very bad work
After entering into an agreement with Halo Restoration and Construction in Canton, Ga. in October 2017 that involved an insurance claim and extra work totaling over $70, 000.00 we were left with as of June 2018 very sloppy and unfinished work that was not up to County codes. We had to hire an attorney as well as another contractor to fix all of the problems.
False Information and Harassment
Jeremiah Edelen who claims to be a public adjuster for Halo construction, has been giving me false information as well as harassing me by phone as well as text messages. I had asked for no contact from him or his company after he stated that he could "push an insurance check through" when the check was not made out to me, but was made out to the Estate Of. When I contacted my bank as well as State Farm they informed me that I would need to open an estate account in order to write a check to pay for the roof repair. I felt uncomfortable with moving forward with Halo, Tim Greene and Jeremiah Edelen. A few days later I received a text from their sales man stating "If I did not put my roof on in a few days, I would not get my depreciation check from State Farm. I contacted State Farm again and was told that was untrue. I emailed Tim Greene explaining to him I wanted no further contact from him or anyone from Halo. Within 15 minutes I had 3 phone calls and 2 voicemails from Jeremiah. The messages state that I am committing insurance fraud and that he will be filing a lawsuit against me for defamation. He also goes on about he is going to report me to my mortgage company about not fixing my roof and pocketing the money. I emailed him again explaining that I had called the police and would be filing a harassment complaint, which I did. The officer from Lumpkin County had a phone conversation with Jeremiah telling him not to contact me again in any form. I had no contract with Halo and I had decided after the misinformation about the check, to move forward with a different Roofing Company.
After entering into an agreement with Halo Restoration & Construction in October, 2017 that involved an Insurance claim and extra work totaling over 70, 000 and still have a house that is uninhabitable as of June 2018. Their own contract states that Halo will obtain all building permits if required and we had structural damage after a tree hit our house which required a County permit yet none was applied for. We had to hire an attorney as well as another contractor to fix all of the problems and unfinished work they left us with. BUYER BEWARE!
