After having Intoxalock for about a year and a half now the device stopped working completely giving me a code I've never seen before, I called and spoke with customer service that day about 3-5 different times, I was told I needed to get it towed and needed the handheld device to get swapped out so I then had to get my car towed and once it was towed and arrived at service center the battery just stopped working completely not starting my car nothing at all, they said the battery needed to be charged and so it's what I did so I took the battery to get checked out and was told my battery was FRIED and BAD due to the Intoxalock wiring. I had to pay $430 out of pocket for tow service and battery replacement. I basically had to buy a new battery, mind you my car is new and I haven't even had it for a year yet and the battery was "bad". They said they won't reimburse me for those expenses because "it's my responsibility" how is it possible that the battery was done and fried within 15-25 minutes of it being towed. I called and complained about it and even talked with a supervisor and was told they would not cover anything except tow service since they don't know forsure that their device caused it. This is the worst company to have for breathalyzers. They are happy to take your money every month but when it comes down to faulty equipment messing with your car "it's our responsibility".
They were no help at all and very frustrating that I'm having to pay for something that was never my fault. They said they could not help me.
