My daughter, purchased a dress from the store in October 2024. The dress arrived with a faulty back strap which she had to have repaired before even wearing the dress. On first wear the dress strap snapped off and she returned it in the beginning of November for a repair, at their request.
However, despite waiting for two months, the repair has still not been carried out, and she had not received any satisfactory update so chased the whereabouts of her dress last week.
She now has been offered a gift card in lieu of a refund, but under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, she is entitled to a refund since the item has not been repaired or replaced in a reasonable timeframe. A gift card is not an appropriate resolution for this matter, as she is within her legal rights to request a full refund. The dress she purchased was not fit for purpose.
I kindly request a refund of £169, which is the amount she originally paid for the dress.
Claimed loss: £169
Desired outcome: Refund of £169
