They are untrustworthy, misleading, and impossible to get a hold of
They are untrustworthy, misleading, and impossible to get a hold of. I've been given a contract I didn't agree with. My warranty is all messed up and I'm very unhappy with my overall experience with Indy Auto Man.
I bought a truck from Indy Auto Man, LLC on 11/16, but I still haven't received the title as of 1/31/22
I bought a truck from Indy Auto Man, LLC on 11/16, but I still haven't received the title as of 1/31/22. They blamed COVID for the delay, but isn't it against the law to sell a vehicle without a title? I even gave them a written notice to take the truck back within 10 days, but now they're asking for more time. Meanwhile, I'm stuck without a truck and still making payments.
Indy Auto Man, LLC is the absolute worst dealer I've ever dealt with
Indy Auto Man, LLC is the absolute worst dealer I've ever dealt with. They straight up lied the whole time. They lied about the fees and how much things cost. And when it came to the finance stuff, they had things on there that shouldn't have been there. And when I asked about those extra fees for stuff I didn't even want, they got all mean and aggressive with me. They didn't want to take them off. We couldn't do business with a dealer that was so dishonest and rude.
They scamed me gave me a bill of sale I told them on October 10th I owed 6,500 on my car and what I planned to pay on it
They scamed me gave me a bill of sale I told them on October 10th I owed 6,500 on my car and what I planned to pay on it. As I have all of the texts messages. October 16th I drove 6:30 mins with a check from my bank of what the bill of sale was. When I got there they told me I owed 6,000 dollars because they didnt include my car which was a lie they gave me 5,114 for my car so I've would of only owed left 1,400 and change. The bill of sale was for around 26,000 total when I got there they racked all the way up to 38,000.
I bought a car from this dealer before, no issues
I bought a car from this dealer before, no issues. Went back in April, got an F-150 for $26,000. Sales guy was great, truck drove fine at first. But then, within 7 days, it started misfiring like crazy. I called them, manager emailed me back. Service department tried to call, but when I called back, no response. So, I took it to a local mechanic. Turns out, the electrical connectors to the coils were held together with coat hangers. Clearly, they didn't check this truck properly. I don't want to go on and on, but in the past 6 months, I had to replace a bunch of stuff: coils/plugs ($800), timing chain ($3,400), turbo ($1,400), pinions ($800), alternator and serpentine belt ($1,500), brake vacuum hose ($550). I know there's always a risk with used cars, but spending $26,000 and getting this result is way worse than the usual risk. They might say they tried to communicate, but most of it was just negotiating what they would fix and what I had to pay for. Didn't give me much confidence in their service. The manager was sorry and responsive, but it's too bad the rest of the company isn't like that. I've recommended them to others, hope they had a better experience. I can show my receipts and service records if needed.
I bought a 2015 Silverado from Indy Auto Man in late January
I bought a 2015 Silverado from Indy Auto Man in late January. Everything seemed good with the truck - low miles, clean body, etc. But when I took it for a test drive, the check engine light came on. They told me it was the O2 sensor, which they "fixed". I took the truck for another test drive and told the salesman that something didn't seem right with the shifting. He test drove the truck and said everything was fine. I asked them to do a full inspection of the truck, computer read, etc., which they agreed to. They again told me everything was fine with the truck/inspection and it was solid. But after about a month or two, the transmission blew - I couldn't afford the warranty. When I took the truck to a certified dealership, they said Indy Auto Man should have caught the transmission issue if they did a proper inspection. Now, I have to spend $6,000 to replace the transmission. When I contacted the salesman again, he said he did nothing wrong. I'm an honest person and I asked him to be honest with me before I bought the truck. He had no problem telling me the truck was in perfect shape. Well, he lied and now I'm out $6,000. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. I've never felt so disrespected. They knowingly sold me a lemon and lied to my face. Don't buy a car from Indy Auto Man.
On August 18th, I purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima from Indy Auto Man, LLC
On August 18th, I purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima from Indy Auto Man, LLC. I opted out of the Power Train warranty but chose comprehensive insurance. Just nine days later, the car began to underperform in acceleration. On August 28th, I visited their service center for a diagnosis. They attributed the issue to the CVT transmission, assuring me it was typical behavior but to return if problems persisted within a week.
After two weeks with no response from them, I returned on September 16th, suspecting a fault. They reiterated the CVT transmission's characteristics the following day.
By October 26th, a check engine alert prompted a visit to AutoZone, revealing a transmission assembly replacement was necessary. I contacted the Indy Auto Man service center, who were unsurprised. On November 2nd, they confirmed a failing transmission.
Eventually, the Sales Manager informed me that my warranty had expired, and any repairs would be at my expense. Despite my repeated visits and reports of issues, they offered a limited warranty extension, covering only $2,500 of the costs. I faced a $2,300 out-of-pocket expense or the burden of trading in and re-financing for another car from their inventory.
I urge Indy Auto Man to replace my transmission at no cost. I diligently reported every issue, and it's unfair to bear the stress of additional financial strain or vehicle replacement. They should assume responsibility and rectify the situation without further inconvenience to me.

On February 26, 2022, I sold a 2006 GMC Envoy XL to *** who is a salesman for the dealership
On February 26, 2022, I sold a 2006 GMC Envoy XL to *** who is a salesman for the dealership. He had me sign paperwork for the sale of the vehicle for $2000. He informed me that their accounting department was closed and they would mail out a check to me once the accounting department reopened the following Monday (28th). As of today, March 12, I still haven't received payment for my vehicle. He told me in an email on March 4 that the check would be sent that day, but there was no confirmation from the dealership that the check was actually sent. Basically, this dealership took my car without paying, and I will be filing a police report on Monday, March 14.
My experience with Indy Auto Man was terrible
My experience with Indy Auto Man was terrible. Me and my husband bought a truck from them and after 35 days, we had to get a $3000 repair done. And just two weeks later, we had to get another repair done for $2700. Can you believe it? Now the truck is back in the shop again, and this time it's going to cost us over $1000 to fix. We've only had the truck for a little over 90 days. It's a $40,000 truck that they sold us! Oh, and let's not even talk about the warranty they sold us. It wasn't the one my husband wanted. When the check engine light came on, he took it back to them, but they didn't want to fix it. They told us to go to GMC and have them look at it. We asked them to help pay for the repair (which would be the right thing to do) or take the truck back. But instead of doing the right thing, they wanted us to trade the truck in and end up owing more on a new loan. This place is unbelievable. I feel like we've been scammed out of $40,000. All we wanted was for Indy Auto Man to stand behind their vehicles.
I bought a 2019 Kia Sorento online, relying on the dealer to be honest and provide a properly fixed car
I bought a 2019 Kia Sorento online, relying on the dealer to be honest and provide a properly fixed car. But the dealer didn't tell me upfront about the accident history. They made me sign an "as is" warranty after I was already interested in the car. It took two weeks for the car to be delivered after I paid. When it arrived, the driver's window button was broken. The salesperson said it was fine when it was shipped. I had to spend $120 on the part and install it myself.
During my first drive, I noticed the car pulling to the left. It took two weeks to get an appointment for a front-end alignment. The Goodyear dealer told me that the right front control arm was bent. It took another two weeks to get the part and schedule an installation, which cost me $450.
At this point, I asked the dealer to refund my expenses. Instead, they suggested that I must have bent the control arm myself. Later, I had the safety system computer scanned and found several safety codes due to incorrect wiring used in the accident repair.

Purchased car on Sept 9, 2019
Purchased car on Sept 9, 2019. On Sept 27, 2019, I contacted dealer to cancel service contract. Total automotive protection plan canceled the service contract and gap insurance on Oct 21, 2019. They said money would be refunded to Indy auto man 'cause they gotta refund their mark up price for the service contract. Money got refunded to Indy auto man on March 5. I contacted Indy auto man on March 27, April 2, and May 13, but no resolution. Refund ain't been refunded to my lender Wells Fargo. Indy auto man keeps sayin' they lookin' into it and even accused me of tryin' to scam 'em. I told 'em I got emails to prove who I talked to, but they said them folks ain't workin' there no more. They charged me $4700.00 for this contract that I ain't even got a copy of in my initial paperwork when I bought the car. Only when I got my paperwork from the lender did I see I been charged for a service contract.
I was lookin' for a car in July-August
I was lookin' for a car in July-August . I saved up 2200 bucks in 3 months. I checked out Indy Auto Man's car lot and found a 2016 Impala. I really liked the car and wanted all the fancy stuff. They offered me gap insurance, theft protection, and a FULL warranty. The finance manager, Toronto, gave me all these options. He also said my warranty covered everything, 'cept for tires, oil changes, and brakes pads/rotors. Now, I got a service rear back up camera message on my dash. When I called to get it checked, my warranty company told me it only covers engine and transmission problems, not electrical stuff. I'm super mad and can't get a hold of Toronto at all. They said I gotta talk to finance, but there ain't no finance guy available. This business is so misleading and doesn't give enough info to their customers. He told me everything was covered. Please help me out. The reviews for this company are mostly negative, like 80%. They sell crappy used cars and just patch 'em up like they're fine.
I bought a 2016 Chevy Suburban on Nov,23 2019
I bought a 2016 Chevy Suburban on Nov,23 2019. I also got GAP INSURANCE FOR $1000.00 and a TAPP WARRANTY FOR $3000.00. On Oct,21 2020, I asked to cancel and get a refund for the GAP and TAPP plans through email. Amy Banner replied and asked if anyone had contacted me about the issue. I said I was glad someone reached out and she forwarded my email to Tim M, the Finance Manager, to help me. Tim asked for documentation on Oct,27 2020 to show that the loan was PAID IN FULL. I emailed him the proof on Oct 27,2020 from Wells Fargo Auto stating PIF. Tim said he would use Oct,27 2020 as the cancellation date. I got the GAP refund from Wells Fargo Auto within 10 days. I waited 45 days for the TAPP refund, thinking it might take a while since it was a large amount. In Dec, 2020, I sent Tim several emails about the REFUND I requested for the TAPP warranty. I got several responses from the controller, who mixed something up, or the processor misunderstood the payment of GAP, or there was a mix-up somewhere, or they were named incorrectly, causing confusion on our side. He said he would address it again on Monday. On Dec,31 2020, Tim told me they were closing for the holidays and he would check back with me on Monday. I emailed Tim M on Jan,12 2021 to see where things were, but I haven't received any response. It seems like there has been no progress or attempt to refund the money I requested since I haven't heard anything from Tim M or anyone from Indyautoman to Date. JAN 18, 2021.
This place sold me a car that has transmission problems
This place sold me a car that has transmission problems. I brought the car back the day after I purchased it and it's been sitting in their lot since then. When I say the day after, I mean the day after. I even got on their website and sent their office a message on their own message center letting them know. I tried to come in the next day because they were closed on Sunday and this salesman wouldn't let me test drive another car, saying he would need to pull my credit again. He told me to come in the next day because they like to have three hours for this kind of thing. I got there at 20 till 4 yesterday on Monday. That means there was over 2 hours for them to help me get a different car and he wouldn't even let me test drive one. It doesn't make any sense to me. They should just rip up the contract that was done literally the business day before. It's extremely shady for a place to sell someone a car with transmission problems the day before and not happily rip up the contract. If they really want happy customers like they say. The craziest part was that I went and this guy wouldn't even let me test other cars. I wasn't even allowed to test drive another vehicle. I don't know how anyone else does business there, but the person I worked with makes me wish I hadn't chosen to do business with this place. They said my credit was in the 720's, so why would you need to pull it again to let me test drive another car? The absolutely craziest thing is that this guy I worked with, Tex, was just friendly as could be before he made the sale. Two days I came in and he was nice. Then after the sale, he wasn't nice and helpful. I feel uncomfortable enough now that I feel like I'd need a lawyer to even exchange the vehicle based on how I was treated. I assume the owner doesn't know that his employee is being this way to a paying customer. It doesn't make any sense to me at all. Your cameras will show I was there, turned away.
