Gucci is a popular brand that I recently decided to check out. I bought a sweater from their website and it cost me a whopping 2,000 dollars. It's a small piece of clothing, but I wanted to give it a shot and see what all the fuss was about.
I did get a text message from the company asking about my purchase, and I replied to let them know that the economy isn't doing well and it's tough to shell out so much money for luxury clothing. While it was affordable enough for my budget, I do expect more from brands when I am forced to purchase items at such steep prices.
I understand that luxury items are expensive, but it's a lot of money to pay when I could be using that money to earn a living or pay rent. I do think Gucci is a good brand that offers high-quality products, but the prices could be more reasonable considering the current economic conditions.
Overall, I had a decent experience with Gucci and the quality of the product was good. However, the high price tag makes it hard for me to justify making another purchase from the brand.

Me and my fam have been reppin' Gucci for ages now, but we recently had a major disappointment with one of their leather goods. And let me tell you, it wasn't because of anything we did - the shoes just fell apart all on their own. How does that even happen? Gucci's leather items are supposed to be top quality and last for years, but now I'm second-guessing everything.

Jus' recently, I ordered a Gucci bag from Gucci's website an' it was supposed to be shipped to Canada pretty quick, in like 'bout 1-2 days for processin' and 2-5 days for delivery, an' I had to pay $40 for "express" shipping. But I was waitin' for almost 4 weeks now an' I STILL haven't got my bag yet! Can ya' believe it? They took 2 weeks an' 2 days just to ship it with no explanation whatsoever why it was delayed. I had to call 'em five times, but only two the representatives promised me a refund, which never actually got processed. But finally, on the third try, they did give me my refund. Those buggers! An' two other representatives said they would email me followin' up on my order but I never heard from 'em again. One representative gave me their number an' told me to call them only as my main rep for my order, but when I called 'em, there was no answer, an' there wasn't even an option to leave a message. How rude! There customer service is like really, really bad.
Now my item has been held up in customs for a week an' when I contacted Gucci 'bout it, they just told me they have their own broker that deals with they packages, but somehow it's still so delayed? Ain't that just the worst? They ain't got no answers at all. I'm so damn frustrated! They even refused to let me cancel my order before it was shipped. An' they just keep givin' me false information an' timelines. So, guys, don't ever buy anything online from Gucci, okay?
Gucci.com Needs Better Shipping Quality Control
I been lookin' for this Gucci handbag like crazy, I'm tellin' ya! I been goin' back 'n forth between the local stores tryna see if they got it in stock, but no luck. So, I finally got frustrated and went on Gucci.com to order it. Lo and behold, they had it in stock and ready to ship! They shipped it out real quick-like, and I had it in my hands in just 4 days, comin' straight from their warehouse in Seacaucus, NJ.
Now, I gotta say, I was feelin' pretty good 'bout finally gettin' my hands on this piece, but when I got the box, I was not so happy. The box was a mess, man. The sides were NOT taped down, so there were huge gaps where water coulda gotten in and ruined my precious new bag! And not only that, but one side was half-way open like someone had pulled at it to see what was inside. I mean, come on Gucci, what's up with that? I paid good money for this luxury item, and I don't expect it to arrive in a half-open box that ain't even sealed properly.
So, yeah, I'm happy I got my bag, but I think Gucci needs to step up their game when it comes to shipping quality control. I might order from 'em again if I'm in a pinch and need somethin' quick, but if I got time to spare, I might just skip out and go to the store. I really hope Gucci management takes note of this review and makes some changes for the better.
Gucci's Kid Leather Lining Issues: A Customer's Disappointment and Displeasure
I remember buying my all leather shoulder handbag from Gucci's store in Phipps Plaza, Atlanta in the mid 1990s. It has always been stored in the original protective bag along with my other beloved designer handbags in my closet. However, a few years ago, when I went to use it, I felt something strange when I placed my hand inside, and to my surprise, a black substance stuck to my hand. I was worried and immediately contacted Gucci in NYC to explain the issue.
After some time passed, I called them again to inquire about the status of my handbag and to my dismay, they told me that the lining of the bag was made of kid leather that disintegrated over time. I wasn't convinced as my Gorsuch Boxing Glove style ski gloves were also made of kid leather but used for over 20 years with no such issues and still good to go. I expressed my concerns and objections to Gucci's customer service about their use of inferior material and the fee of over $300.00 which they demanded to fix the lining.
I was insulted and disappointed with their response, and quite frankly, it made me question the integrity of the Brand-Gucci. I expected more from a brand I paid well over $500.00 at the time of purchase. None of my other designer handbags encountered a similar issue, and it was unacceptable to me for Gucci to use such inferior materials in their products.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and sought the opinion of a leather goods repair shop in Malibu, California. I showed them the handbag in question, a black leather Gucci designer signature bag, and they gave me a letter stating that the bag had a synthetic lining that had disintegrated, degrading the quality of the bag.
In my opinion, shame on Gucci for using such inferior materials and double shame on them for not fixing it when called out. It is disappointing and unacceptable for them to demand payment to fix something they did wrong. I believe it's not worth buying a product made with a pleather lining.
Review: My Gucci Experience - The Good, The Bad, and The Amanda

So, I been eyeing this small Marmont flap bag for the past year, and my boo thang decided to hook me up for my eldest son's bday (he 10 now, ya heard?). So, I was about to make my way to the store to finally cop my bag, when I peeped the Gucci website and saw they were offering a free cotton shopping bag with any purchase (excluding ties). I was all about that! Perfect for the beach, you know? So, I caved and bought the bag online even though I could've just gone to the store. That cotton bag was too good to pass up.
So, I made the purchase on 04/05/2021 (that's April 5th for y'all who ain't hip with the lingo), and it was delivered to me on 04/09/2021. But let me just say, when I opened that box, I was heated, y'all. Like, real talk. There was no protective air bags (even Amazon got those, come on now), and WHERE MY COTTON BAG AT?! That's like the whole reason I ordered online in the first place. And the bag itself? Bruh, it came in a sad little magnetic green box (that I recognized from a belt I copped from Gucci), shoved into a too-small box, and wrapped in a white "dust bag". I'm pretty sure this was a returned bag they just threw together haphazardly. And it cost me $2400?! I was so heartbroken, y'all feel me? I had to call up Gucci customer service (shoutout to Cindy) and explain the whole situation. She understood my frustration and assured me they would fix the issue.
But honestly, I just couldn't wait. I needed this bag to be right, ya know? So, I packed up me and my kids (10 and 2 years old), brought the shipping box with me, and hit up the Costa Mesa Gucci store. I met this amazing associate named Amanda, who listened to me and took care of everything. She opened up a sealed bag and pulled out my bag, showed me it was all good and had full protection, and even packed it up nicely for me in a big box with new packaging. Shoutout to Amanda for saving the day!
Now, I'm still waiting on the cotton bag from the online store, but I'm way less upset now that I've dealt with Amanda and the rest of the store staff. Update 04.15 - they got my cotton bag and new box to me super quick. Shoutout to the whole Gucci team for making things right. Overall, it's all perfect now!
