Their customer service is so rude and condescending. They always argue with you about what their refund policy says, even when you read it word for word from their website. They twist the words to suit themselves instead of following what they clearly state. If I didn't need their products for my business, I would definitely stop dealing with them.

I bought heat transfers from Stahls' Transfer Express for my business, ***, but the batch of transfers turned out to be defective. They started cracking after just two washes! I contacted the company to address the issue, and they requested proof in the form of pictures. I complied with their request and spoke to a lady who assured me that they would refund the owed amount of $90.30. True to her word, I received the money a day or two later. However, to my surprise, I woke up this morning to discover that the company had taken the money back from my account without any explanation! This has left me extremely dissatisfied, and I have no intention of doing business with them again. I have recordings of my conversations with the lady regarding the $90.15 refund, and I have already visited my bank to file a claim. They have advised me to also file a report with the local police department. It's incredibly disappointing that a company like yours, which has already cost me both money and time, would resort to such unethical behavior. I will be calling tomorrow morning to resolve this matter. The ComplaintsBoard.com's rating of your company is clearly inaccurate.

I bought 'bout 20/25 transfers with lots of colors. I pressed 'em on shirts for my customers' orders, no problem at first. But then, after the customers wore the shirts, the colored part of the transfers started wrinklin' and peelin' off. The white part was fine, though, no issues there. So, I reached out to customer service and all they could say was that it was prob'ly my fault. They said it could be 'cause of the type of press I used, the heat, or the pressure. But if that's the case, why didn't the white part have any problems? It was only the colors. So, I asked 'em to help me figure out what went wrong or where to start fixin' it. But all they said was they couldn't help and I should call 'em back if I couldn't figure it out myself. By then, I had already shipped most of the shirts and had to message every customer to apologize for somethin' that wasn't even my fault. I had high hopes of workin' with 'em more, but things went downhill real fast.
I had the same problem. Red and white goof proof transfers, Gildan black 100% cotton t-shirts. The red scratches off with only a light scrape of a finger nail. The white part of the transfer does not scratch off no matter how hard I scrape. The company blamed my press, the pressure and the temperature. So why is the white part adhering so well?

I ordered 10x custom glow in the dark screen printed heat transfers. They were really late with shipping them and upgraded my shipping method to next day air. But they left it sitting for a few days before the carrier picked it up, so that shipping upgrade didn't mean anything. Finally got the transfers, and more than half of them had no adhesive at all. I thought I could still use the ones with adhesive, but I was so wrong. The few that had adhesive were all messed up and left a big glue shadow, ruining our expensive garment. It's disgusting that they sent me this order without any quality control, especially considering how much they charge for so few transfers. They claim to be the best, but this last order shows they're really not. Previous orders had similar quality control issues, but never this bad where every single transfer is useless. They need to fix it.

I ordered some Heat Transfer T-shirt logos from Stahls Transfer Express on May 28. I'm having lots of problems with the logos falling off, cracking, and not sticking to the clothes. I've been doing this business for 6 years and never had these issues when pressing shirts. I contacted the company and they said I was using the right heat press settings and doing everything correctly. I sent them samples of the logos to press and send back, which they did. I noticed some of the logos they sent back were wrinkled and didn't look good after washing. I reached out again to say I'm still not happy with these logos and they said it's just how these logos are and they can't do anything about the wrinkles. I want a refund for these logos, but the company won't give me one because they don't see anything wrong with them. I'm a very small business, run by myself, and this has really hurt my company since the logos cost around $800.

I ordered transfers from Stahls' Transfer Express on November 01 (Order #G10112-0473). The transfers were used in 2022 and they weren't sticking right to the clothes. I went on their website on April 19, 2022 to report the problem and show that I used the right clothes for the transfers, just like they said. I even used the info sheet that comes with the transfers 'cause I don't have their fancy heat press. In my report, I explained how I followed all their info and advice on which transfers to buy for the clothes I was using, and how I had to adjust the temperature 'cause I don't have their heat press. But they kept asking me the same questions over and over, even though I already answered them and showed them screenshots from their own website. In the end, they didn't give me a refund 'cause I was past their 30-day rule. It's a bummer 'cause customer service ain't their thing at Stahls' Transfer Express. I wouldn't recommend their transfers or service to anyone. I uploaded some pics of the problems and screenshots from their website. I also have the whole conversation showing how they kept giving me the runaround and asking the same questions again and again.

We a non-profit org that makes and sells spirit wear for our local high school football team. We buy heat transfers from the company mentioned above to make our clothes. We've had nothing but problems with the quality of the transfers. The first issue had to be fixed by their chemist to fix the dye colors used by the printing machine. We lost some clothes during that situation. We didn't ask for reimbursement. The company reprinted the transfers for free. The most recent problem involved flawed transfers again. We ordered 40 transfers of a certain emblem. While pressing the clothes, we noticed a small spot on each transfer that didn't transfer to the material. The missing spot was visible on each damaged item. We couldn't sell these damaged clothes. There were 2 hoodies and 5 t-shirts worth $180. We took the flawed transfers and damaged clothes to the company in Mentor, Ohio. They said a "speck" must have landed on the printing machine causing the spot. We asked for $180 store credit for the lost clothes. We gave them an invoice. They said they only reimburse for two articles of clothing.

I hired Stahls to make a custom patch for me. I sent them my design and paid $27.50. They said they would send me a proof. After a few back-and-forths, I wasn't happy with how they changed the artwork. So, I paid them another $25.00 to fix it. They sent me the revised artwork in an email on 11-09-2022. I saw that they fixed the lettering, so I approved it. But when I tried to order the patches, I couldn't change the color of the background material. I emailed and chatted with customer service, and they told me it would cost an extra $25 to $26 just to change the material. They never told me that if I wanted to change colors, I would have to pay more. They only said I needed to approve the design, which I did. It's a simple problem, and they're trying to get another $25.00 from me. It's not fair. I attached the instructions they sent me. Nowhere does it say that I can't change the material color once I approve it. Please look at the revised leather patch proof for your Sumpter Hat logo. They sent a physical sample in the mail, which should arrive in a few days. They asked me to wait until I receive it before making any edit requests. I can approve and order it online or reject it for changes if needed. They mentioned that making changes to the art might cost extra. If I order online, I need to buy the FlexStyle Silicone Pad or 1/8" Foam Cover Pad if I don't already have one (only needed for heat applied logos). I ordered transfers from Stahls on 9/30/22. My package was supposed to arrive on 10/5. It did arrive on 10/5, but the package was all messed up and the transfers were ruined. I called Stahls and sent the rep some pictures of the messed up package and what was inside. He said he would replace the damaged transfers and send me a new package overnight. I told him I had a deadline on 10/7 and it would be really tight to get the package on time. He said the best he could do was make sure I got it on the morning of the deadline. But guess what? I didn't get the package on the deadline, which was a Friday. I didn't get it until Monday morning of the next week. So now I lost $300 from the job I couldn't finish, $111.07 on transfers that I couldn't use because they didn't arrive on time, and I even lost a client because of this mess. When I called Stahls on that Monday morning, the manager, ***, told me I couldn't get my money back because it was the carrier's fault, not theirs. This same thing happened to me when I ordered transfers from them on 9/15/22. They arrived ruined that time too. I called and they fixed the problem. I tried to explain to her that even though the carrier was late, it was still their responsibility to package the transfers properly in the first place. They come in a flimsy bag without any instructions for the carrier on how to handle it, but they don't want to take any responsibility for the problem that happened to me twice in less than 30 days. I'm out a total of $411.07. I only asked them for the $111.07 that I spent on the transfers they sent me that got ruined because of their cheap packaging. But all they want to do is give me a small discount and free shipping on my next order to make up for it. I'm here, losing a ton of money, lost a client, and all they can say is "I'm sorry for your loss."

I got an order for 25 3-color goofproof transfers on Oct. 20th for $286. I did a test print on a black hoodie, following the instructions exactly. I planned to print and ship 25 hoodies to customers the next day. But after the test, I noticed that the red color looked different from what I saw online and on the transfer. It changed a lot after printing. It went from bright red to almost brown, and it lost some of its saturation and brightness. I used to be a screen printer, so I know this is because there wasn't enough red ink or a white under-base for printing on dark clothes. The red color is important for my brand, and I can't send these to my customers because they won't meet their expectations. The product guide and online designer don't mention that colors can change so much when printing on dark clothes. Customers shouldn't have to guess if their colors will change or ask for a white under-base. It's usually standard for screen printing jobs, especially if you don't know the color of the clothes. I contacted the company to explain the problem and asked for a refund so I could buy a different transfer. They got back to me the next morning and offered free shipping if I wanted to reprint the order for another $286. I replied again, expressing my concern about the color change and asking for a refund. But I didn't get a reply for the next 3 days. I called them on Oct 24th. They still didn't want to give me a refund so I could place a new order. This big company, with a mission to help t-shirt businesses grow, has lost my business forever because of a $286 order.

Order was for local nonprofit event Friday night. Reached out Thursday via [protected]@transferexpress.com after seeing missing adhesive on transfers and using test transfer. Two spots without adhesive didn't transfer to shirt. Got email response on Monday morning, told to open ticket on their website. Order was due Friday, had to decide. Pressed order so nonprofit had some apparel - not perfect - to sell at fundraiser. Read all Transfer Express "guarantees" on website, thought they would make it right since I reached out Thursday with photos before pressing more garments. Because they didn't respond, had to decide for best outcome for customer. Submitted ticket, they said they could refund order when returned in full. Not fulfilling customer guarantee. Where's offer for reprint? Called customer service, woman on line said it "was visible" no glue on transfer part from photos I sent. She called back, supervisor said it was application issue on my part, no refund. Explained situation again, it's product issue on their end - used countless transfers - she acknowledged but said they'd only refund remaining transfers if I send them back. Big company doesn't care for small businesses. No accountability. Every single transfer in order had no adhesive.
