Dear Sirs,
I am writing to formally express my concerns and disappointment regarding the Health Information Management Program. This is a program offered by your university, but is not academically credible for the entire course, which turns into fraud.
My daughter Aquilla D. TrIggs is enrolled in the above-named program. After 30-40,000 of education debt, the academic advisor at the Herzing University Campus stated that there were no contracts with ay medical institution for the internship program, so that has my daughter at a standstill. It was hurtful and exhausting to see my daughter calling several hospitals to receive rejection.
My question to you is why Herzing University is offering programs and they are not able to complete the academics to graduate and take the state boards for their registered Health Information Administration (RHIA)? Herzing University is accredited, and these types of delinquencies should not be tolerated by the public or authorities. I cannot imagine the number of students that encounter these difficulties. If a university offers a professional program, it should have the complete program in place. The students that are inspiring to join the medical professional community should be given as many tools as possible that are needed, before they leave the institution. I am sure that it is in one person’s job description to contract internship institutions for various programs.
I personally have a master’s in health administration, and I am gainfully employed in my field. I suggested the Health Information Program to my daughter, because I see how important it is to the continuity of administrative health care.
I expect that you will contact my daughter at [protected] in the immediate future, if not I will be seeking assistance from the media and the accreditation agencies.
My daughter is young and has a lot of talent to contribute to the health care industry. I will not sit back and let her must endure corporate greed via educational institutions.
Please respond in writing to me.
V/R Arnetta T. Bloomer, MHA
