However, one day I decided to make a call and I was fortunate enough to speak with a representative named ***. She really put my mind at ease, answered all of my questions, and provided me with excellent guidance regarding some letters I had received. After the phone call, I felt much more confident in the program and had a better understanding of where I stood in the process with my accounts. Thank you so much, ***! I really hope that *** treats other clients with the same patience and understanding. It can be incredibly stressful for us, and I personally want to do everything I can to support the program in successfully completing my debt.

This company charged me 25% from the total debts settlement from each account. They were able to do two of my account the fee was $4500 and my debt was $9000 this is not design to get you out of debt it is design to keep you in debt it was the fine print i didnt see.Unfortunately this company runs a scam, they are not helping you in- fact they prey on people they are not a good company that would help people. I signed up with GRT due to me retiring and not being able to know if I could afford my payments any more. Well... about 2 weeks after initial consulting and setting up I recieved a job offer making substantially more. I called to let them know I would not be needing the program and I would take care of my debts myself. They were understanding and very nice. However the individual that initially signed up with called and was extremely rude about me canceling. Will not reccomend. The snide comments from the individual were enough to not want to deal with this company again.

I cancelled my program with GRT Financial and I was told that I would get my money back, which they had taken out of my bank account. I cancelled my program on May 2nd, and yet they took money out on May 3rd. Of that money they returned, I only received a portion. I was told by numerous people when I called GRT that I would get my money back in 7 to 10 business days.
I called on May 23, and spoke with a representative who put me on hold and never came back to the phone, so I hung up and called again. The lady I spoke with then told me that due to some fees that were not explained when I signed up for the program, I was only entitled to a fraction of the total amount, 354 dollars. As a result, they got to keep a significant amount for fees. This made me question how much of my payment was actually going towards paying off my bills and how much was going into their pockets.
I recommend that no one sign up for a program from GRT Financial because they have not been transparent and may not have clients' best interests at heart.

I work for a collections agency and one of our representatives received a call from a company asking to settle an account. We explained to the representative that we needed to submit the request and call them back with an approval or denial. Since February 6th, I have made 13 phone calls to follow up on this matter. I left messages on all 13 occasions, hoping for a return call as promised within 48 hours. I even requested to speak to a supervisor, but was denied. As a consumer, I would not recommend this company as they unnecessarily prolong the settlement process and may even charge monthly fees. It's frustrating to have to constantly chase after a so-called professional company just to get a simple answer on the approval or denial of a settlement.

I cannot recommend GRT Financial. However, I would like to give 5 stars to the analyst who assisted me today. I highly recommend speaking with Kristal Allen as she was extremely helpful in explaining all the fees and breakdowns up until today. She provided me with thorough and informative explanations. I appreciate her honesty and understanding. It has been 6 months since I started with GRT Financial, but only one account has been partially settled. Unfortunately, the settlement fee was deducted before the creditor was even fully paid. Additionally, I was unaware that the 25% fee was calculated based on the total amount owed, not the settled amount. While GRT Financial is an okay company, I suggest considering managing this process on your own and working directly with your creditors. This is just my personal opinion.

Unfortunately, they only returned a portion of the money. Specifically, out of the total amount they took, I only received *** dollars back. This was quite disappointing, as I had been informed by several GRT representatives that the refund process would take 7 to 10 business days.
On May 23, I called GRT and spoke with ***. However, after putting me on hold, she never returned to the call, so I eventually hung up and called again. The next representative I spoke with explained that there were some undisclosed fees associated with the program, which meant that I was only entitled to *** dollars out of the original 354 dollars. The other representatives I have interacted with between T and P have been unhelpful and sometimes even rude. However, today P went above and beyond by emailing me the information I had been requesting for a while. Other representatives, most recently J F, had promised to email it to me but failed to do so. P was kind enough to not only send me the information but also stayed on the phone with me to explain the coding in the document. Despite P's exceptional assistance, I am still contemplating dropping GRT altogether. I have already paid significantly more than my original outstanding debt, yet I still have two accounts that are being paid on and two accounts that remain unsettled. Overall, this review does not reflect positively on GRT as a whole. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service, but I am grateful for P's outstanding support. Thank you!

After experiencing two significant financial hardships, I made the decision to explore debt consolidation options. With numerous companies to choose from, I ultimately selected GRT based on their numerous positive reviews. It has now been almost three years since I enrolled with them, and they successfully consolidated two out of my three accounts. Today, I made the decision to withdraw the third account from the program as I am in the process of purchasing a home, and it is a requirement to pay off that account in order to proceed. Otherwise, I would have entrusted GRT to handle it. Despite removing an account, GRT promptly "graduated" me from the program and is refunding all the funds in my escrow account without any hassle whatsoever. Whenever I needed assistance, they were readily available to speak with me and were always eager to help, whether it was over the phone or through email.
I would like to give special recognition to Terrell, who assisted me today. I was quite anxious about removing an account, fearing that it would be a complicated process given recent events. However, Terrell swiftly provided assistance and ensured that all my questions were thoroughly answered. Additionally, Theresa S was always accessible via email (as I prefer not to talk on the phone). Even after I mistakenly contacted her a couple of times after moving on from her area, she consistently took care of me and provided the correct contacts for future inquiries. Overall, everyone I interacted with at GRT did an exceptional job of making me feel reassured and comfortable throughout the entire process.
I would also like to mention the end result: I successfully removed two accounts, which accounted for approximately 50% of their value. As previously mentioned, I am receiving a full refund of the funds in my escrow account. Furthermore, my credit score has increased by over 200 points within a span of two years. GRT effectively removed those accounts from my credit report, exactly as they had promised. I wholeheartedly recommend them with a rating of 10/10.

Initially, I had trouble making a payment because I wasn't informed that the last payment I needed to make was not included in my overall balance to pay off the creditors. As a result, I had to issue a stop payment with my bank to avoid overpaying my account with GRT. Later on, I was informed that I needed to make that one-time payment in order to graduate from the GRT program. Every time I tried to set up a payment with GRT, it would not go through, even after removing the block from my bank account. Thankfully, when I called GRT again today, I was fortunate enough to speak with Pamela D. She immediately corrected the problem by explaining that since I had initially stopped the draft for payments, I needed to sign a new agreement form. She promptly sent it over via email, and I electronically signed it. Pamela D has been the only person at GRT who has assisted me with this problem that I have been calling about for a month. Everyone else has provided me with false information without taking the time to ask questions or research the issue at hand in order to better assist me. Instead, they have made me feel as if they dislike their job and don't want to be bothered. I am lucky and grateful to have had the opportunity to talk to Pamela D, who resolved my issue the first time we spoke. I wish that during the year or more that I have been dealing with GRT, I had been fortunate enough to get Pamela D on the line. If that had been the case, my experience with GRT wouldn't have been a nightmare, leaving me with many headaches. Thank you again to Pamela D for resolving my issue the first time around. I had a terrible experience with this company. Over the course of 5 months, they took a whopping $1,437 from me, claiming it was for negotiating a payment plan with my creditors. Shockingly, they only managed to settle one bill, leaving a staggering 12 others unpaid. As a result, my credit was severely damaged, and I feel like they not only stole my money but also betrayed my trust. It's disheartening to know that there are countless individuals out there who fall victim to these deceitful practices every year. When I confronted them about refunding my money, they callously refused. It's clear to me that they are nothing but thieves. I urge someone to take action against them.

Due to my anxiety about not making payments to my creditors, I decided to cancel my account. I was assured that as long as no settlements were made at the time of cancellation, I wouldn't incur any fees. However, shortly after closing my account, I received an email notifying me of a settlement they had made. Despite closing my account, I had already given them a total of $3,500. They only made one settlement payment of $862 and refunded me $772 for closing my account. Unfortunately, they also charged me nearly $2,000 in fees for settling an account after my account had been closed.

When I first joined their program, I was making monthly payments of approximately $526 to them. However, due to the unfortunate circumstance of losing my job, I needed to lower my payments. They were able to reduce my payments to $500.16, which was a slight relief.
However, there were a few issues that arose during my time with GRT. Firstly, they advised me to disregard any communication from my creditors and collections agencies, as they assured me that they would handle everything. Unfortunately, they were unable to settle one of my debts, which ultimately led to me being sued by that particular creditor. This was a major setback and left me feeling frustrated and betrayed.
To make matters worse, the account that they couldn't settle was removed from their program, but my payments to GRT remained the same. This was incredibly confusing to me, as I couldn't understand why my payments for two accounts were still the same as when I had only one account. It seemed like GRT was only interested in helping me as long as they were benefiting from it.
Despite paying over $10,000 to GRT, I still had to take matters into my own hands and settle my other account myself, as I was informed that I was on my own with that particular debt. This was a disappointing and frustrating experience, considering the amount of money I had already invested in their services.

They assured me that I wouldn't have to make payments to the cards for the first six months while they worked on the matter. Instead, I started making monthly payments of $475.26 to them on that day. I continued making these payments until March 22.
In February, there were still two credit cards that they couldn't negotiate with, and these cards continued to charge me interest, causing the balances to increase. When I initially started the program, the Bank of America card had a balance of $11,129.00, and the THD credit card had a balance of $5,694.00. Since 11 months had passed and they couldn't resolve the issue, I had to remove the debt from these two cards, totaling $16,823.00.
When the pandemic hit in March, April, and May, I was only able to pay $150 per month due to the financial impact of COVID-19. Once things started to return to normal, I contacted them and they informed me that the new monthly payments would be $325. I didn't agree with this change and decided to cancel my account with them. They provided me with the necessary information for the cancellation.
When I started the program, the balance on my Capital One credit card was $4,417.00. By the time I closed the account, I owed $2,808.92, which I paid directly to Capital One. The other Capital One card had an initial amount due of $742.00, but when I closed the account, they informed me that it was $445.70, which I also paid directly to Capital One. The only card they made payments for on my behalf was Wayfair, with a balance of $641.00. Another card, SYNCB/LOW, had a balance of $2,736.00, but they did not make any payments towards it.

They advised me not to make any payments on my cards, despite me never having missed a payment before. Our agreement was for me to deposit $450.00 into an escrow account. They successfully settled two out of my five credit card accounts. As for the remaining three, I personally reached a settlement agreement on two of them because I was facing a lawsuit from American Express in my local court. Once I had reached an agreement with American Express, I coordinated with GRT Financial to make payments to Glennon Law Firm LLC from my escrow account. However, after setting up this arrangement with Glennon Law, GRT Financial failed to maintain contact with me. Frustrated by their lack of action on the remaining accounts, I decided to terminate their services and called them on December 9th. During this conversation, a representative informed me that there was $1400.00 in my escrow account and assured me that it would be deposited into my bank account within 7 to 10 business days. However, when I checked my account on January 3rd, the money had not been deposited. I immediately contacted GRT Financial on January 4th, and the representative I spoke to informed me that the money had been sent to Glennon Law on December 14th. After placing me on hold, he returned to the call and stated that the funds had been used to cover fees, and I would not be receiving a refund. I requested to speak with his supervisor, but he abruptly ended the call. Undeterred, I called back and spoke to another representative who confirmed that $1100.00 had indeed been sent to Glennon Law after deducting fees. Finally, on January 6th, I had a conversation with a supervisor who claimed that her colleagues were misinformed and had been reprimanded for providing false information. She asserted that all of my money had been used to cover fees owed to GRT Financial, despite the fact that they had been deducting fees from my escrow account every month. Considering the amount of money I have paid them, which exceeds $15,000.00 since I began using their services, and the fact that they settled only two accounts for approximately $7000.00, I am left wondering where the rest of my money has gone.

I'd like to compliment and thank the litigation team of GRT! I had a situation where one of my clients was taking me to court. The team is comprised of true professionals who also understood their client (me) and took the time to explain everything in detail. I'm sure I taxed their patience but they didn't blink and kept on explaining and giving options till we found something that fit my budget.
