They spam MBAs with "exclusive" invitations to join... they get this emails by accessing the school's internal directories and stealing the addresses from there.
The jobs they post are copied and pasted from the career pages of top companies, they tell you, you have to pay to apply and then redirect you to the original company site... when you ask what their added value is they say that HR knows those are Ivy Exec Candidates and they get extra attention. This is bs. your resume goes into the same black hole as every other online applicant.
Then they charge you and refuse to give you a refund their excuse is that you had a free trial and you never cancelled...tricky cause they never email alerting you that your free trial is about to be over and you will be charged, if your school negotiated 6 months free after that period whether you like it or not if you don't remember to cancel your credit card is charged for 6 months of service.
If you see the logos of fortune 500 companies on their homepage, you would think those employers use Ivy Exec... not true ... several of these corporations have tried the service for free and were disappointed, Ivy Exec uses those logos without authorization.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Following a promotion from my business school I signed up for their free account but was surprised as it had virtually no listings for European positions. So I basically ignored the service from then on. Unfortunately, I hadn't been informed of their auto-renewal policy and was shocked to discover that they were billing me for a service I didn't use. I contacted them as soon as I'd noticed their charges but they said they were unable to do anything. My only hope now is to see if their practices meet EU law.
Totally agree - This site is worthless.
Phonies - beware of their job listings, too.
Obvious scam. I wasn't qualified for their site but if I gave them 500 million dollars they could drag me up to their level and save my soul. lol.
This site is a SCAM. I am qualified for many jobs on there and they come back and say my resume and application was not approved. Then they want you to pay for a resume writing service.
I signed up for free and they started sending me advertisements. As I was going through the advertisements I realized they posted an advert from the same company I currently work for and they were following up with me to pay $20 to apply for the position. The position in question was long removed form the company site. I contacted them and they asked me to send a link of the expired position so that they can give me a months subscription for free.
Not sure how I can get the link of the job which the company has removed some time back. Is there a time machine out there yet?

It's a scam.
Got the invitation from my school and registered. After checking the website decided that it was too expensive for what it does and although I canceled the auto renewal, they still took my money ($250 btw). Tried to contact them but no answer so far.
My advice to anyone is to stay away!
They will charge you absurd amounts without any prior notification. Never give them your credit card information for any reason!
They post listings on legit job sites, like Indeed, representing they are a Exec Search agency for that firm... after submitting a resume, they spam you with solicitations... they are no Exec Search firm... just a scam. Stay away.
Facing the same condition right now.
Bunch of scamsters.
Signed up, and had 2 options- free, or trial membership. When I chose free- they emailed me they would "consider" my enrollment. Not 30 seconds later, I received an email stating this:
copied from email... "Dear XNAMEX, Thank you for your interest in joining Ivy Exec. We are truly honored each time someone applies for membership in our community. Although we receive applications every day from highly accomplished professionals, at this time our service is suited to only a small percentage of them. For this reason, we are unable to approve your application. Our decision is not a reflection of your accomplishments, but rather recognizes that we can provide outstanding service to only a limited number of career professionals. If you have any questions, please let us know. One of our team members will be happy to follow up with you directly. We invite you to visit our blog, Intelligence@Work, for career insights and advice. Once again, we thank you for your interest. Sincerely, The Team @ Ivy Exec"
Seriously? They made their decision within 30 seconds of my application? So a real person reviewed my information, resume and details that quickly to determine I didn't qualify? I am sure if I did the "Trial" and gave my CC# so they could bill me automatically, then I would have been approved. This is how these sites make money- with the false sense of "elitism" or being chosen out of thousands of applicants.
And I know others will post on here saying I am whining because I was not chosen to be part of the Ivy Elite. No one wants to be left out...boo-hoo. What a crock!
I went to the site because I am unemployed- with a 4 yr degree from an "IVY" School with years of experience and a willingness to change and do whatever it takes- and POS websites like this just exploit this fact and sucker smart college educated people to fork over their gas money to belong to an invisible group of smarties! Almost as bad as that glorified jobboard site Linkedin!
Besides, the one job I wanted to apply for, finally appeared through several mis-directions from this site- only to learn it was removed from the companies site over a month ago. So how tech-savvy is this 30-something housebound dropout?
Get real- want to get a job? Indeed/Monster/Careerbuilder/Craigslist- or the good old fashioned newspaper will do.
If it looks like crap, smells like crap...
They just told me I was ineligible to apply, because they don't have position's that are suitable for me.
This is even though I have an MBA degree and over 20 years management experience.
Very shady suspicious. and confusing.
same happened here, they charged me a 1 year fee without warning and now refuse to cancel. I am furious.
They just charged me $254! I never even completed the reg to their site. I'm filing a complaint with BBB. Ivy Exec are bunch of scammers. Unbelievable!
Submitted my resume, and like others received a response 30 seconds later that I did not meet the approval process; ironic considering I'm an upper management professional with steady work history and several advanced degrees. Considering the complaints, I'm fine with their them turning me away and perhaps they did this because I didn't submit any payment information or sign up for the free trial. They also have several jobs which I am more than qualified for (in some cases the same job as I have now) which I noticed have been copied and pasted from other job boards and are no longer available; additionally, if the jobs is available I can apply FOR FREE through the actual company website so I'm not sure what 'service' they are really offering here. This site is obviously not professional, and I wouldn't waste my time submitting your information - you're be better of just searching Indeed.com.
I received a cold & discriminatory form letter denying my application for representation. I will not be recommending their services. Also found out that they are scamming people out of money. Read all the reviews people!
Found two separate fraudulent position listings on glassdoor by this organization. In both cases the descriptions had been copied from a legitimate listing by the company on the employer website, but Ivy had been renamed and reposted them on glassdoor - -- however, no such position title or similar opening existed at the company when they posted it. When I alerted glassdoor, they said to talk to Ivy as they listed them as real open positions. Fraud Fraud Fraud All designed to get the unformed to sign up and pay for their membership fee. If you see an Ivy opening you are interested in, you are best advised to go to the company website of that position first check to see if it is real, and then apply directly with the potential employer. These folk are scam artists that prey on the trusting and uninformed.
A complete scam. They charged me every month since June without my ever being aware that I had signed up for their services. Some kind of partnership with Beyond.com that must have gotten by me somehow. I only just noticed the charge on my most recent statement and contacted my credit card company and reported fraud. I then called up Ivy Exec and gave them an earful and let them know they would be hearing from my credit card company. Totally fraudulent.
I have been trying to contact someone at Ivyexec ever since I discovered that they changed an Associate's degree to a Master's degree. Their services, if legitimate, are geared towards a group in a higher education bracket and/or executive experience level.
I have yet to receive direct contact with anyone at this company. I am receiving the same exact response whether I use the form to contact Customer Support or directly email the founder, Elena Bajic.
As others have noted, they will quickly try to get you to try out services, "for a free trial", that quickly turn into paid services which are automatically billed to your credit card.
Some of the positions are not even real.
Yes. They continue to spam my mailbox. But it is a good thing if you are in the job market:
If you see something interesting in the email, click on it. It sends you to their site with job description. Of course you have to pay a lot to apply through their page. However, you can just cut and paste a few sentences from the job description into Google. Viola!
Don't pay ivyexec. Use them for free if you are in the market.
I vyexec a scam. They post jobs from free websites, removing the company name and require that you pay to apply. I realized this after I saw a position that was very similar to one that I applied for on indeed. Ivyexec required that I pay for there service to apply, when I did, I was directed to the same company website that I had applied to before. Total scam! Do not use this sight, prying on job seekers.
we were alerted to an unauthorized charge of $105 today from these guys... Have tried to call and email to cancel and get refund WITHOUT SUCCESS.. watch out this is a scam... We have reported them to Chase Visa.
I've attended several of the webinars and really enjoyed the career advice.
