I was told to call ahead 30 mins to avoid waiting in line in customer pick up. There were multiple customers that arrived afterwards that received their items before me. What is the point of the customer service line to take precautionary measures in order to avoid waiting 45 mins in line. Not all the slots were even full. Spending thousands of dollars at this establishment should warrant excellent customer service that was promised and yet was unsatisfactory and disappointing.

I bought two sofa couch and they delivered them to me for free, it's really worth with the low prices and also those couches has 5 years warranty too.

I purchased a Lazyboy lift recliner Jan. XX XXXX along with 5 year extended warranty. The chair slopes to one side and does not sit level. In March Homemakers sent service out to look at it in and he agreed something is wrong. He said someone would contact us within 2 days. Never heard anything so today Apr. 9 wife called service Dept. and was told the leaning to one side is normal and even the floor model did. Before purchase the floor model I saw looked nothing like this. I've never seen a recliner look like this one. 1100 dollars for a chair and you slide to one side when sitting in it. Very disappointed I guess I'm stuck with a faulty chair. Expected better of Homemakers.

Bought LTR Select Plus Protection2 at the urging/advice of salesperson.

2.6.20 Phone call to Guardsmen, transferred between 3 different departments to even be able to file a claim. Chose to do the online claim. FORM forces a person to pick a date as if damage is a stain and something spilled. Nothing spilled. Turned in all of the required paperwork.

2.10.20 Received denial due to number of days between date and 30 days of calling. Called Guardsmen and again explained it was not a certain date, the frame is bending away from the center of couch and form did not allow this information. They said will not accept another date, or another claim on this piece of furniture, denied any supervisor, or any place to appeal decision.

2.10.20 1st Phone Call to Homemakers. The representative answered. Explained the denial I got and the rude man I talked to from Guardsman. She told me Guardsman are 'sticklers' for dates...but don't tell consumers that. I asked her why Homemakers would choose to do business with a company they KNOW is not going to pay claims? No answer. She said she has a contact at Guardsmen she would contact.

2.14.20 Called and asked for the Homemakers representative as I have not heard a word, said she doesn't come in until 12:30 and they don't have access to her email, but they would have her call me.

2.24.20 Called again as never heard a word, Joni answered. The representative is not in so Joni looked up account by phone number. Said denied claim, and if wanted to appeal call Guardsmen and gave me a number. Asked Joni why the representative wouldn't have given that to me, she said she just got the number. I tried to call and waited on hold 1 and a half hour before hanging up.

2.27.20 Called again, got Joni again told her waited on hold 1 and a half hours and I need someone to take care of this. Not fair, paid good money for this in cash and bunch of junk. Asked for supervisor, told Shawna is only one and she is out of the office until Wednesday and she may or may not get back to me. Asked for a number to call her, said there was not one. The representative said she would call Shawna, but then never did. Then I ended up with a new contact.

The new contact called me back, had no history at all of all of the issues and calls and multiple hours I have wasted. He told me because I put 1/1 on web claim form it wasn't within the 30 days of making claim on 2/6. Told him already knew that, but point is took me 3 phone calls to Guardsmen on 2/6 and discussed exact issue of it being the frame, nothing specific happened but noticed it night before. He said he would get ahold of Guardsmen and would call me back. NEVER HEARD BACK AGAIN.

2/28 Called back again, got the new contact and he said it would be couple more days. NOTHING

3/13 Called again and got Kea this time, she told me we had 4 accounts, finally got into account using that. Emailed the contact at Guardsmen. Told her had already been 2 weeks.

THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. WE PAID CASH AND SALESMAN ASSURED US AT TIME OF PURCHASE THAT EXTENDED WARRANTY PAID THIS TYPE OF CLAIM. WE WILL OF COURSE NOT EVER TRUST HOMEMAKERS AGAIN, AND WILL ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO STAY AWAY AS APPARENTLY YOU DO NOT STAND BY YOUR WORD OR NAME. It should not take this many phone calls from a customer to get something that was due to them to begin with. We expect full reimbursement of all three warranties we bought, and quite frankly we should get a new couch also.

On 3/13 the contact received my email and said FIRST time had heard any of above. Would take care of us for sure. Never heard another word from her, have called and left many messages and emails. NOTHING

Another horrible customer service experience at Homemakers. After being a long time customer I have bought my last piece of furniture from here. Talked with customer service, on duty manager and store manager the following day. Nothing changed except another I'm sorry.

I wouldn't buy furniture here again if it was free the worst customer service anywhere ever. Ordered furniture on January 2 told 3 to 4 weeks max. April 24th still no furniture. No discount offered was told if your not happy we can refund your money, buyer beware wish I had looked at reviews before I bought.

Homemakers Furniture I recently ordered a patio set from this company

I recently ordered a patio set from this company. They had the best price for the set and promised the fastest delivery time. It was delivered as expected however there was damage to the coffee set. I called and got an extremely friendly associate named Allysa who was extremely competent, knowledgeable and efficient. She took care of my issue in no time and I couldn't be happier. These days it is so hard to find great customer service representatives and this company exceeded all of my expectations. Thank you Homemakers and thank you Allysa!

Homemakers Furniture I purchased a couch from them along with Guardsman protection for 5 years

I purchased a couch from them along with Guardsman protection for 5 years. After 3 years I needed to file a claim on two cushions. One in which the seam is coming apart. I have been made the middle man between Guardsman and Homemakers. Even though I had to send pictures of issues with cushions and of the warranty I purchased along with a diagram showing where exactly the issues are they still don't seem to know what's going on. I am currently on hold with them for third time today! I work 12 hour shifts and then get to spend my days off trying to explain everything all over again. I have a claim number if someone from Homemakers would actually like to do what is expected.

Homemakers Furniture We bought 2 new recliners

We bought 2 new recliners. We received on and the second was on back order till august. Received an email early June stating second chair had arrived. We picked up the chair. When picking up we noticed the chair was not in original box and asked the sales person why. Was told the box it was shipped in was destroyed. We brought chair home and realized it was either a used return or the floor model. We called and after sending pictures was told: this is not homemakers standard. They will order us another chair, really, this was not my new chair to begin with. I feel they tried to pull a fast one us. Unfortunately they never even gave an apology. We have done a ton of business with them but never again and we will advise other of their very poor customer service and the way they tried to pull the wool over our eyes. Was told they would pickup their used chair and we could use it till ours came. Well I got a bill, for their used chair! Called and the lady on the phone, very rude lady said: well you have to pay for what your sitting on or return it. . Very frustrating dealing with this company.

Homemakers Furniture Refund

I purchased a recliner that was on backorder. I was told it would be coming in much sooner than it actually was going to so I decided to cancel the order. That was over two weeks ago and my credit card has still not been credited. I was told they are about three weeks behind on bookkeeping because of a software upgrade.

This should be something that should be completed much sooner than this. I was never in possession of any merchandise but meanwhile I am accruing interest on my credit card purchase while waiting for them to get to my refund. I am very disappointed in the response to this. A customer in good standing should receive their credit immediately. I understand waiting on the banking time but not waiting weeks for a bookkeeper to get to my cancelled order to issue a refund.

Desired outcome: My credit care needs to be credited immediately.
