We're thrilled with the work Irish Construction did on our concrete stairs
We're thrilled with the work Irish Construction did on our concrete stairs. Others said they were too far gone to repair, but they look great now -- and they have a five-year guarantee. I'd called Irish Construction just to ask for a bid before going ahead with the demolition. I'm so glad I did! Tony M. said they had a cancellation and were able to come out the next day. We also had some tuck pointing done (did I mention the house is more than 100 years old?). Great job, great price!
Irish construction did beautiful work tuckpointing our 100 year old archway
Irish construction did beautiful work tuckpointing our 100 year old archway. They were even able to match the original mortar. They sealed the concrete at the base of our home and resurfaced the flight of steps leading from the street to prevent cracking and erosion. The job was well done and the workers were very professional. I wish I had known of them sooner as I have interacted with my share of bad contractors. Irish Construction will be my first call for anything plaster or concrete from this point on.
We were having some foundation and brick joint issues on our 90 year old garage and Irish Construction was a pleasure to work with. *** communicated with us in a very prompt manner and his team was punctual, polite, and very skilled. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Excellent service and crew. Very quick turnaround time from estimate to getting the job done. Quality work. Couldn't be happier.
They did great work - essentially rebuilt a brick wall, repaired my stucco wall, and repaired my front steps. They were responsive, quick, and did great work. Would definitely hire again.

Irish Construction responded quickly to my call, even meeting me the same day I called. I had some interior plaster that was cracked in a rental unit I own and there appeared to be an area needing some tuckpointing where the crack occurred. Irish Construction showed up very early the next morning with a full crew and finished the job as promised. They tuck pointed the exterior wall and patched the interior plaster. Great turn around enabling me to list my rental quickly without delay. I'll use them again for sure!
They were very efficient, fast and did a great job! They gave us a great deal. *** and his crew followed through addressing concerns I had mentioned, making botched concrete block retaining wall and uneven stairway look awesome. Everyone pitched in at the end to clean up leaving the alley and yard better than they found it. Polite, friendly and professional. I will call on them for future projects!
I have a 100+ year old house and discovered that the chimney--which ran through the center of the house, was leaning, putting stress on the rafters and the overall structural integrity of the house. If nothing was done, then eventually the chimney would collapse with terrible consequences. Because the repair was extremely difficult it seemed impossible to find a company that was even willing to come out and look at the problem firsthand. ***, owner/director of Irish Construction, was the only one who had the courage, and confidence in his team of workers, to make an assessment, explain exactly what could be done and how, and provide a bid. I offered him the job and he came out with his crew the following Monday. The job turned out to be even more difficult than anticipated, and additional materials were required. Yet *** did not add those expenses to the price he bid. His foremost concerns throughout the process were the long-term safety of the homeowner by stabilizing the chimney, and the safety of his workers during the repair process. Would I recommend Irish Construction? Absolutely.
I called Irish Construction Co for a tuckpointing bid on my 100+ year old home
I called Irish Construction Co for a tuckpointing bid on my 100+ year old home. Tony was able to estimate the job sooner than my appointment, so he came with his crew to do the work. Tony offered me a discount on the estimate I had, which made this project more affordable. They did an excellent job and worked efficiently. They are professionals with years of experience that result in high quality workmanship. I will call Tony to estimate plaster projects, and concrete work, and will recommend Irish Construction company to friends and family.
They squeezed in my job quickly, and gave me a very competitive rate. They went above and beyond with job as well. They walked me through each item, showed me exactly what they did, and made sure I was happy with the result. The neighbor even got a free car wash at no charge. I would highly recommend them.
and his crew are very professional, well priced and FAST! We had an extensive amount of work that needed to be done on our older stucco home. *** bid the job on a Sunday morning and by Monday afternoon all the work was completed and beautiful! Thank you so much! We will be using him for all our stucco needs.
Required plaster repair and touch up to my basement walls. Fit me in the schedule quickly. Arrived on time. Went right to work. Managed the mess well. Repair looks great! I recommend their services.
Im giving them 5 stars because the work does look very well done, but this is my honest review. I called and they came out the next day. Many other companies I called for a quote never called me back or it told weeks to get a quote from. They completed all of the plaster repair and tuckpointing the same day. So the initial quote increased quite a bit after the job was done, but they did repair quite a bit more after assessing in person instead of based on photos. They cleaned up everything outside but did not clean up the inside after the plasterwork was completed. They used drop cloths but still left a decent a mess so some plaster needed to be scraped off the hardwood floors. Not saying I didnt expect some mess, but Ive had others work on the house with less mess left behind. Overall still very satisfied with Irish Construction and would work with them again in the future.
Called several companies for bids on tuckpointing a chimney to help close a real estate transaction
Called several companies for bids on tuckpointing a chimney to help close a real estate transaction. Irish was first to return my call and set up an appointment. Tony came out to look at the job; he was focused on what I needed done, gave me a no-nonsense bid, and had a crew on the job the next morning. Crew finished the work by noon, cleaned up and were gone. The work is tight and looks good. And they didn't leave a mess like some other tuckpointing companies. We've got another chimney to tuckpoint, and we'll call Irish for that. I enjoyed talking with Tony and recommend Irish Construction for your tuckpointing jobs.

I needed my entry steps repaired from former mortar and brick companies, none of their work was sustainable at all, each year I had to get the steps repaired again! Then I decided to just ripped them out and get a complete replace entry steps, well as Covid-19 the prices soared! So I was recommended to try Irish Construction to do my repairs. I tell you I'm VERY pleased with the eye for details and professionalism from these guys! Very knowledgeable about what and how I should maintain other needed construction matters to my outside home. I wished I had contact these guys years ago! You won't be disappointed with their pricing!

Called Irish Construction to have some concrete work done on my old house - back entry step falling apart, concrete wall on the verge of collapse, front porch damaged by age and rock salt. Tony and his crew - Kevin,Kevin,Joe and Shaun - showed up on time and got right to work...and what a GREAT job they did! Tony,Kevin and Kevin explained everything to me that they were doing and even answered questions as their work went along. And when their work was complete they thoroughly cleaned up and went over their work to make certain that they hadn't missed a detail. I phoned the office to button things up with Julia and she immediately took care of final paperwork. My back step, wall and porch look like new! I have other work that needs to be done and I will certainly use them again...I've already passed the word about them to a friend. Great job,Irish Construction.

Tony and his team are my Family now!
Tony and his team are my Family now! We are new to this area and it was nice to meet this amazing team! Tony, the owner, came out the same day I called. His team of professional gentlemen came out the next day and fixed everything! (TODAY) Tony was a true professional, he only had his team fix what was needed and let me know what was normal wear and tear and did not need to be fixed. He saved me money! His team were courteous, motivated and meticulous with their work, and extremely clean. Their work is amazingly beautiful. I hear all the time, You get what You paid for...this team went beyond what we thought we were paying for...I would call the work...priceless. I trust this team and will continue to use them for other projects as needed. Thank You Tony and Team! They worked on tuckpoints, concrete around the outside of the basement wall and plaster in two areas inside.
My front porch is one big concrete slab that was badly sinking forward into my front yard and causing the support beams to detach from the roof
My front porch is one big concrete slab that was badly sinking forward into my front yard and causing the support beams to detach from the roof. I called Irish Construction and Tony responded right away. He came out and assessed the issue then came to do the job the next day. Tony and his crew came out to my residence on time and worked very hard as they mud jacked my sinking porch. They did fast work and left no mess behind. Julia in the office was delightful to speak with and was very professional and the young woman on the crew named Shelby was quite impressive as well. Very happy to see there are still good workers around! I called a few companies and I'm more than satisfied with my decision to choose Irish Construction. Additionally they have a great attitude and gave me a fair price for the work. I also needed some tuckpointing work done on my chimney and decided to hire them to repair that as well as I was extremely pleased with their work. I highly recommend this company!
Tony and Crew were wonderful!
Tony and Crew were wonderful! We have a 90 yr old home with stone foundation that leaked! Tony knew how to seal it and in two days the job was completed! Tony and his crew were on time, neat, polite as Tony had to explain the process so I could understand it! These guys worked non stop until the job was complete. First digging around my house by hand as to not disturb the landscaping - then treating the wall and covering it fast as the rain was moving in - then they moved to the inside of my basement, first filling in an old fireplace with extra stone, tuck pointing the holes in the wall then sealing the entire area. They returned the next day to reseal the area as well as clean the floor. I don't think I have ever seen a more concentrated and determined bunch of guys! My husband and I couldn't be happier with the job that they did! Not only does the basement look great I just checked it after all the rain we received and its dry! Without a doubt, my husband and I recommend Irish construction!

Tony and Kevin were exceptional in service and quick with their high quality work
Tony and Kevin were exceptional in service and quick with their high quality work. Had some water damage on the wall over my fireplace that previous residents had blatantly covered up with paneling and residual moisture from previous leakage had generated mold (unbeknown until the paneling was removed during repair work). Nonetheless, Kevin and Tony quickly addressed the mold before continuing work, giving me detailed instructions on follow-up treatments after the new plastering (which is professionally applied and very level) layers were affixed. Transparency of services provided was crystal clear and very well explained, at that. Cleanup was sufficient and more than most contractors will provide, thus exceeding expectations. Erie Construction lives up to the name. This late descendant of some respectable immigrants from Belfast got a sure taste of decent hospitality and service, from the phone call made to have an appointment (Julia is a good secretary and also deserves commendation) to meeting Tony for a bid, to the next day when services were rendered and expectations exceeded. I will be calling again for further business, as needed!
If there's one thing the people need, it's knowledge, respect and compassion!
If there's one thing the people need, it's knowledge, respect and compassion! These are principles that should be implemented in all aspects of life. I contacted this company a day prior to my scheduled estimate. Here in St. Louis we experienced a lot of rain shortly after a lot of snow. Because of the time restrictions I had personally, I was fitted into a very busy schedule which was greatly appreciated. Upon arrival the next day, after looking at the scope of work, I was informed that the job needed (to eliminate the water in my basement) would be expensive to complete. However, because of the simplicity of the work, it could be done myself. That's where the compassion comes in! I am grateful to have met an honest contractor, not seeking self-gain. He told me what and how and gave me the option to pay or save thousands. With the current pandemic, stimulus checks, and the hardships we are all facing, he was still respectful, honest, and personable! I would recommend this company to any and everyone JUST based on these facts alone. Looking at their prior work tells a lot about the great work that they do as well. Thank you, Irish Construction! May blessings flow throughout your entity and personal endeavors. Respectfully

He quoted me a job where he was going to fix external masonary areas of the house
He quoted me a job where he was going to fix external masonary areas of the house. Crew spent 4 hours at the house and then wanted full payment. Due to rain I was not able to inspect the work after rain went away; I noticed they did not perform the task I hired them for. Guy flat out lied to me and told me he was done.
I asked for a contract from this company and was never provided one
I asked for a contract from this company and was never provided one. Instead he gave me invoices. He was to tuck point around the house as specified. He didn't tuck point, he sprayed something like concrete. He only did part of the house. I gave him $4,000 already. He went off on us in front of the neighbors making all kinds of accusations. We have witnesses. Some of the workers offered to come and do the work on the side. They did no prepping ahead of time. He sprayed only the front steps and the back of the basement doorway. I did not get $4,000 worth of work. He performed so badly, my husband told him to leave.
On May 24, I contacted Irish Construction to get a bid for patching a concrete front porch
On May 24, I contacted Irish Construction to get a bid for patching a concrete front porch. The owner, Anthony, came over to look at the job. He convinced me that I should have the porch and front walkway resurfaced for a cost of $3000.00. This would include some concrete patching for a slab under an AC unit and some tuckpointing/repair on a side of the house. I received a work proposal on May 25th, they came on May 27th. He then charged $400 more for additional work. The job on the walk and porch did not look good or professional; they told me that it would look better when dry. It did not look better. They came back when asked and redid it, which made it worse. It is patchy, has swirls and in areas where it would have been easy to have filled in missing areas of concrete, it was not done. When I emailed Tony to complain, he came to look one more time but nothing was done. The job on the walk and porch makes it look worse than it did at the start.

Friday , June 19th, I called Irish construction and was instructed to send pictures of what I needed done. I sent pictures and asked if someone could come out and give me a quote. I was told by the Irish guy that he can't make it out to give me a quote but could show up and do work the next morning. Saturday, June 20th The Irish guy and what appeared to be 2 drug addicts with no teeth and tattoos all over showed up. I told them what I wanted done (tuck pointing, holes filled in, and chimney fixed) and they agreed to start for 1000 and that when he came back it would probably be another 1500. I agreed. They didn't fix the lean in the chimney, they put “skim coat" on it and put mortar on top to seal it. Okay but that's not what I paid for and the chimney is still leaning pretty badly. They brushed lose mortar out of the house wall and put more mortar in not even grinding out old mortar that was stuck in there, so there's new mortar mixed in with old mortar. In the basement I asked to have 4 holes filled, and the foundation stones around the basement door filled in. They filled in 2 holes and then put mortar over the expanding foam in the door jam without even ripping the foam out. I've had 2 other companies come out and tell me I've been ripped off. Andre tuck pointing said they will draw up a quote for the work that Irish construction did for me tomorrow so I can submit it here(ComplaintsBoard.com) and any other places I file complaints with, and will add it tomorrow. I'm also waiting on another company to come out to give me a quote too. Also when I contacted Irish construction about my complaint before filing anything with the ComplaintsBoard.com or other agencies he agreed to do some work, but turnt to a man child and started cursing at me when I said I'd take them coming back at as a resolution if he would do the tuck pointing propely(grinding all old mortar out and adding new mortar. After I said I want it done properly he curses at me and tells me he doesn't owe me anything after he tells me he'd come and fix it. I still have all the texts of him saying he'd fix the Robles and cursing me out.
I have no complaints with these guys. They came to my house this week and sealed an entry way where critters were crawling into my basement. I called the owner that morning and he was out the same day with two other gentlemen. They identified the problem area and immediately got to work and fixed the problem. I would highly recommend them.

Very impressed by the work that Irish Construction did on our patio, front walk, and steps. Excellent communication from *** and his crew throughout the job, they arrived early in the morning and got right to work. I am blown away by how good our patio looks! I highly recommend them for any concrete needs.
Excellent service, quality work and reasonably priced. Great crew too.
Very friendly and super fast turnaround. My concrete steps were in disrepair and *** and his team had them looking great in no time! I will definitely be calling them again for future projects.
did some cement work for me. The work appeared to be ok until after it dried, some things I pointed out to him after he completed the job and he said it looks like that because it's still wet. I have contacted him by phone leaving voice mails and text messages and I have emailed him. He has failed to respond to resolve the problem. I would not recommend his business to anyone.
