On Wednesday 02.08.2023 I, together with my 9 year old daughter and my parents travelled from Manchester Terminal 3 to Heathrow.
This was the start of our journey as we were to fly to Kuala Lumpur then Australia.
It was here that during the transfer of our 4 cases, one of them was left at Heathrow.
I am referring to:
Flight MH0003
Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur
Boarding at 10.00
Departure Gate 6
We didn't receive our case until a week after our arrival in Australia. My mum's medication was in this luggage and so literally affected her health. We had to find a pharmacy and pay for another set of prescriptions because after 3 days of no tablets she was deteriorating. We allowed it to get to 3 days, because each day we were told that it will be here tomorrow.
File Reference Number: MELMH38376
This was upsetting and stressful as she slowly became unwell. She also had no change of clothes for a week.
The airline was Malaysia airlines but this clearly is the staff at Heathrow airport whose job it is to load and unload the luggage from aircraft to aircraft.
I don't usually complain as accidents can and do happen, but due of the stress caused to my elderly parents and the fact that it quite literally affected my mum's health taking so long to arrive, has left me with no other option than to inform you of this.
Desired outcome: Staff training to avoid this happening to anyone else.Compensation for distress caused to parents and the loss of their first week of holiday.
