Service/ products
Hello,
My name is Jimmy Lee Embry. I have been a loyal customer since 1996 and I have not received great service. It has gotten to the point where I have to file a complaint about the manufacturer and how slow the services are. I have 3 broken windows. One window is cracked and cold air is coming in the home. The other window is where the handle is broken. The third window does not even open. This is all due to the technician not installing it correctly and the other window arriving with a crack to where now I am paying a high gas bill because I do not have the repaired windows. I feel exhausted from how much I have been on the phone with Eurotech and great lakes trying to get this serviced and repaired. I am an elderly customer and have a family living here with small children and if something happens to them due to this issue that can be fixed there will be more than a complaint filed. I am concerned about their well-being and do not want my family to freeze this winter. The Order# is 204140. I have exhausted all my energy with Eurotech (Jenna/Shelly) as well as speaking with the technician as to who is messing up the orders. I can be contacted at my cell Jimmy [protected] / Luce [protected].
Desired outcome: I would like this resolved as soon as possible. Winter is a month away and the snow will cause my home to be so cold.
replacement vinyl windows seal failures & leaning Garden window
In 2006 I purchased vinyl entire house replacement double hung windows, a bay window, patio door. To date almost every pane of glass has a seal failure, none of this is MY fault. The local distributor wants ME to pay over $100 each for labor to replace the 6 glass panes their factory did not seal properly. Before the failures started I also purchased their Garden Window. Within a short time the side windows were not closing properly, then the main front pane got a seal failure, and the entire window started leaning forward. I notified them & I took photos of the vinyl separating. Nothing has been repaired. All the Great have a Lifetime Warranty; I should NOT have to pay to replace factory failures. I've reported all this to the company and no one will even come out or stand behind their products. That's NOT right I should have to pay $700 to $900 to correct their error. Please help me.

Desired outcome: Replace all seal failures and entire new Garden window at NO additional cost to me. Stand behind your products and do the right thing. There are too many seal failures and errors on Their part. This has gone on long enough.
Great Lakes Windows
It's now May 2022 and the Customer Service Tech. will not respond. I'm at my wits end. ('monica.[protected]@cornerston-bb.com')
Below is the email I sent in March. I received 2 windows two weeks ago. I got a window repair to come in and replace the bad window. There where two windows sent. One was too small and the other was too large. As you can see the email below, plus the warranty clearly has the correct dimensions, based on the warranty instructions. It cost me $200.00 for the window guy to come in. I'm pretty sure he will come back and replace it when I get the correct window. Attached is the information from the delivered windows. The new order number was: 668135. I don't know what to do next.
Thank you

Desired outcome: Get the correct replacement window.

Monitor series - great lakes vinyl windows
Since April I have been attempting to remedy faulty coil balances in the 11 windows we had installed in October of 1999!
Have forwarded a copy of contract that states there is a Lifetime Warranty on these windows - plus photo's of balance coils only to be told that they were no longer stocked and than referred to SWISCO!
Am I responsible for the purchase of said coils and than pay someone to have them installed?
HORRIBLE PRODUCT
We purchased a Great Lakes Bay window from Ron @Bethlehem Windows & had it installed by his son on 8/13/12. 2 days later when it rained the window leaked! I called Ron & he showed up next day @4:30, him & his son& other worker were hammering on window, banging on it, and then cut it to get it to close! I asked why are you doing this he said well I installed...

we purchased 36 "great lakes replacement windows". we have paid dearly. every window that faces the sun, the seal has broken and the glass has had to be replced and the windows have had to be resealed. now, the tilt in sash releases are falling apart. and the inside cam assembly has broken. we have spent almost as much on repairs (company went out of business that sold us the windows shortly after we installed them". as we did purchasing them. we are talking about 23 re-glass (sealant), lock latches, you name it, this companys windows are junk. dont waste your money. and, when you apply to them for help, "you must have installed them wrond." really, 23 windows all installed wrong. but yet, the ones that dont get sun, have not broken or lost its seal. explain that. please.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
we purchased 29 replacements windows and have had at least 15 fail, they use to send the whole window unit now only send the glass. also numorous other part failures
Poor quality
Purchased 8 replacement windows less than 6 years ago. Over the last 3 years at least one of the windows has suffered a broken seal and mold is growing in between the dual panes of glass. Great Lakes does send out replacement glass but I'm responsible for the cost of getting the new glass installed in the vinyl frame. They don't send a complete, ready to...
