Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media ring(s)

I bought a beautiful ring for my best friend in march and a stone fell out, so I called gems TV and they told me that it is outside the SIX MONTHS guarantee! I didn't realize that their jewellery only lasted for sis months:-(, so buyers beware, you only get a six month guarantee and after that they don't want to know. It's the 3rd ring that I have bought and a stone has fallen out, but they really aren't interested. She said 'well you only paid £29.99' so I'm guessing if I'd spent more on the ring I would have lost more money.!? Not gonna buy from them ever again.

I have watched gems tv since it started and bought a few from them in the beginning I recently bought some more rings from them which unlike when they first started when the quality was good now it is terrible I sent a laramar ring back cause the stone was split and came apart they sent me a replacement but the stone is still split so don't like to wear it in case it breaks I then bought another ring which I wore once and the stone fell out but that was out of the return time it seems that since they have got more popular they are selling inferior products they like to say how it's all hand made and such a bargain when now it isn't you are basically paying cheap for cheap products not the expensive ones they make out they are such a shame they have put profit over quality

My 78 year old mom got hooked and in 6 weeks bought $17, 000 worth of their overpriced stuff. I'm sure the "retail price" of their "bargains" has NEVER been paid! Because of her dementia, I was told they would make exception and accept return. Spent 2-3 days and $236 shipping/insurace to return the junk and now they "don't know who would have told me such a thing" when I called after they sent this garbage back. They take advantage of people and should be ashamed.

hi there, i had to send a pendant back to gemstv it was bent and buckled around its base and very noticeable!
they refused my return postage because the checker has said the item is not damaged!?
i fail to understand how anyone could miss this damage and im upset as comments about it?me have been left on my account making me look a liar i dont care about the p&p i want them to remove these comments...im writing to the chief exsecutive about this as i have 2 other itens that must be returned a ladies ring that is a gents size?! and a bracelette with a pearl missing...shame as love gems...more care must be shown on packing to ship out and on returns...

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Their products are very poor quality

I bought jewelry from Gems TV as a new customer. I bought a Topaz ring, silver amethyst ring, and a silver chain. After ordering it and waiting for it to arrive, I googled GEMS TV and found they had quite a few problems, but decided to wait and find out for myself. Well, it arrived and just like everyone said., it was poor quality, very poor quality. The amethyst ring was shown in the picture to be dark purple and when it got here it was light pink. The topaz ring was very poor quality and it was shown on TV with rows of diamonds down each side. No, I got flat metal with metal ? cirle things and a few small diamond chips and I do mean small. The chain clasp is very cheap and had to get closed because it is a bad clasp.

The complaints all said something about the security tag and the company saying if you try to return it they say you tampered with it. Well one of the tags came all crimped up, so if I tried to return it they would say I did something with it. The chain didn't have a security tag on it so I called to see if that was policy and had to wait 25 minutes for somebody from customer service to tell me they don't send tags with chains, but they sent a notice that said don't remove tag if you are returning item? I am not going to order anything else because they don't send what is shown on the computer or the TV at least it didn't resemble it with the 2 rings I ordered. It is definitely poor quality and my husband who could care less about jewelry even commented about how cheap it looked.

I have bought from Gems tv over the years and some times the stones don't even stay in for a day. I gave a girlfriend a ring as a present, by the middle of the evening a diamond had dropped out. I have also given girlfriends bracelets and was surprised that they were not wearing them, eventually I asked if I had given the wrong style and in embarrassment I was told that some of the gems had fallen out. I have several crosses which on the second or third wearing, stones were missing. Also many of the amethythysts and morganites have faded and I had not worn them in the sun. Do avoid this company, if you wish to buy inexpensive jewellery try ebay where the prices are much cheaper and the quality far superior.

While their prices are attractive, I have received merchandise that was defective and the return process is slow and painful. Customer service is less than helpful, even if you have tracked and traced your return by their parcel carrier they will tell you over and over and over again that they have not received the item yet. I know they know what/how to track and trace but unless you insist that they log into their parcel carrier's website and confirm they received the package they will blow you off. Even after they acknowledge the return it can take up to 15 days to get your money credited to you.

I ordered a green amethyst ring from gemstv when i got it the stone was hardly green at all. it was very faint in color almost clear. not like the one they showed. but i decided to give them another chance and used the coupon to order a morganite ring. it was the same hardly pink at all almost clear. so i didnt order anything else for a long time. then a few weeks ago i saw the italian sparkle chain on sale and i decided maybe i would have better luck with ordering something with no gems. the chain is nice but very tiny. it is very dainty and on tv it looked a lot thicker. i was again disappointed. i am not sure at this point if i will ever order from them again.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Not as affordable as last year

I do not know what happened to Gems TV but the prices have drastically increased over the period of one year. I can't say that I exactly blame them. Their diamonds used to be dirt-cheap last year (around the time I stopped shopping with them.) Imagine my shock when I came back, wanting to shop, around the same time this year. A cluster diamond ring that used to go for about $400.00 last year, is now selling for about $1, 600.00! Is it a little bit more realistic? Yes, but what the hell happened? Have the diamonds gone up in value that much? I wonder if this price increase happened gradually over time or if it was one of those things that happened overnight? And why are all these people still saying their diamond jewelry is cheap? I can find almost the same price at my local high-end boutiques. I'm totally weirded out about this.

Gems TV was awesome when they first started- then their prices skyrocketed and they got rid of the best hosts-little wonder they went out of biz. Lot of their hosts are on JTV now- thank God not Marva- she gives me a headache- so loud and obnoxious- she's on a new jewelry channel called posh tv- they are EXTREMELY overpriced.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Stay away from them

I've been a gem collector for MANY years and have a good knowledge of gems and jewelery in general(GG degree from GIA). I don't watch much TV but when I do, I like to have GemsTV on just because I truly love Gems and they are the ONLY jewelery network I can stand to watch (and a few of the female hosts are pretty cute) ! Although I have never purchased anything from GemsTV, I have seen quite a few different pieces from others who have! For the average buyer, the pieces they sell are consistent (quality wise) to pieces you would pick up at a "general" retail store such as Macy's, Burdines etc! However, they pale in comparison to the jewelery sold by 'high end jewelers' and as a collector, I probably would never purchase anything from GemsTV! If you are looking for jewelery to wear and don't mind if it gets lost OR deteriorates over time, I think GemsTV will serve you well, because their prices represent their quality (You get what you pay for). If however, you are looking for investment pieces or heirlooms you can hand on down for generations, GemsTV would NOT be a wise choice! I've always thought of GemsTV as a cut above the 'other' jewelery networks (such as JTV who sell complete junk) but their choice to include Tim Temple, (a former host on JTV) to their team of hosts has really baffled me and may prove to be an unwise decision! We will see! Folks are just "turned off" by ANYTHING associated with JTV (ESPECIALLY their previous hosts), and understandably so! I sure hope GemsTV does not "regress" to the sub-par level occupied by JTV... I'd like to see them around for some time... But hey... Who am I?

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media How astounding is that not one minority is presented on your show

I have been a Gems TV buyer for a number of a years, and value the service you offer, but what astonishes me in reflection is that I cannot ever remember ever, not ever, seeing anyone other than a white person on the show, be that presenter, or crew. The only time you have gotten past your 'Up North' focus is when the sometimes show the workforce, ie creators of the works from the Far East.

How astounding is that not one minority is presented on your show. I am not usually sensitive to this sort of thing but after my teenage daughter and her friends pointed it out I have been watching for the past 6 months and am simply astonished that there seems to be this blanket 'white only' approach to staff that is visible on Gems TV.

Please enlighten me as to what the management policy is here... cos' quite honestly it does, to me, as a Londoner (yeah Southern Bast..d that I am)seem at odds with the mulitculture ethos that is supposed to make up the UK now...!

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media The faceting quality of their stones isn't the best, especially on their high end stones

I have been shopping at Gems TV since Nov. 2007. The faceting quality of their stones isnt't the best, especially on their high end stones...Tanzanite, Ruby..etc. Some of their low end stones are pretty good. The prices are better than the Mall stores...so I would say spend only what you can.

The Hosts are trained in selling to the public!

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media They do not stand behind their 30 day return

I purchased a chain from Gems TV and they sent the wrong item. I sent it back well with in the 30 day return window. They sent the same chain back to me and are now claiming it is not a Gems TV item and will not refund. I have called and all they say is they will get back to me. BEWARE they do not stand behind their 30 day return and are trying to not refund my purchase even though I sent them the chain in the same packaging they sent to me! I will NEVER order from them again!

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Cheap and shady company

Gemstv shipped to the wrong address. Asked me to go to the old address and retreive the package (UPS left it on the door step). After calling them three times, each time being on hold for 15 mins or more, the representative would not let me speak to a supervisor. Each rep wanted me to go get the package. Once a rep called me but opted to go straight to voicemail so as not to speak with me. After 4 weeks they issued a refund. Cheap and shady company. Thought they were better than that, but I was mistaken.

I bought an Item the first time it was shown, they kept showing it saying it had sold for $100.00 or more then on there inventory clearance it sold for the same price as the first time they showed it. The price never changed every time they showed it it was the same price. even though they would like you to believe it is on sale.

Love to watch your channel but have a complaint re: your technical broadcast skills. Twice in the last couple of weeks the Audio feed has vanished, to be off for many hours. Comcast cable says it is a problem on your end. maybe you need to hire some Audio techs who have more ability to keep the broadcast from being silent. thanks.

Don't believe their promises of when you will receive a refund if you are returning an item. Although GemsTV sent me an email saying they had received my return, I've yet to receive a credit back on my credit card. Buyer Beware !

I purchased 2 rings from gems tv, one was a maderios cetrine ring, the other a moonstone ring with tanzanite. Needless to say after wearing each ring a couple of times in social events i lost stones in each ring. i would never shop there again or refer a friend !

This is a shady company selling shoddy goods. The presenters make viewers feel they are part of a loving family advising them to collect their nasty second rate pieces as an investment. Customers lose money the moment they buy anything. The jewellery is cheaply made using inferior stones, no attention is paid to the setting as most of the stones fall out in a very short time, the claws are not secure. You can buy most things sold by Gems TV at a fraction of the price on ebay and the quality is superb compared to the company. Do not thow your money away on such inferior quality jewellery.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media They have terrible customer service

They have terrible customer service. I made an order of 5 rings in one night and decided the next day that it was impulse buying and called them to cancel. They were not very helpful and said that my order had been processed and that it's on it's way. However, the representative whom i talked to said it'll take about 3 days before it finally leaves the warehouse. In short, I had to go through a rigorous process just to cancel and refund my order. To this day, now almost 3 weeks later, I have not gotten my refund. Not to mention they run your credit card several times to see if there are avaliable funds. With me, they had run it 6 times which cause my checking visa to bounce and got 6 overdraft fees of $35 each. I will never do business with them again.

So typical of GEMS TV - they wanted you to think they were friendly and easy to do business with - but that was a front for crappy customer service. I was not disappointed when I heard they shut down === couldn't have happened to a more deserving company.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Their products are not so great after all

I have been watching Gems TV for well over a year I finally turned 18 and got my own credit card I came into some money early this year and started buying a gift for a pen pal overseas for her sixteenth birthday she loved it and I decided since the gift looked alright I would buy other things that I liked as well. I watched for hours! Literally I couldn’t stop watching I was an addict I watched for 8-12 hours a day I have bought things from almost all the presenters! Since May 20th 2017 I have received at least 40 items if not more and during all of this I have wasted with shipping and handling close to $3, 000. At first I was so excited and the items looked impeccable that I didn’t notice anything wrong but them as time went by seeing as my last purchase was a couple weeks ago the items I bought around June have started to turn colors especially the chains! I bought 2 18 inch sterling silver snake chains the first one the clasp broke before I got a chance to put it on and the second just recently I found out changed colors from their box they gave it to me in! Half is white the other is black. The presenters don’t know nearly as much as the call centers of course they talk about their professional opinions the people who generally watch Gems TV don’t know anything about jewelry all I can think about is the money I should have spent on my car what I thought would be well worth the investment and could resell I can’t. I have no hard feelings towards Gems TV but wish they would have been clearer and not so flashy and trying to be personal and make people think they actually care about the viewers when in reality they are just like used car salesmen they do and say anything to get you in and take the crappy car off their hands and into your driveway! I am now stuck with boxes and tons of stuff I am starting to see go darker or change with time some items are fine now but I can only imagine how it will age I hope their cleaning solution works but if it doesn’t I just count this as a lesson learned I hope anybody watching Gems TV and buying is more careful and I think things should be changed and we should start standing up for what has now become Home Shopping Networks! I was once a naïve little girl with money now I’m an educated poor girl with nothing more but a couple hundred dollars to her name and silver that looks tarnished and I haven’t even worn half my items! I recently took pictures… I was planning on making a blog about it but I am not sure it is even worth it people are happy when they first buy because it looks fabulous but over time I think most if not all the people will see that what they did what they bought wasn’t so great after all. Buyers beware!

I ordered an adjustable omega chain from GEMS TV and they send a non adjustable chain. They have a 30 day return policy so I sent the item back in the same packaging. They then sent the chain back to me and stated it was not a GEMS TV item and they would not refund my money. I have called the 800 line and all they state is they will get back to me. They will not take the chain back they sent to me even though I returned it well with in their 30 day policy! BEWARE, they sent the wrong chain and will not honor their own return policy. I will never order from them again!

I will NEVER shop at gems tv again. They have horrible customer service! They refused to return my money for 2 rings that I bought, but returned back to them. They said I cut the tags off of the rings, so I couldn't return them. However, I did NOT cut the tags off of the rings at all. The customer service person refused to listen to me. They refused to allow me to even speak with a supervisor. I will now have to take them to small claims court. HORRIBLE business practices here. Don't shop from them. Buyer beware.

I was told by a friend about Gems TV. I was watching on 04/01/2017 at about 1:30pm and whoever the women is selling the jewelry seriously needs to get a grip! I felt like I was in high school being scolded by the Principal! Over and Over and Over! Okay, enough. We know you should only bid if you want it and we know it may take from other people if we change our minds but really how many do you sell compared to the returns? As with any business you have a few bad eggs but come on, stop scolding. I turned to the channel because my friend told me it was "addictive" because the people are so funny and positive. Well, no thanks! I'll avoid that kind of fun! I'll make sure my friend understands what "negativity" means.

Look at the bright side of things. At least you've learnt from this lesson at a young age. Trust me, losing $3k at a young age and learning from the mistake now, may greatly help to ensure that you AVOID losing 10s of $thousands along the road of life, in future years to come!

I know of many people who are over 40 and STILL do not know how to manage their financial affairs and have huge loans and debts on credit as a result. Its a trap. DONT DO IT. Pay the card off, cut it up, throw it away, don't use credit again. You don't want those leeches living off of you, charging you stupid amounts of interest on the money that they lent to you. Adopt a habit to save money yourself, and only buy something if you have the actual money buy it, and can afford to do so.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Be very careful

I have purchased over $3, 000.00 from Gems TV and returned nearly half due to poor quality.

Often gems have much lighter color and clarity than shown on TV, several have had very poor faceting. Most rings have skinny little wimpy bands that the presenters say are "average in metal weight" (3 grams) even though most rings in any other store are twice as big. The clasps on sterling earrings are flimsy and bend so easily that they will need to be replaced after minimal use. Every diamond has been milky in color, which you may not notice until you wear them into a jewelry store and compare.

My biggest disappointment were the diamond and ceramic mens watches I purchased for my husband and 2 sons for Christmas. The bands are WAY to small for all of them and we can't find anywhere to get extensions.

A ceramic watch I got for myself fell apart at a joint in the band, I sent it back for repair. They returned a "similar" watch 3 weeks later. I complained because the face of the watch was a different color than the one I sent for repair. I was told, "we don't repair anything here, we replace items if we have them in stock or we refund your money".

I say, buyer beware. Yes, you can get some nice items, but BE CAREFUL.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Frustrating customer service

Gems TV customer service very frustrating and resizing offer misleading. "Your ring will be resized and returned to you within 10 business day" I think you can tell what my complaint is about. It's been more then 10 business days and I still have no ring. I noticed my credit card had not been charged so I called to check the progress, it was a week since they received the ring. (I have delivery confirmation).

They could not find the ring and I was told somebody would call me back in 1-2 days! That call never came so I called back again. Good news, they had the ring and logged it into the system. The bad news, they don't start counting business days until THEY'VE put it into their computer. So your ring may be sitting there for a week or more before getting logged in.

I was told it would ship later in the week. That would make it 15 business days or more. The supervisor told me they get "bags or rings in every day" "500 rings a day" blah blah blah. Only excuses.

Basically, from what the supervisor told me, there is No Way Anybody is getting a ring resized and returned with in 10 business days. They simply can't handle to volume.

My complaint about Gems TV, they are selling an add-on service they can't deliver on and didn't seem to care about it.

I'm told I'll have my ring by the end of the week. Too late!

Come on Gems TV, you worked hard to get me as a customer, you should work harder to keep me!

My husband purchased a 4 carat emerald and diamond ring for me off of here 3 weeks ago and still no ring. This is terrible when they give you 2 weeks on the phone. If I don't get ring I will definitely be reporting them to the better business bureau for investigation because money was taken off credit card night ordered. i hope this place is not a scam!

My complaint is not the quality of gemstv products ; it is I cannot stand the way some of the hosts (especially the blond one) seem to think they have to be constantly screaming . As she talks her voice just keeps esculating in volume. If I need more volume I can turn it up easily myself. Because of this I just turn the channel off when she is on air. I wouldn't shop in a store and listen to this annoying screaming so I certainly will not do it at home.

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Ridiculous company

I can't begin to tell you the frustration in dealing with Gems TV, especially with the Customer Service Team Lead. I have a legitimate request to receive reimbursement for my shipping and handling on returned defective items, but I am being refused this refund. Since I have been "terminated" as a customer for high returns, I have been ignored, treated rudely, and not given any respect. I don't warrant this treatment and will escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau. Can't Gems TV do what is right for the customer? Come on now! This is a ridiculous company. WARNING - DO NOT SHOP WITH GEMS TV! You will regret it!

Gems TV / General Entertainment and Media Simply ridiculous

My shopping experience with Gems TV USA started off well but declined very quickly. On the Gems TV broadcast, they continuously promote the "30 Day Money Back Guarantee, return for ANY reason, and their risk free shopping". If you follow this policy and have a high rate of returns, Gems TV will block your account. Gems TV penalizes / punishes the customer. I followed their 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, and did not realize my account was blocked until I called to place an order. This is a shopping network...so I was so surprised that they no longer wanted my business after I spent a few thousand dollars. This is so unfair! I contacted the Gems TV Corporate Office, but was ignored. Talk about the worst shopping experience ever. I am glad I found out how they treat their customers (poorly) and what this company is all about, their bottom line. Gems TV has poor business practices. Why say "risk free shopping" when there are consequences...your account will be blocked for high returns? Why say "return for ANY reason" when they are requesting a valid reason? Why say "30 Day Money Back Guarantee" when you are limited to the number of returns? Why say "they place the customer first" when no one from the Corporate office will respond? Ridiculous! I have taken my business elsewhere where I am valued as a customer.

I totally agree! I had the exact same experience. I was totally pissed off! However, I then toook my business to a couple of other companies, approximately $50, 000 worth! Maybe if they truly had a "No questions asked", return policy, and treated EVERYONE equally and kindly, and NOT gotten rid of us, that returned one too many items, they might still be in business! Oh well, too bad for them! AND, shame on them for being so obnoxious! They deserve to be going out of business!
