Vacation package
This program is actually a scam. My husband and I were recently in Chicago at the Palmerton Hotel. On our way out a Hilton employee asked us if we were Hilton Honors members. I said yes. He then went on and told us about a great opportunity to stay in one of their properties during our upcoming visit to New York. WE provided him the dates, May 9-12, 2022. WE asked, are you sure there will be availability during those dates. He stated oh, we have so many properties in New York, that it won't be a problem. To that we said great and purchased a package and had my father in law purchase one also. He is 89 years old. Fast forward to when we returned home and tried to book one of these packages Surprise, there are no availabilities for those dates. Just one more scam. WE are taking my 89 year old father in law for a getaway, as he is the primary care giver for my mother in law who is 87. He wanted to consider purchasing a package for his great grandchildren. Well, the scam has us out of $900 and no ability to go on the dates we clearly communicated with the Hilton employee.
Desired outcome: Either provide hotel accommodations for the dates requested or refund the money.
Timeshare
First off I just got out of the HGVC Timeshare. Inowed 67 thousand dollars. They tell you anything to get you to buy. Told us they will take it back anytime. You can go anywhere in the world's. Fees don't go up... you name it. I finally got fed up and hired an awesome firm with an attorney in nashville called Timeshare Debt Release. Saved us from going bankrupt
Las Vegas Scam
I got caught up in the Las Vegas Hilton scam. I paid nearly $200.00 and agreed to do their 4 hour presentation. I needed to cancel 10 days in advance because of a family sickness. Not only did I not get my $200.00 back, but I got charged an ADDITIONAL $120.00 for missing the propaganda pitch presentation. I now for a fact that these people aren't sold out durring COVID. There is zero reason to screw me over like this, except that they CAN, and they WILL at every opportunity. Bear that in mind if you are thinking of doing business with Hilton "Grand" Vacations.
Desired outcome: I want my money back
Time share or there of what is perceived to be a time share
I purchased a time share to thought it was at the time of the sale but it appears it is not always available and the fees just keep getting more expensive every year. I tried to sell product back but we were not given the proper resale value, it was nothing. Very disappointed do not recommend anyone purchase this product. This product was purchased July of...

I listened while my husband was given a bunch of information about what a deal this would be. While he was on speaker phone I checked hotel sites available and agreed if in fact Home 2 suites was a choice. Never at any time we're we told we'd have to listen to a sales gallery! Okay we can manage that but now we don't seem to get a confirmation for our dates at Home 2 Suites even though as of today (picture taken) they offer this date to at least Travelocity. This is a SCAM! If this is not resolved soon we'll get with credit card
company to get our money back since you've not honored your sale.
Desired outcome: We want a confirmation of room at Home 2 Suites for 4/9 through 4/12/22
Selling Vacation packages promising for dates that are not available
I was sold a vacation package saying that the dates are available and was asked to make a deposit. I asked them for the dates I was looking for. They said it was available and took the deposit and gave me a confirmation number and another phone number to make a reservation. When I call the other phone number to make the reservation, the person over there says dates are not available and I should choose a different date for my vacation. How fair is this and how can they make i) false promises ii) cheat people by taking deposit which is non-refundable iii) ask people to change their vacation plans and rob people of their hard earned vacation time and money.
This is such a scam, such companies should not be entertained. They are playing and looting from people.
orlando property
requested specific time to visit my prepaid 3 day stay in orlando. when confirmation returned the date was 1 mo later, which i couldnt make...now they want a cancel fee...not disclosed when i requested a date.
Las Vegas 4 days 3 nights package
On August 20, 2021 I was cold called by a Hilton Grand Vacations representative. Midway through our colorful conversation, she playingly made a seriously anti-Semitic joke which was grossly inappropriate. I felt pressured to make a purchase and I actually ended up doing so about 40 minutes into the call. The same evening I realized this type of unprofessional behavior shouldn't be rewarded with commission so I contacted them the following day. I have been waiting for a supervisor to get back to me. There seems to be no way to contact Hilton directly. I have contacted their call center twice since then. I am requesting a full cancellation and refund of my purchase. I would also like a phone call from a senior level manager.
Desired outcome: Cancellation, refund, and a phone call from a senior level manager.
Due to COVID concerns we cannot use the points that expire this year.
The extensive COVID 19 problem has made it impossible to us the points that are expiring this year. There should be an exception to permit all points be rolled over to next year without a charge including points rolled over from last year. This medical crisis is worldwide unprecedented.
Desired outcome: Rollover all my points to next year without a fee.
Timeshare
They sold me lies. Haven't been able to use my timeshare at all. Not even once. Availability is nonexistent even during the designated weeks. If you want to use RCI, get ready to pay fees. If you manage to find availability at a resort, get ready to pay multiple resort fees. And the maintenance fees only increase. You can't sell the timeshare because the value is worthless and they want a minimum of $500 commission. This is why there are people selling their timeshares for $1 on eBay. You can't even give it away!
This is by far the best legal scam anyone has ever contrived.
It is indeed a gigantic time which is actually supported by certain localities having huge tax advantages in the process. What you have purchased will quickly be worthless and you will not be able to get rid of it ! Your annual maintenance fee will indeed go astronomical while the units are increasingly aged and simply disgusting with minimum maintenance and hardly any real cleaning. We have many pictures to illustrate our point all recently collected at King’s Land in Hawaii. Being duped is bad enough; having to spent 2 weeks in a dirty unit is an other ! Run away from Hilton and from HGVC as fast as you possibly can!
extra fees at 57th st. when you check out
My father was scammed into buying a Hilton Grand Vacation timeshare at 57th st. in NYC. He and my mother were in their 80's. My father is now 95 and has maybe used the room as little as 5 nights since he bought in. The annual charges are outrageous.
We wanted to book a night next week and were told it would cost an additional $89 to clean the room at checkout! We are fuming and want out without losing everything that has been 'invested'. Can you help
Desired outcome: get 'short stay' checkout fee waived or a buyout that gets him his money back. I am sure they continue to sell these as if they have value.
Gifting bait n switch
Hi I purchased a 5/4 package for Las Vegas and it was cancelled due to Covid19. I have been receiving emails with extra perks for me to travel by a certain timeframe. I was told I would be getting the following - 1. 25,000 point 2. $100.00 guest experience Dollars and Royal Caribbean Certificate. I called and spoke with Leah to get a different tour time because they scheduled me on the last night of the stay. Me and her talked and I expressed how happy I was about the gifting and the great deal it was. Se then told me that I was only getting the points and the $! 00.00 guest dollars. I told her I have proof and she asked me to email it to her. She seen it and then placed me on hold for a while. She was trying to get me to take advantage of something to replace the Royal Cert. The things she offered didn't make sense. I asked her to not change the package and to leave it the same as is and I would like to get a call from someone about it this! She apologized and stated that she was going to give me extra dollars and 10, 000 more points as a courtesy. I advised her that at no point am I taking this in lieu of that Royal Cert. I asked was the call being recorded and I made that statement plenty of times to ensure I was being heard that I didn't to change my gifting! I am not happy about this at all! She told me that it was most likely and error! I stated to her that as a consumer, we are the ones that are right in this case, especially when we have proof. Its the as going to the grocery store and seeing an item marked down and it shouldn't, they give you the lower pricing! SO after over 30 minutes with Leah Curry, we ended the call. I called back and spoke with Sandy who was amazing! She advised that a manager would be calling me after she escalated the call after she got the email I sent to her as well showing the gifting. She was stunned when she seen it. We both noticed that the previous rep had gone in a changed to gifting form the original gifting. I told her that's not right! Sandy told me "The customer is always Right!" And from that statement its admitting fault. I was looking forward to learning about our Timeshare because me and my children travel so much with Hilton. If I'm going to be treated like this then why on earth would I want to but into your TimeShare product. Listen, I am asking you to make things right and honor the gifting that I was promised! I can provide full documentation of what was sent to me as but Leah and Sandy have copies of the gifting via their Hilton grand Vacation emails. I am asking that someone please call me in reference to this matter at hand! I am scheduled to take advantage of this package and tour in 2 weeks. Please listen to both calls that I made on 09-11-2020 with Leah and Sandy! I have the emails saved! I also have the gifting that was there before Leah went in and changed it. And that wasn't the right thing to do at all! Please contact me! I feel like I have been part of the old "Bait N Switch". I am prepared to have my attorney look into this matter for possible violations. However, I rather allow HGV the opportunity to make this right and provide the gifting that I was supposed to get. 1-25, 000 Hilton Honor points 2.$100.00 guest experience Dollars. 3. Royal Caribbean Certificate. Having a potential buyer going into a sales presentation upset, isn't the right thing to do. Its not fair to the sales rep nor myself! Thank you in advance! I can be reached at anytime. I wrote this to them and yet I haven't heard back from them! My confirmation number is [protected]
Refund not issued timely
On 9/4/2019, "Natasha" was to have issued a full refund for my Hilton Grand Vacations package (she eventually offered the full refund after I dealt w/ MANY issues related to misrepresentation, lack of information, etc and was clear that I'd never use Hilton or any of its brands again). This refund was to be issued w/ in 7 - 10 days of 9/4/2019. As of today, 9/28/2019, that refund is still not credited to my account. When I called customer service to address the issue, I was informed that the refund "was never processed." In asking why it was never processed, I was quickly moved along in the conversation ("I wish I knew, but I've issued it right now on the phone w/ you so it is taken care of") and assured, yet again, that I'd now see the refund in 3 - 5 days.
From the start of this matter in May, 2019, my interactions w/ Hilton have been less than acceptable. Of course the original person was very engaging, etc to get the "sale, " but the experience has been nothing less than a scam since then.
Deeply disappointed in the Hilton name and experience. I guess since I'm not a frequent traveler, my lack of business going forward will be of little concern to your business.
Timeshare scam
Member since 2002, I can also testify that they got me! HGVC is a scam of immense proportions, but it will be ‘legal' for as long as it brings generous taxation revenues to the municipalities involved. We were also lied to, mislead and taken advantage of.
The best part is that Hilton can buy back our ‘dream timeshare' for about 1/2 of what we paid for and their RE fee will be 40% of the selling price. I have seen people going to jail for less than that, but Hilton gets away with it. Please take a moment to read ‘Hilton / HGVS scam' on the internet. The stories are sad, and many innocent average income people have been scammed with essentially no easy out and no way to recoup their hard earned money!
My husband and I bought into the Hilton Club in mid-town Manhattan in 2003. We lived an hour away, and made wonderful use of this timeshare. My husband passed away in 2013, but I continued to use my time sparingly, and found I was rolling over points. The contract would have ended in 2032. However in 2018, I bought a deed under pressure, for this property thinking it would be lovely for my sons to continue enjoying the City.
The club closed March 20, 2020, and has no plans to reopen. How can I own a deed on a property that doesn't exist? An offer to use two nearby properties without use of their lounges has been offered. This is not what I had purchased. It will hardly suffice. I'm deciding whether to hire an attorney who specializes in timeshare scams at this time. Cannot get through to the Hilton legal department. Have attempted to do so many times. Would join a class action suit, if there are enough of us who feel the illegality of their transactions. Anyone out there willing to take on this case?
We have a very similar issue. It is also impossible to provide feedback to HGVC in regards to to disgusting condition of their units (ex: King’s Land, Hawaii). In Covid times it is worrisome to be offered dirty accommodations! I was embarrassed to be HGVC owner !
annual owners fees
HGVC is a scam. Our Annual owners fees have nearly quadruple, now approaching USD 2, 000 per annum. We were duped and mislead originally by a cool salesman wearing Hawaiian shirt and a gold Rolex. We were lied to, including the fact that with our purchase would come offers and special rates for sir travel (never offered / does not exist).
The Owners fees are out of control, totally unjustified. Other gold Rolex wearing representatives have told us ‘but you decided to buy in Hawaii, known to be expensive !'.
Yet another gold Rolex wearing salesman told us that getting out of our ownership is an option, but we will be lucky to be even our original investment after 17 years! Bad, very bad...
billing/refund
December 22 2018. I purchased a timeshare preview vacation. Trip cost $118 for 4 days 3 nights. I paid and extra $125 for a lock on room. Got down to stay and they told me I did not pay for add on lock room. I paid extra for holiday fee. I stay was 1 King bed and a pullout bed. Showed my receipt and email confirmations but they said "oh we see but we don't have any other rooms available."
exorbitant maintenance and user fees increase annually! no increased in value.
HGVC is a scam. Maintenance fees have gone from under $600 to well over $1200. Fees for just booking have skyrocketed as well. You can get the same thing on any travel website cheaper and easier. Don't Do It!
We bought the timeshare in November of 2000. They said we could sell it back to HGVC when we no longer wanted it. LIE. The maintenance fees and the fees to book your timeshare are much more expensive than if you call the Hilton property and ask for rooms without being a Hilton Grand Vacations Member. If you don't use your annual points you paid for in January, you must use them by the end of the year, or pay over a hundred dollars to save them for one more year. Which you must use during that year. This doesn't include the almost $100. you have to pay to book your OWN timeshare. My maintenance fees this year were fo over $1200. plus $100. to book the reservation. And another $100. if I want to put the reservation in one of my family members name so they can check in under their own name.
Do your research. There are hundreds of honest reviews on the web about their scam. Don't fall for it. Save yourself the money and the heartaches.
fee
I made a reservation at a Hilton Hotel and was transferred unwittingly to an operator at Hilton Grand Vacations. Before I knew it I had been conned into paying $349 down (50%) on a HGV trip to Hawaii. A few weeks later I discovered I could not go but they refused to pay my money back. Here is a company that has provided 0 service, 0 goods, and never told me that the fee was non-refundable. I will fight this till I get it back and everyone on social media will know about it--I have over 5, 000 followers on Twitter. I will complain to BBB, and I will cancel my Hilton Honors account that I have had for 20+ years, and never stay at another Hilton. What a bunch of crooks. Of course, with Paris Hilton being their slutty spokesperson what do you expect?
monthly loan payments
HGVC is historically applying payments 1-7 days after checks have been cashed according to my banking institution. In many cases they apply a $15 late fee even though bank records show payment was received before the grace period end date. It is October 2018 and Bank records show Payments that have my account paid through end of December. Request to review payment history have failed. HGVC has also stated they have no record of an additional $500 maintenance fee payment made on 2/8/2018. Monthly payments made have been applied to principle and not to monthly loan payment and then they charge late fees. They refuse to send me statements or coupon books with out assessing additional very high process and handling fees as well as raising my interest rate more than 2%.
HGVC, Loan Dept:
I have two loans (two contract numbers) as follows:

Both have automatic deductions to my checking account.dia
Please stop the automatic deductions immediately.

Many thanks,

Stay in Hotel
This was by far the worst experience I have had in staying at any hotel and yes we travel quite a bit! And while having a time-share, due to (as usual) no availability we PAID in cash as when paying in cash, ALL and ANY hotel rooms in Hilton Grand Vacations are available! My Details: HGVC OWNER #: [protected] Where do I begin? Let me break everything down: 1. The Room: The showers had hot water coming according to its mood when it felt like it. The TV had the worst reception - NO HD in today's world! The kitchen smelt like someone had cooked plastic in it a few minutes back! In the dodgy presentation, we were shown the rooms we got conned into in this same very hotel! The room we were given was NOTHING compared to what was shown which leads me to believe this Hilton timeshare is a complete SHAM! 2. On the day of the check-out (10/25/15), I called at 10:30am as I completely overlooked that check-out time is 10am and was rudely told to EXIT the HOTEL immediately! My brother has been in the hotel industry for 17 years and has NEVER HEARD of a check-out time this early nor a staff member asking you to 'exit the hotel immediately' and I had only called to request an extension for an hour as my uncle needed to get ready and we woke up late! I have never seen the staff this rude! I then went downstairs in my pajamas as I had my 70 year old uncle with me and I have never ever encountered such RUDE staff! Another guest standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME was told, sure you can check out any time you like. It honestly lead me to believe that the hotel staff was simply being racist towards my color or I do not know what they had against us! 3. I went to the place where we had taken our presentation a few years back as it was the same hotel and asked (in fact, I literally begged) to help me get off this sham of a timeshare I was conned into getting, only to be told that sorry 'we do not deal with anything here and call the corporate office' which of course no one responds to as I have been trying for a year, but the SWEET sales lady making a fool out of some old folks there had the audacity to offer me to BUY MORE POINTS! 4. For the last 4-5 years, every time we want to book a vacation using our points, we NEVER EVER find any availability (even 5-6 months in advance) for whenever WE want to go! It always seems that OUR vacation is DECIDED on Hilton's discretion! In the last 3-4 years, we have basically paid $150/month plus $1000 every year in 'maintenance' fee and have stayed 4 days in Las Vegas, NV in a one bedroom junior suite. It DOES NOT ADD UP! I can stay at the Bellagio or Wynn in Las Vegas, NV for much cheaper and for much longer plus be respected and not get disrespected and made to feel so low! Is there NO WAY to get out of this? I would honestly advise anyone to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away from this scam! I honestly regret the day I signed up for this crap!
