GotPrint Review: Affordable and High-Quality Printing, But Frustrating Submission Process
I recently had my first experience with GotPrint, thanks to a recommendation from a colleague. I ordered an 8.5x11 trifold brochure and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the final product. The brochure looked great and was well-made, all at a much better price than I found elsewhere.
However, the submission and review process was quite frustrating. I received multiple messages stating that my uploaded brochure files needed bleed and that the panels didn't match the template. This was despite the fact that my art had bleed and fit the bleed-crop-safe layout boundaries as shown on the online proof. I had to resubmit my files twice, which extended the process by several days. Eventually, I had to tell them to print as-is, which was a bit of a disappointment. To make matters worse, the two-day UPS shipment on a Friday wasn't delivered until Tuesday, which added even more time. I would have preferred to use USPS instead.
The templates available on the website didn't help me much, as I just measured the correct dimensions, including fold lines, in my layout and imaging software. This worked out well for me, but it might not be the best option for everyone.
If I decide to use GotPrint again, I'll make sure to factor in the long processing time (which is similar to that of VP***t) and trust my art. However, I do have to say that their customer service by telephone is essentially non-existent. When I called with a pre-purchase question, the phone rang forever and the person who finally answered didn't know anything.
Overall, I'm happy with the final product, but the submission and review process could use some improvement. If you're willing to put up with a bit of frustration, GotPrint is a good option for affordable and high-quality printing.
GotPrint: Disappointing Customer Service & Quality - Not Worth Your Time or Money
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with GotPrint. I've been a loyal customer for over a decade, and I've even convinced a few of my previous employers to switch over to them. But this most recent order has been a total nightmare. I needed the job done in a hurry, but it's been over 12 days and I still don't have my product. And the customer service has been a real letdown - they've been no help at all since the problems started. I finally spoke to a supervisor today, but they were just as unhelpful and rude as everyone else I've talked to. And to top it all off, I'm still paying for this "rush job" that's taken forever to complete.
I'm really disappointed that GotPrint has let me down like this. I've seen other reviews with similar problems, and it seems like GotPrint always blames the customer instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes. That's just not good customer service, and it's even worse than the usual bad service you get when you call with a problem.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money with this company. It seems like something's changed - maybe they're under new management or about to go bankrupt - because the quality, efficiency, and customer service have all taken a nosedive. I'm definitely not going to be a customer anymore, and I'll make sure to tell anyone who asks that they should look elsewhere for their printing needs.
Avoid GotPrint.com at all costs - worst printing service ever!
This place is the worst, seriously. I wouldn't even give it one star if I could. GotPrint.com is a complete disaster, and I'm telling you, do not use their printing services. They promised me that my order would be ready in four days, but it wasn't. They didn't even bother to update me on when my cards would be ready. I needed them for an event, and now I have nothing to give to our participants. It's a complete nightmare.
I'm telling you, don't be fooled by their cheap prices. They will con you into thinking that you're getting a good deal, but you're not. If you're on a tight deadline, forget about it. They'll give you a ton of excuses and tell you that they're understaffed. But let's be real, who isn't understaffed these days? It's just a bunch of nonsense.
I had to call them back because they didn't understand the importance of me needing my cards the next day. They said they would call me back, but they never did. And when I finally got through to someone, they just gave me the same old excuses. It's ridiculous.
I really wanted to give this place a good review, but I can't. Every negative review on here is right. This place is a complete disaster. The only person who was okay was Michael because he helped me get a refund. But other than that, this place is not trustworthy at all.
The owner claims that it was only a one or two-day delay, but the representative told me that it wouldn't be ready until mid-next week. I mean, come on. That's just ridiculous. This place is a complete joke, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Stay away from GotPrint.com.

Disappointing Experience with Got Print: A Former Customer's Review
I've been in the printing game for a long time, and I've worked with a lot of printers. From the old-school lithography days to the modern digital printing era, I've seen it all. But when I stumbled upon Got Print back in 2010-11, I was absolutely blown away by their quality, speed, and pricing. Especially their pricing - it was unbeatable. I've done countless small to medium-sized jobs with them over the years, and I never had a single issue. In fact, I loved picking up those jobs - there's just something about the smell of printer's ink that gets me going.
However, my most recent experience with Got Print was a complete disaster. Not only is their customer service virtually non-existent (with the exception of Jose, who is an absolute gem), but the quality of the job was subpar. I've decided to stop using Got Print altogether, and while I know my business won't make a dent in their profits, I can't help but feel disappointed in the direction they're headed. When a customer has to wait on hold for 15 minutes just to speak to someone who knows nothing about printing, it's clear that something is seriously wrong. Maybe it's Covid, maybe it's the labor shortage - but I personally blame the owners of Got Print. They're probably too busy buying fancy cars and mansions to care about their customers.
But I refuse to accept this kind of treatment. I've found another online printer that actually cares about their customers, and I'm eagerly awaiting my first delivery next week. If you're also fed up with Got Print's terrible customer service, know that there are plenty of other online printers out there who can deliver the same high-quality results and actually be there to answer your questions and address your needs.
So long, Got Print - it's been real, but it's time to move on. Signed, a former Got Print customer.
Mixed Feelings about GotPrint.com: Inaccurate Proofing and Unreliable Shipping
So, I recently used GotPrint.com for some business cards and I have mixed feelings about my experience. Let me start by saying that their "instant online proof" is not all that accurate. I made an error in my InDesign setup, but the proof did not show all the subtleties of layered PDFs. It was my fault, but I feel like their proof should have displayed the file as it was going to print. If it had, I would have made changes. They did not even acknowledge the fault of the proofing.
On the other hand, I had an issue with their shipping. For certain "lightweight" packages, they use "UPS Mail Innovations" which is like SmartPost and SurePost. It's a hybrid system where UPS takes the package from origin to the local post office, where the mail carrier takes over. The problem is that nobody gives these packages any respect. The tracking information is not real-time and inaccurate. GotPrint's problem is that they don't tell the customer what kind of shipment they are using. They just say "Economy" and that's not a service. They should tell us the carrier (UPS, USPS, etc.) and the service level (ground, 2nd day, etc.) and let us decide.
Overall, I would say that GotPrint.com has some issues that need to be addressed. The proofing system needs to be more accurate and they need to be more transparent about their shipping methods. I would still use them again, but I would be more cautious and ask more questions before placing my order.
GotPrint's Color Matching Policy Caused Me to Lose My Business - A Disappointing Experience
I'm a small time graphic designer who has been using GotPrint for all my clients. I don't make a lot of money, but I've always managed to get by and GotPrint has been my go-to printer. They've always done a great job and made me look good, until my last order. I sent in a file for a second printing and was disappointed to see that the colors came out all wrong. My client was very unhappy with the result and I was devastated. I filed a print issue with GotPrint, but they refused to take responsibility for it. They said that they only need to be within 80% color of my file, which leaves a lot of room for error. Unfortunately, they missed the mark this time and it's cost me my business.
I've been happy with GotPrint's quality up until now, but I can't afford to take losses like this. It's put me out of business and I wouldn't trust them anymore. I suggest that anyone who's considering using them should be aware that they may be out of pocket for unacceptable print quality. I did try to resolve the issue with GotPrint, but they told me that their quality control department had checked the color density of my file and that the change I saw was normal in gang printing. They're a gang printer and can't match colors 100%. They guarantee an 80% match to your file, but each time colors could play up to 15-20%. You can see their color matching policy on their website under "terms of use."
Overall, I'm disappointed with GotPrint's lack of responsibility for their mistake. As a small business owner, I can't afford to take losses like this and it's cost me dearly. I wouldn't recommend them anymore and I'll be looking for a new printer for my future projects.
GotPrint.com's Terrible Customer Service and Lack of Communication
I recently placed an order for a pop-up banner on GotPrint.com. They sent me a digital proof of the banner via email, which I could either approve or deny. I had a change that I wanted to make on my banner, so I denied the proof. They then prompted me to submit a new file, which I did with the changes. They sent me a new proof to approve or deny, and I approved it as it was the correct banner with the correct changes.
However, when my banner arrived, it was the FIRST proof that I had DENIED. I was very disappointed and frustrated with this mistake. I called customer service to report the issue, and they said they would look into it and contact me by email. They emailed me later that day and confirmed that it was their mistake and they had printed the wrong banner. They placed the order again for me.
I contacted customer service again to ask if they could overnight the banner to me as I needed it within the next few days. Unfortunately, I got NO response back. When I received an email saying that the order had been placed, I asked again when the banner would arrive as I needed it as soon as possible, but again got NO response. I contacted customer service one last time and expressed my dissatisfaction with their customer service and their lack of response to any of my questions. However, I received NO response from them. I was very disappointed with their lack of communication and professionalism.
My company is currently redoing all four of our divisions' booths for tradeshows and will be spending a lot of money. I am so glad that I only purchased one piece from GotPrint.com before any of the others. I will never go through GotPrint.com again and advise all to stay away from them. Their customer service is terrible, and they do not seem to care about their customers' needs.
GotPrint's Quality Control Failed Me: 2,500 Upside Down Greeting Cards
I've been using GotPrint for a hot minute now, since 2013, and I've ordered a ton of stuff from them over the years. But let me tell you, my most recent order was a real doozy. The inside text of my greeting cards was printed upside down, can you believe it? And not just a few, oh no, they sent me 3 whole cases of 2,500 greeting cards that are completely unusable. I mean, come on, GotPrint, what gives?
Now, I always pay for their MANUAL PROOF service, you know, just to make sure someone at GotPrint is actually looking at the proof to make sure everything is uploaded properly. But apparently, one file wasn't uploaded right and they didn't even bother to let me know there was a problem. Rude much?
So, I called up their customer service department and talked to this dude who said they should have notified me about the problem since I ordered the manual proof. Well, no one did, and the proof instructions were pretty vague, so I approved it thinking everything was good to go. The proof said "Cover once folded" and it looked right to me, one panel the FRONT cover and the other panel the BACK cover. But if they had said FRONT once folded or FRONT PANEL once folded or FRONT COVER once folded, I would have known something was up.
Their customer service department admitted they messed up, but their quality control department didn't agree and refused to fix the situation. So now I'm stuck with 2,500 greeting cards that are completely useless. Needless to say, they've lost me as a customer. I mean, who wants to deal with that kind of hassle?
Disappointing Experience with GotPrint: Inconsistent Quality and Customer Service Issues
I've been using GotPrint for over a decade now, and I have to say, my recent experience has left me feeling disappointed. I placed a few orders for business cards and rack cards, and unfortunately, the cutting process left a lot to be desired. I'm not one to nitpick, but the cuts were so bad that I couldn't accept them.
When I reached out to customer service, they told me that my business card file had incorrect specifications. I was surprised to hear this, as I had used the same design at least four times before without any issues. The design has a border, and they claimed that my design was visibly short of the safe and trim lines. I had to explain this three separate times, twice to customer service and once to quality control. It wasn't until I convinced quality control to review the actual file used for print that they admitted that the file met their own specifications. I had been asking them to review the file from the beginning. They did finally agree to reprint the business cards.
The same thing happened with the rack card. They claimed that the design was faulty, even though it was the exact same file that I had used before with GotPrint. It was frustrating to have to go through the same process again.
I've also noticed that the quality of the other items I received over the past few weeks has been inconsistent. Some were good, while others were not up to par. I was hoping that my experience was just a fluke, but after reading some of the other 1-star reviews here, it seems like I'm not alone.
As much as it pains me to say it, I don't think I can recommend GotPrint anymore. After 10 years of using their services, it's time for me to look elsewhere.
GotPrint.com's Customer Service Needs Improvement
I've been using GotPrint.com for more than 15 years and have spent thousands of dollars on orders. However, I must say that their customer service has gone downhill. Recently, I submitted an order for folders, but they replied that the artwork was incorrect and needed to be resubmitted. I sent an email to ***@gotprint.com earlier today, requesting someone to call me and explain what was wrong with the artwork. Unfortunately, I faced issues while trying to upload the new files as their uploading page was not working properly. It kept showing an error message that the artwork didn't extend to the edge, even though it did. I contacted customer service, and the agent, Brenda G., said that there was nothing they could do as she didn't have a workout for that. I was shocked! I mean, they are a printing company, and they should have an email address where people can send the files or an account with senditnow or something similar. I decided to cancel the order, but the agent didn't even know where I should click to cancel it. I am now looking for a new printing company as their bad customer service is killing them.
UPDATE: I received a call from a customer service representative, but they didn't understand the notes and what was wrong with the file either. It was really funny when she tried to explain it and then said, "Wait, this doesn't make any sense!" I agree with her. GotPrint.com needs to have their artwork guys, who actually do the printing, call and explain exactly what's wrong with the artwork. I have communicated with three different customer service agents today, and none of them could clearly explain to me what was wrong with the artwork so I could fix it. Also, if their upload page is having issues, they need an alternate way to upload files for when that page isn't working. After all, this is all they do for a living!
