but good experiences. I've even recommended it to a bunch of my friends, and they all love it too.

The only thing I will say is that activating the GasBuddy card can be a bit of a pain in the butt. But once you get it going, it's smooth sailing.

At the end of the day, I think most of the negative reviews are from people who just don't know what they're talking about. They'll spend five minutes writing a bad review, but won't take one minute to post the actual price they're seeing. Or they'll complain about something without realizing that it's just common sense. Like, of course your purchase has to get paid somehow. GasBuddy ain't no debit or credit card, you know what I'm saying? And if you can't fill up your car 'cause of some limit, that's probably 'cause of your own finances, not GasBuddy's fault.

GasBuddy Not receiving my discount

Today 8/15/23 I filled up my tank. I activated my discount for the Shell on Northern Parkway around 3:54 pm the discount was to be $.18 per gallon I use 6.80 gals and received .26 savings. Should have received approximately $1.20. This isn’t the first time I was cheated in my savings. Could an adjustment be made that may receive the proper discount. My name is Vondalee Brown-Walker I have my fuel rewards card connected to my gas buddy account as well.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Scam: Enrolled in Premium Membership Without Consent, Refused Reimbursement

I should have read these reviews before I signed up for GasBuddy. I bought gas for the first time and a pop-up came up to save more with the gas station's additional rewards program. I started the process, but then canceled out of it when I saw that it involved the premium membership subscription for 9.99 a month and just bought the gas. But guess what? They enrolled me anyway and charged me. They insisted that I must have enrolled in it and refused to reimburse me. I argued with them, and it took them days to respond. Finally, I disputed the charge with the bank and put a stop payment against them. Now they're refusing to close the account unless I cancel the dispute and said they're sending me to collections for a whopping 9.99. It cost me $30 bucks for the stop payment, and if they are serious, another 9.99 plus a collection agency charge for a whopping $1.72 savings at the pump. It's a complete scam, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: Disappointing Updates and Annoying Ads

I ain't no tech-savvy person, but I do know how to save a buck or two when it comes to filling up my car's gas tank. That's why I decided to give GasBuddy a try. I ain't got no fancy smartphone, so I just used the web version. It's been a while since I last used it, so I was excited to see what's new.

But boy, was I in for a surprise. First off, I couldn't find the map icon that used to be next to each station. After some digging, I finally found it in a new location. But then, when I selected a type of gas, it only showed prices for regular. What's up with that?

And don't even get me started on how it forgets that I'm looking for diesel each time I click on a new page. It always defaults to regular. Come on, GasBuddy, can't you save my data?

But the real kicker is when I ask for the lowest local prices. Instead of showing me the cheapest ones first, it shows me some higher prices before the lowest one. That ain't right, GasBuddy.

And let's not forget about the ads. There's a huge load of them that keeps the display moving. As soon as I close one, another one pops up. It's like playing whack-a-mole.

I used to love GasBuddy. It was a lifesaver when it came to finding the cheapest gas prices. But now, it seems like it's more interested in being a host for clickbait. Come on, GasBuddy, get your act together.

GasBuddy GasBuddy: Stop Being a Mouthpiece for Oil Companies and Tell Us the Truth!

I seen them reports on the TV about why gas prices keep going up and I gotta say, I ain't too happy about it. GasBuddy, you keep saying that the price of gas has to go up when the Canadian dollar goes down and when oil prices go up, but then you say the same thing when the dollar goes back up and oil prices go down. What gives? It seems like you're just a mouthpiece for the oil companies, spouting their BS stories about why we gotta pay more at the pump.

And don't even get me started on this whole "seasonal change" thing. You say gas has to go up when we switch from winter to summer blends, but then it just keeps going up when we switch from one additive to another. That don't make no sense to me. And when a refinery on the south east coast shuts down for maintenance, you say gas prices have to go up, even though they don't even supply Canada. And then when a plant on the west coast closes for maintenance, you say the same thing. It's like you're just repeating the same old stories the oil companies have been telling us for years.

It's time for you to start telling the truth, GasBuddy. The real reason gas prices keep going up is because of greed. The oil companies are gouging us Canadians, plain and simple. So stop being their mouthpiece and start telling us the truth. We deserve better than this.

GasBuddy Gas Buddy Review: Solid App, Useless Website, and Issues with Posting Prices

I've been using Gas Buddy for a hot minute now, and I gotta say, it's been pretty solid. But, like, a year or two ago they did a redesign and it's been a bit of a bummer. The website is basically useless now and the app has some issues.

So, like, they're trying to stop people from posting fake prices, which is cool and all, but they made it so that if the price changes by more than 5 cents, it won't actually post. Which, like, sucks because sometimes the price jumps up like 20 or 30 cents overnight (which happens way too often, am I right?). And, like, the app will show that the new price is posted, but then when you check on your computer at home, it's just reverted back to the old price. So, like, people keep reposting the old prices for the points and the system is blocking the good guys from making the right change.

It's a bummer, man. The app and website have been going downhill for a while now and I don't think it's gonna get better anytime soon.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: Great for Finding Cheap Gas, Terrible Customer Service

GasBuddy is a website that helps you find the cheapest gas prices in your area. I've been using it for a while now and I have to say, it's pretty useful. You just enter your zip code and it shows you all the gas stations in your area and their prices. It's saved me a lot of money over the years.

However, I have to say that their customer service is pretty terrible. I lost my card back in April and it took me three months and eight days to get a new one. I had to go through nine automated call prompts just to talk to someone. And when I finally did get through, the person on the other end was completely useless. They just read from a script and told me I was wrong about everything. It was so frustrating.

But despite the terrible customer service, I still use GasBuddy because it's just so darn useful. I mean, who doesn't want to save money on gas? And it's not like there are a ton of other options out there. So I'll keep using it, but I definitely won't be recommending it to anyone who values good customer service.

Overall, GasBuddy is a decent website for finding cheap gas prices, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. If you're willing to put up with the frustration of dealing with their automated call prompts and useless customer service reps, then it's definitely worth using. But if you value good customer service, then you might want to look elsewhere.

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: Disappointing Discounts, Inaccurate Prices, and Sneaky Fees

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with GasBuddy. I was promised discounts that I never received, like a $10 credit for signing up for Audible. I even reached out to customer service twice about it, but all I got were some vague, automated responses. And to make matters worse, the prices on GasBuddy were often wrong, which ended up costing me more than if I had just gone with the local average.

One thing that really grinds my gears is that there's no easy way to track and compare the pump price with what GasBuddy charges my card. It's like they randomly hit me with a different price every time, and I never know if I'm getting a good deal or not.

But here's the real kicker: when I finally found the hidden link to cancel my account, I got an email back that basically said they were gonna keep charging me anyway. They called it a "monthly membership fee," but it sure felt like a sneaky way to keep taking my money.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend GasBuddy to anyone. The discounts aren't worth the hassle, and the prices are too unpredictable. Save yourself the trouble and just stick with the local gas stations.

GasBuddy GasBuddy App Review: Terrible Customer Service and Useless Features

This app is not worth your time. I have had a terrible experience with their customer service. It seems like they don't even have one! I tried calling, texting, and emailing them multiple times, but it was all in vain. After four attempts, I finally received their card, but the explanation they gave me was that it had been sent to my former address. What a load of crap! I have been living at my current address for over 35 years, well before GasBuddy even existed.

Their app is a complete joke. It is filled with pop-ups that prove that nothing is free. When I tried to search for gas stations in my Memphis, TN zip code, I was surprised to find gas stations in Kansas City, KS and Oak Park, IL. What a waste of time!

I uninstalled the app from my phone and tried to unsubscribe from their emails, but I couldn't find a link to do that within their emails or on their website. So, I unsubscribed via GMail's link, hoping that it would send GasBuddy's emails straight to Spam. I wish there was an option to send their emails straight to Trash or even better, to Hell.

In conclusion, GasBuddy is a complete waste of time. Don't bother downloading their app or subscribing to their emails. They are not worth it. Gas "Buddy" my [censored]!

GasBuddy GasBuddy Review: From Cool Site to Total Mess - Still Good for Checking Gas Prices Though

GasBuddy used to be a really cool site, ya know? It had all the latest info on gas prices and other stuff about getting around. But then, like, three years ago, some new owners took over and they totally messed it up. They shut down the way members could talk to each other and share news. Before, you could only post articles about gas prices and stuff like that. But now, any old person can post anything they want, even if it's just some dumb political rant or something. The new owners don't care about the people who actually do the work of posting gas prices. All they care about is making money from ads and trying to trick people into giving them their credit card info so they can get a tiny discount on gas. And that's only if you use their payment system, which is a total ripoff.

But, like, I still use GasBuddy to check gas prices in my area. It's still pretty good for that, I guess. But these days, gas prices don't really change that much, so the cheapest stations stay the same. So, I don't really need to use it that often.

Overall, GasBuddy used to be way better than it is now. The new owners ruined it by letting anyone post anything they want and trying to make money off of people. But, it's still okay for checking gas prices if you need to.

GasBuddy Mixed Experience with Gasbuddy: Great Deals, Poor Customer Service

Gasbuddy is a website that I've been using for a long time now, and I gotta say, it's been pretty good. I never had any problems with it until one day when I accidentally pumped a little more gas than I intended. When Gasbuddy charged my bank account, it returned the charge because my bank account went negative. After that, I got a message saying that my Gasbuddy card was deactivated due to an issue connecting to my bank account. It told me to contact them if the process takes more than a day to resolve. It's been 6 months now, and I've tried contacting them multiple times about my bank account not being connected, my account still being charged for the premium membership when I can't use my card, and just wanting to cancel my membership. But I haven't gotten any response from them. I keep getting charged every month, and I don't know what to do at this point because I've done everything I can.

But let me tell you about the good stuff. Gasbuddy has some pretty sweet deals, like the "gasback reward" where you get a certain amount of cents back per gallon. All you gotta do is take a picture of your receipts, and the gasback applies towards your membership fee. It's pretty cool, and it's saved me some money.

Overall, Gasbuddy is a pretty good website, but their customer service needs some work. I hope they can fix their issues soon because I really like using their website.

GasBuddy GasBuddy's Pay with GasBuddy Service: Not Worth the Hassle or Money

So, I recently tried out GasBuddy and I have to say, I'm not too impressed. I received an alert on Black Friday 2019 offering a $10 credit for using their Pay with GasBuddy service for the first time. I was excited to give it a try, so I provided my checking account and routing numbers to initiate the process. I received the card in the mail on December 6th, and the very next day, I received another alert offering a $5 credit if I used the card by December 9th.

I decided to fill up my tank on December 9th, and while the full amount was taken from my checking account, I never received either of the credits promised to me. I reached out to GasBuddy multiple times via email, but all I received were automated responses saying that someone would get back to me. Unfortunately, no one ever did. To make matters worse, GasBuddy never responded to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau, which leads me to believe that they are cheating their customers out of their hard-earned money.

Overall, I would recommend using a credit card that pays points instead of GasBuddy's Pay with GasBuddy service. There are plenty of other apps out there that allow you to see gas prices as you travel, so there's really no need to use GasBuddy. Save yourself the hassle and go with a more reliable option.

GasBuddy Gas price discount

I was on your App (GasBuddy) searching for low gas prices. I found a Shell Gas station (See Address on attached receipt) with a listed price of $3.60 a gallon. However at the gas station the price was listed at $3.68 a gallon. I followed Gas Buddy App instructions by activating your offer, entered my phone number and logged on into my account as instructed by the App and the account was activated. I pumped the gas after I entered my credit card into the pump slot. The app asked me to upload the receipt, guess what, the upload button was not available on the app settings. Meaning I didn't get the discount, went inside the gas station and explained to the clerk what had happened. He told me to get in touch with you.

Is this a bait and switch offer or what? I will never use that Gas Buddy stupid app again.

Desired outcome: I want you to honor your advertised price you had on display on your web side and to stop your misleading advertising. I will never use that stupid web side again.

GasBuddy Gas Buddy

I have been charged over $60 in 2 months. How is this saving money?

I started membership on November 8, 2022, it took $10 out I was fine with that because I knew that was the monthly fee. However I was never told how to use the card, nor what to do etc. December 8, 2022, it took out another monthly fee of $10, then right after I was charged again under UFC fee -gas buddy, for $30. After this I canceled my account/ membership. And figured that was it. Today December 20, 2022. I was charged $15 again. So why am I being charged when I havnt used this product yet. I understand $20 was the monthly fees but that doesn’t account for the rest being taken out.

Desired outcome: I would like to be refunded.

GasBuddy Gas Buddy Card

GasBuddy has charged me on several occasions with a $5 fee, but yet has failed to provide me with an information of why this was charged. I also have never been shown a "fee schedule" nor have I ever agreed nor signed a document that I have acknowledged and/or udnerstood such. I have never authorized GasBuddy to charge me $5 on any of these occations.

Desired outcome: A refund of the 6 times I was charged with such fee, totaling $30. No excuses.

GasBuddy The gasbuddy website where people are allowed to post gas prices without ever leaving home.

How is it that GDAE does not even get the correct prices by where he lives, yet he is allowed to post over 200 prices in less than 24 hours all over the city. Let's see receipts from gas purchases. Doing over 200 prices in less than 24 hours would require getting gas unless he was on a bicycle. He also doesn't post a correct price unless someone else posts it first. This latest incident happened from 11pm Nov 25th until Nov 26, 2022. Today, the 27th he is still posting like a madman.

Desired outcome: Post only on the app with location on. Wichita has enough phone services to handle gas buddy's app.

GasBuddy Posted Gas Prices

Gasbuddy could fix a lot of the incorrect prices that are posted. All they would have to do is require that each person who posted a price would have to use the app with location on, which means they have to be within half a mile to earn points. I'm about 99.9% sure that most of the people posting prices are doing it for points. They post online which has no requirement to show you are near a station.

Desired outcome: Make everyone post prices using the app with location on.

GasBuddy gas prices not correct

Today is Oct 7,2022. Orange CA 928667

I've used Gas Buddy for several years now with great reporting on current gas prices at all gas stations. Now I find that when I go to the lowest price stations with a 4 hour window they are not correct in any way and I have to do my own searching which is very frustating. I don't know who is reporting the false low prices and what you are giving for this information but it has to stop! It's making your Company look bad!

Desired outcome: Please Police your own reporting and get back on track, It's making you look foolish.

I always used Gas Buddy locally and traveling, but lately it is misleading and I am very disappointed too. Just yesterday I was misled by a price updated 2 hours ago. Got to the gas station and the gas was $.60 more than posted. I drove on by.

GasBuddy False pricing

I have used the app for years but more and more I see FALSE pricing posted by users. It's obvious that either people are being paid to post these or employees of the fuel locations are posting (aka phishing !) to get you to drive to their location only too find out the prices are false. If you look at the user who posted and you can see the same name posting several prices for different fuel or locations, then it's more than likely false. GasBuddy needs to guard this activity as it's only hurting their app integrity! Maybe only allow a user to post once every 24 hours or something like that. Not sure but it's ridiculous! Please fix this!

GasBuddy Sams Club current pricing

I am writing to give a heads up to an unannounced policy change by Walmart at their Sam's Club gas stations. I bought gas a couple of days ago at a Sam's Club and happened to glance at the pump price display. Usually it will drop 5 cts gal when you insert your SC card. It did not. The price stayed the same as on the marquee and as originally before I inserted the card. So I called SC customer service when I got home and asked the rep about this. She began sounding like Porky Pig and Mel Tillis having a conversation. I was put on ignore for a while. Since I wouldn't hang up, she finally came back on. I was informed that because of the "instability" in gas prices, SC was suspending the 5 cent discount for cardholders. No emails, texts, or any notice to their customers in any way. Don't know if there has been any official news reports or notices to Gas Buddy or the other monitoring services. Typical 'oh by the way' situation by the altruistic Walton family.

Desired outcome: The desired outcome would be a whistle blow by you folks who monitor this stuff and try to help the public with the transparency that Walmart purports to have.
