Soft Surroundings So far so good

I am new to this chain, So far I ha nothing but excellent experience, from great customer service to amazing quality of products. Its so relaxing and fun to shop at their stores and the associates have been so helpful and knowledgeable. Recently the company added Free Shipping to a store near by you, which really helps. Carry on the excellent work.

Soft Surroundings Just arrived. love it

Ordered a denim kimono from the catalogue last week... it just arrived... its prettier
Than pictured in the catalogue... their picture never did it justice. They should have shown the back... very pretty... The telephone communication to order was very pleasant... to the point and very informative. A Soft Surrounding Store is opening 2 miles from me... prayers answered... beautiful merchandise...

Soft Surroundings Ok so I'm 60 and I'm not rail thin

Ok so I'm 60 and I'm not rail thin. But that doesn't mean I have to dress like some "fat old lady." I'm old not frumpy. Softsurroundings had very stylish clothes, that are well made. They have options from petite to misses to women's plus size. And you don't even have to pay extra for an XL or a 1X. They finally located a store in North Texas but it's just so easy to order online. And their online outlet has great prices too.

Soft Surroundings Just what I've been Looking for!

I find the quality to be excellent! Items that I chose are all or part cotton, which is a requirement for me. I've received two orders so far, with two on the way. Sizing was fine and the jeans are stretchy and very soft! I'm very happy with every aspect of my shopping experience, which was through the outlet website. In fact, one item was out of stock- they notified me immediately, corrected my bill and gave me a 10 dollar credit! I should also mention that the clothing is BEAUTIFUL

I ordered a robe from Soft Surroundings for my mother on Dec 5. I was assured the robe was in stock and would be delivered to a store near her home in California. before Christmas. Since she is elderly, I planned to pick up the robe at the store and bring it to her home on Christmas Day during my brief, 3 day trip to CA. Now I have received an email saying the robe is not in stock and will not be delivered until after Christmas (and I will no longer be in town to pick it up and bring it to her). The whole surprise is ruined and I will not have a gift for my elderly mother on what could be my last Christmas with her. I will never buy from this store again and BUYER BEWARE. When I contacted the store about this they could only make excuses and say they were “sorry” but made no effort to make it right, and did not offer any kind of refund, discount or expedited shipping. Just said it was not in stock and I was out of luck. NEVER AGAIN.

What they sell and what they stock are two different things. And if you return something via the post, good luck getting any type of credit. I've received those paper credit receipts, tried to order something using them, and they didn't work. Threw them away. It happened again. This time I called. I got a very nice sale rep from the Green Valley store in Henderson, NV. She told me to always call because it happens a lot. I ordered reed diffusers. First they were going to ship on Jan 11. Then I get another email saying it won't be until Jan 25. If you go to their site and see the Nest Reed Diffusers, there is nothing that says that they are on back order ? I have no problems when I shop at a store. The people are always very nice. But since I'm not near a store as much, I order online. Well after I'm done with this gift card, I'm just done. There are so many other boutique type stores online, that's where my money will go . All my husband was trying to do, was to make me happy with a Soft Surroundings gift card. Now he sees how upset I get trying to use the card. Upper Management, get it together. It's not fair to your sale reps having people getting angry with them when things are out of their hands.

Soft Surrounds offered me a 25% discount on my 1st order, I clicked the button to shop with the discount, when I checked out I didn't see where the discount was applied and the charge went through before I could do anything. I tried to call in to check on my discount but it was a Sunday and I had to wait until Monday. On Monday I called in and they told me I couldn't get the discount because my items already went to the warehouse, when I complained about that, they came back and told me my discount code had expired. I cancelled my order but have yet to see a credit on my credit card and have had to go to my credit company and dispute the charge. Something is fishy here...

I would rate this company a zero if I could. I bought an inferior quality blouse for $82 and was charged $18 for returning it. They charge for shipping it to you snd returning. What an awful company. Go elsewhere to shop

My two tunic tops are fabulous! The size is perfect Im 54 and weigh 135lbs medium size is a perfect fit. Also, the packaging is impeccable very impressive! Im 100% happy with my purchase and delivery. Thank you soft surroundings!?

Received a gift card for 250. 3 years ago. Everything I've ordered is on backordered and the dates just keep getting pushed further out. I finally cancelled because I didn't want a summer dress in the winter and the don't credit my gift card they send a "gift certificate" in some odd amounts. Their merchandise has gone way downhill but they still charge high prices. You have to call to find out anything about your purchase ...past or present. They still owe me money but after 5 phone calls and numerous emails I'm done. Hat a waste of time and money! How can they even stay in business?

My last 2 experiences with this company have been aweful. Getting a refund is extremely difficult. I have had to call on both occasions when no refund had been issued. My most recent experience is a call where KT said they did not have an order at all by me. I provided the tracking# on the merchandise that I returned to them on 1/17 at 4:31 AM..than she said.."Oh...I will put a rush on that return. I never heard anything. I called again and spoke to Kristin and she said they did not receive it back until 1/27 (which clearly the tracking said it was 10 days previous). I did finally receive an email on 2/3 (but they put the 2 items I returned on 2 separate order numbers), and they said they were refunding one of the dresses that I ordered, but they have to put through a credit for the other dress. I am still waiting to see if I am going to be refunded for both of these items...My previous experience...was also aweful...I never received my order after nearly 10 days and had to call and cancel. They said it was shipped, but it took forever to get here. I returned some of the items and had to call on that order also, because a refund had never been processed. It was processed eventually, but it was a very long time. This company has been one of the worst companies for customer service and prompt shipping and returns. I will not order from them again. Still waiting to see if I will receive refund before filing a formal complaint.

I placed an order on 3/9/20. I received an email saying the items had shipped but had no tracking number. I called on 3/18/20 to inquire about my shipment & was informed that my shipment had been lost in transit. They shipped a replacement order. I received an email stating that the order had shipped w/a tracking number saying it would arrive on 3/23/20. I received an email from my local Soft Surroundings store saying my order had arrived and I could come in & pick it up. The order was supposed to be sent to my home address. So I called because once again the shipment of my order was messed up. I was told my only 2 options were to wait until the store reopened & pick up my items or to refund the order & pay a charge & redo the order & have it shipped to my home. Neither option was acceptable. I was not going to pay for a mistake (a twice made mistake) that was not my fault. I placed this order on 3/9/20 because I needed the items. I was surprised @ the lack of customer service.

Soft Surroundings I haven't had any issues with this company

I haven't had any issues with this company. The self-importance of some of these complaints is quite surprising to me, especially the one where the woman expected to pick up her order during a three-day trip to a certain location to avoid a $9.50 shipping charge. She could have simply had it shipped to her home. It's not within their control how quickly third-party shippers operate, nor is it their fault that her mother is elderly while she is not. Another complaint is from someone who is complaining on the day of their expected delivery during a pandemic. I don't work for this company, but even I can see that they are doing their best. These customers are unreasonable and feel entitled.

Soft Surroundings Catalogues

I have been trying for over 4 years to get this horrible company to stop sending me catalogues. They come at least every month, sometimes more. I have written, emailed, called numerous times, to no avail. They have promised many times that I won't get another catalogue, but sure enough, they keep on coming. What a sad, sad thing for our planet. What a horrid company.

Soft Surroundings perfume ordered smells old and rancid

I sent a complaint to the Complaints Board on Nov. 19, 2017 and have yet to hear anything from them or Soft Surroundings. I would like to know the reason why no one has even acknowledged my complaint let alone resolve it.

I will never purchase another thing from SS. Their quality of merchandise and their customer service is lousy compared to other on-line companies.

Soft Surroundings quality of "l" perfume

I purchased the sample size of L perfume and was very satisfied so I ordered the large bottle of the perfume. The perfume was rancid and not at all like the sample. I have not complained earlier thinking it was perhaps my perception.
But every time I use it, I get upset so have decided to notify Customer Service. The bottle was not stored near heat or in sunlight. I simply believe it was old when sent. I would like to request a new bottle or a refund of the purchase.

Soft Surroundings deceptive shipping delays and services

Loyal customer from Maui, HI. Purchased 2 items online 4/13/2017 w/appx $18.00 for standard 3-5 day shipping. Order shipped 4/15 (thank you) - via FedEx SmartPost but is now sitting in Kansas held until 5/1 and now 5/3 delivery? Population in HI does a lot of online shopping and shipments never take this long even via USPS. I inquired and received no logical answers - just "It takes longer to Hawaii". Then you should have notified me prior to completion of my order and given me the option to pay a little more for shipping. I don't even want to do business with this company anymore. FedEx transcript complaint and emails with Soft Surroundings reveals deceptiveness and substandard business practices. FedEx and USPS deliveries are a hub here daily - there is no excuse and holding back a product from a paying customer is poor service. I don't care about the $10.00 refund on shipping - I just wanted the product as promised and not to be deceived.

Soft Surroundings I will not buy from soft surroundings ever again!

I placed an order with Soft Surroundings and two days later I received a message stating that there was something wrong with my order and they asked me to call them as soon as possible. When I called their rep explained that my order was no longer in stock and they were unable to do anything about that. I decided to cancel everything and get my money back but their rep shocked me by saying they don't do refunds! They left me no other choice and literally made me pick something else. I will not buy from Soft Surroundings ever again!

Soft Surroundings the website fooled me and hasn't delivered on time

I won’t buy from www.softsurroundings.com ever again. I purchased dress and 3 bracelets from these people. I checked the delivery time and it was rather fast. I have 4 weeks before my vacation, so I was calm and thought that I would get the order on time. It was mistake to buy from them, because the seller hasn’t sent and delivered the order at all. Now he avoids me and ignores my emails. I won’t advise this website.

Soft Surroundings overnight shipping

I ordered two items to have expedited shipping (overnight). When checking out, it doesn't state that they won't deliver on a Saturday. I called to ask if they could have it delivered on a Saturday, since it was my birthday. A very rude customer service agent named Lisa stated, you should read the shipping page which is located at the bottom of the website. I asked again if anything could be done to have this sent overnight, since I paid $35.00 in overnight shipping. She, in her little girl voice, stated once again, I'm looking it up, I stated what was she looking up - she said the shipping page where it states they only deliver on business days. In fact, their website states:

When will my order arrive? In-stock orders are typically delivered within 2-4 business days from the expected ship date via Fedex unless an expedited ship method is chosen. FEDEX Home delivery delivers Tuesday through Saturday. FEDEX commercial to a business delivers Monday through Friday.
Can I get my items more quickly? 2nd Day shipping: For delivery in 2 business days, please add $7.95 to our standard shipping charge.
Next day delivery: For delivery in 1 business day, please add $15.95 to our standard shipping charge.

I informed Lisa that it states FEDEX Home delivery delivers Tuesday thru Saturday. She said, no not on expedited! As her voice climbed higher and higher. Very rude woman. This page of their shipping instructions is not listed when you are checking out. It does not state anywhere on the checkout page that if you pay $35.00 you can't get something delivered on a Saturday. They are misleading the public with their shipping and get you to pay more. I am now out the order and the shipping. Caution to the buyer.

Hi Soft Surroungings, I did call and speak with a Supervisor and she stated the same thing. She would not do anything to correct his matter and reinforced the issue by stating "this is our policy" - she in fact went on to state - "you should have read the shipping information before you ordered it" - again great customer service. So, once again, here I sit with no merchandise, paid over $200 in merchandise from your catalogue, paid $35.00 in expedited shipping, which is in fact not expedited because you wont simply check the box that states home delivery for Saturdays. I did speak with Fedex and they have it in my city just waiting to be delivered. The supervisor at Fedex stated it was ridiculous and agreed with me because home delivery was not an extra charge for Saturdays. I could have received the merchandise and this would not have been a problem. I could have picked up the merchandise today from a fedex location if the correct boxes would have been marked. And, now because Monday is a holiday, I wait until Tuesday. It is not clear when you are checking out that you do not deliver expedited packages on Saturdays. Funny thing is you do deliver on Saturdays if it 's not expedited. Please tell me what you would like for me to do next? Thank you.

Soft Surroundings dont take your clothes there!

Kiln creek cleaners shrunk 2 of my soft surrounding sweaters last month, yesterday I went to put on a poncho I had dry cleaned at kiln creek last year still has the dry cleaning tags on it and it was so little I couldnt even get it over my shoulders. It was also soft surroudings so now I have over 350.00 worth of clothing shrunk by kiln creek. Dont take your clothes there. They dont stand behind there cleaning or should I say shrinking. Beware beware beware
