Easy to work with
Easy to work with. They installed my 24 solar panel system within 30 days after I signed my contract.
Todd Daley and GDP are awsome!
Todd Daley and GDP are awsome! Two years later and we still have 0$ PGE bill. Great service, great install.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. We had the solar system for four months and found out it don't work. Also, the workers who put the roof in left trash (nails, screws, debris) all over our yard and rain gutters. I asked them to fix it right away but they ain't responded. I'm takin' 'em to court.
Green Day Power and **** really impressed me!
Green Day Power and *** really impressed me! As a salesman, I was pleased to find *** to be not just friendly, but also fully involved during our installation process. *** kept in touch with me throughout the pre-installation procedures and even came on the day of the install to introduce me to the crew! The crew, made up of Green Day employees (not sub-contractors), were also friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and worked incredibly hard. They managed to install my system in just one day, and it has been working perfectly ever since. Thank you ***!
I just got done with the install of a whole house generator from Green Day Power
I just got done with the install of a whole house generator from Green Day Power. If I could give 'em a double 5 star rating, I totally would. In this day and age of iffy service and questionable work, this company is a total breath of fresh air. The boss and top guy were both really hands-on. But it didn't stop there. Literally, every single one of their workers involved with my install, I got to know on a first name basis. They're experts at Generators, Solar, and Roofing. They were cool with all my questions and super skilled at what they do. Truly a hassle-free experience with this company. I highly, highly recommend 'em.
I chose Green Day Power for my roof install after getting estimates from 2 other companies
I chose Green Day Power for my roof install after getting estimates from 2 other companies. One company asked for more money than expected, so I didn't choose them. The estimate from GDP was thorough, they even checked my attic and noticed I needed new boards. When the crew arrived, I reminded them about the boards, and they said it was included in the estimate. I chose GDP because it was within my budget. During the 3-month installation, the crew left a big trash pile on my lawn without covering it. Some trash ended up flying around, so my husband had to pick it up. I called the company and they said it wouldn't happen again. On the second day, they covered the trash with a tarp, but it wasn't what I was told. I also saw some crew members peeing behind our shed. They should have a portable toilet. On the final day, one crew member tried to upsell my husband on re-roofing our patio cover, which wasn't necessary. It was unprofessional. Then, I got a call saying the cost would increase by $3,000 because they didn't realize new boards were needed. They admitted it was a mistake. I agreed to pay only for the materials, not the labor. The company tried to increase the price, but eventually agreed to what I said. I should have chosen the company that did a more thorough inspection. The roof looks good, but I faced many issues with GDP. I would not recommend this company.

Failurer to honor warranty. I've tried to reach out to the company many times, but they never respond. Their negligences are causing financial damages.
7/21 - 10/21 - Green Day Power installed 23 solar panels on my house
7/21 - 10/21 - Green Day Power installed 23 solar panels on my house. The solar system doesn't produce enough power to be used and I ended up overpaying. The salesperson lied to me, saying that I wouldn't have to pay SMUD anymore if I switched to solar. They assured me that I would have enough power for the entire year. Unfortunately, the salesperson and the company were dishonest and failed to provide the necessary services. Green Day Power can be reached at [protected].
Green Day Power took my money and never finished the job
Green Day Power took my money and never finished the job. I called them many times, but they never answered. The electrician didn't want to upgrade my electric panel, even though I paid for it. They also won't give me a detailed bill. They hire random people with no experience or certification. They took our money and didn't give us what we paid for. I want them to take their panels back and be done with them. They can't be trusted. I have all the visits from this company and conversations with their staff recorded on my exterior home cameras.

I bought a solar system from Green Day Power Solar, financed by a deceptive company.
I bought a solar system from Green Day Power Solar, financed by a deceptive company. They used dishonest sales tactics, promising me a rebate over $10,000 to reduce my loan, which was false. They claimed I'd get $13,000 in tax rebates to pay down the loan, but it was a lie. Our calls were recorded, providing evidence of their fraudulent and misleading practices.
I got in touch with Green Day Power on February 22, around 1:34PM through a phone call
I got in touch with Green Day Power on February 22, around 1:34PM through a phone call. I had no idea about this company before, as nobody told me about it. I actually reached out to another company called *** in Utah because they offered a do-it-yourself option, which seemed like a money-saver. While waiting for a response from ***, I unexpectedly received a call from a different number at the exact time I was expecting to hear back from them. Assuming it was ***, I agreed to meet up on February 25, at 2:00PM.
During the meeting, the salesperson was quite pushy and kept insisting on seeing my utility bills. They tried to offer me a deal that was supposedly better than what *** had proposed. I felt like they were trying to pressure me into something, so I asked them to leave. After reading reviews from other people, I discovered that Green Day Power has a reputation for stealing and selling personal information, as well as buying information from other sources. Looking back at the phone call, they never mentioned the name of their company.
When we met with the sales associate at our home, we explained our needs for power during blackouts
When we met with the sales associate at our home, we explained our needs for power during blackouts. My parents, who are in their 70s, my 96-year-old grandmother, and myself in my 40s, all have disabilities and rely on electric medical devices. It's crucial for us to have a continuous power supply in our house. Initially, we were considering a gas generator, but it turned out to be too expensive for our budget. The sales associate then suggested a solar battery, assuring us that it would meet all our requirements. I asked multiple times if it would cover the entire house, and he confirmed it. So, we decided to go ahead with the solar battery.
Two men arrived to install the battery, and afterwards, we had a conversation with them. They informed us that the battery only keeps the AC running for one hour and provides power to only three small rooms. This was quite disappointing and not what we were led to believe. Immediately, we contacted the company and expressed our dissatisfaction. They confirmed that the installers were correct and admitted that the sales associate had given us incorrect information. My mother was furious and demanded that they remove the battery and refund our money for deceiving us.
We bought solar panels in March and paid in full
We bought solar panels in March and paid in full. For the past few months, we've noticed that our electricity bill hasn't been covered by the solar panels. Last month, I spoke to a manager from ***. He told me that the solar panels haven't been turned on, even though we've been living here since March. No one ever informed us about this. I asked for a reimbursement for the period when our solar panels weren't turned on and should have covered our electricity costs. I also requested that they clean the solar panels before turning them on, as they've been installed for almost a year but haven't produced anything. Today, I called the manager to check on the progress, and he said the solar panels will be turned on. However, he mentioned that none of the things we discussed would actually happen because it wasn't their fault. This is frustrating, especially since we moved into a new house and expected our solar panels to be turned on the month after moving in. Nothing has been done, and no one bothered to inform us that our solar panels wouldn't be functioning for such a long time. This is unprofessional! I've never heard of a solar company behaving like this.
Communication is not great
Communication is not great. The solar panel placement changed, which should lower the cost. Travis Hall, who left but still works with GDP clients supposedly, said I would hear back by the end of the week. That was 3 weeks ago. I agreed to the installation because I could apply for the SGIP rebate, which is a big amount. Travis, the sales guy, didn't know about it, but when I looked it up, I needed specific info for the application. After weeks of asking, he finally connected me with the rebate person. But she quit too. Travis was also supposed to update me on the PG&E credit during the installation, but no response to my emails. So I was referred to Emily, the scheduling person, who has been more helpful than anyone else and actually calls back, until this week. There's another person, Caroline Lynch, who is now in charge of the SGIP. Emily had to push Caroline to contact me. After playing phone tag for a few days and then weeks of no call or email response, I finally caught her on the phone. The SGIP application only takes about 30 minutes to fill out, but there are documents and signatures needed. But again, no response. The installation has been delayed multiple times due to lack of inventory and now because of a panel and wiring problem. But I won't criticize the installers.
